Reaction to the book is exactly what I'd been hoping for — shock and AWE. There have been MANY threats of violence and decapitation made against me, which I thoroughly deserve for what I've put you through.
All in all, people have been very good about not spoiling it for others, but dear god, there have been some exceptions. A few things on the Facebook page, a lot of stuff on Twitter, some stuff on Tumblr, and one of the very first Amazon reviews has a major spoiler. I don't understand the need to spoil things for others or to seek out spoilers for yourself, and I really can't understand why anyone would casually mention a plot twist without realising it could ruin things for others.
Basically, beware of the internet, Minions.
But on a lighter note, Orla came to a signing on Saturday and she gave me a photograph of the cake she'd had for her birthday.

Mithria, giant metal machines that want to wipe out all organic life in the universe. They were attacking other planets at the same time and before they had even got in range of the moon they had destroyed all of Earth's outer defences.
Then they wiped out about half of the human race into small pockets of resistance within the first day.
@Dragona: Oh... that doesn't sound too good for the earth... Sorry, but that's not really my thing...
Mithria, kk. ^^ It is actually a good game though. You create your character (you can choose first name and then customise pretty much everything), and then you make decisions in most of the stories - even in the 'cutscenes' (like the videos that play at certain points). And every decision you make influences the outcome of the story - you cannot play the same game twice.
It's set in the future and stuff and you have an entire galaxy to explore. It's mainly a shooting game though it's more based on story. And it's one of the most original and well-thought games out I have ever played.

Well, I can eat a bit of it. But in large quantities - large quantities being, like, a slice - I'm mostly just no. Depends on the cake. And teh amount of icing. I'm not keen on icing. :(
I used to ike it perfectly well enough. I'm not sure what happened. :P
Buns and muffins are still good - they have more top, are a different shape, don't have icing in the middle and are generally smaller. Unless they're muffins, in which case they're generally like blueberry flavoured or summat.
