@Star: I saw that in the comments, and I checked, but it tried to save as "PRISONER" for me, so I think that could have been changed now, or that maybe it's just my PC. :P Also, I have no idea who Nadir IS, so... :P ^^
*hugs Star back* You are the wisest bubble of them all. :) (Although I'm not sure how much of a compliment that is, at face value. Are bubbles especially wise, generally speaking? :P)
@Fabiulous: *nods* I figured so. :) And- *hugs* :)
@Jedi & Dragona: *nods* That's probably so. :) But I'm behind, and still haven't managed to get hold of the books after #6 yet. So I don't follow anyway. :P ^^
Also- Hello, Jedi! Have we met already? *tilts head*
Is it Lewis Holmes' character? It seems like this is the specific thing Derek would have wanted for the book, an error of the escape of prisoner 270914.
On the Xbox One advert there's something I don't understand. Who was the idiot who decided that adding a function to play a game and watch television SIMULATENOUSLY was a good idea? 0o Who would do that? You'd neither watch television or play your video game well. Especially since the television was on a tiny screen. You'd just end up getting confused. Whoever made that function should be fired. It's STUPID.
The moment the next Mass Effect game comes out, I'm buying myself a PS4.
@Dragona: Woah . . . :O What? (It wouldn't work for people with one-track brains like me, I mean, but with people like Ari and Silente . . . My friend once watched TV whilst reading a book whilst listening to music whilst doing homework whilst talking to her mum whilst testing her friend :O)
@Dragona: That seems a bit silly. o0 I mean, I could understand playing, like, Pokémon or something simple whilst watching TV, okay, but I'm under the impression that Xbox games tend to be more complex than that, generally speaking. Maybe some people like to be able to do both, but from my POV I'm not sure why you would, really. ^^
(Yes. But you simply CAN'T play a game well whilst doing something else. Unless it's like listening to music or something. The game it showed on the advert was a shooting game. If it was something like Mario, fair enough... but if you try and do more than one thing during a shooting game you'll die. Or at least, on the better ones you will.
@Starlar: Oh. Sorry. :P I hope you can do art soon? :)
To be honest, I think I'm too tired to do any serious art, anyway. If I suddenly disappear, my brain probably just temporarily shut down or something. :P
(DAMMIT HOW DO I KEEP DISCOVERING PEOPLE'S SECRET IDENTITIES? EVERYBODY GETS INTO CHARACTER SO WELL AND I KEEP ACCIDENTALLY CHEATING AND FINDING OUT WHO THEY ARE ANYWAY AND IT'S NOT FAIR. D:)
Taia - I tend to do it too. Idk I don't really agree with secret identities. I'm not a very trusting person at the best of times and tbh it just ruins my trust in people :P
I'M SO HAPPY! IT TOOK ME HOURS AND LOOKS NOTHING LIKE ME BUT ITS DONE AND I NEVER HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN AND I SWEAR TO GOD IF I HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN AND SCREW YOU MISS WHO SAID YOU CANT USE A HB PENCIL TO SHADE BECAUSE BAM I USED HB PENCIL FOR ALL OF THAT AND OMG I'M SO HAPPY!
@Dragona: I would disagree - when people are in character, I think they often do it so that others have no association of the author with the character and so the character is just judged as themselves, rather than the author. Also, I think that maybe some people don't really feel comfortable being there as themselves, and it's easier to be someone that no one knows because none of the obligations and past events are tagged along. Also, if you're being totally in character, then you as an author aren't actually there, so why do you need to state your presence? It's not as if anything that is happening is to do with you. Although the character is being typed by your hands, their actions and words are not your own.
*HUGS STAR WHICH YOU KNOW I DON'T MIND AT THIS PRESENT MOMENT IN TIME BECAUSE I'M ACTUALLY ECSTATIC* THANK YOU! OMG YES! IT'S OVER! I DID IT IN TIME AS WELL! WITH TIME TO SPARE!
Star - yes, but that brings up a point. Say if it isn't a character and it's just a secret identity. Then you don't know who they are and who they aren't - any "new" person could be them. And that leads me not to trust the new people as well as the people who I suspect. It's fine if it's just a character, but IF they're talking to people like in brackets so not as their character then they should state their presence. Idk, it kind of annoys me. I just don't understand why anyone would do it :P
@Dragona: I don't mean to. It happens by accident. :P I'm okay with secret identities if they're not being used abusively, which they tend to not be. I figure it's writing a character. It develops and/or measures your character-writing skills I'd have thought? If you can write a character, and people don't recognise you, surely that means you're able to come up with characters and relate to them, which is basically empathy. And, stuff. Also, since we KNOW it's somebody being a character, I don't think it's exactly distrustworthy, since it's not really lying, it's more exploring other people and viewpoints, which is probably a good thing, really? :) ANd, yeah. :)
@Star: Yup. I'm 100% sure I know who it is. Same way it happened when I got Actually Do Mind Who I Am. But I don't mean to do it! :P
@Dragona: Wellll . . . I know a lot of people say they're not new and we know them but they'd like to remain anonymous. And - woah, woah, woah. Me, Ari and Fabi are all in character in brackets. I actually feel a bit funny saying that because we don't do the bracket-talking. Our characters do. And they're just - they take over us, and they're here. It's like when I was being Hunter for a lesson. And I was just sitting there drawing whilst Hunter was using my vocal chords and facial expressions (limitedly - I don't use facial expressions like Hunter does) and a few gestures to talk. I, essentially, wasn't there. It's a bit like being possessed.
