On August 26th, just twelve short days away, we will be kicking off the tour with a NEW, special event in Waterstones in Hampstead. Apart from the fact that you'll be able to snag a copy of Demon Road a day ahead of its release (you'll even be able to snag one of the limited Platinum editions), and for a full TWO POUNDS off, we'll also have goodies to give out on the night, I'll be yammering on about writing or some such nonsense, and then I'll be signing whatever you want me to sign.

This is IMPORTANT, and it applies to all of the signings and events — I will sign WHATEVER you bring. I don't care what the book is (so long as I've, y'know, actually written it) and I don't care how many are in your bag. If someone, at whatever signing you turn up to, tells you I'm only going to sign books you buy in their store, let me know and I'll sort it out. That rarely happens anymore, but some staff members are over-eager. Obviously time is sometimes an issue, so if the queue is long as I have to jet off to the next signing, we'll impose some limitations — but that's always a last resort.

@Aquila: Haha, once Lizzie jumped on a cocktail stick adn it went like an inch through her foot and she had to go to hospital. :)
Then there's the other time she stood on some glass and it went reeeeeeally deep into her foot, adn she tried everything adn couldn't get it out, so after a day or two idk she got a knife and started carving part of her foot apart to try adn reach the glass. She was just like sweearing to us on WhatsApp. O_O And then she got some out, but she still insisted she hadn't got it all out, so she had to like cut into her foot deeper the next day.
And then she said that there was still glass it in, but we said there couldn't be, so she walked around for abotu two weeks after she'd first got it in before saying "right y'know what" and got her knife out and cut into her foot again and got the remaining glass out.
And her skin had all healed over it by that point. D:
She got it all out that time, too. :)

@Aquila: Lizzie doesn't go to A&E any more. She used to go to A&E whenever she needed to go to A&E, and went there so frequently she got on first-name terms with the staff, btu now she doesn't bother.
When hee brother hit her in her bad shoulder and it went at a funny angle, she said she told her mum that she was worried about it, and her mum was just like "ugh" because she couldn't be bothered to take her to A&E, so I think that that could be somethign to do with it as well.
(Also, that knife would ahave been perfectly clean. Lizzie is a first-aider and she takes good care of her knives).
Idk, I just think that if you're that used to getting damaged and if the medical health professionals are usually rubbish and don't do much to help you (have two stories abotu that), then I guess going to hospital just starts to seem a bit pointless.
Nevertheless, I always nag her to go to see a medical professional, but she never does. She just tells me I worry too much.

Well, one of my friends is chronically clumsy, too. To the point she regularily slips in her own hallway. And hell yes does she have to go to the doctor nearly once a month. BUT she still goes.
If your doctors suck, you just have to find new ones. But. Like. She should know to never pull glass out of a wound just like that, if she ever had a first aid course. Mine has been years back, and I STILL know that. -still frowning-
And perfectly clean is a bit difficult in a household environment, though I guess if she boils it and then keeps it in wodka, it might get close.

Well, I'm damn glad we nagged our friend till she saw a doctor.
She had a stomach ache for years, sometimes more, sometimes less.
It turns out she's VERY gluten-intolerant.
What does that mean? She was heavily risking cancer. For years. Plus in pain all the time when it wasn't necessary.
... -shrugs-
... not a fan of waiting things out. Like, if it's a scratch or a bruise or maybe even something like a twisted limb or so, and gets better day by day, alright. But... to me proper cuts and open wounds are where 'time is a healer' ends. -shrugs-

Oh yeah quick warning - the Origin sale has brought a whole knew species of people to Mass Effect. Gone are the days of reliable Gold games. Games where you can count on your teammates to be at your side. Those exist no longer. *dramatic voice* *pauses for more drama* The new species has risen up. I have seen Adepts using gear to boost tech damage and people using SMGs having gear to improve sniper damage. I have seen Batarian Vanguards (a pair of them) getting sync killed by Banshees 6 waves in a row because they kept using biotic charge on them - and they never learned.
These are the new rules.
1. NEVER start a game unless there is someone who has an N7 rank of at least 200.
2. NEVER start a game with people using common and uncommon weapons on level I (Gold this is).
Or y'know you could play with them against Collectors and use lash to get 'em with possessed abominations or idk lock them in a reactor. They need to be discouraged. There are new people and then there are idiots. They're literally all idiots flooding all the servers XD I'd recommend getting a banner to give yourself some distinction so people won't mistake you for an idiot. :) Not that you play like an idiot but your N7 rank and CP are fairly low. Seriously they are all so stupid. They don't make new people mistakes they make stupid mistakes and then they think they're ready for gold XD
