I was in a slightly larger version of my house and there were all these other people living there with my family because it was one of the only ones that hadn't been blown up yet, and there was an invisible guy going around shooting people, and there was nothing anybody could do about it except stay away from the windows, and we wanted to close the blinds, but we knew that standing in front of the window to do that would make us huge targets if the shooter was around, and then a Mrs. Landstein (idk about the name really, but it was something that started with an L) was shot, and I heard people say "well at least her death was one of the better ones, not messy" and they'd all become so desensitized to it all and it was really sad.
I told my mom about it when I woke up, and she said that I could hide in her closet if I wanted to.
I considered it, but I think it'd be better for me to try to be near windows to remind myself that nobody's going to shoot me and it was just a nightmare.
I woke up at around 5 or 6 and cried myself back to sleep. I had a dream about a leaf party before waking up again at around 10. I don't remember that one as vividly though. It's the nightmares or the really wtf dreams that stick in my head.

Well This proves my school is not the rest of the UK We had our own referendum The secondary school were 60% in favour of Remain The sixth form were 80% in favour of Remain
*shock*
Dude. The facists I know are gonna be so smug today. XD (No they're not fascists because they're vote Leave they're fascists because they are. Just clarifying. :P)
the cover is so beautiful! <3 I havent read the new series because... well im not really sure... but Skulduggery Pleasant will always be some of my favorite ever books no matter how old i get ;) it kinda reminds me of the earlier Skulduggery covers :) ill admit I have a different taste in books now but im hoping to check out Demon Road soon :) i just have other things I need to spend money on haha
Someone on Facebook posted a meme of old people and the caption is 'votes for brexit.. Does before becoming victims of that decision'
*tries to calm*
Voted leave? That's fine Voted stay? That's fine
Just don't take it out on others when you lose Cause to me spreading hates on Facebook like calling people racists for leaving sounds like an infant crying over the fact they can't get their own way)
Haha yes you Brits are screwed no offense ;) not as much as us with Trump but still not great ;) the world is gonna be a mess... sorry ill leave you guys alone haha I just saw the cover and was like ooohhhh pretty... im kinda magnetically drawn to pretty things! You should see me trying to play computer games ;) im like yes I could kill that giant mutated robotic armored alien but noooo theres some pretty waterfalls to look at ;) the waterfalls always win in my head ;)
We have a little community here that all are welcome to
The thing is there are pros and cons to leaving the EU but no one knows at all what will happen in the long run and everyone is being so hateful to people who shared their opinion)
Aw thanks <3 ill warn you that I havent read the books in years and havent read the last one at all... I never finish anything because im scared of it ending haha... its kinda late here but im basically nocturnal anyway ;)
You know what. If everyone had given believe able facts and figures people might've paid more attention to the economic impact. As it was they were just to just mostly vote on emotion.
... I dont get politics... to me its just bad people campaigning against other bad people to lead a bad government who does bad things... thats my opinion haha... if youre not racist and have some interest in helping the environment im gonna vote for you :)
Me & Cat: *talking about how it feels like the world's ended* Cat: *gets notification on phone* Oh look Cameron's said something! *eagerly starts loading BBC news app* Me: I bet it won't be anything good. Cat: Oh no it will it will. *app loads* BBC news: Cameron to quit after EU referendum. Cat: *distress* Oh no! Oh no I loved Cameron! My life is over! I'm gonna die! Me: *slightly amused*
Well... im not sure... I cant really say haha... all I know is what has been broadcast over here ;) to me Trump is racist and sexist and one of the biggest jerks ever and you guys probably think the same about some of your politicians I guess :) ... but if youre talking about like an ordinary person being called racist thats totally not ok :( Im all yay cooperation lets everyone work together and be happy but just because youre not like that doesnt mean youre racist... being racist makes you racist ;)
Ive heard the pound sterling dropped in value... good luck you guys ;)
Im gonna try and get some sleep I think... its nice to meet you all and you seem like amazing people <3 this is the uh... second social media site ive got now??? Im starting to think maybe I might be normal ;) ill come back here again for sure :) Thank you!
Pretty much a very quick summary of the referendum from someone who doesn't vote and doesn't get poltics because it's just so confusing and shit... anyway
Let's see, Farage lied to us, that extra £350 doesn't exist, he said it himself. He said that it was a mistake on the leave campaigns part (pr***!) so a lot of people who voted leave probably did it for that money and now it's gone *slow clap*
The pound has shat its self, and gone down faster than a kamikaze pilot
David cameron rage quit his job, even though other MPs told him he has to stay on because he has a duty to do
It's gonna apparently take something like another 2 years to actually leave the eu, now it's probably longer due to Cameron legging it when the shit hit the fan So now this country is a shambles right now /:
Good luck Britain, we're gonna bloody need it
P.s the Scottish might try to leave again xD (could happen not saying it is going to happen )
Yeah the SNP are already talking about it. I mean, overwhelmingly, most of the remain vote was in Scotland... So I guess it would make sense that they would try.
I find it so weird though, Cameron thought it would be an easy win. And so did kind of everybody and a lot of people just figured it would be over with and put to sleep and the EU would hold hands like nothing happened at the end of the day.
And then he puts it to the vote and the people vote leave.
Like, I don't understand where Cameron went so wrong with his predictions.
