Star Inkbright said...

Paracetamol is good.

You can also take two paracetamol and two ibuprofen at the same time because they work differently, but I wouldn't do that for a slight headache . . .
Catherine usually has paracetamol and ibuprofen and usually aspirin on her . . . she's like a walking painkiller factory.

@Keiron: If you say so. :)

:/ :/

Star Inkbright said...

Alright, I might be staying here really late tonight, or I might not. We'll see how stuff goes.

Dragona Pine said...

Well, tbh I think that I'll be here most of the time anyway.

Star Inkbright said...

Lizzie's so tired she's practically falling unconscious but she can't sleep.

I'm not sure if there's any point telling her to see a doctor. She never sees a doctor when I tell her to. Which is usually once every few weeks. At least once every few months.

Star Inkbright said...

@Dragona: :)

Dragona Pine said...

Eh you should keep trying it doesn't sound good. :/

Star Inkbright said...

@Dragona: She NEVER sees a doctor, though. One time she kept bleeding all out her eyes and ears adn stuff and she didn't see a doctor. And then she had some glass in her foot adn she wouldn't see a doctor but she coudln't get it out of her foot, and like, after a while she got a knife and started cutting her foot open to get it out,a nd she was just swearing and swearing because it hurt so much. And then she said she thought it wasn't fully out, and we were like "yeah it will be," and she cut open her foot againa dn got more glass out but she still didn't think it was all out. And she was going around for two weeks with glass in her foot efore she got her knife out again and cut really deep into her foot past the skin that had healed in the two weeks and finally got it out.
And when her brother hurt her bad shoulder and kinda broke it again and it was hanging at a funny angle she didn't see a doctor either.
Her seeing a doctor because she can't sleep is just not gonna happen. It's not like sleep was ever a priority for her.
(And apparently she CAN get to sleep, but she just has this vivid dream and she opens a cupboard and this thing jumps out at her adn she flails out at it and it wakes her up).

(My mum thinks I exaggerate when I talk about all this stuff that happens to Lizzie. The truth is that Lizzie's life is just a sit com.)

Star Inkbright said...

*thinks she exaggerates

She doesn't think I exaggerate.

Dragona Pine said...

Ow like... why doesn't she go to the doctors?

Star Inkbright said...

@Dragona: Idk.
Maybe because of her parents. Apparently she kept going in and saying "Mum, my arm's hanging at a funny angle. It's kind of worrying me," and her mum was like "It'll be fine," and "Eh . . . do I HAVE to take you to the doctor's? I can't be botehred."

*shrugs*

(Although I'm always SLIGHTLY wary in case she makes things up or exaggerates. I've never seen any proof that she does, but I imagine if she WERE to lie to me, she'd be very good at it. She's told me she's lied to me, as well, and says I have no idea of how much I know is actually the truth. And I believe her, knowing her. So y'know - I don't trust her 100%, but I maybe trust her 80%, partially because her life is insane enough that however insane something she says sounds it sounds realistic considering what her life's like. And I have SEEN her mystery rash and the metals the doctors strapped to her back to see if any of them caused it, and her scars from her foot injuries, and her randomly falling asleep whilst walking along, and I've seen pictures of her weapons, and I've witnessed her predict the future before it happens, and stuff. So yeah. Just warning you.)

Dragona Pine said...

That isn't good. :/ Why are her parents being like that? It isn't fair. :/

Star Inkbright said...

@Dragona: I don't know. -_-
I think her whole family is as accident-prone as her, though. So they're probably just used to everyone falling apart all over the place and hence have got a bit desensitized.

Dragona Pine said...

I really don't think it's fair, a bit like your parents deciding your religion when you can't decide for yourself. :/

Star Inkbright said...

It's like how when Dan first appeared, everyone was like "DAN you can't just shoot people when they annoy you!!!!! :o" and now they're like "ah, dan being dan again. do you want that gunshot healing?"

Star Inkbright said...

@Dragona: *shrugs*
I take a few issues with their parenting, tbh. But I have learnt in life that my parents are basically the best parents in the universe and that everyone else's parents will be inevitably inferior*, so y'know, taking issues with her parents' parenting feels like it's only to be expected.

