I have just picked the winners.
Before I announce them, I'd just like to mention that Death Bringer is up for an Irish Book Award. Skulduggery has won for two consecutive years, so I really don't mind if I don't win this year- to be honest, I think I'm running out of people to insult in my speeches...! Death Bringer is in the Senior Children's Section, and you can look at the nominees here http://www.irishbookawards.ie/PublicVote.aspx.
For the first time I'm up against Darren Shan, who could very well topple me, as well as three other books that I've been hearing great things about. As usual, I'm asking you to be fair, and don't vote for me just because you're thinking of Skulduggery right at this moment... Look at the nominees, pick your favourite, and if you like any of them, vote.
(And then scroll down to the Popular Fiction award and vote for Cecelia Ahern- she's lovely!)
Whoever wins, Irish viewers will be able to see them accept their award on RTE in the last week of November, because the whole thing is going to be televised. Whenever I win I always seem to grin and smirk and tell everyone how great I am- and generally mock everyone else- so it might be a good idea if maybe I DIDN'T win this year! I sincerely don't think I could be remotely serious...
Anyway! On to the important announcement! The Friend Gets Friend winners! They are, in the order they came out of the hat:
Miss Arianna Dark
Skulduggeryaddict
Octaboona
Asteria Wing
The BookNommer
Necros
Andrew
Silke Gronau
Lauren Longbottom
Mar-Chu
Well done, the lot of you. But I'm not finished yet. I have decided that we're going to have two EXTRA winners, two people who were not picked at random but who still deserve SOMETHING. I know ALL of you deserve something, and I'd love to give ALL of you prizes, but there are only so many I can give out.
So, those two extra winners. The first is Valkyrie V, simply for throwing the best Skulduggery party I've seen...!
The second is Trinity Kal- or Kallista, as she is more commonly known. A lot of you guys put forward her name as someone who thoroughly deserves a prize for a multitude of reasons, and I happen to agree with every single one of them. Kallista has been here since the early days, and she's a wonderful example of a Minion- she's warm, funny, nice to everyone and she makes newcomers feel welcome. People commenting here for the first time look at her comments, look at the comments made by all of you, and they instantly know what kind of place this is. We do not tolerate bullying, we resolve our arguments, and we get back to being friends and having a laugh. Kallista exemplifies this wonderfully, so I'm delighted to extend the number of winners to include her.
Oh, and Thalia? For winning the Halloween competition last week, you get the same prize as these guys. I couldn't NOT include you.
So now, all you winners, all thirteen of you, need to send your home addresses to my publisher's email- spilltheink@harpercollins.co.uk. Mark it "Skulduggery Competition". Once we have your addresses, we'll figure out the prizes and send them off. I don't know when they'll be sent, but probably sometime over the next week or two. Hopefully.
I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to do something for the Friend Gets Friend thing. Congratulations to those who won, and commiserations to those who didn't. To be honest, seeing the response we've been getting to these competitions has really encouraged me to start thinking of more I could run- so if you didn't win this time, you could always win next time...
I was talking to my agent the other day about all of you, and the fact is that everyone- and this includes my publishers- have been astounded at your attitude. When Thalia won the Halloween competition, the positive reaction was startling. The rest of you were obviously disappointed that your entry didn't win, but there was no sniping or grumbling or sulking from any of you. You all seemed genuinely thrilled that Thalia, your friend, had won.
The internet can be a cruel place. Just look at all the online bullying that goes on. Look at all the internet trolls who just want to upset people. When you sit at a keyboard, interacting with people you've never met, the temptation to be as nasty as you can be is always there. The internet really seems to bring out the worst in people.
But you guys are different. I don't know WHY you're different, you just are. You are good, honourable, decent people. You're warm and witty and friendly, and you're loyal to each other. And that is a wonderful, wonderful thing to see.
I'm proud of every single one of you.

READ HUNGER GAMES. THE MOVIE COMES OUT THE WEEKEND OF MY BIRTHDAY. IT IS A SIGN. IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME.