I can see what they mean by saying its a day for racists, they're firing shots at the immigration part of it all, because that was one of the topics that was hotly contested was the immigration, so people who voted leave are being called racists, I don't know what was said about it all though
Exactly and that's why, some people voted out, others was for the imaginary money that we should have but we don't
And others for other reasons that I don't know like So all in all, some are racists other are not, either way it's happened time to deal with the aftermath of it all
Yeah, I get the argument for stopping the other EU people taking the benefits and grants and everything...I'm not entirely sure that's racist though. Because sometimes it has been an abuse of the system.
Noelle, same. And I'm not meaning to offend but we're heading to Britain this Christmas and if we buy the pounds once it really hits the fan it will be pretty good for the trip. At the same time our investments in English and properly messed.
I'll be the next pm! Can't do a worse job than the rest of them! xD
It's not racist because it is abuse of an easy system, but I guess some call it racist though probably because of Nigel Farage (the ring leader who is 100% racist (well closet racist) )
And yeah we probably will rise up again, just need time, luck and someone who knows what to do and is not busy fiddling their expenses form (;
I mean, if this isn't a lesson on how votes count, then I don't know what else is- especially in tight races like this. I don't know if I'm allowed to have an opinion on these sort of things, but I think leaving would be a fairly bad idea.. And if that happens Like What's next? Everyone whom I have talked to said they would vote remain- so I was under the impression that it would be an easy win. And, you know, this is what people are saying and doing with Trump, but now? I'm just thinking that it will be tight then, too.
Yeah, plus only really England and Wales voted leave (I think).
Because Gibraltar and Northern Ireland and Scotland voted stay. So now, the UK might stop doing that UK think and then maybe move back into the EU. So actually, the vote really didn't go in their favour.
And then once Newcastle's votes were read everybody was kind of hoping that the rest of the UK would follow and they did. But Cameron was hoping that Newcastle would vote stay. (I think)
"Polling suggests discontent with the scale of migration to the UK has been the biggest factor pushing Britons to vote out, with the contest turning into a referendum on whether people are happy to accept free movement in return for free trade"
^about what you all were asking about the racism. I don't know if I agree, because I don't understand everything yet.. But I think people are being that way because of this, and the Euroscepticism
Understandably. I mean, I get the whole "when the EU was made, we didn't have a choice" thing. But I don't think that leaving is such a good idea. :/ the EU has issues, but I don't think immigration is bad. Our world is facing a lot of turmoil.. And I'm sure there are people who will prey on this situation
Yeah, I feel like with all the current threats being thrown around and the current state of crisis the world is in on a lot of issues. This could have been time much better.
I'm just saying, if SNP decides to leave, and does, this will cause a huge chasm. Ushsksbsjsnwldjxbcd Just, I guess what will happen, will happen- but the vote to do this could not have had worse timing
Yeah, to be honest if the UK breaks up and Scotland does what it wants, and Ireland joins up and everything. Australia will probably ditch the Commonwealth.
I know that FB is probably going to be a wall of text today from everyone weighing in their two cents and I've tried to stay out of all of that until now, but I am so, SO gutted that the older generation have chosen to limit MY generation's future all because of your xenophobic, Little England mentality. A victory for paranoia, xenophobia, right-wing populism. Nigel "has his country back" and it's in tatters.
... apparently I couldnt sleep for so long haha ;)
From what I know I think leaving was a bad decision for everyone... recently there seems to have been a rise in... people like Trump and the Farage guy and people who are anti immigration and kinda against other people from different countries and that totally sucks... we should be telling these people how much of a moron they are and not give them what they want... not support them... thats the worst thing you can do to someone like that is give them power... ill still hope that my country isnt beyond saving just yet even though apparently Britain has kinda collapsed into anarchy haha ;)
So close though, that's why it's messy right now. Because it was 49.1 to 51.9. If it was clean either way the UK would be united at least, but it's really divided the whole thing.
... that is super close :( if I was a Brit id be asking for another vote right about now and see if I could get out of the mess you got yourselves in haha ;)
I have to say... this kinda introduction is much nicer than the one I got on the other forum... by now id joined a group apparently good with beginners and was being pressured into using my headset haha... that went on for a while but I did as I was told eventually... then they said 'oh no that isnt enough you need to have a conversation with someone' and I was like 'dude what makes you think im capable of actually TALKING in a conversation to a stranger over the internet???' ... so I left the group ;) Im kinda super happy today... I was yesterday also... I found out a shiny trading card my ex left in my house is worth 200 bucks so im kinda having a big happy freak out moment which is unusual because im never happy haha ;) A political discussion is totally a better welcome than pressure and general harassment and trolling... just so you guys know its appreciated ;) I have no idea whether its because youre younger (Im guessing say im wrong if I am!) or because theres more of a boy/girl balance (there are like 2 girls for every 15 guys on the other forum) but its totally nice and refreshing :)
Awwww thats so nice <3 On the other forum there ARE rules and there ARE moderators and I have 2 warning points... one for bad language when I never swore and the other because one of the people harassing me decided to report me for talking off topic so I guess neither count ;)
... fucked your own knee... ive never heard THAT before ;)
Hi Lauren - thank you! And I know it's Latin, I picked it cause it suits my first OC. ;)
Welcome to responsibility of voting - and welcome to consequences. You know Scotland and Ireland wanna stay with us? I kind of expect the Scots to leave England next chance they get. ^^
And maybe Ireland could FINALLY reunite! That would be nice. I hope that works somewhen in the next couple years.
