Sil: *shrugs at the silence, assuming they'll leave her alone for a bit for now*
*or that the poor sap can't think of a come back*
*leans back against her tree, not intending to leave*
((I'm eating food, and then I have to go to the bank, so Raeza will be delayed until I am done. Perhaps they waited a bit to see if Sil would get bored and leave or something.))
(I'll probably be asleep by then, sorry :/ but Sil would still be there, stubbornly stood outside her tree house.)
((Well, we'll have to continue tomorrow then. We'll have to try to coordinate as well, because Jonathan, Economical, and Savvy will be breaking in shortly. I'll take a nap when I get back so I can stay up later tonight when we'll all be online.))
*sighs* *well, he doesn't have much to do here, so he will go join his wife* *returns to the lab, and will go through her general portal, willing himself to appear where she is*
*Then he will, as Adra and Alek are being loaded into a large SUV on the other side of the park* *Theyre both tossed into the back rather haphazardly, and as Alastair appears by the blankets, the car will be wheeling away*
*oh* *he will run to Adra's car, then, and chase the one that she's just been thrown into*
*They will tear away quickly- and onto the highway, where the speeds quickly rise to 100 mph*
*someday, he decides, he will take driving lessons* *but for now he will match their speed and hope that he doesn't hit anyone*
*In the back of the car, Adra will stir a little bit, the car having gone over a harsh bump*
*The car spots a closing in space between two vehicles, and merges, boxing Alastair in, before returning to the fast lane, increasing their speed even more*
*swears internally* *he will just take the next opening he sees, then, even if it happens to be a very risky, unsafe opening*
*Then the SUV increases to upwards of 130, and spots a decent opportunity- a closing train stop, and speeds over the rails just as the train approaches to block the highway*
*swears out loud this time, and stops to wait for the train* *pulls out his phone, and calls Niccolò*
*a few moments later, Niccolò appears in the car, and dematerializes the whole thing- and they drive through the train* *Alastair will take the car about as fast as it can go to try to catch up*
*As soon as the car made the pass, they would have sped up as it would be possible to go, quickly swerving off a ramp into a maze of roads and buildings, at a horrendously reckless speed*
*they will just barely see it flying off the ramp, and swerve to make it onto the same ramp* *Alastair is following at an equally reckless speed, determined not to lose them completely*
*They will have pulled off quickly, and he will find their car, empty, outside of an abandoned building*
*yet another abandoned building* *of course* *Alastair steps out of the car, and will break the nearest window, assuming that there is one* *then he inhales, eyes closed, concentrating, and exhales halothane vapor into the building*
*There won't be a sound in there*
*Nothing*
*pauses, and looks back at Niccolò, who is just stepping out of the car*
*he nods, communicating with Alastair only in thought, and his eyes darken as he looks for Adra's name*
*He may find that her name is not anywhere in the building- nothing is in the building*
*oh* *then he will look around the surrounding area*
*Perhaps not there, either- and, if they notice, there would be scuff marks beside the SUV, where a brawl had occurred- a lot of the gravel has been shifted around and kicked up, including a large splatter of blood on some of it* *Not Adra's, though there are some small droplets occasionally that are hers*
*But most importantly, there are marks of tire tracks leaving back the way they all came*
*oh* *Alastair tries not to think much about the blood that is hers, and the two of them quickly follow after the tracks*
*The tracks will stop at the road, where the new car has presumably left a time earlier*
*takes a deep breath* *they'll find her*
*Niccolò mentally reaches out to Adra, trying to reach her by projecting thoughts*
*Unless there is a way to communicate when unconscious, that may not work- though it is possible that Alek could help*
*Or Alek might just freak out*
*well, if he can, he will very gently try to reach Alek- though he reaches out just with emotions first, because he thinks Alek will understand that* *he will let Alek know that they are worried, and want to help*
*Alek is very, very, scared- and he tries to convey that- and that the handcuffs that they have around him are very tight, and bite into his soft little skin* *He's crying, and they keep yelling at him*
*then he will gently try to send thoughts to Alek* Is it alright if I look at where you are?
*He will get a quiet affirmation from the little one* *They're almost 20 miles away, by now, outside town*
*then Niccolò will just briefly look through Alek's eyes, at what he is seeing- and he will teleport himself and Alastair there*

