Well.
We played Ludo.
When it got suggested, my dad said unenthusiastically, in a pointing-out way: "How many people can play Ludo, though?"
Sister, reluctantly: . . . Four.
Me: *has Hunter moment* Well, we'll just have to kill one of us to even the numbers up!

And when we were playing Ludo, my sister was yellow, my mum was green, and my brother was red, and we didn't have black counters so I was white counters on the black base, and I felt Hunter-like. :) White on black. It was epic.
But THEN . . . I was losing, I had one counter out, and my counter was one space away from being safe, plus nine spaces away from my brother's launch pad. My brother had two counters in the safe area, and two counters still stuck in his base. On his go, he rolled a six, getting on of his counters out (because that's how you get them out, rolling sixes). Then (because you roll again when you get a six), he rolled again, and got another six. He was then three spaces behind me.
I was really nervous when he rolled a third time in case he got a three and squished me, but he didn't. He got a third six, and got a second counter out - his last one. Then, he rolled again because of the six, and got a three.
I pleaded with him. He was winning out of all of us, and I was losing.
But no cigar. He squished me. I was ONE DAMN SPACE away from the safe area and he SQUISHED me.

I then spent most of the remaining game stuck in my base, unable to roll any sixes. My mum got the rest of her counters safe, and my brother got another counter in the safe, and my sister had all her counter on the board, and I was STILL stuck in my base.
Finally, I got out, and I got a counter around the board, and I got stuck again (I had got another counter out after the first, and another, but they got squished). By the time I rolled another six (I rolled two, actually, a few gos after each other. Why can't my sixes be spread evenly throughout the game?), my mum had totally won, and my brother had all his counters safe and almost all of them home. My sister had most of her counters safe and the rest in the final quarter of the board.
Needless to say, I lost. Badly. :P
Fun times. :)
I got pretty damn upset by my standards, though, when my brother murdered my chances like that. :P My sister has often gone into a sulk about things like this (more when she was younger), but I'm usually happily losing and going "Oh well it's only a game." This time, though, I WASN'T losing! I had a CHANCE! That's what made it annoying! OH, it's all very well for the people who are naturally talented at these things win all the time . . . *mutters*
My mum often loses, though. :)

@Adra: Ludo!
Everyone knows some variation of Ludo. :) I've played Ludo, Frustration, and . . . Hop and Pop, or something.
Each player has four counters in their base, well that's what we call it. We have a lot of Taylor terminology. :) When you roll a six, you can get one of your counters out, and you also get another roll. You have to get your counters right around the board and into your safe area. If another counter lands on you, you have to go back to your base.

@Amethyst: :/ Usually, I just read them without bending them, which can be really difficult as you sort of have to peer through this slit to see the words. Takes a bit of getting used to, not having the book flat, but you can read well enough Me and my sister manage it. My mum has no sense of respect for books and her books just get trashed. When I lend her mine, they also get creased spines, despite her efforts. -_-
Um. Sorry, rambling . . . yeah - you just have to read without having the book flat. It's not ideal. :/