Star - and that's the thing. I don't see why anyone would WANT to be anonymous. No one on here has done anything TRULY terrible and I just don't see a reason for it. If you're feeling bad or something and want to be anonymous, that doesn't make sense. Because it gets rid of all the friendliness you would have got if you came on as yourself. If people don't know you they'll treat you like they don't know you and that wouldn't help many people, if any. Idk, it's just one of the things that I dislike. I mean, as long as I know who it is for a start I don't mind it - it's when people try and hide it - that's when I start to get annoyed at it :P
Weird is good. Weird is awesome! I find the fact some people find being called weird insulting insulting! My sub French teacher called me weird and I thanked him! He also called me a Satanist at one point... *whistles innocently*
@Dragona: Well, you don't get sad as easily as some people - *has cried four times in the past two days whereas you haven't cried at all in the past decade* - and you don't get scared. Some people are scared, and upset, and afraid, and they want to hide themselves. And, maybe . . . maybe words aren't working as themselves, or they don't know how to make the situation work within the confines of themselves. And it's not really a helping-people thing. It's more a self-defence thing.
Star - I guess I'm not the best person to talk about it, that's true. But meh. It DOES kind of annoy me and yeah I've tried to explain it the best I can but idk I'm not sure about it myself :P Once I find out who it is I'm fine - and I ALWAYS find out who it is. But then I'm like, "wait... why?" and yeah that starts me getting annoyed again but less annoyed than before by quite a lot.
Ok, sOrry but my brain isn't intaking large amounts of words atm, because tiredness and the little focus it DOES have now seems to be going into scribbling a small kid fawning creepily over pencil sharpeners (For which I entirely blame Dragona. xD) and so I'm not ignoring things, I'm just too tired to do anything with them. :P
You quite me a lot Star. You should hear the random stuff I spew in English. Its almost always poetic or something else. Today in maths I said something really stupid. I said I would find out the nth term of the square numbers, remembered is forgotten how to do the nth term. Remembered how to do the nth term, said 'I think this means its n squared but what do you add and stuff' before realising its just n squared. And somehow I'm in top set maths.
@Dragona: Well . . . I get annoyed by people saying the word 'right'. :P Stupid things annoy people, I guess. But it's not other people's fault you get annoyed, is it?
Your officially nicknames Messy now Messy. Or mess. Or Bob. Or Bib Bob. BIB BOB! That sounds so weird! *continues saying Bib Bob over and over and over*
@Silente: I'm in top set maths too and me and numbers do not get along at all . . . :P Also, I can't multiple decimals. On my mock the other week, I did FINE apart from anything requiring basic multiplication. Lol. :P (And I screwed up a few other things, but meh.)
@Dragona: Well, that's fine, then. :) *begins attempting to analyse why it should annoy you* *draws a blank, because I'm much better at analysing myself than analysing other people, as for other people I simply do not have enough material* *eh*
@Star: *laughs* He never goes anywhere without seven pencil sharpeners on his person, and believes that they are a renewable energy resource, apparently. :P
@Star and Silente: I was in top set maths, too - I came out with a final A* grade. And I still can't do multiplication OR division, so I wouldn't worry about it. :P ^^
Wow . . . we're all smart maths-y people, aren't we? O_O I usually get As in maths . . . But I never revise . . . But before my mock I decided to and I didn't really have anything TO revise so I didn't bother . . .
@Kes: I like maths, too! :) But I wasn't taught long or short multiplication and division methods in primary school and so it makes not much sense to me. I multiply by other means, and I divide via calculator, though, so... :P ^^ But, yeah. I do like maths. But there are things that are difficult, and I struggle unless I understand how and why it works, rather than just what to do. Sometimes you don't get taught those things and that tends to be when I find it hard. ^^
Taia, my parents made me memorise my multiplication facts, so multiplication and division are really easy for me but I still don't know subtraction facts, so...
@Taia: Aw, you're an intelligent person like C . . . :P In physics, we often (metaphorically) get told that if we press this button the TV will turn on, and C just kind of grinds to a halt because she can't really accept it unless she understands it fully and knows WHY the TV turns on, and so she just sits there going I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS whereas I'm just like "Button. TV. Cool," and just accept it and write it down. :P This is one of my primary arguments when we have the you're-cleverer-than-me argument. (Her primary argument is that I do better in tests. Which is a rubbish argument, because tests are shit anyway and don't measure your ability).
I can't multiple decimals. And my brain often screws up. And sometimes I struggle to mentally add so I give up and just grab a calculator. :P (Oh dear. XD) Division - I know short division, and I was taught long division the other week.
And Star, multiplying decimals is easy. If you have, for example,
21.5 times 18.3 you just multiply it like its 215 times 183 and then count how many decimal places there are in the original problem (2) and make there be that many in the answer.
@Dragona: *laughs* No worries, I liked it. :P And, considering your brain wasn't working, I think Deceptiswans was very clever. Witty. :P / :) (Also, sorry for poofing that night (I'm not sure when it was..? o0), my internet went off. ^^)
@Kes: That's fine. :) And - yeah. Tests are rubbish. :P
And - ohhhhkay. *tries to remember that - unfortunately, once I learn something wrong the first time, I just remember not being able to do it and don't seem to pick up the knowledge of how to do it :P*
@Kes: I'm sure I was taught once. I probably didn't remember it. :P (I remember most things, give me a break.) (I probably wasn't listening.)
And - like I said, I can't remember how I was taught. I just don't know, and I've never really attempted to find out so I've just gone through the past few years not being able to multiple them. XD
Ooh, looks like I just got upgraded from Taiaceratops to Taiacaurus Rex! EXPERIENCE POINTS GAINED. *cheers* :P *hugs Silente* See you!
