My editor has been asking me for a synopsis for ages now. They need it so that they can send it to sites like Amazon, so they can put it up to inform people what it is they'll be buying. I took a few minutes today to write it, and before I go to bed tonight, I figured my Minions deserved to see it first.
Last Stand of Dead Men:
War has finally come.
But it's not a war between good and evil, or light and dark- it's a war between Sanctuaries. For too long now, the Irish Sanctuary has teetered on the brink of world-ending disaster, and the other Sanctuaries around the world have had enough. Allies turn to enemies, friends turn to foes, and Skulduggery and Valkyrie must team up with the rest of the Dead Men if they're going to have any chance at all of maintaining the balance of power and getting to the root of a vast conspiracy that has been years in the making.
But while this war is only beginning, another war rages within Valkyrie herself. Her own dark side, the insanely powerful being known as Darquesse, is on the verge of rising to the surface. And if Valkyrie slips, even for a moment, then Darquesse will burn the world and everyone in it.

Sorry, I was reading much of today. My mind is in noble-thought-mode. The one that acts like everyday life is a momentous adventure where death is around every corner and there is always a right thing. Utter rubbish, that 'right thing' buisness, btw. Often there is no right thing. Negativeness is caused whatever you do and even if you do the right thing in pne way, it's the wrong thing in another. I can't quote exactly, but once some on Northern Lights said the the Master of Jordan College was a man who had hard decisions to make, and whichever choice he picked great harm would be done, but maybe if he picked one slightly less harm would be done, and God help the person speaking from every having to make those kind of decisions . . . Soemthing like that. Every choice is like that but generally on a smaller scale.
And I don't even know what I was originally saying, so I may just post and hope you cuaght the thread before I dropped it. XD

Mara, because I'm defiant, I will tell you that I prefer listening to faster louder songs, but other than that, you're right, it's perfect. :)
My friends do not get why I'm into Disturbed at all. They do not get it. My friend and I were having a conversation where she was going why on earth do you like metal music - I could go into detail here, but I won't much - anyway, on the subject of depressing lyrics, my friend said, why do you want to listen to depressing stuff? Meaning, doesn't it just make you all depressed? (I tried explaining. I failed.)
Well, personally, I listen to popular music and stuff on the radio and I am honestly baffled to why people would like pop music. Like, why would you want to just listen to "I want to party" and "I want sex" and all that all the time? It just seems so stupid and flat and meaningless.
The thing is, I'll never get them and they'll never get me because we ignore some faults in our own music tastes that we exploit in others'.
But Little Things is just lyrically amazing.
And when I come across songs like that, I step across the barrier and get it. Little Things is like the pop equivilant of songs like Opinion.
I get it.
Mixed in the with the epic-sounding meaninglessness is some awesomeness, and people latch onto that.

Hey, cool. Congrats on completing the 1D one! And yaaaaay thank you for starting a LM one. I'll definitely look at it when it has videos on it if I remember, which I probably won't unless you mention it again.
And then there's me who keeps going on about how awesome a bunch of different musicians are! XD
But Adele and Hayley have such amazing vocal ranges. Adele has such a natural in a beautiful way voice that comes straight from her heart and Hayley's voice is so clear and beautiful and sparkly! And Enya music is so peaceful and relaxing but not without emotion, and Little Mix is perfect and does a lot of different things well and makes me feel happy, and Evanescence sticks in my head like...whoa, and has really good emotion and lyrics.