Hey, congrats everyone! I must say, while I am a little disappointed that I did not win, my happiness for all the winners overrides my sadness. Really, congrats everyone, from the heart! I can only imagine how immmensely thrilled you are, and I am not jealous for a moment when I think of your joy!
I have a special dedication for you on my blog, or will whenever I finish this post.
And by the way, real real dumb question, but it has been awhile since the first book, doesn't Valkyrie chose her name IN the first, or was it the second, that I somewhat doubt but it is a nagging doubt that will not shut up.
Thank you.
Author-to-be, it was in the first :)
@fly- meh, iono. doesn't really matter what you want to call me, I don't really talk about it much on here. I just think of myself as someone who likes animals enough to not want to hurt them. *shrugs*
@Thrust, I haven't read the Hunger games yet so if you do then no spoilers! and Divergent is really good - trust me
And that's completely fine. ^_^ It IS a very healthy lifestyle. Do you have any pets?
Gotta Go now! bye!
I'm gonna go to bed, guys.
ANOTHER ROUND OF CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS!! so awesome. I hope some people post pictures of the prizes <3
I hope this means there'll be more contests in the future, maybe one for different countries. Or at least one to group all of North America together? ;D
Anyways, goodnight everyone, much love all around *hugs everyone*
*also leaves out a tray of freshly baked Canadian cookies*
Yeah, I leave out pancakes..
'Night fly
Bye Thrust
yeah, I have a dog that I'm crazy in love with. not in a weird way...er...

bye thrust!
bye fly!
*hugs*

Mwa. Ha ha. Ha ha. I think I’ve made my point.
*glomps Acacia*
HIIII!!! :D *Epic glomps*
I wonder if Derek likes glomps? Hmm...
*glomps Derek anyway* =)
Next signing, glomp or die. :D
I'm here too
HEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOO!!!!!! *appears in a flurry of black and red confetti and awesomeness*
*mutters in disappointment about no welcome party*
Hi
There is a welcoming party.... Me and my 2 cat count as a welcoming party right?
Oh. There's someone here! *re-gathers confetti and runs out of the room* *runs back in and throws confetti* HEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOO!!!
Hello Miss V
Oh. Um... Hello (insert Miss or Mr here) O'Killer.
I have the feeling we will be doing this for a while (It's miss by the way)
Ah. Well, if you wanna speed up first impressions...
I'm Valkyrie V, more commonly called Val V. I did, as it says, have a party for Derek and Skulduggery with a cake, and that's probably the most intelligent thing I've done in my life. I was once here for 30 hours straight, and was awake for 39 in total. I have dark hair and dark eyes, and am an Ameriminion. I'm also ever so slightly insane.
Oh, and so far I'm the youngest person I know of who comes here.
*glances around*
*looks back at something that catches my attention*
NO! IT'S CAELAN!!! NO!!!
*throws sea water*
*looks back to see that it was really a bug*
I'm Shade, I attempt to wright and procrastination from doing so. the most intelligent thing I've ever done is stop my mum from baking. I once spent an entire day speaking in limericks and have been so engrossed in a book that I forgot to eat for a day.
Hey! I got the start of my story started on my blog, if anyone wants to read, including you Mr. Landy. There is most certainly more to come!
Author to be, I'm perving on your blog now
Well then, Shade, our first impressions are done!
And hi ATB (can I call you that?)
Yes, you can call me that. Congrats, Valkyrie. Actually, saying that just made me realize that I wrote "Stephanie" instead of "Valkyrie" in my story, but I think it's set early enough that it doesn't matter.
Thanks ATB :) I always knew my ridiculously obsessiveness (that is now a word) would come in useful... Take that, family!...
I'm back from perving at your blog ATB, very cool, I love labyrinth, it has the catchy songs that just wedge in your head and don't go away
I have my sister to compete with. Were book-a-holics.
Thanks, Shade. I thought the two were perfect for each other. But I'm not finished with it yet.
