Here is the first batch of stuff I was given while on the KOTW tour.
I've started to only pack half a bag every time I go away, because the amount of things I'm given while signing is just astronomical. What usually happens is that my publicist takes anything I can't fit onto the plane and sends it on to me afterwards. Well, the final package has arrived, so here I am to give you a brief pictorial rundown.
A skull! Signed by "le gang"! And a picture from the irrepressible one, Becky...
I don't have room to put up all of the artwork I was handed, but here are some pieces that stood out...
And I was also given books! One Minion had illustrated my biography blurbs- wonderfully unique idea! And in Liverpool I was handed Project Baguette, a collection of letters and notes and drawings and all kinds of coolness.
And elsewhere in the UK I was given a box! A wonderful little box!
But what's INSIDE the wonderful little box? Is it, perhaps, a set of wonderfully TINY Skulduggery books? It is!
The pic below is so cool. For those of you who can't spot the similarity, this is Super Derek, sitting on a stack of books, reading one with, er, his tongue hanging out of his mouth...
Quite simply one of the CUTEST things I've ever been given.
I've shown this one before, but I figured I'd do it again, and add in another two Skulduggerys (one from this tour, another from... three years ago, maybe...?)
And this! This Raggy Skulduggery that SHE WOULDN'T LET ME KEEP!
Because of the unfortunate lack of Skulduggery merchandise, many of you have had to improvise. Some of you, ahem, have improvised better than others...

I had so much homework this week. I am not even kidding. I know it's Year Nine and we're preparing for GCSEs and blahdi blah, but it doesn't stop it being annoying.
No GSCEs this year though, I think. We're switchinf back to terminal assessments, which my mum and dad like better, but they're harder. We certainly won't do our Maths and Science GCSEs till Year Eleven.
In our first Science lesson Sir gave us all a piece of paper each and told us to write on it what we had learnt on our first day in Year Six. Most people, like me, wrote nothing. Some of us wrote a few words. Then Sir said that the distance from now until our GSCEs was about the same as from now till the first day of Year Six, and that everything we learnt now, we had to store in our memories until Year Eleven and not forget it.
Pretty daunting . . .

Do secondary schools choose their options at the end of year 8? Because I go to an upper school and we're choosing ours sometime this year..
I forget just about everything, so...

I'm in year 10 and we chose options at the end of year 8. I chose Music, German and Art.
I am in Year 12 it works kinda differently over here in the North of Ireland.
We choose at the end of year 10 (which is age 13/14)
That's year 9 for us. Year 110 is 14 - 15.

Tanith pushed her motorbike faster on the slick highway. The Bentley was gaining; she couldn't let them get her. The artificial light reflected off the rain soaked road and blinded her.
Tanith looked behind her, towards the skeleton driving a car and an 18 year old girl looking at her with pleading eyes.
The front wheel started to shake and Tanith tried to correct it. She even slowed down a bit for it. The wind was rushing in her ears and blowing her hair away from her face. Any other night she'd be laughing and killing but tonight she was fleeing. She recalled the memory.
"I'm home!" Tanith called out as she walked through Billy Ray Sanguine's door. It had been a long night and she wanted to tell Billy Ray the news about how she killed a tv reporter while the camera was rolling and it was live. He'd laugh so much. Tanith carefully laid down her sword behind the vase and looked for Billy Ray.
The house was to quiet, the tv wasn't on and the radio wasn't blarring country music. Something's wrong, she thought and stepped into the bedroom.
There, lying face down on the floor was Billy Ray. There were two people hovering over him. A super thin man and an 18 year old girl. Skulduggery Pleasant and his annoying partner Valkyrie Cain.
Tanith backed out of the room and sprinted for the garage. She jumped on her bike and it roared to life. Tanith floored it and left, leaving an impressive skid mark behind her.
The wheel was shaking very violently now and it threatened to flick Tanith off. She sped up too quickly and on the wrong angle. Tanith felt herself flying through the damp night air and landing in a heap under a broken street lamp. She could feel the blood gushing from a cut on her head and knew the one of her legs were broken.
She stared at the coming dawn and found two faces looking over her. A skeleton's and a young girl's. Tanith thought it funny that death had come to her after all those people that she had killed. She thought herself invinsible.
Her life slipped away from her like sand through fingers.
