Cat's class didn't even know i t was gonna happen; the bell rang and they were like "ytf is a bell ringing at this time" and just carried on. :P
(Formal debate competition. Two v. two (Cat with arguing with Harvey against Beth and Ellis). I was her research partner. We've been preparing for two weeks. She was freaking out about it so much today and I was telling her that it would be fine and that she was awesome and that I thought her side would win, and they WON, and I'm so pleased for her. <3)
(@Star I don't know anyone who died. And remembering them like two days later seems weird, as we've not had a chance to forget them. It's all over the news.
@Kas: It wasn't Remembrance Day, though. You just think of them and feel sad for them. You don't have to know anyone personally, it's just general mournfulness for those who've died. I have to admit, it is easier on Remembrance Day. I spent the minutes after the minute silence tody being a like "duuuude people die all the time why are this particular 180 special"

And, actually, considering conscription, WW1 was, in the end, less about people bravely volunteering to give their lives and more about bad shit happening to innocent civilians who were just going about their daily lives. Which is pretty similar to what happened in Paris. Although at least it was quick for those in Paris. (Yes, I know that many, many people signed up in 1914, and I also know that Remembrance Day is supposed to be about ALL soldiers. I'm just pointing out).
And, yeah, I agree; yes, 180 people died, and yes, it was awful, but plenty of people die all the freaking time and don't get minute silences.

I think I have found a way...I will write a story...with very good characters, story line and fights. I will write it, draw it. And then, at the very end, i will make everything go shit. Not in terms of writing...in terms of shocking factor and such. It will make everyone, who got involved in the story, shake.
