Apologies for the lapse in communication. A lot of stuff has happened/is happening and it's hard to find the time to Blog and think about business stuff and writerly endeavours. That said, I'm still hurtling through Book 8- I think I've got a third of it done, which is good news.
Let's see... Okay, on February 20th I'll be in London as part of the Imagine Festival. I''m going to be talking about the movies that have influenced Skulduggery, and showing trailers/scenes as we go. Expect a LOT of awesome 80's movies. You can book your tickets now.
On the 7th of March I'll be at the Riverbank Arts Centre in Kildare, interviewing Alex Barclay on stage about her fantasy novel for younger readers, Curse of Kings. Alex writes some of my favourite crime novels, and she's also a very good friend of mine, and you'll be hearing a lot more from me about Curse of Kings in the next few weeks.
On the 9th of March, I'll be in Derry, the City of Culture, doing... something. For 600 people. So... there's that. Book now! If you can find out what I'm doing. Because I haven't a clue.
In April, for The Maleficent Seven release, I'll be in Dublin and Cork and Galway and Stratford and Milton Keynes and, ulp, Norwich. Where SHE lives.
Oh, and last but not least, Twitter. Here is the official announcement:

March 28th. March then April... *laughs*
NEVER MIND
OMGG TODAY WAS SO AWESOME.
Lunch was really violent. XD First my friend and my other friend started chucking food at each other, then later when we were out of the lunch hall they were hitting each other with their bags, then we decided we might have given Friend 1 concussion (jokingly) and Friend 2 holding her hand up and saying to her, "How many fingers am I holding up?"
Then Friend 1 kept either doubly the number or saying things like, "Twenty!" or "A hundred!"
So Friend Two decided that her double vision would stop if she got hit hard enough. :P
Then we were all bashing our bags at Firend 1 or bobbing her on the head.
Then we calmed down and went to our next lesson. Only Friend Two, Friend Three and me all had Games, and whiolst we were waiting to go into the changing rooms (well actually, we were waiting for the teachers to come and telling us that we were having Games indoors coz of the snow and the ice and tell us to walk over the the other changing rooms, but yeah), we started kicking ice and at each other. XD
Ah, it was all so fun. I bet I live like a year longer now, I was laughing so much. :)
Then in Games, which was, as mentioned before, indoors in the sports hall, we played dodgeball. We were meant to be doing hockey but we have to have indoor Games nearly att in the winter because of wetness and snow, so when we do we do something else. Like Swedish Longball, Danish Langball, benchball or dodgeball.
AND I WAS IN TEAM FOUR (out of eight teams. And about ten people in each team. It's always a squish to have all the girls in half of our year group in the sports hall). AND WE LOST. YAY.
*laughs* And at the end, the winners got to go to get changed first, then the people who came second, then the people who came third. Then the teacher said everybody who caught somebody out (as in, by catching a ball) could go. So like half of us went. Then she said we could go if we'd got somebody out by throwing a ball. So I and a load of other people went. Leaving only two people left. And both those people were my friends. Probably my two closest friends in the whole sports hall. *laughs*
The teacher told them they were wastes of space then let them go. XD
OH AND IN MATHS YESTERDAY . . . You know how I'm in Set 1 (out of six) and have been since I came to the school? Well we were doing simultaneous equations. I sit next to my friend and what we'd do is we both do the question without talking to each other, then we compare our answers and I MADE A MISTAKE ON EVERY SINGLE ONE. I WAS TRYING REALLY HARD NOT TO AS WELL. IT WAS JUST SO FUNNY. YOU HAD TO BE THERE, BUT IT WENT SOMETHING LIKE THIS:
Me: b is 2, right?
Friend: What? No, it's 1.25!
Me: *frowns* No . . .
Friend: *groans* What've you done now? . . .
Me: It has to be 2 because 12r equals 24!
Frtiend: *looks at her work* What? Where've you got that from?
Me: *looks at my work* *sees mistake* OH, YEAH. I get it now! *starts laughing*
Friend: *also laughing*
Me: *finishs problem, still laughing* I WILL get the next one right. I WILL. I won't make a mistake this time, honest! *ignores how I say that every time, and I try really hard every time, but I just keep making mistakes and jdwlchdsjkvhbxwwseh*
Friend: I'm sure you will. *laughing*
But today I actually completed a few without making mistakes! *celebrates*
ANYWAY I'M GOING TO LIVE LONGER BECAUSE OF SO MUCH LAUGHTER AND YEAH. :)