Wales voted leave like England, so Wales is still bound to stay England's pet. :p (I mean, they even lost their language. And most of their culture. So much worse than anything the EU could do to them. xD)
Well, German swearing translated can be amusing. I also like the 'I'll punch you into the ground without sharpening you first' threat. ;)
Welsh is as good as dead. And Irish suffered lots, too. And what about the thing Scots used to speak? At least our dialects are alive and being spoken. It's kind of sad when big parts of a culture die like that. Of course that was the purpose. If you don't allow em to speak their language, they WILL lose their identity. And then you can fit them into your society much easier. It's not nice, but it's efficient.
It is English. You know, I read up on the whole debate, not thoroughly, but some. And so many complained that the EU would not be democratic. Well, in Germany we get to directly vote our representatives in the European Parliament. Every five years. Do they really think it's the EU's fault that the English don't get to vote? I don't think it's the EU that isn't democratic. I think it's the UK, a country where the minority can still vote the government, where the government can have less votes than the opposition - thanks to your messed up voting system. And then there's the House of Lords, too. Well. Bit of a rant, sorry. ^^
(I got a leaflet through the door It said we'd save loads of money by leaving.. Enough to build a new hospital I don't really know much about politics There are pros and cons to both sides and no one knows exactly how things will turn out
I wasn't going to vote But I was spurred on by my family My nan said I needed to vote So I did )
You know the EU spends lots of money on you guys, too, though? Mainly supporting farmers to make them able to compete globally, and such. A lot of German farmers would bankrupt the moment we left the EU.
Over here, you mainly made the news when the EU allowed you an exception to the rules yet again. Actually, one of the first reactions from officials I heard this morning was 'They weren't sure if they want to be in fully for fourty years. It's about time they left'. But most of our polititians regret losing you. We kinda feel like you belong.
Um, but, Inky - you mainly get people from your ex-colonies? Cause they have easy immigration to you. Easier than anyone who wants to get into the EU from some random country...
Yush... I hope they had better reasons than the ones I mostly heard... cause fear isn't a good advisor. I wish you all the best, though. I mean, maybe you can get into closer relationships with your commonwealth countries and the US?
Everybody is entitled to their opinions Nobody is to blame, if that is what the country decided... Well so it is Some agree, some disagree, people had reasons for whatever their vote, that's their choice Now all we can do is wait and see what happens...
Of course you will. I.. am not sure what exept the finance in London you're strong at, but I'm sure you'll be fine. You'll have to pay (even) more for German cars, though! Feel the horror. ;) Apparently you lot are our third biggest trade partner after the US and France. No wonder our polititians are sad you left. ^^
Ahh that moment when you're sat in the sunshine drinking ice cold water feeling happy and then you suddenly remember the world has ended.
@Chloe: In my opinion, the majority of people who are racist voted leave. It's not "nearly all vote leave people are racist," it's "nearly all racists voted leave." Although because of UKIP, Vote Leave people do have a reputation for being facist and racist. Idk, I'm very much of the opinion that you have to take insults with a pinch of salt. My friends use a lot of hyperbole, and so when Cat says "god damn it the fascists won and now we're gonna team up with Donald Trump and bomb Syria together before starting World War Three," I know what she really means is "I can't believe people have been so ridiculous, I really thought they'd have more sense, and now I'm really scared for the future of our country because I don't like the look of the people who'll be our new leaders and I really don't like the kind of people we'll be trying to trade with now - also I'm scared we'll encourage America to become more right wing and vote Trump and that'll screw the world up even further." It's just about translating the hyperbole.
Personally I didn't vote because I'm 17 I was really a bit on the fence through the whole thing and never really bothered to try and work out my opinion because I knew I couldn't vote But now we're out, I very muchly wish we'd stayed I just I don't want a recession, mate. :P
Idk if I've said this yet, but the stats and info they gave us before the referendum were crap. Everyone was making shit up and inflating statistics and you couldn't really believe much of what anyone said. Hopefully this will be a lesson to everyone to stick to RRALISRIC FIGURES, because if we'd done that, Remain might have won on economic grounds. As it is, people couldn't believe much of anything, and in my pinion this lead them to just vote with their emotions and vote leave. I really hope that many politicians and campaigners will leave from this.
*waits for my brother to start making jokes about me being deported :P*
I intend to leave the country. Go to the Netherlands or Canada or something. Somewhere with a liberal majority.
Seriously, everyone I know with a shot at dual nationality is going for it. Because I can't my plan is independence for London and the Thames constituencies.
All I see is chaos, Taia. Everywhere I look I see disaster. David Cameron, the one palatable Tory is gone, the economy is tanking and it seems that the left-leaning, outward-looking majority is gone.
Of course, pointing out that this would happen was scaremongering.
I wonder what will happen to all the EU people who live in England atm - and the English who live in other EU countries. Apparently we have a lot of English here - apparently more than 90 000. And we get 5 million British visitors a year.
@Aquila: I was born there, and I've been back a few times. :) It is an AWESOME country. They have like pancake houses and bikes. What's not to love. :P
@Trip: I visit Sweden this summer. Rn I would like to just stay there. :/ Mmh. See, my area is entirely Labour dominated and... I honestly don't think I ever heard a good word about Cameron until today. It's weird.
Hey, it's good to see you, Aquila! :)
I just keep thinking 'ctrl + z'. There's no undo button?