Labrinth, as in the movie? I tried watching that at my dad's friend's house, but his friend's toddler-daughter was terrified and started screaming because of the little goblins...
And that is why I do not associate with small children!
David Bowie is rather scary as Jareth. You should watch it all the way through one time. It is AMAZING.
*Labrynth
What quote are you requesting on you poster, by the way, Valkyrie?
Oh my gosh I still spelled it wrong.
I haven't the slightest idea for the poster... *grabs all six books and looks frantically*
My personal favorite, since the beginning, is "Doors are for people with no imagination". To bad there was a rosebush preventing me from leaving my window at the time. Now I'm stuck in a room where the window doesn't even open. Dumb dorm!
I'm scared of my window... I feel like the second I move the blinds (thats what we call them), the curtains, and my huge Irish flag out of the way, that I'll see Caelan's creepy face staring in at me....
Someone save me!!! My cat brought in a hell spawn (spider) I don't want to kill it, but I don't want it here... nor do I want to touch it. HEEELLLLPPP MMMEEEE
EW! SPIDER! *throws shoe at Shade's post*
Once there was a bee in my house, and I was trying to HELP it by using a cup to push it out the window... It didn't end well. Or start well. I tried to put the cup over the bee, and the edge of the cup decapitated the bee.
Well, that's only at night, right? I didn't want anything coming through at night, and certainly not a skeleton, unless I knew it. I was always scared of things looking through my window, especially since it looked out to a forest. There was always these two big green eyes in the trees, or at least in my imagination. That was what I was afraid of. And the fact that the cats like to sit outside the windows doesn't always help when they see the lights on at night. Or when some random tree taps on it. Or that rosebush. It taps on the window too. And yet, I miss my window.
What's another... At some point Skulduggery says something like: "We've gotten away with stranger things" or something like that...
It's ok! my parents came home and removed the creature from hell. Bye little spider, If you come here again I'll kill you with fly spray
Do you mean that Skulduggery says, "Stranger things have happened"?
I like spiders. (smiles evilly). I'm the only girl I know that does. Except for my sister. But I still tolerate them more. Sorry I could not help, Shade. At least it wasn't a snake.
Cat, don't do that again. Bad cat.
... And I think that's what I was going for. It's been awhile since book one.
Am I the only one who realises that it seems to be mostly GIRLS who come here? That would surprise the people I know...
I only just got on, so I wouldn't know. Is Skulduggery really a girl thing then? I just got it because it had a skeleton.
ATB, you know the how in the paperback copy of Scepter of the Ancients there's a sort of hint page when you open the cover? I know that whole page by heart and can recite it in less than 20 seconds. Seriously. My sister timed me.
It is odd, but eh.
ATB, we don't have snakes were i live so i would be very concerned if my cats dragged one in,
Heyy people no one is on :'(
Anyone???????????
Maybe girls read it because Valkyrie's a girl...? I don't know. I like the humor, to be honest. That and the violence.
you hollered?
Oh. Well, my cat's drag one up every now and then. But they drag up lots of things. At least they've started to eat them instead of leaving "surprises".
Valkyrie, I must admit, I am not near that good. I just remember random lines, because I have never once re-read a book. There are too many new ones to find. Like Jurassic Park, and Phantom of the Opera, and... The Last Unicorn, etc.
*glomps everyone* heyy!
Why are you glomping me, an innocent colleger? What did I ever do to you?
*glomps back*
Is it just my computer but every second i need to reload the page just to see what others have written :(
*mutters to self as I pick up each book and look through it* You'd think that when you've read a six book series with at least 40 times in all you'd know every quote and would be able to pick one...
thats y i take so long to reply to everything and anything
Skulduggery Pleasant FreakFan, I have to as well. It's not just you. I do it ALL THE TIME.
You'll think of something clever, Valkyrie. I have faith in you. :)
Few i dont have problems then :P
I have to refresh too SPBFF (I'm calling you that from now on btw)
Hey if you add 14, 7, 8, 6, 5, and 2 what do you get? 44, right? Because that's how many times I've read a Skulduggery Pleasant book.
thats fine if u call me that
this is officialy the second time ive been on here wth people!
