Well today is a good day, Demon Road is the new book, and we now have a snow day. It's so icy here my dad took over an hour and a half to get to work this morning and its only a half hour drive. They didn't treat our roads and it's icing still...oh and tonight into tomorrow expecting 3-6 inches of snow!
Wow. I was expecting that. You know, since being on the run by demons across America, etc. But I'm guessing the rework means there's now an actual road or route that serves a purpose. It's no longer just running randomly. There's now a destination, a journey...

I'm American too and believe me, I think it is only fair to have it published here if it takes place here. Then again...HC seems to believe Americans aren't worth their time. I just really want to feel like an actual fan and be able to go to a store for a signing and experience that! Buying the book from Barnes and Noble and not getting weird glances from store employees. People who don't live in America don't know the pain, it's like it's teasing us from Ireland/England and Australia and New Zealand.
Maybe this trilology will be the time the Ameriminions can feel part of the fanbase and not like outsiders. I just want to see others over here experience what the UK and Down Under people had chances to experience.
It's very unfortunate that Americans seem to be hated by Derek. (Not my opinion, nor one of anyone on the Blog.)
But yeah, to most people seeing Zafira killed in TDOTL (spoilers!) is a case of "Heh, I'm evil Derek, don't like Americans so I'll kill your leader just because."
Yeah that sort of pissed me off, because some Brits and Irish survived but Americans all died? I mean everyone knows Zaf isn't stupid enough to do what she did especially if she had ENEMIES in her Sanctuary. Though I just am determined to say that it's the reflection, because that's what Zaf would do, she isn't stupid enough to seriously go down there as herself. She'd be doing what was needed, not down by a creature that could eat her.
I'm just saying it really upsets me that because I'm American I couldn't even say I survived TDOTL. I only ever wanted to be known for leading America, not dying a few weeks or months into that...
My grandpa said the same thing about the nuclear stuff. And my dad told me a way to help clear the possible radiation from my skin.
Luckily, I was far enough away from those disasters, so it didn't affect the area I live in as much as other cities.
Still, that earthquake+tsunami was really scary... It didn't hit my city, as I said, but hearing it on the news- everyone was talking about it for a really long time...
OH, but we had relatives in a city that got flooded. What was awesome was that it was as if the wave of water just went AROUND their house, so they stayed safe too!
I mean I didn't think he'd really kill me off, becsuse I mean why kill her off when in truth the person she loves is not able to see her, I think its crueler letting her live knowing when she dies she won't see him. Killing her seemed to just end her suffering because she'll never know how he died....But living would make it worse punishment then imprisoning her.
Yeah... Zaf and Ravel dying has stopped being a spoiler for me...
BUT, as the writing is different than people explaining, I think it can still affect me in a way than just 'oh, I already knew that, so it's not very surprising'. That kinda happened when I real the spoiler for the sixth book about Vile... (Oops) but at the time, I was feeling the shock through Val's point of view, so that was something.
I think that's what got me the most was just how I died. I mean I sorta had a clue in the summer but....Well I still felt shock and it took until November for me to finally comprehend Ravel died. I cried so hard....I just kept crying and crying....
Nah i think its been known....I mean....I kept my spoiler comments tagged for you, Lav. I only know Star hasn't read TDOTL but I think she knew I died and Ravel too...

I know people expected to die....but like....Why would he kill me off right after killing the previous Grand Mage off from my country? I didn't get it. I felt like that was just a bit mean....like if the time difference between LSODM and TDOTL was longer then it was I could see that he would, but the difference was so small it seemed to me like it was more like him killing off for the sake of it. LSODM I knew we'd have death, but not in TDOTL as bad....I meam yeah the lunatic is out there and met me but....I know Zaf would never have put herself in such a position. She'd be far away so she couldn't be blamed for Val's death.
Maybe I just tend to think more like Loki now since I've been rping as him since June. I just...I think logically on how to proceed, and she would want to be far from the creature....eh...*is American so okay*

UNLESS, you mean like Vista or 7, then I THINK mine's windows 7. Either that or 8, I haven't used my copywriter in a while, so I forgot. But as mentioned, it was originally vista. Then a friend of my uncle's downloaded the newer version on my computer for free, because he's nice. :)
Good news, both of you can get Windows 10 for free when it's out! :D
And oh my god. Oh my god. Raspberry Pi 2 is a tiny computer (that will be able to run Windows 10 too) but it's so cheap. Oh my god I know it's missing critical features and whatnot but it's a mostly functional new computer that costs $35 O_O

FIRSTLY, phones are not prohibited in my school to risking it JUST TO READ THE TITLE AND SYNOPSIS was bad enough!!! I then find out its a video!!! So, on top of being on my phone I have to figure out how to sneakily wear ear phones!!! (I pretended to be falling asleep on my bag) THEN you spend SO LONG delaying that break ENDED before I could find out the information I wanted!!! My friend then wouldn't allow me to use his internet sharing at lunch!!! I mean, seriously, I spent ALL DAY hating you!!!
I'm getting the Interstellar Blu-ray but I really want to watch it in cinemas because it's 10/10 and the music (which ordinary home speakers or headphones cannot reproduce) is 11/10

Nothing Derek can do about it. And Derek said he's goign to make an effort to make sure this new series comes out in America ESPECIALLY FOR YOU, beacuse HE CARES ABOUT YOU.

IN OTHER NEWS, I got my coursework mark for chemistry today. C was freaking out aboutit so much, because y'know, anxiety . . . :/ I got 55 outof 64, and that's roughly an A (50 for roughly an A, 57 for roughly an A*). C got 56, so one mark better than me, which I pretty much expected. :) I'm going to have to try super-hard to get A*s on my science exams if I'm getting As in my coursework, though. :/ I normally get A*s in science tests, but I'm normally close to the A borderline, so . . . revision.
*Sighs* I'm so tired... I just want to sleep... But I've got my two English essays to finish off and send for tomorrow. I also have to write up my fanfic...I stopped. I also have to finish bleach (less important) I also have to re-write my Drama script. I also have to do my AH Geography Issue and Study... *collapses*

Also, for the record, it is NOT DEREK'S FAULT SP isn't published in America. He feels REALLY BAD about the hard time the Ameriminions are having but they can't be published unless his publishers, which are HarperCollins, want to publish them. And they don't. Nothing Derek can do about it. And Derek said he's goign to make an effort to make sure this new series comes out in America ESPECIALLY FOR YOU, beacuse HE CARES ABOUT YOU.

ReplyDeleteIN OTHER NEWS, I got my coursework mark for chemistry today. C was freaking out aboutit so much, because y'know, anxiety . . . :/ I got 55 outof 64, and that's roughly an A (50 for roughly an A, 57 for roughly an A*). C got 56, so one mark better than me, which I pretty much expected. :)
I'm going to have to try super-hard to get A*s on my science exams if I'm getting As in my coursework, though. :/ I normally get A*s in science tests, but I'm normally close to the A borderline, so . . . revision.

I don't like physics, because I had a bad teacher, and then she left and I got a very bad teacher, and so, like, most of physics consists of either me not understanding or me understanding and trying to help C understand. :P
