With Desolation only a few days away, I am still hard at work on the third and final Demon Road book.
From the beginning, I wanted these books to be as streamlined as possible — I wanted them short and punchy. Now, I completely failed with Demon Road, as it was a pretty big book, and only got slightly better with Desolation, which is shorter, but it looks like I'm finally getting the hang of this with Book 3, which will hopefully be the perfect length.

So i just finished watching the series called "dexter" today, and here are my initial thoughts after watching it:
WARNING A SHIT TON OF SPOILERS AHEAD
I think the show was enjoyable overall. IT had a lot of awesome moments and the plot was always great. A few thing i say, that could be changed are: Dexter's character development. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think it was bad, how he started having actual feelings but...I feel it was in the expense of the awesome charisma he used to have. What i mean is, he slipped up too much for him to be this all out bad-ass character. Some mistakes were ok. Some feelings were ok. But toward the end, most of what he did was either a fuck up, or lead by his emotions. I liked the dexter that had some kind of a resent and a feeling that he needs to be a good person e.g. good brother, good husband. But he clearly didn't mess up much and was still very badass; Other thing is: hannah. I mean, Lumen was understandable, after rita died and all and i actually liked her character a little bit. But there was nothing protruding about Hannah's character, and I feel like she didn't need to be there what so ever. They should've went with Debra as his last lover, because it would've made more sense and plus she was in way more seasons-more connected to the character. Would've made her death more dramatic too. I feel like they had that idea in their minds initially, but were afraid of public opinions and so they decided to go with something else.; this is the last thing i can think of right now-In my opinion, they could've done a lot more with his brother than killing him off in season 1. I think he should've got away and came back later, causing more drama. Also, he would've been a lot finer final boss of the serious than that little prick that was introduced half way through the last season lol. It would have made more impact if he was the one who killed debra.

Oh. Uh, well... *lightbulb moment* Can you get a round trip ticket that's valid the whole day/week in some places? It might cost a little extra, but it saves you from having 'no ticket out', and you'd have it before the event even starts so no worries about money. Unless you only have a limited amount and it costs more than that..(again, sorry for lateness. I seem to be doing that a lot recently)

@Lav: Humour comes with practise. As on goes about their life, their subconscious impressions of humour are influenced by what gets a laugh out of people. After a year or two of speaking to my friends, I'm starting to learn to tailor my speech in a way that might get a laugh put of them, but if you asked me what I was doing I wouldn't be able to explain it bevause it's all subconscious impressions and so on. It's like how if you read a load of books, you are just able to write in proper grammar with a formal tone because your brain's just picked it up and you've learnt to subconsciously reproduce that style of speech.
. . . eh, so yeah.
Doesn't help that everyone had different impressions of humour, either. I never understood asdf movies and still don't. :P

Idk, I was panicking about being late and making everyone else late and overwhelmed by it all but yeah, he's awesome, and I knew he was awesome beforehand so yay!
Q & A was fun. He said that sticking the knife in and twisting it is something he'll always do in his books/last book of a series.
He also said he wrote Demon Road in 4 weeks, that the third Demon Road book's final chapter was written 1.5 weeks ago, and that 1/3 of the last book remains unwritten and he'll finish it in 2 weeks.
He also answered the question "What would you say to a person who really doesn't want to read the last Skulduggery Pleasant book?"
"Basically... buy it anyway! :D"
And then said how you'd use the book to cover other things, like... bought yourself some nice food? Cover it with the book, don't eat it till you've finished the book. And apply the same to other books, films etc.
But he also mentioned how he's never watched the last season of Gilmore Girls, or Shield. How he doesn't want it to end and for characters to die.