*SCREAMZ*
I've been on here while you were on, SPBFF.
so where do u guys come from????? I am a . . . .
umm . . . . . would u call it a .......
NEWZEALANDMINION??????
yea i come from nz lol
where did the numbers come from?
Geez, Valkyrie! And you have all six, right? I think you beat my sister for re-reading, but she's always reading and re-reading and reading something new, and then re-reading something else.
Do you not have anything else to read or something?
Freak, whenever I post it puts me back to the first comments so I have to scroll all the way to the bottom, hit newest, then scroll all the way down again. Long process just to chit-chat.
u must b on here a lot valkyrie :P
I'M A KIWIMINION TOOO
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE DO U COME FROM IN NZ???????????????
IM FROM auckland :P
I have other books, but they weep with jealousy over Skulduggery and their pages get wet so I can't read them. Besides, when you're as obsessed as I am, those numbers are kind of small.
I'm an Ameriminion, from New Orleans originally. So a southern Ameriminion.
im reading death bringer right now im up to the part where skul and val r having the conversation in her bedroom and he see's her reflection naked :P lol im still cracking up
I'm a... a north west Ameriminion. I'm from Washington State :)
I'm from welly SPBFF, moved up from christchurch after the walls of school decided to meet the street
Awesome. Is it cold up there right now?
Please, Freak. I'm only on book four.
nice word shade: KIWIMINION :P
I have all six books in front of me... They're so beautiful...
And I have more than one of each book. When I get the "prize" I'll actually have my fourth copy of books 1, 3, and 4.
Sorry ATB!!!!!!!!
Wait, I only have one Death Bringer and one Mortal Coil...
i've got one of each book thats it
It's ok. Valkyrie, you're so lucky. My main problem is that the three I got with the UK covers are ALL DIFFERENT SIZES. It bothers both my sister and I.
How can you get them off of Amazon and know they will all be the same size? I mean, they are all from the same publisher, right? So why are they all different sizes?
And why are we so OCD about this?
I have 2 of death bringer and 2 of playing with fire. death bringer was mum buying it for me the day after I got it for myself
sorry everyone gtg i've got dancing class to go to!!!!!!!!!! i'll miss all of u byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!
BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
ok thats enough 4 now - im sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooodramatic
:P
I didn't order Dark Days and Mortal Coil, my mumzy did...
And I didn't know what size Death Bringer was going to be when I preordered it. Or when I got the collector's edition of the first book.
ATB u shud try Book depository it is such a good website and that is how i got all of my skulduggery pleasant books from!
Like I said, lucky. I'm just going to visit Europe someday or find someway to get them all the same size.
Goodnight Freak! That's what I'm calling you!
Did you find a quote yet? You can always google quotes to see if anything strikes you.
has anyone else been tempted to highlight the pages on the books (Like the first one but in their colours)? or is it just me?
Searching now. Thanks, Freak!
ur welcome and yes shade i always want to do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wouldn't dare highlight my books, because I'm terrible with highlighters and have an amazingly well memory....
I would only do it to my spares... That sounds rather mean, like 'oh, I'll only kill the little sibling - it's a spear'
I've decided to go chapter by chapter of every book and write down quotes that I like. I'll check the blog after I finsh with book 1.
Brb
Haha. Hilarious. The book depository only has the first three in stock. I can wait though. I can wait.
Hmmmm... My roommate's asleep. Should I take that as a hint?
Yeah. Goodnight guys. Congrats again, Valkyrie. It's 12:30 and I have class at nine. Which means I get up at eight. Darn, and I never took that shower...
Please read my story, if you want, and feel free to comment! That goes for everyone. Shade, I know that doesn't include you. You already read it. Thanks.
Night ATB, bye Val
Bye ATB!