*Alek will see the back of the dark van- it is literally pitch black in there, as both he and Adra were stuffed into two separate burlap sacks, and thrown in the corner* *The van itself is still traveling at an outrageously fast pace, tearing through traffic at it's fastest*
*The moment they appear, though, the one sigils at in the car taps the symbols on the walls, sapping Niccolò and Alastair of their energy- a sensitive had been looking over their conversation* *There are three mages: the sensitive, the sigilist, and a Necromancer*
((Apparently so.))
*Alastair will just lunge at whichever one he can hear closest to him*
*That would be the Necromancer, who catches him, her legs rearing up quickly, and kicking him away with a crushing kick with her boots* *Hits a latch, the back doors swinging open, and she rolls to the tinier bag- Alek, dragging the string*
*In one move, she holds the bag outside the car, Alek's squeals and screams heard from inside as he struggles, the road traveling beneath him at 130 miles per hour*
*The Necromancer will watch the two men, eyeing them*
*Alastair's eyes darken, but he doesn't move*
*Niccolò, who had stayed closer to the bags from the beginning, jumps out of the car- aiming to take Alek with him*
*The moment she sees Niccolò move, she drops the bag off the side*
*As presumably Alastair is watching Alek, the sensitive lunges, a knife jabbing forward for between Alastair's ribs*
*he'll get stabbed, then- Alastair is definitely too distracted watching his son get thrown out of a car to notice that lunge* *but the moment he feels the knife, he will turn and trap the sensitive's arm in one motion, and throws a punch at their jaw* *if they manage to dodge that, he will grab their shoulder to hold them in place and throw a kick instead*
*that's fine- the moment he is out of the car, Niccolò will move the air around Alek and himself to soften their falls and move them off the road*
*The kick, then, hits the sensitive woman, but she will wildly swing out her arm, to trap his leg against her side* *And she will push, aiming to dislodge him from the car*
*Once safe on the ground, Alek will be screaming and wiggling in the bag, terrified*
*he keeps a tight hold on her- if he is thrown out of the car, she is coming with him* *and while he is attached to her, he leans forward quickly to bite hard into her neck, intending to rip away a chunk of flesh*
*Niccolò will get up and immediately move to comfort Alek, projecting soothing emotions towards him* *quickly unties the bag, and lifts the small boy out, to hold him*
*The woman screams, feeling the unexpected bite rip through her arteries, and immediately, a spray of blood goes around the back of the car like a hose*
*And in fifteen seconds she will be unconscious, and almost dead, and falls off the back*
*Meanwhile, Alek will still be crying, immediately latching onto his Uncle Niccy, his tiny arms tightly around the coat* *There is a small cut and a bruise on his face from where he was backhanded*
*he will eat the bit of skin he removed, just to intimidate the others, and backs himself up against the bag that holds Adra, so they can't get to it before he can get to them* *there is no humor in his tone or expression* Now, which of you wants to die next?
*hugs Alek gently, and pets his head, healing him* I am so sorry, Aleksander... You're safe now.
*The car will suddenly lurch as it goes off the highway, and up a steep steep hill- throwing the other two around the cabin- it is likely that Adra's bag will slide out, as will Alastair- there isn't anything to hold on to in the back of the car*
*But Adra in her bag will definitely roll out as the car ascends the rocky pathway, bouncing a lot as it goes*

*The tiny boy cries, and just hugs his Uncle, shaking from the fear* *He feels so much safer, though*
*once Adra's bag starts to move, as he is falling out, he will try to grab it and hold it- he wants to take the brunt of the impact, instead of her*
*Niccolò is glad he feels safer, and will continue to hold him* *he knows it will take a long time for him to calm down again, and just wants to help as much as he can*
*Then he may- but it is steep, and it will be likely that they will both land and roll a ways down the hill before stopping* *Inside the bag, the commotion was slowly bringing her to* *Once they land, though, she bites down from the jostle, ripping a hole in her tongue, and her shoulder dislocating, as long as her knee shattering on the ground* *So, so much pain, that she will momentarily black out again as they roll*

