Also, Derek, when will you be announceing the Ten Times the Awesome Competition results? As Holly says, the domain name for the forums seems to have expired yesterday. Which, well, sucks.
(I mean, all my awesome Valduggery analysis is there! And I don't think I posted my Beryl/Nye/Wreath threesome ficlet anywhere else. Although on second thoughts, that one being gone may be a good thing for everyone.)
I hope Genesisnx will, well, say something... if she doesn't want to deal with hosting the forums or the domain any longer, I'm sure something could be worked out re: transfer, but it would need her input.

Kribu, I've tried contacting her on her dA page (which Derek has linked to? It has all the awesome SP fanart on it, and such?) and her twitter page, if that helps. I really hope we don't lose the forums! I know it's a little silly, but the Valduggery thread was really doing amazingly with all the analysis, and the stuff, and... -_- Anyway, at the very least it would be good to get the backups. I'm sure even if the original owner doesn't care, other people would love to work things out!
I mentioned that Derek himself had wondered where the forum went, haha, let's see if the owner/creator notices.
i agree skully, it should never have parted, then we could all get together and, like, rent a bus or something and DRIVE over to see Derek, not fly and spend 1500$ on a plane ticket

I decided that Luciana wasn't who I really was anymore and I didn't deserve the name...Luciana is a strong young woman, both mentally and physically. But I wasn't very strong, recently...Things happened and I broke down again, emotionally. I didn't think I deserved to be called Luciana, so I went back to L. L was more mysterious and like an unknown person. I was unknown to myself. I didn't know who I was anymore. But I've gone back to more like Luciana again, so it's fine.
Yeah, well, 11pm is the most likely time for that to happen
And if we don't get a tour, at least we "die knowing we had the moral high ground." Just finished rereading Dark Days.

Every SP fan I know reads his blog, and if could point the way to a replacement, whether it's the roarhaven site or somewhere else (like Emerald Melody suggested), then people would know. Emerald: Dublin is probably 2 hours/2 and a half maybe :) Still too far, because all my family would have to come, which consists of small kids+Me+Mum+Dad, so it's too far to drag all of them there :'( I wanted to go :( Ah, well, maybe next time Derek goes somewhere I'll be allowed to go :)

I'm serious about the audiobook. The one I heard was cool because it was an Irish reader, so Skulduggery finally sound Irish when I read the books, but the reader really messed up Sanguine. He turned him completely into a cowboy. it was really annoying because I know what he would sound like. I live in the south of America, and although I don't have a southern drawl (raised in Massachusetts)I know a lot of people who do have one.
I have all six audiobooks
The first four are done by Rupert Degas who is very good at all the voices and makes Sanguine sound like Owen Wilson lol
Then book 5 is done by Brian Bowles and that's ok so far
And then book 6 is read by Stephen Hogan who is good at doing voices aswell
But Rupert Degas was the best at doing Skulduggery's voice.
Holly - yeah, I guess that would work.
Emerald - there is a replacement forum set up from some time ago; problem is that it's slightly dead.
Using either that or setting up a new forum is probably what will have to be done if the skulduggeryforums owner doesn't respond - it's just that there was so much there, so many excellent discussions and theories (and fic and art and everything else) that it will be a real pity to lose it all.
Blogs, Tumblr, Facebook etc are awesome things, but for proper discussions, nothing works as well as a good old-fashioned forums / message board format.
