Honestly I don't know what I did exactly to get him to put me in, yeah I asked but at the time it was only POSSIBLE not definte I didn't know until January and then from there Derek continued to kind of tell me, I interact with Vex and I am an American Elder...I know how he described me but I can't say. Any information I know other then what I said, he'll have my head for saying. But anything that came out of his mouth I know isn't technically a spoiler...right?

Hello.
A few hours ago I faced the hardest decision of my Mass Effect-life and witnessed probably the most emotional scene in the history of EVERYTHING.
Shepard had to choose between two of his friends - and their races.
I could either choose between allowing a race of robotics to keep Reaper upgrades and making them more powerful - but destroying the Quarians and making one of my favourite characters (who I accidentally started a relationship with, with a wrong-press of a button), commit suicide.
Or I could prevent the robotic race having the Reaper upgrades and being wiped out by the Quarians.
It was both of my favourite alien races and I had to choose between them. Two of my favourite characters as well. And I was like "OH NO WHAT SHOULD I PICK".
Anyway I chose to let the Geth (robots) die. Then the Geth who was my friend turned hostile and beat the crap out of me but the Quarian who is my friend stabbed him and it was all very very very very emotional and yeah.
Then there was a scene where Shepard and the Quarian were talking and holding hands and stuff and it was emotional too but it was a HARD DECISION.
And I just caused the destruction of an entire species.
Oh well.

Okay, so my mum and granddad were having this debate, and I was listening to it and kept crying, so I thought I'd tell you it, depressing though the subject matters may be. Don't expect to cry - one of the contributing factors was how my mum said it, and I can't put that into writing. :(
My granddad said that this old lady had recently died in hospital of dehydration, beacuse nobody had been giving her water. Apparently her family had been taking her in ice lollies beacuse her lips were so dry and cracked. And he was saying that you would have thought that somebody would have noticed, and that what had happened to basic human instinct?
And my mum, who just quit being a youth worker, said that it was because they had so many things on their checklist, so nobody noticed.
And my granddad was saying, well, it's common sense! If I was a nurse, and I saw an old lady who was dehydrated, I would give her some water! It takes two seconds to go and fill a glass with water, and I would do that no matter how many things I had to do, because it's simple human kindness.
And my mum said in reply that the thing was, there was too much management. There were too many people being managers, and that the manager would have to manage this amount of things to get his pay check, so he'd tell everyone that the top priority was to go and count the number of computers in the computer labs and that, so he'd have something to tell them to do. And the thing was, everyone got burdened down with these simple, pointless tasks, and if they didn't do them they wouldn't get their pay checks. And it gets so wearisome, and nobody's doing what they enjoy, that eventually they just get in the mental state of just doing everything on their checklist. So the nurse who was hecking the old lady's blood pressure wouldn't have been thinking about the old lady and if she was okay, she'd've been thinking that she had to log the result in her computer so people could see she'd done it and then do the next thing on her checklist. And she said that she was getting this in her job, and you just stop really caring about people, and just do what you have to do. People stop using their human instincts.

And he also said - there is no such thing as an overworked nurse. In the olden days, each nurse treated forty patients in a day and every one of them came out happy and healthy.
To which my mum said - and they wouldn't have felt overworked and stressed, because they were doing what they loved doing. The problem is is that nowadays, things are so managed and measured that people don't just let people go and be human, and that's what needs to be done. She says that in youth work, you have to spend ages getting to know the young person and getting them to trust you, and that if you just run straight at people you'll get their backs up, but that obviously management won't think about this. They'll just say, right, you have six months to aolve this problem. (She's said previously that you can't just set deadlines for these things. In the old days, you had to try and help people, and you'd stop when the problem was completed. If you don't get it done in six months, is it okay to just drop it and leave people without any absense to their problems?)
And she said, kindness can't be measured, and they mostly think about things you can measure, and that's why they've gone into management, whereas the people like her how realise about this stuff have gone into her kinds of jobs.
(Background information: my mum knows this person called Nathan, and he was one of the teenagers she worked with, and then he was being a youth worker like her and they're really good friends. I think she thinks about him in the same way as I think about Maraness. Because she's like my perfect little sister. And a lot of I think about with the perfect part but without the little sister part, because you're around my age or older, and that's why I said Maraness, so nobody get all hurt or anything. Yes.) And she asked Nathan once what the thing that helped him the most was, and he said it was that she didn't give up, and that when he didn't turn up to stuff and showed no interest she was still alwasy texting him about this and that and still kept trying. But now, if people don't turn up to three appointments, you're not meant to continue working with them. You're not allowed to go into the reasons why they weren't turning up, and by just giving up, who are you helping?
My mum says that youth work is just magic, creating those bonds and all that, but she says that magic can't be measured, and it's all disappearing. People - her included - just start roboticly doing everything on their checklists because they just can't be bothered anymore.
You know how we say Blogland is magic? You know how we love each other and we're family? You know how people like us Bloglandians are just so perfect? You know how when you're trying to tell someone how perfect they are, you can never do it beacuse that sort of thing just can't be put in words? It's that kind of magic. You can't put it in words, you can't measure it, and it's all going down the drain.
I dedicate to that magic. May you survive foREVer. (Sorry, couldn't resist. :( However, the world is slighlty less magical now the Rev's dead, so it's vaguely appropriate?)

Im very artistic, I like writing songs, poems, stories, tried writing a book, I draw a lot... my new profile picture was SP that I drew. Most of the time, my words come out as rhyme.