*Of course* *He is such an anxious little boy, and he will crawl into Niccolòat jacket with him, hiding like he usually does* *He just keeps trembling, weeping softly- he is scared for his mom*
*Alastair will have broken a few ribs, and a few other bones- he might have dislocated something, and that knife was certainly pushed further into him- and his head is bleeding quite a lot, he thinks* *but thinking seems to be getting harder with every passing moment*

It'll be alright, Aleksander- we will make sure she's safe. Let me bring you back home, and I'll check on her, alright? *he will teleport them back to Adra's lab, then*

(*has - for some bizarre reason - woken up at this somewhat ridiculous time and is also watching until I (hopefully) slip back into unconsciousness*)
[Raeza sighs]
[She doesn't really want to deal with this, but she sees the logic. She's the head of security, and she also doesn't have blood. Good combo to deal with vampires.]
[She steps through a library door, into a new treehouse (not one of the existing Bloglandian ones)]
[She peeks out the window of said treehouse]
Hey there!
Sil: *looks around until she zeros in on the treehouse in question*
Hi.
*smiles in a legitimately friendly manner*
[She returns the smile, though it may come off as a bit cautious[
I'm Raeza. Raeza Blayd.
[She is aware that her name sounds kind of stupid, however she's gotten beyond the point where she grimaces when introducing herself]
Sil: Nice name Raeza.
*I have no idea if I'm mentally pronouncing that correctly*
Take it as you're the person they've sent to get rid of me because I'm not letting you move or inhabit my treehouse?
[Jonathan sits next to the other two members of what he has fondly started calling the loser squad in the back of a plane. He quietly hums the mission impossible theme under his breath, staring out the window as clouds begin to drift by]
[though this may not necessarily be what he signed up for, it definitely looks like it's going to be fun. A bit of action is always a nice change from a desk job and a dying potted plant]
(Raeza Blayd is like razor blade.)
[Raeza shrugs]
I'm supposed to make sure you're not a threat to us.
[She is actually wondering if that has to involve kicking her out]
[Savvy is very excited about jumping out of a plane]
[Economical seems to be the odd one out here] [He'd prefer the desk job, though he likes to make sure his potted plants look all neat and tidy]
(Ahhhhh okay :)
Sil: Leave me and my treehouse alone and I'll be sure to stay out of your business.
*shrugs*
It's basically as simple as that.
Raeza: Well, we're not taking the shield down. And your beating up the camera did reduce the likelihood of a peaceful agreement.
However, I'm not using your treehouse specifically. I'm mostly using that one there, and the new one I just put up in that tree.
So, if I can be sure you won't mess with our plans, I'm sure we can work something out.
Sil: The camera was on my residence, I had every right to remove it.
And I'm sure that I have no intention of messing with your plans. Of course if your plan is to enslave the people here then of course I have issues with that. If it's something else that I could be okay with it. It all depends on you, you see?
[sighing, Jon stretches his arms up above his head, dropping one around Economical's shoulders once he feels his back pop] You're looking a little nervous there, mate. It'll be fine. I've done this loads of times back in Aus. Well, once.... Without a parachute... and it wasn't really a plane so much as a high fence... but, I mean, it's basically the same thing. Kind of.
But, uh... Look, I'm not gonna lie, I'm not really that good at the whole... reassuring thing. But you'll be fine. The three amigos, we are. [at this, he drops his other arm around Savvy's shoulder too] Wouldn't be quite the same with only two of us.
Raeza: As far as we were aware, there were no "people here." So no, enslaving them is not our plan, not in the slightest.
As for the camera, I'm sure George would have preferred if you'd gently removed it and set it on a velvet cushion. It matters a little less to me. I can fix it rather easily. However, I believe if you had been less...aggressive, I'd have been sent to recruit you, rather than evict you.
[She personally found the way Sil smiled at the camera and then smashed it rather amusing]
Sil: Agression tends to get the point across better that velvet cushions, especially when you look like a child.
*tilts head*
Although I'm intrigued as to what you're recruiting people FOR. And who would recruit a vampire when so many others would rather run the other way or grab a saltwater hose pipe. Then again your friend did threaten me with sprinklers.
[Economical blinks] [There is an arm touching his shoulder] [He is not used to these sorts of gestures] [But he appreciates it a lot]
[Savvy grins] You got this dude. And Jon will be going with you, so you'll have back-up.
Raeza: Well, George is the sort of person who gets the point better when it's a poshly-presented point. He wasn't sure how to insult you, so he had to ask Spectrum to give him a list of insult words. I'm sure he's aware that sprinklers aren't really practical, at least not salt-water ones.
[She laughs]
[She stops and sizes up Silente]
How do you feel about the Sanctuary?
[Jon nods, a very serious expression on his face as he withdraws both his arms and places a hand over his heart] I would never let anything happen to my dear new buddy Eco. Can I call you that? Or do you prefer the whole name?
[as he finishes talking, the voice of the pilot calls out from the front - their jump point will be coming up soon, they should get ready]
Sil: Did Spectrum know that pizza shit isn't usually used as an insult? I've never been called a pizza before I must say.
The Sanctuary? Which one, there are a lot of those.
*sounds just the tiniest bit irritated*
[Economical is always called by his whole name] [Nicknames are a friend thing and he doesn't usually have friends] E-Eco is great.