@Kes: Yeah, I do that. When we had to copy questions out in class, I'd always copy it out wrong, and so I'd get the answer right for what I was answering, but it's still wrong. :P
@Taia: I do that sometimes . . . :P I often muddle my minus and plus signs up, and then I get it wrong, and then Sir tells me to how deal with negatives and I'm just like, yeah, I know, my brain. :P
@Lantern: *hugs* Thanks. :) But not really. It hinders me. :P
@Star: *bows* Thank you. :3 But, idk. I think sometimes that maybe there is more intelligence in being able to accept things without having to question how and why, than in having to question every detail. I have/want words and metaphors in order explain that, but my primitive little brain is kind of shutting them off. But think, like, Wilf, in Chaos Walking. Because he's not understanding on a technical level, like knowing how nuclear physics works and why things go the way they are, but he doesn't need to? I think that Wilf is almost certainly the most intelligent and trustworthy character in the series. I'd put my life in his hands. I don't know of any physicists who I could say the same of? ^^
@Taia: Noooooo . . . because I can't rely on faith. You know, in Once Upon A Time, then Henry was asking August what what they were doing had to do with getting Emma to believe. And August told him that some people, like himself and Henry, could just go on faith, but that other people, like Emma, needed proof. And I think I'm an Emma-person, much as I'm reluctant to be. :P And I'm much more like a physicist than Wilf, and I don't just accept things, but I think I do in physics because I don't realise that I am, kinda, and I don't have the intelligence to stop and think "How, why?" I just kind of give it a nod as it slides in. Also - I'm a really trusting person. My sister will start lying to me and I will start responding as if I believe her before stopping to question it. When he lies aren't obvious, she always catches me out, because I'm never aware to that thing and I don't question what people are saying. I believe Galbatorix when he argued that he was the good guy. -_- So I think I accept these things because I don't question what people tell me.
@Star: My mistakes often don't make any sense at all. My friend used to (it's so weird talking about school in past tense :O) always look at my work like 'are you done yet, did you get this answer?' and end up just staring at my book like "...What are you DOING?" And I'd be like, "uh. answering the question?" To which the response would be, "WHAT question?" At which point I'd look confusedly between my book and the board, trying to work out what question I'M doing, and then trying to work out which numbers/signs I got mixed up in which question, and finding NOTHING resembling my question at all, and just whispering "I don't know." xD
Ah - one day, in year nine, me and C were doing simultaneous equations. We'd just learnt how to do them, yeah? And we used to, in maths, do the work separately and compare answers at the end of each question. And we did about ten simultaneous equations and I think I got most, if not all, of them wrong. XD It was RIDICULOUS. I knew exactly what to do, and all, but for some reason I'd go wrong, I don't even know how, and it just happened EVERY QUESTION. And she'd tell me her answer, and I'd go "Huh?" and she'd go "What have you done now . . . ?"
Do you think you'll miss school? Because I'm missing school for you already, and I'm not even you, but. :P
I think the deceptiswan was like the best thing my brain has ever come up with humour wise and I was very tired. Maybe if I'm collapsing from exhaustion I'd be a stand-up comedian.
There was once a question on a maths exam asking about some sort of square root or something and it asked you to calculate it to 2 decimal places. At the end I had like half an hour left and got its actual value because I was bored and got it to like... 37 decimal places. It filled most of the page with my workings out.
@Star: But that's not necessarily a bad thing, at all. I may have to pick up this argument another time possibly because tiredness, though. Sorry. YOU MAY WIN THIS ROUND, INKBRIGHT. BUT I WILL RETURN. *roars* :P
@Dragona: LOL. :P I was expecting to be drawing one at some point, too. :P ^^ And, aw, again? :( I hope you can find an effective way to settle him soon. :/ ^^
Star: I actually thought of an entire story at the end of a food and nutrition exam. Just by looking at the huge lights and wondering what would happen if they exploded. In my story the main character accidentally made a light explode at the end of an exam and it killed his teacher.
@Dragona: XD Not sure that'd be sustainable career, really. What if you just kept falling asleep before you got to the punchline? :P
@Star: *nodS* I got that, too. xD And- *laughs* Probably. But since I'm going back next year, it's kind of immaterial anyway. :P I think I'll enjoy having time to catch up on things like reading and writing and art and things. Television, maybe. Plus time to think. And learn new words. And improve at things. And, yeah. A long summer and lots of free time will be nice, even if finishing school early has its drawbacks? ^^
@Dragona: *laughs* Wow. That's a good idea. :) I just tend to sit there trying not to make noise and watching the clock and trying to smile at the invigilators because, idk, smiling is nice? :P
Or, if I suddenly remember one of the stupid things I drew when doing revision (recently Star Trek related, which is worse :P) I have to sit there resisting the urge to illustrate them all. :P
@Dragona: Plan around it so that sleeping WAS the punchline. XD
My revision consisted of video games but I tried to do it in themes like playing Assassin's Creed before the Crusade exam. But then it just got a little strange.
"Medieval people used swords. Phantoms (enemies on Mass Effect) have swords. I'm going to kill Phantoms"
"Chemistry is a science. Mass Effect is a science fiction game. I'll play Mass Effect"
"Geology studies rocks and rock formations. There was a pretty interesting rock formation on Rannoch (a planet in Mass Effect) - I'll go to Rannoch"
@Dragona: Yes, but if they get a smile, they might feel less grumpy. :P Some of them are not too bad. Or the ones who we've had, at least. The ones we had for our maths 3 in January was not very nice, admittedly. It was freezing and there's no heating in that gym, and he wouldn't let us wear jackets or anything. The windows were ICY. For, like, two or three hours. I didn't even check over my answers because as soon as I finished I just sat there shivering and physically unable to DO anything else. O.O But some of them are okay. They've asked me, nicely, how the paper was, before now. :) ^^
I'd have loved a freezing exam. Ours were BOILING and I hated it. At least when its cold water is refreshing rather than some lukewarm liquid which makes you more thirsty than before.
Yeah, I do that with the drawing, sometimes. :P "Okay. Research into child attachment can be applied to hospitals. Hospitals have doctors in them. McCoy is a doctor. I'll draw Dr McCoy."
"Piaget's formal operational stage of cognitive development involves hypothetical and problem solving skills. Problem solving skills are logic. Spock values logic. I'll draw Spock."