*no offense to anyone's parents; I realise this won't be true for everyone. it's just a general rule I've noticied in life

Star Inkbright said...

My mum's a youth worker and she's worked with a LOT of teenagers throughout the years, and she's told me that people's parents are basically the determiner of how happy they are - if you have a good life at home, you're basically okay (general rule. Obviously, if you're being bullied or something, that changes the game).

And my personal experience totally backs that theory of hers up.

This is basically the reason why I am happier than the majority of people I know; because I have better parents than the majority of people I know.

This is a serious problem in the world, y'know?

. . .
Anyway, I think that's enough rantings and deep speeches for today. C:

Star Inkbright said...

*it's not always the parents themselves - it can also be siblings and like whether your parents are having problems with each other and stuff.

Dragona Pine said...

I kind of think there should be a test to be a pet and a child owner tbh. CHILD OWNER XD LIKE WHAT I MEANT PARENT

Mary Contrary said...

Hello.

@Dragona: Understood, but you couldn't exactly prevent people from getting pregnant, however they did in that test.

Mary Contrary said...

*appears out of nowhere and smoothly invades other people's conversations*

Star Inkbright said...

@Dragona: Yeah, I did completely agree with you a few months back, but then I realised "Huh, but then only people approved by the government could be parents." And like - you would only be allowed to be a parent if you fit the government-approved model. And that really doesn't sound good, because not only will have have lots of quirky cool GOOD PARENT individuals who won't be allowed to have kids, you would allow the government to grow only citizens that support them, and y'know.

So there's really no good solution.

@Taia: Better birth control needs to be developed. .-. I mean, it just needs to ordinarily. Then you'd stick an implant in everyone's arm as soon as they were born or as soon as they hit a certain age or whatever, and then only when you passed the parenting test would you get your implant taken out.

Fabi S. - Fashion-Conscious Fire Wraith said...

I think tests for adopting children should exist, if they don't already. However, as Taia said, you can't really stop people from getting pregnant, so testing everyone doesn't seem feasible.

Also--I MANAGED TO PUT MY HAIR UP SINGLEHANDEDLY. (I mean literally single-handedly.) I feel so much better being able to do that. Having to get my sister to do it has been really annoying. She's not that good with curly hair, though that's quite excusable. She doesn't have it.

I'm feeling overly pleased with myself just now.

Fabi S. - Fashion-Conscious Fire Wraith said...

@Star I believe that choosing whether or not to have kids is a personal matter, not one the government should be involved in.

That is also the main reason why I am against anti-abortion laws.

I do think that people who aren't safe around kids shouldn't be allowed to have them, but the arm-implant idea really doesn't work for me. At all. I can't suggest anything better though... :-/

Star Inkbright said...

Has anyone heard that remix of Ed Sheeran's Photograph?

Can we all agree that that remix is one of the worst atrocities mankind has ever developed?

Hang on, I'll find 'em.

Original:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xr3OmKy2ZFc

Remix (I think this is the right one!):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eay9Ouw1jas

Just
why
THE FUCK
would you take that beautiful song and turn it into this shitty generic pop song???

When Cat was first ranting about this remix I was like "meh" because she's a big Ed Sheeran fan and I'm kinda not so I was like "eh, it won't be that bad" but the remix came on the in the car today and I was like "WHAT THE FUCK. WHO THE FUCK THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA. WHAT THE FUCK. WHAAAAAAAAAAT."

Star Inkbright said...

@Lantern: YAAAAAAAAAAY! :)
*hugs*

*can braley manage to put my hair up with two hands XD My sister did my hair for me today and it looks really pretty. She's been staring at my head in a progress-evaluating way all day, haha*

I'm not so sure that I think having kids should be a personal matter, but I just don't think the government should make the decision. So I'm just like "eh. Meh. Life sucks. Eh." :P

Jai (Silente Tempest - St Of Sinners) said...

Ashlea: Its fine Leri.. I'm all clean now..

Fabi S. - Fashion-Conscious Fire Wraith said...

Yeah, the remix is really bad.

[hugs back]

Well if not the person and not the government, then who?