... a Brit tried to assassinate Trump... sure it was bad but kinda funny at the same time... it would have been bad if he was killed though... you Brits should kill your own politicians and let us deal with ours ;) I think both our countries have horrible pasts when it comes to people killing our leaders... its kinda what were famous for ;)
FYI, from thousands of miles away its clear leaving was a bad idea... I have no idea what you guys were thinking... im kinda hoping the sensible people get a nice I told you so moment though :) they deserve it :)
Hello back Lauren - and the US are in even a worse situation, with Trump actually being a candidate. xD My grandma, who is a charming, polite, calm little person I never heard a single swear from before - that grandma called Trump an idiot the second I said his name. I just think that it's high time the US of A stop being a world power and go into obscurity. We can easily replace you with China. ;P
... I know im not an expert on English history, but does it basically go something like... England was invaded, England was invaded, England was invaded, England was invaded, England was invaded, England was invaded, England was invaded, England became powerful, England invaded everywhere, England fought in wars, England and its allies messed up the middle east, England became insignificant, England became peaceful, England joined with other countries... now England has left other countries??? Thats not the best history ;)

Michael: Uhm.. I don't know.. I was born a Lord?
*hes in heaven now*
Alice: I I'm sorry..
Grace: were you? How'd you end up here?
Tresha: *her arms give out and she falls to the floor, a very high pitched keening noise escaping her, loud enough and high pitched enough that it's going to hurt the ears of every furry in the house*
*curls up, feeling cold, her body numb*
Michael: My family they.. Met an unfortunate end. I ended up a drifter. And then got injected and grew ears and a tail..
...
I'm sorry, but I don't know why I put that there
Bye
(..?)
Alice: tresh.. *goes over to her*
Grace: that's a hard knock life
Tresha: *flinches away from her*
*scrambles up, running through the door, running to her room hopefully as if Flauros will be there waiting to laugh at her for being such a fool*
*shudders and whimpers when he isn't there, bolting to the kitchen, tears streaming through her fur*
*shakes more and more, bursting into everyone's rooms one by one, looking for him*
Michael: Yeah..
*hangs his head*
Kat; tresha! What is it?
Flauros: *is formulating ways to fall again*
Alice: *sobs*
Dustin: *was one of charlottes potebtial dads*
*is a fox and the rebellious type *
*goes to Alice's room* I heard everything damnit *drags her out of the house*
Grace: you still found a good girl though
Tresha: *is shaking very badly*
*just shakes her head at Kat, sprinting for the front door, bursting outside and looking around frantically for any sign of him*
*stumbles and collapses to the floor, curling up, wailing in despair and loss and pain*
Michael: *blushes faintly*
Kat: *gollows her * what happened sweetie?
Archangel: nice to have you back Flauros
Flauros: what's so nice bout it? *growls*
Archangel; you were our best generals
Grace: *grins*
Tresha: *cant speak, she's hysterical, curled up tightly, almost vibrating she's shaking that much, sobbing, her shoulders heaving*
*just stays laid in the grass, waiting for the world to swallow her up*
Michael: Alys isn't.. My girl.
Flauros: *starts thinking of Tresha*
Grace: *looks genuinely shocked* she isn't?
Tresha: *she'll be there a while*
*actually, a very long while*
Michael: N-no. She's her own person.. She hasn't met her mate I don't think
Archangel: you met a girl
Flauros: I loved her
Archangel: get those thoughts to stop or you'll be kicked out again
Grace: oh sweetie.. You should've heard how much she talked about you
Tresha: *is shivering and shaking, sobbing and wailing, falling apart*
Michael: she talked about me?
Kat; *holds her*
Flauros: I won't forget her *starts having inappropriate thoughts *
Grace; the only thing she talked about
Tresha: *barely notices she's being held*
*sobs, clutching herself tightly, her claws are extended so she's accidentally stabbed herself in the ribs with them*
Michael: really??
Kat: pull yourself together!
Archangel: stop that!
Flauros: no! *keeps habit. These thoughs*
Grace: yes
Tresha: *just wails in reply, not actual words so much as noises*
Michael: what.. Was she saying?
Archangel: I have no choice but to cast you out again!
Flauros; *falls through the cloud, his wings disappesring*
*he plummets into the middle of the lake*
Alice:let me go!
Dustin; no *picks her up and walks into the lake*
*keeps her under the water for a few seconds and pulls her up* get clean
Alice: no!
*he puts her under again*
Grace: you've been the best thing in her life since her fiancé left without a word
You make her happy
Tresha: *sobs and whimpers, broken*
Michael: *looks at his feet*
I came here to protect her.. To protect all of them.
*the dunking process continues*
Alice: okay! *cries*
Flauros: *falls into lake*
Alice; what was that?
Dustin: let me *swims and comes back with unconscious Flauros who has gashes in his back where his wings were*
Grace: I bet she's miserable now ... You don't have to be so brave you know
(I wish I could vote...
I wish I didn't have to live with these people too.)
(*hugs Sav* what's up sister? I've missed you..)
Tresha: *sniffles and sobs, feeling like all the goodness has been sucked out of her*
Michael: I.. Someone has to.
(Her saoirse)
Kat: it's okay.. What happened
Dustin: come on Alice.. We have to go back
Alice; *nods and walks out of water, head hung low*
Grace: no they didn't
Tresha: *wails*
Flauros..
*breaks down sobbing even harder*
Michael: it was that or run..
Kat: where is he?
*dustin and Alice drags Flauros back to the house*
Grace: I bet she'd follow you anywhere
Tresha: *is oblivious to the fact that they've dragged him back and continues wailing*
Michael: she has a baby. They needed stability.