Goodnight! Pleasant nightmares, dreams, whichever you prefer.
im very happy for all you people that won i am also kinda dissapointed that i didnt win but im not gonna be a grouch i am truely happy for you guys but im may not be right but most of thoses names seem to be from america and the uk and no one from australia once again i maybe wrong any way derek im not sure if you remeber but just before my birthday you said you would ask you pubblisher what wiud be the best address t send you mail to so if you could do that i wouldnt be so dissappointed that i didnt get those signed copies and that i never get to meet you because you dont come to australia and when you do i cant go

yes please oh please i wuld be ever so happy and might wven be able to forgive you for not come ing to aus when i can meet you
Snail mail would be AMAZING. Please God of all things Golden and Firebally *u*
This isn't my favorite quote, but I had to point out that it was hilarious:
"Found something?" Skulduggery asked from behind them.
Tanith turned, looking serious. "No, sorry. I thought I had, but, no, it turned out to be, uh... more floor."
And a little later when it says;
Tanith pointed at Stephanie and backed away. "Skulduggery, she's not being professional!"
sup peeps!!! congrats to all 13 winners!!! and all who entered i am shore you all did a great job!!!
I can't pick a freaking quote and it's driving me insane!
Val are you staying around again so u can talk to Derek? if so u should know its not good for u if u aren't than i apologize for saying something that's not true!!!
I'm staying around until I pick a quote and can post it, yes.
... ok um it's ok um ...
sigh i don't know!
but i love it in death bringer how Desmond comes up and pokes Alice and when he says hello to her! oh it's just so funny!!! [note i am not wording it correctly because i don't want to give the funny bit away!]
I wish you luck in finding a perfect quote Val
Derek, I fear that there's something wrong with me. Every time I read about Darquesse killing people in Mortal Coil I laugh. That's pretty twisted, don't you think?
Val? If you are still there which I doubt- I tried drawing a purple unicorn... I did it on the back of a German test DRAFT thinking that I would keep it? I was wrong. But it looked like a giant dugong, with a horn and ears. The horn had blood on it and stick figures being attacked by shadow items around it.
Sparky!!!
I finished my unicorn yesterday. It was epic. And picking quotes are SOOOOO hard...
I decided that my favourite quotes this morning was:
"Being a detective isn't all about magic, murders and monsters. Sometimes it gets really unpleasant"
Or:
"Doors are for people with no imaginations."
Or:
"Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough."
Or:
"I did fight my inner demon, I punched him in the face and he exploded."
Oh my gosh that was one I was considering! I know that "I swear, Skulduggery, you either give me a straight answer or I'm finding the biggest dog you've ever seen and I'm going to make him dig a hole and bury you in it" has always been one of my favorites... I'm definitely considering it...
Or, y'know, every sentence in the entire series... I understand that I am no help right now- but I had five hours sleep last night and got up 13 hours ago...
Or:
"'I have something that your partner didn't.' 'And that is?' 'Your hat, let me come or I'll stand on it.'"
Val?
Oh, and I also like:
"Is this disrespectful? Is this like dancing on someone's grave?"
"A little worse than that. It's like digging up that grave, taking out the body, rifiling through its pockets and THEN dancing on the whole thing. It's a little more than disrespectful."
I LOVE THAT ONE!!!!!!!!
And:
"Four-year-olds. We're facing an unimaginable crisis, and I'm dealing with four-year-olds."
And:
"You, my dear, have proven yourself to be far too troublesome for your own good."
It is truly magic
SO MANY TO PIC FROM. I almost (almost) feel sorry for you.
AND:
"Cheer up everyone. Since we're all going to die horribly anyway, what's there to be worried about?"
Well done everyone!
i don't think anyone will read this but at least it's out there.
Damn time zones!!!
Also:
"Right, well, we've got to work out what we need. We've got to work out what we need, how we get it, and what we need to get to get what we need."
"You'd be surprised by how many things we get away with that fall under the catagory of 'unlikely'."
And so far all of these quotes are from the first book.
she is working through them
yes. Because I just searched throught the first book. And here's one from Dark Days that makes me laugh hysterically:
"That's what happens. They hunt me, they die. Simple. I like to keep it simple. Keep it clean."