"...men may stand taller and 'puff out' their chest as a sign that they are strong and good protectors- CAPTAIN KIRK CAPTAIN KIRK CAPTAIN KIRK CAPTAIN KIRK..." :P
I basically just have loads of A3 sheets full of Star Trek drawings and a few psychology words. :P
Damn it. My jacket fell from my computer chair and it made me jump... Wait. I had like put it so it WOULDN'T fall off... Oh well. It's not every day a jacket which has the majority of its weight over the front of a chair fall off the back of it. :S
Damn it. My jacket fell from my computer chair and it made me jump... Wait. I had like put it so it WOULDN'T fall off... Oh well. It's not every day a jacket which has the majority of its weight over the front of a chair fall off the back of it. :S
@Dragona: The joints in my fingers ceased up so I could hardly put my pen down, let alone pick up a bottle of water. ^^ The one I had this afternoon was boiling. They had two electric fans which heated the first two desks at either end of the room. You could see the invigilators kept migrating towards them, and I was just sat there wishing I could, too. :P ^^
WHO IS THAT? Is that Silas Nadir? Also, I AM SIXTEEN TODAY. Also, I have no time to be in Blogland. BUT I WANT TO BE IN BLOGLAND. But I cannot be. BUT I WANT TO BE. But goodbye.
Hmm very interesting Mr Landy, Are you implying that on the 27/09/14 we will all become prisoners? Trapped in the fantasy world of the Skulduggery Pleasant books?
... Or is that Skulduggery? Who just got imprisoned on that date. ... After he got his flesh back ...
I don't know I'm just making random guesses that probably sounded better in my head.
*Adra sits curled up by the pool with a towel wrapped around herself, shivering slightly* *Her legs are sore- such is the burden of self-served physical therapy, and there's a knowing sensation at the pit of her stomach- it's been there ever since she had woken up from her nightmare of an experience in Hell* *Unfortunately, her body needed her energy to stay intact, and so it pulled from her muscle and fat, and now she's like a skeleton* *Aa if she weren't small enough already, her arms are thin and bony, and she would guess that she weighs about fifty pounds- forty less than her usual weight* *She feels a little sick, and shuts her eyes, wishing for Alastair to come back and carry her inside* *The darkness behind her eyelids gives way to memories in her head that dig into her conscious mind like a shovel- memories of the lives she has ended, and lived through, the final moments of one million people- her malicious face through their eyes as they take their final breath* *In Hell, she was deaf to all noise, except the screaming of her innocent victims, which was loud and ringing. Above everything, it was their screams, their final anxiety, that broke her* *Wraps her arms around her knees and begins to cry*
Good evening, Dugglyn I apologize, I'm not conversing. I just wanted to drop that snippet in there for now, and then leave. I might be back a tad later with a few more snippets, however.
Me: I'm going to rip every little elf-like ear off of those Dark Elves. I'll do because they killed Odin.
Loki: Zanida, save it for battle.
Me: Yes. Battle.
:P yeah Zanida is annoyed. Someone who gets married, goes on to a honeymoon, and the first night has to go back to the castle because Odin died and her and Thor are next in line, I think she was mad
Listening to her views in my head is funny. Zanida just is so quiet, and then you wrong her she says it.
God now she says if we do this I should be Loki!!! I'm a girl is that even logically possible?! I mean..I'm probably the one to pull off being a guy because of my smallness but...aah!! I would do it but I dunno if its even logical to do at Comic Con.
Maybe it's Derek's character, because he said he has a secret character in the books, but he won't tell us who it is, anyway, I'm just thinking here, and it's probably not what I think it is, but oh we'll
Oh, and hello again everyone! Sorry I haven't been on here in about 1 month, but I have to get up early in the mornings, and I don't get home from school until almost 4:30, and I've been really busy the past 3 weekends
I have been staring at that picture all day and my brain is thinking so many things: sp book 9 release date? No... would derek go to tne trouble of getting a picture drawn just for that? Maybe its a clue for the book? The next series he's writing? One of the mystery event things he talked about a while ago? He's been kidnapped and is being forced to make more sp books and he's trying to tell us through some type of code?
These thoughts and more have been bugging me all day.
On seeing the prisoner: (inwardly) OH MY GOD THIS IS JEPIC :D :D :D WOOP WOOP
On realizing the prisoner's serial number and the so-called "date" match: (inwardly) OH MY GOD THIS IS JEPIC :D :D :D WOOP WOOP
When the fact sunk in: (inwardly) What, so I spent all that time doing number puzzles with 270914 for NOTHING? Derek, you are evil. :(
When I realized that my priorities are completely and utterly messed up and that the cover art is beautiful: Sorry, Tom Percival. Blame my brain, not me.
*whispers into the (probably) empty void which is Blogland* Hello? *picks up a pebble (strangely, this looks like the TARDIS snarling in Journey To the Center of the TARDIS) and throws it in* *waits about 20 minutes* *suddenly, something shoots up out of the void* *for some strange reason, it's a cabbage*
(Inspiration for Chord came from the movie coming out called Lucy, it looks amazing. It's about a woman who indirectly consumes drugs that unlock the full usage of the brain, and she can change the environment around her and stuff.)
Hot nights are the worst, you never get any sleep. I might be a vampire you know... I like the dark and the cold which is strange considering I was born in the summer.

Hey XD
@Star: I saw that in the comments, and I checked, but it tried to save as "PRISONER" for me, so I think that could have been changed now, or that maybe it's just my PC. :P
Also, I have no idea who Nadir IS, so... :P ^^
Yeah, it's changed. Used to be NADIR, now it's PRISONER.
And yeah. Nadir appears in KOTW.
(Nadir, the dimensional shunter. Originally met in book 7 I do believe all though that may be wrong.)
There was Silas Nadir, the dimensional shunter. And he was a serial killer, I think. So he could be put in prison.
@Taia: Oh, okay . . . :P
@Lantern: Ah. :P Well, too late - the word is out. XD
(Zafira please come back. Your distance is killing me metaphorically.)