There are a couple of cases where I would disagree with it being personal (like if the child's health was at risk with his/her parents), but in general, I do think it should be personal in general.

Fabi S. - Fashion-Conscious Fire Wraith said...

[hugs Jai]

Jai (Silente Tempest - St Of Sinners) said...

(*hugs Fabi back*)

Onwa: I do. Very much so.

James: *speeds up, using his shirt to dry his top half*

Because I don't want to? I mean.. they don't need to suffer and die for me?

Manuel: I am sure I will be fine.

Star Inkbright said...

@Lantern: Yeah. -_-

Exactly. That's my problem. I don't know. So I guess you stick with the person.

But either way we need better birth control. And abortion access. Because bringing up unwanted kids is just y'know not really good for the kid. I've read plenty of threads about abortion on AVEN, and I've been truly shocked at how bad the sex education is at many schools in America, and abortions appear to be really hard to access in many states in America too, and you generally haev to pay quite a bit of money for birth control over tehre too . . .
Whereas I don't know about abortion round here, but our sex ed seems pretty okay, and the school nurses are like "oh and if you need to get condoms or the morning after pill you can find me at this room at this time and we'll give you it for free" and then birth control is totally free and I'm just like "Fucking hell I'm so grateful for the NHS."

. . .
Mmh, yeah, I also read threads on abortion and suchlike on a pretty regular basis and am slowly growing desensitized to conevrsations of this nature. I've mostly stopped consciously realising the awkwardness now. :P Sorry.

*joins Lantern in hugging Jai*

Commander Sophia Keating (N7 Operative and Council Spectre) said...

(I do believe that there should be a test to own a pet, but parenting less so. It would be horribly impractical and not worth attempting. At least with pets you could create some form of license.)

Liliana: Should we buy it?

Isabelle: What are you doing?

Bethany: Okay... But I'm not happy...

Lily: ... Will you eat anything?

Star Inkbright said...

@Sophia: Mmh.

Hello. :)

Star Inkbright said...

Errrr no one's on WhatsApp so I may go to sleep soon.

Jai (Silente Tempest - St Of Sinners) said...

(*whimpers and curls up*)

Onwa: yes, I believe we should.

James: walking.

*kisses her cheek gently*

Manuel: within reason, yes.

Star Inkbright said...

:/ *continues to hug Jaimie*

Mary Contrary said...

@Star: That's a good point, about the government deciding that.

Idk with the implanting. I feel a bit like... I don't know if that's right. Like, yeah, the world might be a nicer place and people ideally would grow up with nicer parents, but... It's a bit... Orwell? Like... It's 1984 and the law is discouraging people from thinking and making decisions and learning & developing a moral sense of right and wrong, building general common sense. You're removing free will and probably denying some basic human rights?
And by going, okay well you can't get knocked up ever unless we say you're a nice enough person.... That's like, just giving people an excuse to not be nice. Like 'yeah I'm a very not nice person, but I don't want kids' and they can go on to be not nice people around their family's kids or something. But it's a bit like... 'Well, they can't be bad parents now, because they can't be parents', and then there's no incentive to stop people from being that kind of person? I don't know if that makes sense.
And what about people unsafely trying to remove their implants, because they wouldn't let them have a child legally?

This is an episode of Star Trek where there are these two planets who have been at war with each other for centuries. And because they advanced technologically, by now they've turned their war into digital warfare, kind of. And they just say, 'our move was blowing up this hospital', and the planet's own leadership demolishes the hospital and has all the people inside at the time executed. And everyone is prepared to give up their life and they're just used to it, and there's none of the horrible conditions and physical terror and PTSD of real war and it's great because nobody is really hurt.
But then you get the point brought up that... Without those horrors of war, if everyone just blindly accepts that they're going to get blown up and walk willingly to their painless execution when asked to-- where is the incentive to /end/ your war? People just keep on dying and nobody cares, and nobody hates the war and so they just carry on for centuries and probably forever, people's own governments blowing them up. You're never going to solve whatever problem it is your war was started over, you never get what you wanted and the war itself /literally/ becomes futile.
And is it more right to give people the freedom to say-- no, no, really the freedom to THINK - 'we don't want to die anymore'?