[Raeza laughs] Spectrum's note said "piece of shit." George just failed at insulting.
[she shrugs]
Most of the members have grudges against one Sanctuary official or another, and they're trying to work together to take over the government. So, basically all of the Sanctuaries.
Sil: Ahhh. That explains it.
*purses her lips very slightly*
*its true that she doesn't like a lot of the sanctuaries, but that doesn't mean she wants them under new and more forceful management*
*how are criminals like her meant to get by then*
*plus it's fun to frazzle Zaf and attack her sanctuary*
I think the sanctuaries are corrupt in quite a few situations. They could be better and they could be worse.
[Jon grins again, standing to make sure everything is set up correctly on the parachute pack he was given] Eco it is. Stand up and I'll strap you in. Sav, do you want to jump first, or should we?
Raeza: They could be a lot better. I never had a chance to work for one because of my family connections. Too many people remembered my mother from the war and held her actions against me. They never told me to my face that I wasn't welcome, but they also didn't need to.
[She sees that Sil is maybe not on board with the plan, but she very much hopes she's mistaken]
[She doesn't want to have to kick Sil out.]

[Economical stands] O-okay. I. Am. Do. Ing. This.
Savvy: I'll go first. [She checks her parachute and then jumps] Yeaaah dude!

[Raeza sees someone falling out of the sky yelling "yeah dude."]
[What]
[Jon laughs quietly, securing Economical tightly and checking the join a few times before guiding them over to the door] You'll be fine, I promise. We'll jump on three, yeah?
[he readies them on the edge] 1... 2... 3!
[he pushes them forward, grinning as the air rushes by]
Sil: Well that's just bull. They were your mothers actions, not yours. And unless she cursed you so that you'll just make a really corrupt government then they can't keep you out.
*leans back against the tree, thinking*
*on one hand she's a criminal, she needs to wait for Beth and Claire, she likes Zafs sanctuary and she doesn't need another crime next to her name if these guys fail*
*on the other hand it would be quite nice to have a somewhat clean slate if these guys get into power, and to have her foot in the door*

[Economical clings to Jon in an effort to not die]

Raeza: We can arrange a place for you. I'm guessing you're not the sort who typically fits in at the Sanctuary either.
[she stops as Savvy lands]