@thesorryassassin: I don't think she can help it. :/
*hugs Star back* You are the wisest bubble of them all. :)
(Although I'm not sure how much of a compliment that is, at face value. Are bubbles especially wise, generally speaking? :P)
@Fabiulous: *nods* I figured so. :)
And- *hugs* :)
Also HI ALL. C:
wbd - arting maybe
@Taia: I don't know. I know we're awesome, but that's about it. :P
Thanks. :) :) :)
Art . . . :/
(I know she most likely can't help it Star. I just hoped that commenting her name might draw her back to the blog.)
@Thesorryassassin: Fairy nuff. :)
@Jedi & Dragona: *nods* That's probably so. :) But I'm behind, and still haven't managed to get hold of the books after #6 yet. So I don't follow anyway. :P ^^
Also- Hello, Jedi! Have we met already? *tilts head*
Nadir is an escaped prisoner, and of course there was a lot of talk about dimensional shunting in LSODM.
(Good day Taia.How are you?)
Is it Lewis Holmes' character? It seems like this is the specific thing Derek would have wanted for the book, an error of the escape of prisoner 270914.
On the Xbox One advert there's something I don't understand.

@Star: *laughs* Oh. :P
:) :) :)
And- ? It's nice art to do, not, like, compulsory I-don't-want-to-do-this art? ^^
@TheSorryAssassin: Hello! :) I'm grand, thank you. How are you? :)
@Dragona: Woah . . . :O What?
(It wouldn't work for people with one-track brains like me, I mean, but with people like Ari and Silente . . .
My friend once watched TV whilst reading a book whilst listening to music whilst doing homework whilst talking to her mum whilst testing her friend :O)
@Taia: I mean - I want to be doing art. :P
And- :) to ME4. C:
*texting
(Yes. But you simply CAN'T play a game well whilst doing something else. Unless it's like listening to music or something. The game it showed on the advert was a shooting game. If it was something like Mario, fair enough... but if you try and do more than one thing during a shooting game you'll die. Or at least, on the better ones you will.
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! IT'S FINALLY FINISHED! --->
WOAHHHHHHHHHHHHH THAT'S REALLY GOOD! :O
You can draw people better than me. :P
@Starlar: Oh. Sorry. :P
I hope you can do art soon? :)
To be honest, I think I'm too tired to do any serious art, anyway.
If I suddenly disappear, my brain probably just temporarily shut down or something. :P
@Taia: Yeah. I'm going to sleep pretty much now-er-ly. :P
(DAMMIT HOW DO I KEEP DISCOVERING PEOPLE'S SECRET IDENTITIES? EVERYBODY GETS INTO CHARACTER SO WELL AND I KEEP ACCIDENTALLY CHEATING AND FINDING OUT WHO THEY ARE ANYWAY AND IT'S NOT FAIR. D:)
@Silente: WOW. That is excellent! :D
Taia - I tend to do it too. Idk I don't really agree with secret identities. I'm not a very trusting person at the best of times and tbh it just ruins my trust in people :P
@Taia: For Thesorryassassin?
I'm 98% certain I know who they are. C: And I've told a few people so that when I'm proven correct they'll back me up. :)
And - I KNOW!!! IT'S FAB. :O
*hugs Silente* YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) IT LOOKS WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! :)
(I think you might be doing the same unit of work we're doing - I had to do a self-portrait too. :P)
*HUGS STAR WHICH YOU KNOW I DON'T MIND AT THIS PRESENT MOMENT IN TIME BECAUSE I'M ACTUALLY ECSTATIC*
THANK YOU! OMG YES! IT'S OVER! I DID IT IN TIME AS WELL! WITH TIME TO SPARE!
@Silente: YAAAAAAAAY! :)
*pours confetti over her celebratory display*
Star - yes, but that brings up a point.
Say if it isn't a character and it's just a secret identity.
Then you don't know who they are and who they aren't - any "new" person could be them. And that leads me not to trust the new people as well as the people who I suspect. It's fine if it's just a character, but IF they're talking to people like in brackets so not as their character then they should state their presence.
Idk, it kind of annoys me. I just don't understand why anyone would do it :P
@Dragona: I don't mean to. It happens by accident. :P
I'm okay with secret identities if they're not being used abusively, which they tend to not be.
ANd, yeah. :)
@Star: Yup. I'm 100% sure I know who it is. Same way it happened when I got Actually Do Mind Who I Am. But I don't mean to do it! :P
*eats the confetti*
Nom nom nom.
*realises she interrupted a dicussion*
*whoopsies*
What was happening before I burst in screaming and shouting about art?
@Silente: O_O
Okay, you're weird.
(But I don't see that as a bad thing. :P
*tends to forget that it's an insult, actually XD*)
*nods at Taia*
@Silente: Uh . . . nothing. :)
*hugs*
*probably hyper*
*most likely hyper*
*i thunk I'm hyper*
*HYPER!!!*
Yo! *waves*
Distant, hopefully, because writing-yell at me if I'm not, please :)
Hey Kestrel! How are you?
YO MESSY! HOW ART THOU MESSY?!
"I find the fact some people find being called weird insulting insulting!"
OH MY GOSH I'm going to quote you on that. :)
Hey Kes! :)
Star - I guess I'm not the best person to talk about it, that's true. But meh. It DOES kind of annoy me and yeah I've tried to explain it the best I can but idk I'm not sure about it myself :P
Once I find out who it is I'm fine - and I ALWAYS find out who it is.
Hey Kestrel! C:
Hey Star!
Hey Storm- and lol, Messy :3
Taia - HEY! That's not-
Oh. Wait. Yes. Yes it is.
Stupid things annoy people, I guess.
But it's not other people's fault you get annoyed, is it?
@Taia: OH MY GOSH that's perfect. :)
Your officially nicknames Messy now Messy. Or mess. Or Bob. Or Bib Bob. BIB BOB! That sounds so weird!
*continues saying Bib Bob over and over and over*
Oh, no. I don't blame them, Star. Not at all.
