I'm all achey. I've had a long day and I'm tired. All I want to do is go to bed- and yet going to bed before 2 AM always seems like a waste of time. Like there's something I could be doing, some work I could be getting done...
33,000 words done on Book 8, by the way.
This time last year (January 6th) I started KOTW. I had been hideously delayed because of work to the house I'd been having done, and the deadline was fast approaching. So this year, having 33,000 words done by this stage is something of a relief. I am, of course, assuming that I can continue writing at the same rate. So, er, hopefully I can.
Wrote a cool scene yesterday. It involves Fletcher. It involves blood. It involves AWESOMENESS.

Yeah, I'm not one of those people who's afraid of anything- actually I'm really not afraid of much at all (especially things in real life. Example; people attacking me with metal bats aimed for my head? No problem.)- but I have a reallllly vivid imagination. So once I get an image in my head, to me, it's as real as my own skin. And that's why, ever since I can remember, I've been afraid of the dark. Anything from the smallest shadow to a vast expanse of darkness so thick I can't see my nose has the potential to be frightening- but the darker, the scarier. Because when it's pitch black and I can't see with my eyes, it's so much easier to see with my mind. I've learned to control it over the years, because I had to, but even now on nights when I'm really stressed, I get nightmares in my head. I'm too scared to sleep, and I can see whatever it happens to be that night so clearly, but I can't close my eyes, because if I do it gets so much clearer. And... That's when I'm really afraid. Thank you, SapphireShadowgirl. I like to think that I have a strong heart... In any case, I've survived this long. AND now I've survived this episode, too. Thank you all again for making this bearable! I'm fifteen, by the way. :)

Kestrel, about the fire- I can actually sympathize with you there. I'm actually also weirdly fascinated by pure darkness- and for some reason I really like running through it. Even though it's also terrifying. But at least if I'm running it means I'm not too scared to move- which is an improvement from nights. I guess everyone has their fears.

I go through phases with Valduggery, but my current opinion is dislike. Derek and Laura don't like each other in that way, so why should the characters that are based on them? I'm sort of elemental and adept... I have a very small bit of elemental ability, and as for my adept study- I manipulate blood. I'm mostly self-taught; I've never seen or heard of anyone with my ability. As of now, I can force platelets to clot, drain red blood cells of oxygen, and convince red blood cells to attack body cells. I can only affect small parts of blood at a time, though, and I need to take someone else's blood into my own body before I can control it. I'm working on expanding it- once I surge, I'll definitely stick with that. I'm only really using my elemental abities as a crutch, almost, to compene for the areas where blood control fails. (sorry this took me so long to post)
