And Tom isn't even FINISHED it yet...! There's going to be some colour stuff happening, and some cool silver effects added and things, but even as it stands now, this is a cover that's going to pop out at you on the bookshelf. For Tom is awesome.
Speaking of paperbacks, we're going to start gradually removing the short stories from the reprints, with the aim of collecting everything (including the Tanith novella) into one big book in the spring of 2014. There'll be lots of brand new stories in there as well, covering the entire series. So will we see a short story starring Mr Bliss, back when he was alive? Will we see Val and pre-Remnant Tanith fighting side by side once again? Will we even catch a glimpse of Skulduggery and the Dead Men at war with Mevolent...?
To be honest I haven't a clue. I'm just making things up as I go along.

I'm a little creeped out by the dark. It makes me see stuff. Makes me feel a little trapped too. The full moon illuminates the world without flanking out the stars. Also you can look at it without going blind unlike the sun. It makes everything a similar colour too. I love the moon.

I was so sad when a book trilogy I read finished. I was also all about Greek mythology. Those books are actually the best books I've read about it. Those books got me back into Greek Mythology.

They were nearer the middle of the scale than the first end of it, though. :P
Okay, they probably weren't that bad. But I was expecting them to be kind of similar to Gone (I mean, Gone is science fiction horror and it's set in a world with no adults) and the thing is, the book WAS similar to Gone, expect it was much CRAPPIER than Gone, so I think the book was probably alright in a way, but nothing can even compare with Gone so it fell down massively. :P

It was a realistic apocalypse book that threw in a sick twist that nobody has tried before. The fact that only people 15 and under didn't turn threw in the question of what if all the people who knew what they were doing turned against us. I have no idea what your requirements are for a "good book" but you need to rethink them.

My emotions are very limited to writing. If you tell me someone dies, I'll be like "Okay. Cool."
If you write it well, I'll be sobbing my eyes out.
Sometimes I feel bad about how I cry about fictional character's vans being lonely and not about children starving to death over in Africa, but I can't really help that.
And I don't think it really drew me into that, the book.
You never had any of the kids break down crying about their mums killing them, did you?
It's like with Alex Rider. I never really liked that series.
I liked The Enemy better than that, incidentally. :)
And some of it was good.

It didn't scare me, that book.
I read a book called Pure recently, and that scared me. I was afraid to touch anything in case I got fused to it, eyes wide, images flashing through my head, thinking I don't want that to happen.
It didn't emotionally affect me, The Enemy.
And maybe that's just me.
But it didn't.
You know the main problem? It started in the middle, a year down the line, when kids weren't scared.
When it got to the end of Gone . . . I didn't like the last book as much, and I think that was because everyone was so broken there wasn't much to do.
You kind of have to start breaking people.
No one was really broken.
And that's it, yeah.
They were just going along, you know?
It was an action book, and kids went out and fought and joined sides, but they weren't broken.
And that's probably most of what I missed.