I know. That's the point.
*flips through the pages of Death Bringer* Hehe. Fletcher doesn't have any friends.
Hmm... I have interesting thoughts when I read this:
'She needed to stop him before he punched her brain out through her skull. She'd done that once. It was funnier when it happened to other people.'
which one's that from?
The quote thing is *almost* making me glad I didn't win, because to pick just one quote? Out of THIS series? There's probably a quote a page that I love, and even narrowing my favourites down to a dozen would be tricky!
The SP books are without a doubt the most quotable books I've ever read, and I've read a LOT of books. A lot. Thousands, literally.
Okay, I think I'm narrowing it down to these:
"I swear, Skulduggery, you either give me a straight answer or I'm finding the biggest dog you've ever seen and I'm going to make him dig a hole and bury you in it."
"Good luck to you, Valkyrie Cain. You got a lifetime of dark days ahead of you, if I'm not mistaken. I'd enjoy the quiet moments while you can."
"My my, what dashing mentor has been teaching YOU to be a detective? Oh, that's right, it's me."
I vote first one, but its your stash
When you asked about the brain one it was from Death Bringer. I'm drawing the quotes from a hat.
a top hat?
A fedora.
Derek, I'm sorry that I'm about to say this, but I think Darren Shan might beat you. I've had a look at which book it is he's entering, and Ocean Of Blood is an absolutely amazing book. I think that Palace Of The Damned is better, but if that's what he's entering... it IS a good book, and I think it has a good chance of winning. I did enjoy Death Bringer, but not as much as Ocean Of Blood.
A fedora is even better
DEREK
DEREK
DEREK
DEREK
DEREK
DEREK
DEREK
DEREK
DEREK
DEREK
Okay, even though I pulled out the first quote twice I still choose:
"My my, what dashing mentor has been teaching YOU to be a detective? Oh, that's right, it's me."
You see that, Derek? That's my quote. Now go scribble that on to a poster. (and the word YOU in the quote is meant to be itallics instead of captitals)
you are going to be obsessing over this for a while methinks
I think Death Bringer will win because it gives answers to the secrets in the others! It's also well written, and there's a lot of action, and you can compare it to the others and see how much Valkyrie and Skulduggery have grown to need each other. It also has something I don't think ANYONE would've ever expected *cough the twist cough* and I absolutely loved it.
*reads post again and looks at it, slightly suspiciously* *stops and giggles*
When you say "Once we have your addresses" it sounds really creepy. *plays eerie music*
Derek, just PLEASE don't give my address to Caelan, okay?
I did love finding out more about the necromances
oh gods Caelan, Cats: Attack
I loved finding out more about everything. Once during, I think it was... August? Anyway, I got super angry at Mortal Coil because it left me wondering and I wanted Death Bringer right that second.
I have to admit I haven't read the other books in the running (maybe I should?) but the one Darren Shan book I read ... er, the first one of the Darren Shan saga, I think, whatever it was called, I found that one okay but it didn't inspire me to read more.
Death Bringer, on the other hand, was amazing - probably my favourite SP yet, and I've been a crazed fan (as opposed to a moderately insane fan) since I read Dark Days. So I'm hoping it'll win. :D
And Death Bringer had the best second-to-last chapter EVER >:D
12:34
It is now 12:35 AM here, on a school night (not that I'm going anyway), so I'm heading off to bed.
Bye everyone! Noodles for everyone! *throws noodles at people's heads*
Oh, and one more thing before I go.
*hugs Derek* Thanks so very very very much :)
night Val
Congatulations to the winners! :D
I'm gonna vote for you Mr Landy! :)
chow chow all!
Thanks flame phoenix, I will gladly accept your muffin :D
back peeps! did u miss me?
our lives were empty without you
hi Shade!!!! i don't think we have met before! u can call me Misty! *shakes hands*
Yello Misty,
hi how r u?
i is an Aussie!
congrats to the winners!