@Silente: I'm in top set maths too and me and numbers do not get along at all . . . :P
Also, I can't multiple decimals.
On my mock the other week, I did FINE apart from anything requiring basic multiplication. Lol. :P
(And I screwed up a few other things, but meh.)
Hey Taia!
Storm, Bob is not acceptable. I WILL get all emotional over Bob from HOH.
@Dragona: Well, that's fine, then. :)
*begins attempting to analyse why it should annoy you*
*draws a blank, because I'm much better at analysing myself than analysing other people, as for other people I simply do not have enough material* *eh*
RHYDIAN SHOULD CALL CORVO BIB BOB!!!
BIB BOB! BOB AND BIB! BOPPING ROUND THE GARDEN! BIB BOB! BOB AND BIB! IN THE KITCHEN FRIDGE! EY!
*loves maths* :/
*doesn't believe maths exists*
@Dragona: Yep. :P
I like some kinds of maths and don't like other kinds and don't especially like maths lessons.
BAH HUM BUG I HAZ TA GO BE4Z MA ALARM/PHONE DEEZ! SEE Y'ALL REAL SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON! SO LONG TO MESSY, DRAGGIE, STARRY EYES AND TAIACAURUS REX!
Taia: In my defence, that was a time when my brain wasn't making sense.
Taia, I always multiply when it says to add and screw up, so...
Star, yeah, I don't really like maths lessons either, but I enjoy just sitting there doing problems.
@Taia: I read the comments . . . :)
Wow . . . we're all smart maths-y people, aren't we? O_O
I usually get As in maths . . .
But I never revise . . .
But before my mock I decided to and I didn't really have anything TO revise so I didn't bother . . .
Fours, Silente! :P *hugs*
@Kes: I like rearranging equations and stuff.
And once we got given this A Level probability Venn diagram problem to do and I loved that. :)
@Kes: I like maths, too! :)
But I wasn't taught long or short multiplication and division methods in primary school and so it makes not much sense to me.
I multiply by other means, and I divide via calculator, though, so... :P ^^
But, yeah.
@Taia: Aw, you're an intelligent person like C . . . :P
In physics, we often (metaphorically) get told that if we press this button the TV will turn on, and C just kind of grinds to a halt because she can't really accept it unless she understands it fully and knows WHY the TV turns on, and so she just sits there going I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS whereas I'm just like "Button. TV. Cool," and just accept it and write it down. :P
This is one of my primary arguments when we have the you're-cleverer-than-me argument.
(Her primary argument is that I do better in tests. Which is a rubbish argument, because tests are shit anyway and don't measure your ability).
I can't multiple decimals.
And my brain often screws up.
And sometimes I struggle to mentally add so I give up and just grab a calculator. :P
(Oh dear. XD)
Division - I know short division, and I was taught long division the other week.
Star, I really want to write a rant about how rubbish tests are(especially our standardised tests, holy crap) but I MUST NOT LET MYSELF GET DISTRACTED
And Star, multiplying decimals is easy. If you have, for example,
21.5 times 18.3 you just multiply it like its 215 times 183 and then count how many decimal places there are in the original problem (2) and make there be that many in the answer.
@Star: *grins* :P
@Dragona: *laughs* No worries, I liked it. :P
And, considering your brain wasn't working, I think Deceptiswans was very clever. Witty. :P / :)
(Also, sorry for poofing that night (I'm not sure when it was..? o0), my internet went off. ^^)
@Kes: That's fine. :)
And - yeah. Tests are rubbish. :P
And - ohhhhkay.
*tries to remember that - unfortunately, once I learn something wrong the first time, I just remember not being able to do it and don't seem to pick up the knowledge of how to do it :P*
Star, lol. But you were seriously never taught how to do that? That's odd...Especially since you're at least a year ahead of me...
How did they teach you to do it?
Gtg, bye!
@Kes: I'm sure I was taught once. I probably didn't remember it. :P
(I remember most things, give me a break.) (I probably wasn't listening.)
And - like I said, I can't remember how I was taught. I just don't know, and I've never really attempted to find out so I've just gone through the past few years not being able to multiple them. XD
Fours! :(
Ooh, looks like I just got upgraded from Taiaceratops to Taiacaurus Rex! EXPERIENCE POINTS GAINED. *cheers* :P
*hugs Silente* See you!
@Kes: Yeah, I do that. When we had to copy questions out in class, I'd always copy it out wrong, and so I'd get the answer right for what I was answering, but it's still wrong. :P
STAR INKBRIGHT HAS AN AWESOME BRAIN, OKAY?
OKAY.
@Taia: Yaaaaaaaaay! :P
@Taia: I do that sometimes . . . :P
I often muddle my minus and plus signs up, and then I get it wrong, and then Sir tells me to how deal with negatives and I'm just like, yeah, I know, my brain. :P
@Lantern: *hugs* Thanks. :)
But not really.
It hinders me. :P
@Star: *bows* Thank you. :3
But, idk.
Sorry I poofed.
Taia: DECEPTISWANS. :D
@Taia: Noooooo . . . because I can't rely on faith.
And I'm much more like a physicist than Wilf, and I don't just accept things, but I think I do in physics because I don't realise that I am, kinda, and I don't have the intelligence to stop and think "How, why?"
I just kind of give it a nod as it slides in.
So I think I accept these things because I don't question what people tell me.
I might make an image of a deceptiswan. Get an image of the Megatron guy and stick a swan's head on it instead.
My dog is keeping me awake. *sighs*
His dislike of moving grass is immense.
Bye, Kes! *hugs*
@Fabitastic: AYE!
@Star: My mistakes often don't make any sense at all.
My friend used to (it's so weird talking about school in past tense :O) always look at my work like 'are you done yet, did you get this answer?' and end up just staring at my book like "...What are you DOING?"
And I'd be like, "uh. answering the question?"
To which the response would be, "WHAT question?"
