This is something I've had in mind for years — a super supreme limited edition of only 1000 copies— the Black Edition. Those lucky few who have managed to get your hands on a proof copy of the first book should recognise the design we're echoing, bringing the whole thing full circle...
We're working with Waterstones on this, and so the Black Edition will only be available in their shops. You won't be able to preorder these. You won't be able to reserve one online or in person. Not even Waterstones STAFF can preorder these for THEMSELVES! On the day of publication, they will be put on the SHELVES — not on a table, not in the store window, not on a table out in front, but on the SHELVES. So you'll have to go hunting for them.
We already have 5000 copies of a Special Edition that comes signed, with that stunning cover, but the Black Edition will NOT be signed, and there will be a ONE PER PERSON policy. Basically, we're torturing you. We're making you choose.
The fact is, because there will only be 1000 printed, and so each store will only get a limited amount of copies, the chances of YOU, individual Minion, managing to snag one is pretty low. Because there is no way to guarantee that you get one, you're just going to have to be EXTREMELY lucky. Oh, and you should also check Twitter that day, because the stores will be tweeting how many copies they've got left. Until they tweet, there is no way of telling how many copies a particular store will have received.

She showed her the first time she met Roland, but from Ariana's perspective.
And it was clear to see that the more they continued to talk to one another, their body language changed toward one another.
Ariana took her hand away and giggled again, kicking the hem of the little dress up so her nappy was showing.*
Last time you shot at me, the bullets bounced off.
Zanida: Awesome we're bullet proof! *lunges at one agent, setting them on fire*
*fires sceptre at random agents*
*She froze as Ariana showed her. When she took her hand away, she looked down at the baby, confusion in her eyes*

*She shook her head and rocked back onto her heels*

*The agents tapped devices on the arms and a blue sheild defended them from the sceptre blasts. The one agent unlucky enough to be set aflame screamed until he burnt to death. Rose could smell his charred remains in her cell and gagged*
*Coulson disappeared for a moment, reappearing with his weapon*
Phil: I know what this does now. I'm willing to use it again.
*He started to charge up the beam, aiming squarely at Loki's chest*
*Roland gets up off the floor, smiling at Rose's reaction to Ariana.
He opens the door and frowns at the people in front of him. His wings flap, slightly nervous*

*She took Ariana into her arms and cradled her. She glanced up at the door, unable to see who was there. Her lips pursed and she decided to sit on the sofa, partially hiding the baby from view*

*She smiled at Aro's reaction but tensed when Alexis spoke. Fear made Rose's voice tremble*

I don't need to know what you look like, because looks don't matter. ddon't care if you can't eat our food, most of the time I don't eat it either. Most people can't drink blood. And our air slowly poisons us anyway. There is no such thing as old age, only oxygen poisoning.

Oxygen is poisonous. It harms the human body, oxidizes the cells. It's a long life, or a slow death. We need poison to live. But not so much as to be dead immediatly.