And for those who didn't win anything i hope you win something in the future.
I'm good and a kiwi, I'm a good kiwi. You?
hi guys but i've got to go so by guys
WELL DONE! to every one that won!
Last year you were runner up for an American book award but you lost to a book that I don't agree was very good called Cracker. It was okay but Skulduggery is WAY better.
I was going to tell you about it at the Cambridge signing this year but i was REALLY nervous.
Hello
@ Mystical Future: Another Aussie?! No way!
Well rats, I was really hoping to win.
While we are in the mood for thanking people. I'd just like to say this, Everyone here is amazing, and I have not met a single one of you that I would not be happy to talk to/be friends with.
I know I don't post much, and only a few of you know me, But thank you are for you delightfully funny conversations in these comments. I have had a hoot reading them.
You're all wonderful people.
Thank you for, existing.
And I'd also like to thank Derek for firstly, being an absolutely amazing writer who I aspire to be as successful as, especially if my fans were as amazing as his all are.
And two, being so involved with your fanbase, with all these competitions and even knowing some of them personally, you're a great guy, and a Golden God for it.
:)
Thanks for reading this anyone who did.
Reginald out.
Also, I think my friends think I'm odd that I had a book cover as my display picture for over 2-3 weeks.
Oh well, it's an amazing series.
Also also, CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THOSE WHO WON!
I agree with Reginald!
It's a wonderful crowd of people here, although work doesn't let me hang around enough to be actually able to become part of it (being a grown-up sucks sometimes, really - I'm just happy that there are awesome books around that let me forget that part!), and each and every one of the people here deserves that win!
Also, and completely irrelevantly, my mouse scroll wheel just broke. It simply won't scroll any more. At all. Sniffle. I think a new mouse is in order.
darn. I've already done my OH DEAR GOD I LOVE EVERYONE SO MUCH AND YOU MAKE EVERYTHING SO MUCH LESS AWFUL comment, but every time I come on here, someone else posts something that makes me feel sentimental and teary again.
okay. So, a lot of things suck quite a bit. Money kind of sucks, and people kind of suck, and reality kind of sucks a lot. But here, especially the chat, has some of the most amazingest people I know. The scale of their amazingness is really quite incredible, and should honestly be put as a world record or something. And here, everything sucks so much less. There is really something to be said for completely ignoring reality. Okay, maybe it's not really productive or smart...but tbh, it's what keeps me going, keeps me alive. That and the future, and dreams, which I've learned so much about. I've learned that there's always a dream, there's always something that will get you through whatever shit you have to contend with. We've already made it through until now, we are strong.
get a new mouse, evryone deserves to scroll...
maybe master landy could put up a competition for a new mouse and rig it for you... ARE YOU READING THIS MASTER LANDY?
*giggles at MooGirl's suggestion*
Oh yeah. A signed mouse! If I ever get to go to a signing (unlikely, but one never knows), maybe I should bring a mouse. A computer mouse, that is, not a real one, as those wiggle and are tricky to sign.
Not that I've ever tried. *shifty look*
At least the scroll wheel on my extremely old keyboard sort of works, so I'm not entirely scroll-less, but it's irritating. I'd punch my mouse in the face, if I didn't still need it.
Hey everyone :D
oh wait theres no one here :(
Okay i will come back later!!
Do I ever get the feeling no one listens to me?
Why yes. Yes I do.
I listen to you.
Shut up, you don't count, you're my attempt to introduce humour into a serious issue.
Ho-hum...
I'm sort of here! Although I should be working, so not very here all the time.
*waves to Crystal and Cluainn*
Yay! I am loved!
anybody still on?
is that a no?? *sitting dejected in a corner*
*brings a fluffy chair into the corner for Shadow*
YAY!!! hello!!!
I was supposed to hug you as well... *hug* thanks for the chair!
Hee! Thanks for the hug. *hugs too*
There appears to be a large fluffy cat sitting on top of my computer tower. I did not put her there.
