I suppose the old system of waiting until the first page filled up with comments from random people isn't very practical any more. Still, I haven't posted on one of them for a long time, it probably wouldn't be good for my health or something.

So, new book, eh? I'm excited. I just hope Derek doesn't write anything but Skulduggery for the rest of his life. I love it, I really do, but I thought Demon Road was so good. I'd like to see what else he can do.
As for the blog, I don't really feel that it'll ever stop existing in some form or another. I'm still in contact with lots of people from it, even if we don't often actually come on, especially me.
But I still ghost and come back. I doubt I'll ever stop, so long as it's still hosted.
I've spent years saying the same as you, Trip,(the blog will never die out, it just has lulls), but honestly I've never seen it this dead in the past erm *counts* four and a half years I've been here. I agree, though, that this is pretty much as dead as it's ever been. I doubt it'll get any better. The culture on the internet has kind of shifted away from this sort of thing. I mean more that the friendships and memories will go on. Not to mention the strange siren song I get every now and then, just to check on things. Maybe if we turned into more of a thing where you leave a message for everyone to read and then come back in a couple of days to see their responses. A more long form kind of thing.

You know. I had something unique happen today. I'm an admin on Facebook for a Harry Potter group and as staff we're in all House chats except Gryffindor, so in Slytherin chat we got talking. And books we read came up. I said oh I loved SP and of the entire 5 or 6 of us on, one person knew it and we talked about the 10th book coming. So we got on to who we liked and I of course said I love Ravel. It felt awesome to talk about SP again!
I was in Atlantic City and I almost emailed you but I forgot, but you normally go to Seaside Heights, right? I couldn't quite remember. We're on LBI now though :)