At which point I'd look confusedly between my book and the board, trying to work out what question I'M doing, and then trying to work out which numbers/signs I got mixed up in which question, and finding NOTHING resembling my question at all, and just whispering "I don't know."
xD
@Dragona: Lol. XD
And - :/
@Taia: LOL. XD
@Dragona: That'd be fun. XD
There was once a question on a maths exam asking about some sort of square root or something and it asked you to calculate it to 2 decimal places. At the end I had like half an hour left and got its actual value because I was bored and got it to like... 37 decimal places.
It filled most of the page with my workings out.
OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoh!
Is this the back cover then? It's probably the back cover. Or an inside cover! But is this prisoner in TDOTL OR AOH?
Hmm... So many questions.
And, aw, again? :(
I hope you can find an effective way to settle him soon. :/ ^^
@Dragona: Oh my gosh. :O
I would just not BOTHER. :P
*likes my thinking time at the end of tests* *it's quite nice to just drift off*
@Taiasaurus Rex: Of course. :)
@Star: *nodS* I got that, too. xD
And- *laughs* Probably. But since I'm going back next year, it's kind of immaterial anyway. :P
I think I'll enjoy having time to catch up on things like reading and writing and art and things. Television, maybe. Plus time to think. And learn new words. And improve at things. And, yeah. A long summer and lots of free time will be nice, even if finishing school early has its drawbacks? ^^
Taia: I'd just hope I fell asleep in a comical position. Or plan around it so sleeping WAS the punchline.
Then again I only know one sleep line. Which consists of "sleep is boring; I can do it with my eyes closed" and it isn't very funny.
There is one thing which could save me if I fell asleep.
A flying squirrel.
I've always wondered what would happen if you put a fan underneath a flying squirrel.
@Dragona: *laughs* Wow. That's a good idea. :)
I just tend to sit there trying not to make noise and watching the clock and trying to smile at the invigilators because, idk, smiling is nice? :P
Or, if I suddenly remember one of the stupid things I drew when doing revision (recently Star Trek related, which is worse :P) I have to sit there resisting the urge to illustrate them all. :P
@Dragona: Plan around it so that sleeping WAS the punchline. XD
And- LOL. xD
Taia: I tend to ignore the invigilators because they're all grumpy. And if I don't ignore them I'd make fun of them.
I wonder whether the squirrel would get a parachute or just hover in the air.
Idk.
@Dragona: Yes, but if they get a smile, they might feel less grumpy. :P
Some of them are not too bad. O.O
But some of them are okay. They've asked me, nicely, how the paper was, before now. :) ^^
xD
I like the idea of a parachute. x3
MSD
I'd have loved a freezing exam. Ours were BOILING and I hated it. At least when its cold water is refreshing rather than some lukewarm liquid which makes you more thirsty than before.
You know your internet is screwed up when you get a better signal by moving away. :S
You know your internet is screwed up when you get a better signal by moving away. :S
LOL xD
Yeah, I do that with the drawing, sometimes. :P
"Okay.
I have no idea why it keeps double posting.
@Dragona: The joints in my fingers ceased up so I could hardly put my pen down, let alone pick up a bottle of water. ^^
The one I had this afternoon was boiling. They had two electric fans which heated the first two desks at either end of the room. You could see the invigilators kept migrating towards them, and I was just sat there wishing I could, too. :P ^^
And- Yeah. :/
Taia: there's no need to make a cold exam sound any better. :P
@Dragona: Huh. ^^
And- YEah, I got that, too. Maybe Blogger just likes to hear more from us? :P
*laughs* :P
I think I'm gonna go now. Tiredness. :P
I hope your dog stops barking soon (if it hasn't already?) so you can get some sleep. ^^
I put on the radio which is helping... I might try and go to sleep, too. I'll probably be back in 30 seconds but yeah. :P
Lol, okay. Well, good luck. :) ^^
Night, Dragona!
*waves*
perhaps his next series??
hmmmm.
or Mr. Landy is working us up over nothing.
also: guess what my new desktop background is?
WHO IS THAT?
Is that Silas Nadir?
Also, I AM SIXTEEN TODAY.
Also, I have no time to be in Blogland.
BUT I WANT TO BE IN BLOGLAND.
But I cannot be.
BUT I WANT TO BE.
But goodbye.
*leaves*
And then Darquese hit him with a horse.
Hmm very interesting Mr Landy,
Are you implying that on the 27/09/14 we will all become prisoners? Trapped in the fantasy world of the Skulduggery Pleasant books?
... Or is that Skulduggery? Who just got imprisoned on that date. ... After he got his flesh back ...
I don't know I'm just making random guesses that probably sounded better in my head.
Has anyone thought that maybe Valkire's reflection left something behind?, it could be possible couldn't it?...
Always fear, Dugglyn is here!
How be's yous eyes?!!!
I wouldn't be surprised if Valkyrie's reflection, or Stephanie, had left something behind.
*Adra sits curled up by the pool with a towel wrapped around herself, shivering slightly* *Her legs are sore- such is the burden of self-served physical therapy, and there's a knowing sensation at the pit of her stomach- it's been there ever since she had woken up from her nightmare of an experience in Hell* *Unfortunately, her body needed her energy to stay intact, and so it pulled from her muscle and fat, and now she's like a skeleton* *Aa if she weren't small enough already, her arms are thin and bony, and she would guess that she weighs about fifty pounds- forty less than her usual weight*
*She feels a little sick, and shuts her eyes, wishing for Alastair to come back and carry her inside*
*The darkness behind her eyelids gives way to memories in her head that dig into her conscious mind like a shovel- memories of the lives she has ended, and lived through, the final moments of one million people- her malicious face through their eyes as they take their final breath*
*In Hell, she was deaf to all noise, except the screaming of her innocent victims, which was loud and ringing. Above everything, it was their screams, their final anxiety, that broke her*
*Wraps her arms around her knees and begins to cry*
*As
Ugh, I don't like Stephanie!
Hi, Adra!