Savvy: Hi. I'm Savvy Gray, nice to meet you.
Sil: *smiles very slightly*
You can say that again. I'm look like a child and people generally don't like the idea of a vampire being anywhere near a position of actual worth.
*looks at Savvy*
Hi. Nice jump?
[Jon chuckles as the parachute puffs out behind them and they slowly drift to the ground, landing near the others]
[he detaches the parachute and unclips Economical, grinning like an idiot] well, that was fun.
[Savvy nods] Sorry to butt in, but yeah man, I get that. There are plenty of people out there who feel the same way about turquoise-haired lesbians. I have my music to vent about it though. It's great! We've got a new single called "Wreckage," and it sounds like a break-up song, but it's actually about political corruption.
[Economical is grinning as well] [That was a lot more fun than he expected, not that he's eager to repeat it] I... I'm not dead.
[Raeza considers] [She thinks she could probably get Savvy on their side, but she isn't sure of the other two] [There are too many of them]
[The newcomers are definitely Sanctuary people, too]
Sil: *is intrigued as to how Raeza will deal with the new people*
*leans back, quite content to just watch, but she also wants to continue her conversation*
Is there a reason you three have just crashed into the middle of our conversation or are you just wanting to advertise your music and go?
*that sweet smile is back, the bitter sweet one*
[Jonathan pats Eco on the back, pausing after a moment and looking off into the distance in thought before shrugging and tugging him into a hug] I told you you;d be fine.
[he pulls away after a moment, winks, and strolls over to Sil and Raeza] Hey there, ladies. I'm Jonathan Icarus and my not-dead friend over there is Economical. How're you doing?
[Economical returns the hug a bit awkwardly] Th-thank you.
[Savvy remembers why she was supposed to leave most of the talking to the other two] Sorry, dude.
[Raeza sighs] Hello Savvy Gray, Jonathan Icarus, Economical. I suppose you're the interrogation team?
Sil: *looks between the three*
*decides that Eco looks the most twitchy*
*hearting this many thundering heartbeats at once is hurting her brain.. She hasn't been around people in a while*
*grins at Eco broadly, deciding to side with Raeza if only to make the numbers fair*
Well, I wouldn't say interrogation. Think of us as more... nosey citizens. Worry has been expressed, and we're just here to check up on things. Make sure everyone is safe. [he smiles, then glances over at Sil] Excuse me, miss, but would you mind not looking at my friend like that? He's not use to a lot of adventure. I think this may all be a bit much for him.
[Economical pulls out a notepad and pen and studies Sil, making a few notes] [It's mostly for show] [Sometimes note-taking unnerves people] [Also it makes him feel less awkward while being stared at funny]
Raeza: Well, as you can see, everyone is very safe. My colleague, George, was rather... cold towards some people, so I decided to take over for a bit and smooth things out.
[Economical appreciates that Jon thought of him] [He decides that if he ever has to face a dangerous situation with exactly one other person, he'd feel safest with Jon]
Sil: *frowns at the notes*
*she doesn't like notes when they're taken by sanctuary officials*
*few criminals do*
Everything is fine here.
*smiles in a friendly way*
Now while usually I would welcome all three of you with open arms *and jaws* someone should tell you that this land doesn't legally belong to any country and so you don't have legal jurisdiction over it, so really there's little point in you having come here.
Would we perhaps be able to take this somewhere to discuss matters? I'm sure we all have some questions, and it'd be a lot easier to answer them in a less open setting.

[Economical is actually guesstimating the dimensions of Sil's head so he can draw a nice little sketch later, but he lets her think they're official notes because he knows that note-taking can actually totally be a powerful weapon]
We heard that there were some some p-problems between some people and the people who who live here. We're j-just here to make sure n-no one is at at risk.
Sil: Don't worry little mouse. The locals and the new people have set up some meetings and it's all going to be handled in a civil, organised manner.
*she doesn't actually realise that any meetings have been set up, she's just saying what she thinks will get rid of the sanctuary people before she loses her grip on her control*
*she'd forgotten how tempting small weaklings were*
*they basically scream prey*
[Jon frowns and takes an unconscious step in front of Eco] We just want to talk.
Sil: *looks at Jon*
*if anything him standing in the way just makes her grin more*
*she does love a fight*
Well you've talked, it was nice.
We're just trying to be civil here, please.
Sil: *grunts and leans against the tree*
Right. Talk and leave.
*Were Adra outside the bag, she would have given him her philosopher's stone, which is already emitting a soft glow*

*Alek curls his thick little fingers around Niccolò's coat collar, and curls up against his chest* Okay
*reaches up and pulls a little bit on the string, but he really has no idea if he is getting her out or just making it worse* *tugs for a few seconds, before his hand falls away* *he just doesn't have the awareness to do any more*

*a copy of him steps away from the first- he doesn't want to leave Alek alone- and teleports to the surroundings that Alastair is currently seeing* *he will untie the bag that Adra is in if Alastair has failed to do so*
*He wouldn't have, though the moment Niccolò opens it, she wiggles her ring off her finger and places it in her husband's hand*
*But then she kinda sinks to the bottom of the bag, limp, exhausted, bloody- lots of blood coming from her ripped tongue, down her throat and shirt*

*Of course* *Little Alek gently projects his fear for his parents to his Uncle Niccolò, and gently burrows her head against the elder's chest*
*Niccolò will heal Adra first, since Alastair has the stone now, and lends her some of his energy* Do you know who those people were?