Alice; t tresh! Flauros ..
Grace: she needs you
Tresha: *whimpers, looking up at Alice with her ears pinned against her head in fear*
*sees Flauros and freezes*
*jerks and lurches towards Flauros, stumbling and falling to her knees beside him, clutching him tightly, sobbing against his chest*
Michael: Archer will have to do
Flauros: *is in immense pain and is ynconscious*
Dustin; *drags Alice in inside.8 you've caused enough trouble
Grace: archer?!
Tresha: *sniffles and wipes her eyes, noticing that he isn't awake*
F-Flauros..?
*notices the gashes in his back and gasps, gently rolling him onto his front*
Kat! H-help me.. I need to take him to that wolf girls house!
*scoops her arms under Flauros'*
Michael: Yea
Kat; I've got it *hoists Flauros up *
Grace: *looks down* I. Can't believe it
Tresha: *carries him to Inky's house, laying him carefully on the bed and activating the sigils*
Michael: what..? I know that he raped her but he's trying his best to make up for it..
Flauros: *his gashes head and he opens his eyes slightly*
Grave: *whispers* my son...
Tresha: *dives onto the bed, hugging him tightly, kissing all over his face, sobbing in relief now*
Michael: you SON?!
Flauros: *whispers* tresha...
Grace: yes.. Archer is my boy..
Tresha: *kisses him passionately, trying to say in the kiss just how much she needs him, how much she loves him and never wants to lose him again*
Michael: Oh.. He got out of here.
Flauros; *kisses fiercely, holding her close*
Grace: no wonder I haven't seen him.. I'm a grandmother..
Tresha: *whimpers and curls up, hugging him so so tightly*
Michael: congrats..
Flauros: *voice is hoarse * I'm back..
Grace: that must be tough on you..
Tresha: *kisses him again, whimpering*
*sniffles, holding him tightly*
N-never do that again..please..
Michael: me? Why?
Flauros: *cries* I'm sorry *kisses her all over her face*
GraceD the woman you love having a child with someone else
Tresha: *kissing him passionately, kissing the tears away*
Michael: I'm not the one having to play daddy day care
(Nos da)
Flauros: I didn't want to leave *the tears keep coming*
*holds her close*
Grace: but you love her?
Dustin: *picks up her drugs* you need to get rid of these
Alice: b but..
Dustin: you must! *snaps* you see the damage you caused already
(Nos da)
Alice: I know *hangs head* I don't want to depend on them.. B but.. *starts sobbing*
Dustin: ^sighs^ you'll end up dead
Alice: l like my parents w who used them *huccups and sobs uncontrollably*
Dustin: that's unfortunate.. But look at me.. I'll keep you clean
Congrats on voting for the first time Inky! Hopefully the side you picked, stay or go, wins :)
Voting in the primary was so great for me so I get the feeling
The value of the pound has already hit its lowest worth because of the current ongoing polls
OMJ WTF
I DID NOT EXPECT THIS TO HAPPEN
*FREAKS OUT*
DUDE. I MISS MY FREE TRAVEL TO EUROPE ALREADY.
*is in total shock*
Well
This proves my school is not the rest of the UK
We had our own referendum
The secondary school were 60% in favour of Remain
The sixth form were 80% in favour of Remain
*shock*
Dude. The facists I know are gonna be so smug today. XD
(No they're not fascists because they're vote Leave they're fascists because they are. Just clarifying. :P)
*sends star a telepathic ninja owl*
(Thanks Zaf
Welp, what's done is done and there's a whole lotta hate on Facebook
So basically I decided to write a peaceful comment to even out the hate)
Haha Cat says she's wearing black today as a respect for the death of sense in the UK.
the cover is so beautiful!
(People are so busy on hating people who left they forget we need to unite
Even more so now that the next few years will be rough)
(Right
People are going too far
Someone on Facebook posted a meme of old people and the caption is 'votes for brexit.. Does before becoming victims of that decision'
*tries to calm*
Voted leave? That's fine
Voted stay? That's fine
Just don't take it out on others when you lose
Cause to me spreading hates on Facebook like calling people racists for leaving sounds like an infant crying over the fact they can't get their own way)
Haha yes you Brits are screwed no offense ;) not as much as us with Trump but still not great ;) the world is gonna be a mess... sorry ill leave you guys alone haha I just saw the cover and was like ooohhhh pretty... im kinda magnetically drawn to pretty things! You should see me trying to play computer games ;) im like yes I could kill that giant mutated robotic armored alien but noooo theres some pretty waterfalls to look at ;) the waterfalls always win in my head ;)
(Please stay ^.^
We have a little community here that all are welcome to
The thing is there are pros and cons to leaving the EU but no one knows at all what will happen in the long run and everyone is being so hateful to people who shared their opinion)
Aw thanks <3 ill warn you that I havent read the books in years and havent read the last one at all... I never finish anything because im scared of it ending haha... its kinda late here but im basically nocturnal anyway ;)
(I'm the same! I won't read the end of the series xD
My name is Chloe and you're always welcome here, whether you are an avid fan or haven't read the books in ages
It's morning here in Wales)
People are always hateful and divisive
*still in shock*
You know what. If everyone had given believe able facts and figures people might've paid more attention to the economic impact. As it was they were just to just mostly vote on emotion.
^left
(I think it'll be bad in short term but we don't know for definite what'll happen
David Cameron is saying that things won't change initially )
Hi Chloe :) im Lauren... although you probably guessed that already ;)
Hey Star Inkbright :) oh god everyone has such pretty names...