(Side announcement: I love Star Trek. :)
Also OH MY GOSH IT'S RAINING REALLY HEAVILY AND :) :) :))

I don't know how I'd do it differently, though. I have no idea. Maybe improve social services and social care, and... instead facilitating people's unpleasantness, idk, give them a better understanding of how to treat people, kind of. Like... If your parents never took you to see doctors for whatever reason, you might be less likely to take your own kid to see a doctor, because that's what you know? Have social services @your parents like 'hey your kid should go to hospital they have a knife wound in their back, that could get infected, woah' and then maybe you won't have that problem as much. Or something. I don't know.

The rain is lighter now. :) I mean, still heavy, but you can hear other things now. :P

Star Inkbright said...

@Taia: Exactly. Parents pass on their mistakes to kids who then pass them on to their kids.
(I read a poem about that in English, actually. It was really depressing and had swearing in it. Why would you share us poems with swearing in, sir? It's not the swearing I object to, it's the fact it gets real awkward adn people just giggle adn like . . . why not just find another one? :P)

Idk . . . I think a better idea is that you should automatically get your implant and then if you ever want kids, you can go adn get it turned off for free and without anyone objecting or reviewing you. That just seems like the best idea, to me. Because then if you want kids you can have kids, and if you don't want kids, you'll never get accidentally pregnant, y'know?

(In theory. I imagine there would be a few blips in practise, but probably less blips that what we have now).

BUt of course, you couldn't implement that rn because I'm not sure you could implement an implant that didn't haev side effects.

And of course people would object, I guess. *frowns*

:) That Star Trek episode sounds great. :)

Star Inkbright said...

I think I should probably depart now, because I'm tired. :( :( Bye, lovely people.

Mary Contrary said...

WHOOPS I GOt carried away with that, sorry. :P

@Fabi: WOAH I couldn't do that. Nice! :) :) :)
*agrees with everything that Fabi said there, actually* *nodding*

@Star: :0
I don't think my school had very good sex ed. :S
Ours, I'm pretty sure don't have the 'if you need birth control come see our nurse'. I wouldn't even recognise our school nurse. I have no idea who that would be. O_O
Apparently we have counsellors in school, too - but I never knew until this year when somebody's sister had to go see one.

But yeah, NHS for sure. :)

Mary Contrary said...

*hugs Jai* :(

@Star:... *nods*
:P
That... Does sound like a better idea, though. :)
*nods more, agreeingly*
*laughs* I've only seen tha episode once, so I don't remember what actually happens. Usually, though, the ones that are so clearly and openly tackling a question like that are not so great entertainment-wise, but very good food-for-thought-wise. *nods* :)

(I am not entirely sure why, but I enjoy the Shrek film - the first one - quite a lot.)

Liliana: Good. I would ask how much it would cost, but earth money means absolutely nothing to me.

Isabelle: *she matches his walking speed* Then slow down so I can come with you.

Bethany: *she shakes her head* I haven't finished my peppers or my wine. I want to finish the bottle at least because you wanted to see me... drunk.

Lily: Is that it? That sounds something similar to what I would eat, not the meals of humans...

Jai (Silente Tempest - St Of Sinners) said...

(*chuckles and cuddles Sophi* adorable little weirdo. *cuddles close* *will suddenly disappear*)

I think you're already drunk darling.

What more do you expect? That is what I require for a balanced diet, plus the protein shakes.

Commander Sophia Keating (N7 Operative and Council Spectre) said...

(*she cuddles Jaimie back* I am definitely not adorable - it is simply a good film.)

Liliana: Out of curiosity, how much does it cost?

Isabelle: I do not understand why you are angry with me.

Lily: But eating is a pleasure for humans.

Star Inkbright said...

@Fera: Errrr . . . WhatsApped. XD
I also went to town and saw Ant-Man. It was awesome. :P One of the funnier Marvel films.

What've you done? :)

:) Thanks for the warning. :)

Feraaaa32 said...

I talked to gem and keiron, then went to shopping and got a new pair of shoes and jeans...than, came back and yeah that's it ^_^ no problem :)

Star Inkbright said...