Good evening, Dugglyn
I apologize, I'm not conversing. I just wanted to drop that snippet in there for now, and then leave. I might be back a tad later with a few more snippets, however.
Yeah, I have stuff to do.
Nice story!
This is a fun fan fic!!
We just have absolutly no peace in each chapter
Dark Elves unite, Odin is dead, and Zanida is elected to ally with the frost giants because they all know it'll end up going to them next.
Laufey fights then turns on the Asguadians. And Loki gets to basically say I told you so to his dear sister
V: Come on Zaf you should go to Comic Con! Then if we meet Loki you can proclaim your loyalty.
Me: If I go I am going as Frigga, so if he came at least I'd live.
V: You should go as yourself.
Me: Oh good god...yes I'd be like oh yes I'm Zanida Laufeydottir. My luck someone would cosplay as Loki, oe Tom Hiddleson would be there.
V: At least we know you'd only faint once.
Me: No, I'd be too stunned to faint, I'd be thinking how can I not end up terrified.
God now she says if we do this I should be Loki!!! I'm a girl is that even logically possible?! I mean..I'm probably the one to pull off being a guy because of my smallness but...aah!! I would do it but I dunno if its even logical to do at Comic Con.
Ah dynamite.
-I arrive, riding on a black stallion-
I have been staring at that picture all day and my brain is thinking so many things: sp book 9 release date? No... would derek go to tne trouble of getting a picture drawn just for that? Maybe its a clue for the book? The next series he's writing? One of the mystery event things he talked about a while ago? He's been kidnapped and is being forced to make more sp books and he's trying to tell us through some type of code?
These thoughts and more have been bugging me all day.
Ooh! Maybe the number of pages in the book?
Na...
Skulduggery when he was human?
I think its one of the minions that he kills in the end.

On seeing the prisoner:
(inwardly) OH MY GOD THIS IS JEPIC :D :D :D WOOP WOOP
On realizing the prisoner's serial number and the so-called "date" match:
(inwardly) OH MY GOD THIS IS JEPIC :D :D :D WOOP WOOP
When the fact sunk in:
(inwardly) What, so I spent all that time doing number puzzles with 270914 for NOTHING? Derek, you are evil. :(
When I realized that my priorities are completely and utterly messed up and that the cover art is beautiful:
Sorry, Tom Percival. Blame my brain, not me.
IT IS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!
*throws confetti, rice grains, active Desolation Engines, cupcakes and such in a carefree manner*
-I run at a tree, grabbing the trunk, pulling myself up until I'm perched on top, a black crow flying down, landing on my shoulder-
Anyone here?
*raises hand tentatively*
I think I am....
Hello, Emerald.
Hello, Chord. :)
And please, call me Fay. It's easier/quicker to type.
*whispers into the (probably) empty void which is Blogland*
Hello?
*picks up a pebble (strangely, this looks like the TARDIS snarling in Journey To the Center of the TARDIS) and throws it in*
*waits about 20 minutes*
*suddenly, something shoots up out of the void*
*for some strange reason, it's a cabbage*
FEZZZZZZ
Anyone up for some serious role play?
No strange tardis pebbles.
Didnt Sean or Doran get out of prison in one of the books?
-I turn, seeing Leitrim-
Hello.
Grand mage of what?
Leitrim. Hello.
Where exactly is Leitrim?
And I don't think it's a country.
County, perhaps.
Republic of leitrim where every Wednesday is pancake tuesday.
It's in the west of Ireland.
Might as well be the grand Mage of nothing.
-I hop down, my crow following me, as I collect an apple from a nearby apple tree-
-takes a mandarin out of fedora and peels it and eats it-
-I wave my hand, the mandarin turning into an off mandarin-
Oops.
Least I know America is safe
-takes another mandarin out of his fedora peels it and eats it-
What colour is that apple?
Im just curious.
Whatever colour you want it to be.
-I focus on the apple, it turns into a black rose-
Complete brain capacity. It's wonderful.
-I walk over to Zafira, waving the thorns away as I place it in her hands-
(Inspiration for Chord came from the movie coming out called Lucy, it looks amazing. It's about a woman who indirectly consumes drugs that unlock the full usage of the brain, and she can change the environment around her and stuff.)
What is this?
A thornless black rose.
Thank you. *keeps it close* I'm stunned, black roses mever often find me
*Internal Screaming*
The fangirl inside just wants to jump out right now. Holy shizz I cannot wait for this! A conclusion 8 years in the making! :D
Its gonna kill us all
HIya peoples
Goodness, I always miss Chord.
Damn.
Wasn't Silas Nadir in prison and then he escaped and shunted people and everything got shit crazy...? Or am I thinking of someone else?
I'm so hungryyyy
Hello everyone btw *hugs*
HI people who have just come on
Yes, Hello :) *hugs all round*
*hugs back* Up to much?
Homework and blogging and commenting all at the same time :) how about everyone else?
Watching Naruto and commenting while basking in the glow of the rare sunshine :)
Not a lot. I'm not here, actually- I was just stopping through to post that.
*Waves goodbye*
Byii Adrasdos
Awesome, awesome. Our sunshine has faded away... I'm kind of glad though. It was getting to warm for me :/
It is a bit too warm but Wales doesn't get much sun, so I'm soaking it in while I can
Yeah we don't get much sun in Northern Ireland either, but I hate sun so I don't soak it up... I complain.
I like a bit of sun, but I hate hot nights and the sun rising early
Hot nights are the worst, you never get any sleep. I might be a vampire you know... I like the dark and the cold which is strange considering I was born in the summer.
Cool, Vampires are awesome :)
I prefer snowy holidays rather than sunny ones. And I like sitting in the dark.
Does Grand Mage Zafira Kerais happen to be on?
Haven't seen Zafira *looks around*
and sitting in the dark is great :) it's so relaxing for some reason. No headaches.
Very well then. I shall return to my original state of lurking.
Lurking is a good state to be in.
