Reaction to the book is exactly what I'd been hoping for — shock and AWE. There have been MANY threats of violence and decapitation made against me, which I thoroughly deserve for what I've put you through.
All in all, people have been very good about not spoiling it for others, but dear god, there have been some exceptions. A few things on the Facebook page, a lot of stuff on Twitter, some stuff on Tumblr, and one of the very first Amazon reviews has a major spoiler. I don't understand the need to spoil things for others or to seek out spoilers for yourself, and I really can't understand why anyone would casually mention a plot twist without realising it could ruin things for others.
Basically, beware of the internet, Minions.
But on a lighter note, Orla came to a signing on Saturday and she gave me a photograph of the cake she'd had for her birthday.

I have quite a few labelled clothes. Seeing as I tend to wear the same few things over and over, my mum doesn't really mind buying me labelled ones. Well, actually, the whole 'buying labelled clothes' thing is mostly her idea and I just go along, as I tend to go along with most things. But Hollister hoodies are always really nice, so I like them. They last long and have really good colours and shape. And my Jack Wills hoodie is really warm and cosy. And my Superdry hoodie is a great door-muffler. I like my hoodies. :)

People thing that things aren't spoilers if it's mild. IT IS. Saying that this character isn't in or is in is a spoiler. Saying that the ending is bad is a spoiler, beacsue then it's not unexpected so I'm mentally prepared so it doesn't have the same effect. Saying that the book is devastating is a spoiler beacuse then I don't get as devastated.

And ACTUAL spoilers are a HELL of a lot worse. You know when Alex said something about the ending? Before I saw he said it wasn't true, I was just DEVASTATED. I can't remember if I almost started crying or actually started crying, but we all know I cry a lot (which is good. Ask for further details if you wish them. I can't be botehred to write it out, otehrwise), so yeah. It's just . . . you'll get to rea this book ONCE in your whole lifetime. ONCE. You can reread it as many times as you want but the first time happens ONCE. The surprises happen ONCE. The shock happens ONCE. ONCE in my one lifetime. I have waited all year for a Skulduggery book, and will have to wait anotehr year for the next one. DO NOT RUIN THIS FOR ME.