(Cameron is resigning)
(Nice to meet you ^.^)
@Lauren: :) Thanks.
Well, we're not out of the EU yet. We need to negotiate and stuff.
*listening to everyone on the bus talk about the referendum*
... I dont get politics... to me its just bad people campaigning against other bad people to lead a bad government who does bad things... thats my opinion haha... if youre not racist and have some interest in helping the environment im gonna vote for you :)
(There are people saying that voting should be compulsory on Facebook.. What if those people are uninformed about the decision they make?
I don't get politics too )
... I dont agree with that... I think people should be allowed to do what they want :)
(Exactly
And I don't think people should label those who decided to leave 'racists ')
Me & Cat: *talking about how it feels like the world's ended*
Cat: *gets notification on phone* Oh look Cameron's said something! *eagerly starts loading BBC news app*
Me: I bet it won't be anything good.
Cat: Oh no it will it will.
*app loads*
BBC news: Cameron to quit after EU referendum.
Cat: *distress* Oh no! Oh no I loved Cameron! My life is over! I'm gonna die!
Me: *slightly amused*
@Chloe: Oh obvs not. But I'm so unsurprised I'm not really disappointed.
@Chloe: Oh obvs not. But I'm so unsurprised I'm not really disappointed.
Well... im not sure... I cant really say haha... all I know is what has been broadcast over here ;) to me Trump is racist and sexist and one of the biggest jerks ever and you guys probably think the same about some of your politicians I guess :)
... but if youre talking about like an ordinary person being called racist thats totally not ok :(
Im all yay cooperation lets everyone work together and be happy but just because youre not like that doesnt mean youre racist... being racist makes you racist ;)
Beth: At least my exam results don't matter now because I'm gonna be unemployed either way.
Beth: At least my exam results don't matter now because I'm gonna be unemployed either way.
(I just...
I better go
Taking nan to tesco)
@Lauren: Agreed!
David cameron rage quit his job, even though other MPs told him he has to stay on because he has a duty to do
It's gonna apparently take something like another 2 years to actually leave the eu, now it's probably longer due to Cameron legging it when the shit hit the fan
So now this country is a shambles right now /:
Good luck Britain, we're gonna bloody need it
P.s the Scottish might try to leave again xD (could happen not saying it is going to happen )
*£350 million xD
(While that may be true we all need to unite and prepare
No one knows what'll happen in the future
Also, hello Rhos)
Yeah the global market is in shambles
Y'all have been screwed, massively.
RIP, it was nice knowing you all
True dat Noelle, very true /:
Make money while you can though ey? Buy out the pound while it's cheap, sell when it goes back up (if it does...)
And as for the future, I'm gonna say... hunger games! But the districts are countries of Britain! xD
Also hi peeps
I'm just going to go to sleep tonight and really hope that I wake up and realise the whole of 2016 was a joke.
(We will pull through
We've survived so far)
Yeah the SNP are already talking about it.
I mean, overwhelmingly, most of the remain vote was in Scotland... So I guess it would make sense that they would try.
Donald Trump has already praised the situation...
Unfortunately, I know that the pound will be a lot cheaper now...
:0
Maybe this is the time when I travel to te UK
(I don't get how people voting to leave are racist though)
Yeah I don't get it either.
?
I don't..?
(It's people on my Facebook
'What a day for racists and xenophobes')
I find it so weird though, Cameron thought it would be an easy win. And so did kind of everybody and a lot of people just figured it would be over with and put to sleep and the EU would hold hands like nothing happened at the end of the day.
And then he puts it to the vote and the people vote leave.
Like, I don't understand where Cameron went so wrong with his predictions.
(Actually, here it was always going to be a very very close call
I've seen signs both saying leave and then saying stay
I'm going to say it
I don't care what anyone thinks
I voted out )
I can see what they mean by saying its a day for racists, they're firing shots at the immigration part of it all, because that was one of the topics that was hotly contested was the immigration, so people who voted leave are being called racists, I don't know what was said about it all though
(The thing is.. I'm not racist.. But there's immigrants here only for our benefit system..)
And fair enough everyone is entitled to a vote (sorta ) and their opinion on things
I didn't vote, because I don't do that shit like :S
Exactly and that's why, some people voted out, others was for the imaginary money that we should have but we don't
And others for other reasons that I don't know like
So all in all, some are racists other are not, either way it's happened time to deal with the aftermath of it all
Yeah, I get the argument for stopping the other EU people taking the benefits and grants and everything...I'm not entirely sure that's racist though. Because sometimes it has been an abuse of the system.
Yeah, I'm sorry, but my family is likely going to buy some pounds..
And now David Caneron is gone..?
This is insane- I mean, literally. Who will be the next PM??
You all haven't even left yet, and already things are scary
Honestly, voter turnout was, what, 72%, anyway?
(I just.. Everyone has the right to vote and to express their opinion
But there's no need to hate
Britain will rise
No one has no idea what's gonna happen in the future)
(Boris Johnson will probably be the new prime minister)
Noelle, same. And I'm not meaning to offend but we're heading to Britain this Christmas and if we buy the pounds once it really hits the fan it will be pretty good for the trip. At the same time our investments in English and properly messed.
Boris Johnson as in..."Bonking Boris"???