*sends reassurance back to him* They will be alright. I'll bring them back to you soon.
*She shakes her head a little bit, wincing as her bones re-form, her tongue regenerates, and her arm pops back into its socket* *Shakes her head* I was in a bag for a lot of the time..

*Alek just cries, getting tears all over Niccolò's shirt, then wipes his little nose on it* *He is just so, so worried and frightened that he sits in his Uncle's lap, hiding under the coat*
(Yo yo yo)

*nods* I'm sorry... *once all her major injuries are gone, he will begin to heal Alastair*

*pets his head, and just continues to send soft reassurances*

*stands up*
I'll go pay, one second.
*walks to the counter, paying for the food and drink and tipping them too*
*walks back to Suki, offering his hand*

Suki: *stabds up by herself*

Val: *awkwardly puts his hand back down then*
*gently takes her hand, taking his item and using it to get them back to earth, just outside the house*
*in the rain*

*uses his wing to shield her, gently pushing her to the door*

Suki: *enters the house*
Val: *walks in behind her, pulling the door closed quickly*
*shivers*
So cold.. Hey I can look after the kid for a bit of you need to rest?

Val: Of course! You go rest. How much of a handful can one lad be, hmm?
*smiles at her*
You go rest. I'll get Xander and keep an eye on him.
Suki: oksy... *goes to bed*
Val: *goes and finds Xander*
*picks him up, holding him carefully*
Hey little man. Mummies gone to rest so I'm keeping an eye on you.
Xan: *looks up at him with beautiful blue eyes and babbles*

*tickles his belly gently*

*Adra shrugs, in an "it happens" kind of way- and gently takes her husband's hand, holding it in her lap* *It hurts her so much to see him like this, and it breaks her to know that he let himself be hurt so that he could protect her* *Just keeps holding his hand, worried as all Hell*

*Alek's little belly will grumble, eventually- he never got the opportunity to eat*
Xan: *whimpers and let's off a bad smell*
Val: *wrinkles his nose slightly*
Come on little guy, really? Couldn't wait till mummy woke up could you.
*sighs and takes him to the changing station they set up in the nursery*
*starts sorting out his nappy, throwing the old one away and cleaning the little guy*
*adds the talc and slides a new nappy under him*
Xan: *cries and pees on him*
Val: Ewwy!
*cringes at the fact he now has pee all over him*
Gee. Thanks.
*sighs, closing up his nappy and making sure it's on properly*
*grabs some baby wipes and cleans himself as best he can*
*takes off his pee splattered shirt, throwing it in the laundry basket*
*picks up Xan, bouncing him gently*
*Alastair squeezes her hand, and smiles faintly* I'm alright, love. *Niccolò is healing him quickly*

Suki: *runs in* what's happening?

Val: Nothing, nothing! It's okay.

Oh that's a lot of bubbles.. Um..
*scoops up some of the bubbles, putting them in the sink and turning the tap on to try dissolve them*
*does this until there's a reasonable amount and he's covered head to toe in bubble remnants*
*walks out to Suki*
Baths ready!
Suki: *puts Xan in his cot and goes to the bedroom*
Of course. *then Niccolò will teleport the three of them back to the lab, then* I'll go activate the sigils to keep intruders from coming in- my other is looking after Aleksander.
*offeds the sandwich to the little boy* They're back now- I'll bring you to them, alright?

*bounces him gently*

Wolf: *since she's breathing he just carefully sits her up, supporting her with an arm around her chest, gently pounding on her back*
*trying to make her cough up the water*

*runs ahead and stands in front of him*

Val: Suki I'm sorry.. I just wanted to say that I didn't mean to nearly have you killed.. Is Xander okay?

Suki: n now he is
Wolf: He hurt you C-Chris. He nearly broke us b-both up..

Val: Good.. are you okay..?
Chris: the woman he loved was dead wolf, she's back now
Suki: *doesnt answer*
Wolf: and he nearly put her in an earl-ly grave again.
*his eyes plead with Chris to understand*
Val: *sighs very bery quietly, she might not even hear, and rests his head against the door*
*walks off and comes back with the blanket and the book from earlier*
*sits in front of her door, blanket around himself*