@Fera: Cool. :) :)

Feraaaa32 said...

i got one of those shoes that have really hard soles, because i need it for dancing and animation requires being able to focus your weight on any point on the body ^_^ :)

Feraaaa32 said...

well at least the footwork bit does :p

Star Inkbright said...

@Fera: Awesome. ::) :)

Feraaaa32 said...

:) :) :) would you be so kind as to show me a picture of you, please, if you're ok with it? :P sorry, i am a "bit" random XD ^_^

Star Inkbright said...

@Fera: XD Why?

I'm okay with it. Let me, like, go change my profile picture, and like, see if I actually have a picture of me on my device.

Star Inkbright said...

Hmm. The last selfie I took, I had pretty wet hair. :P
(I'd just walked home in the rain. Omg. Love walking in the rain when it's not cold.)
THat might do . . .

Feraaaa32 said...

idk, so i have a better idea of how a convo in real life would go? :p as i said i am a "bit" random :D :)

Feraaaa32 said...

yeah, that would do ^_^

Star Inkbright said...

@Fera: Oh, well. A convo in real life between us would probably involve me saying "Okay" repeatedly (I often do that when I meet new people) and struggling to do that actual social interaction thing. :P

Oh. Hey. Got the selfie I took for Jai. Er. Editing. Cropping. Thing.

Feraaaa32 said...

heh, maybe we'll find out sometime in the future, i mean i live in england too and i am up for meeting new people, especially people who i've talked through messages but haven't met :P :)

Star Inkbright said...

@Fera: :) Yeah. Meeting online friends is cool . . . :P

But seriously. I would probably say 'okay' a lot. And mgith freak out like "OMG I'm meeting Fera IN REAL LIFE." And like - I do better at talking online, in general. :P

Sorry for fuzziness of image. Was originally full length.

Star Inkbright said...

@Fera: XD Yup.

Yeah. I often get reminded of people by people. :P

Kingston Upon Hull, East Yorkshire. :)
(well . . . not in the city itself, but pretty close. I live in one of the outlying villages, to borrow a phrase from BBC Merlin.)

(Going to sleep pretty soon. Sorry. Msd.)

Star Inkbright said...

Me, Dragona, Sophia, Jai and Luciana (she's an old Bloglandian) are all from Yorkshire.
Most of the English Bloglandians seem to be from Yorkshire or Wales, I swear. XD

Feraaaa32 said...

hehe, we're only 130 miles apart then :P :) ok, have sweet dreams and a goodnight ^_^ *hugs*

Star Inkbright said...

She laid on the bed as another shiver went through her form. Without all of her weight, she had no warmth to keep her comfortable. Her eyes were sallow: shoulders bony,, ribs sharp. She had been depriving herself for months, and she was utterly starved of nutrition, happiness, and life. The slow way to death is perhaps the most difficult way- however, in the end, it will be the least painful. Her heart is weak already, and stutters often. It beats s l o w l y.

She has eaten a banana in the last few days.
Tonight she will asphyxiate herself. She will place her head in a bag, and wait. Slowly- in and out- breathe her carbon dioxide until she sleeps.

Content.

Safe.

Resting in peace.

I regret to be the bearer of bad news, but I am not aware if this news is old and unknown to you:

I was emailing an old friend, one that suggested this site, and no sooner did I send the email, I got a reply.

"yeah, uh, im not okay. like, really not okay. sorry. but i wont ever be able to reply. because its kinda hard to reply to things when youre six feet under...

sorry"

I am currently unaware as to if this is fake or not, but no matter how many messages I have sent to Dannielle - I can not remember what she called herself on here, sorry - I can not get a reply. I have called her, her parents, and have not got any sort of answer. I am going to her house tomorrow to see if she is alright and I will inform you as to the facts. Dannielle has played these jokes on me before, but not to this extent...

I am sorry in advance if she has really gone...

Tanya Halcyon (Kas) said...

Noelle... Please, don't do that. Please don't.

@Mémoire that's an automatic response. She hasn't sent a real reply for over a month now. Please, email me after you visit her.