I'll be the next pm! Can't do a worse job than the rest of them! xD
It's not racist because it is abuse of an easy system, but I guess some call it racist though probably because of Nigel Farage (the ring leader who is 100% racist (well closet racist) )
And yeah we probably will rise up again, just need time, luck and someone who knows what to do and is not busy fiddling their expenses form (;
(He his a bit mad...)
I mean, if this isn't a lesson on how votes count, then I don't know what else is- especially in tight races like this.
I don't know if I'm allowed to have an opinion on these sort of things, but I think leaving would be a fairly bad idea..
And if that happens
Like
What's next?
Everyone whom I have talked to said they would vote remain- so I was under the impression that it would be an easy win. And, you know, this is what people are saying and doing with Trump, but now? I'm just thinking that it will be tight then, too.
(Hehe a friend of mine said thanks to those who voted out Wales will go extinct
I told him to stop being hateful towards those who voted out.. It's okay to have different opinions but don't be a jerk about f
He said I'd never be a campaigner)
Yeah, plus only really England and Wales voted leave (I think).
Because Gibraltar and Northern Ireland and Scotland voted stay. So now, the UK might stop doing that UK think and then maybe move back into the EU. So actually, the vote really didn't go in their favour.
And then once Newcastle's votes were read everybody was kind of hoping that the rest of the UK would follow and they did. But Cameron was hoping that Newcastle would vote stay. (I think)
*UK thing
(Why does Wales always goes together with England?)
What do you mean?
"Polling suggests discontent with the scale of migration to the UK has been the biggest factor pushing Britons to vote out, with the contest turning into a referendum on whether people are happy to accept free movement in return for free trade"
^about what you all were asking about the racism. I don't know if I agree, because I don't understand everything yet.. But I think people are being that way because of this, and the Euroscepticism
(Well it's like.. It's always England and Wales
Wales isn't an independent country
Like when I was researching crime rates in Wales for a school project once I only found results for 'Wales and England '
Wales doesn't have its own currency.. It's the same as England
Scotland and Ireland have different currencies but Wales is often lumped with England)
I feel like the EU is probably really mad right now.
Ushsksbsjsnwldjxbcd
Just, I guess what will happen, will happen- but the vote to do this could not have had worse timing
(This is what someone said on FB)
(Bye Noelle..)
... apparently I couldnt sleep for so long haha ;)
(It'll all be okay)
Geez you all voted to leave.....Well plus side you guys managed change downside i dunno if its good or bad
So close though, that's why it's messy right now. Because it was 49.1 to 51.9. If it was clean either way the UK would be united at least, but it's really divided the whole thing.
( Donald trumps speech ;-;)
(He's in Scotland and he went on to talk about the golf course so the news people cut him off)
... that is super close :( if I was a Brit id be asking for another vote right about now and see if I could get out of the mess you got yourselves in haha ;)
(Oops I proofed )
Hi all!
I... kind of like the news? I'm so curious what will happen next.
I have to say... this kinda introduction is much nicer than the one I got on the other forum... by now id joined a group apparently good with beginners and was being pressured into using my headset haha... that went on for a while but I did as I was told eventually... then they said 'oh no that isnt enough you need to have a conversation with someone' and I was like 'dude what makes you think im capable of actually TALKING in a conversation to a stranger over the internet???'
... so I left the group ;)
Im kinda super happy today... I was yesterday also... I found out a shiny trading card my ex left in my house is worth 200 bucks so im kinda having a big happy freak out moment which is unusual because im never happy haha ;)
A political discussion is totally a better welcome than pressure and general harassment and trolling... just so you guys know its appreciated ;) I have no idea whether its because youre younger (Im guessing say im wrong if I am!) or because theres more of a boy/girl balance (there are like 2 girls for every 15 guys on the other forum) but its totally nice and refreshing :)
(Aq! It's been ages!
I voted out *shrugs*)
Hi Aquila Felis :) your name is pretty and Latin :)
(Awww Lauren.. You're and everyone is welcome here
There aren't any set rules and we don't push anyone to do anything
There are arguments but who doesn't argue?)
Well, Inky, in my own personal and half-uninformed opinion - as we say over here and excuse my language - you fucked your own knee. ;P
But thanks for getting us LOTS of interesting news for the next month! :D
(That's okay xD
It was my first vote.. Why did my birthday have to be a few weeks ago (
;-;)
(People don't really mind their language here xD and no moderators)
(Jack made a very good point about Wales getting independence xD )
Wales voted leave like England, so Wales is still bound to stay England's pet. :p (I mean, they even lost their language. And most of their culture. So much worse than anything the EU could do to them. xD)
Well, German swearing translated can be amusing. I also like the 'I'll punch you into the ground without sharpening you first' threat. ;)
Well... I have to go to work... at 5:30 in the morning urgh... cya guys later I hope :)
(See you Laura ^.^
I know what you mean Aq.. Welsh is a dying language
I wish I went to Welsh school
Welsh is as good as dead. And Irish suffered lots, too. And what about the thing Scots used to speak? At least our dialects are alive and being spoken. It's kind of sad when big parts of a culture die like that.
Of course that was the purpose. If you don't allow em to speak their language, they WILL lose their identity. And then you can fit them into your society much easier. It's not nice, but it's efficient.
(It is a shame )
It is English. You know, I read up on the whole debate, not thoroughly, but some. And so many complained that the EU would not be democratic.
Well, in Germany we get to directly vote our representatives in the European Parliament. Every five years. Do they really think it's the EU's fault that the English don't get to vote?
I don't think it's the EU that isn't democratic. I think it's the UK, a country where the minority can still vote the government, where the government can have less votes than the opposition - thanks to your messed up voting system. And then there's the House of Lords, too.
Well. Bit of a rant, sorry. ^^
(That's okay)
If you don't mind me asking, what were your reasons to vote leave? I don't understand it. So, I'm curious.
(I got a leaflet through the door
It said we'd save loads of money by leaving.. Enough to build a new hospital
I don't really know much about politics
There are pros and cons to both sides and no one knows exactly how things will turn out
I wasn't going to vote
But I was spurred on by my family
My nan said I needed to vote
So I did )
(Also, the immigrants who come here for the benefits system.. I know not all do but the ones that do.. )
(Well what's done is now done
People must've had their reasons to vote leave..)
Yush... I hope they had better reasons than the ones I mostly heard... cause fear isn't a good advisor. I wish you all the best, though. I mean, maybe you can get into closer relationships with your commonwealth countries and the US?
Everybody is entitled to their opinions
Nobody is to blame, if that is what the country decided... Well so it is
Some agree, some disagree, people had reasons for whatever their vote, that's their choice
Now all we can do is wait and see what happens...
Waiting and seeing what happens is what I'm looking forward to.
Only cause I'm not directly involved, though. ^^
(*hugs Jsck * as I might've said before we don't know for definite what would've happened by leaving or staying )
Well, staying wouldn't have changed a thing. So if your situation was unbearable, it was the best decision to decide to leave.
(Britain is strong
We will survive)
Of course you will. I.. am not sure what exept the finance in London you're strong at, but I'm sure you'll be fine.
You'll have to pay (even) more for German cars, though! Feel the horror. ;)
Apparently you lot are our third biggest trade partner after the US and France. No wonder our polititians are sad you left. ^^
(Ahhhh
Anyways I must disappear for a while
B back later!)
Byebye!
Personally I didn't vote because I'm 17
I was really a bit on the fence through the whole thing and never really bothered to try and work out my opinion because I knew I couldn't vote
But now we're out, I very muchly wish we'd stayed
I just
I don't want a recession, mate.
I'm not angry.
I'm just disappointed.
I'm fucking SCARED. :P
It all feels like a very old rope bridge over a very deep cavern. :S
I intend to leave the country. Go to the Netherlands or Canada or something. Somewhere with a liberal majority.
Seriously, everyone I know with a shot at dual nationality is going for it. Because I can't my plan is independence for London and the Thames constituencies.
(Back
Farage wants to relax uk gun laws)
And I'm sitting on the stable ground watching the old rope bridge, morbidly entertained.
Oh, I'm a bad person at times...
All I see is chaos, Taia. Everywhere I look I see disaster. David Cameron, the one palatable Tory is gone, the economy is tanking and it seems that the left-leaning, outward-looking majority is gone.
Of course, pointing out that this would happen was scaremongering.
Duh.
Like I said Inky.
I'm just disappointed.
I wonder what will happen to all the EU people who live in England atm - and the English who live in other EU countries.
Apparently we have a lot of English here - apparently more than 90 000. And we get 5 million British visitors a year.
... this is gonna be interesting.
(No point crying over spilt milk
It'll be okay)
If Farage becomes prime minister I may need to literally move to the Netherlands.
(I'll move to Japan with Jack and we can go to the cat and bunny islands)
Star, I think there'd be worse things. I've been there once, it's a quite nice country. :)
^somehow
^god knows how one does that now
Star, there's a two year period to slowly let you go. Just leave once you can. ;)
@Aquila: I was born there, and I've been back a few times. :) It is an AWESOME country. They have like pancake houses and bikes. What's not to love. :P
@Trip: I visit Sweden this summer. Rn I would like to just stay there. :/
Mmh. See, my area is entirely Labour dominated and... I honestly don't think I ever heard a good word about Cameron until today. It's weird.
Hey, it's good to see you, Aquila! :)
I just keep thinking 'ctrl + z'. There's no undo button?
Ohhhh my area is mostly Conservatives, I think. We have quite a few Labour supporters though.
Catherine was strongly Remain and was a big fan of David Cameron so she's having an absolutely terrible day.
I dedicate to peace in Europe - between EU and none-EU countries alike.
Yep Taia, been busy in the lab - now the lab work is nearly done and it's time to write my thesis. ^^
Star, and also it's flat so cycling is a valid option! Only disadvantage is that parts of it are below sea level. >.>
... a Brit tried to assassinate Trump... sure it was bad but kinda funny at the same time... it would have been bad if he was killed though... you Brits should kill your own politicians and let us deal with ours ;) I think both our countries have horrible pasts when it comes to people killing our leaders... its kinda what were famous for ;)
FYI, from thousands of miles away its clear leaving was a bad idea... I have no idea what you guys were thinking... im kinda hoping the sensible people get a nice I told you so moment though :) they deserve it :)
(Hear hear)
@Awuila: Here here!
I have a love hate relationship with hills. They're so pretty. But they're bloody steep. :P
Hello back Lauren - and the US are in even a worse situation, with Trump actually being a candidate. xD
My grandma, who is a charming, polite, calm little person I never heard a single swear from before - that grandma called Trump an idiot the second I said his name.
Haha yes but im remaining hopeful he will go nowhere... otherwise the world will be in SERIOUS trouble... like apocalyptic trouble ;)
Sure replace us! I dont mind... we have far too many guns and far too many idiots ;)
