(There is practical and theory.
The theory is similar to English. In fact, it's probably more difficult.
Two critical essays, intro, 5 paragraphs and a conclusion Part A and Part B.
Part A is the characteristics of the character relating to the question e.g. Their values or strengths/weaknesses. Including a quote.
Part B of the paragraph is how we would play the character according to Voice and Movement. E.g. Pitch, stage proxemics (how close/far away everything is on the stage) body language, volume.
One paragraph, both A and B, is two marks. You do 5 of them for 20 marks.
So it's 20 marks for both essays, but we need to write a lot for marks...
Practical we have to learn lines for two contrasting pieces. I'm doing 'The Steamie' which is about old women in a washroom on new years eve, we're only doing two scenes from that and 'Chatroom' which is about teenagers on an online suicide chatroom which is 7 scenes long. Old vs young, that's our groups contrast.
We need to dress up, we need to use body language and stuff to portray our characters emotions and that's what we get marked on, how well we play the character. We also have to put on accents. Steamie is Glaswegian and Chatroom is American, we're all going for more southern American accents from Arizona.

We didn't have a practical prelim for Drama, I wanted to do it so I knew how I was doing, with costumes and stuff...but everyone else told me to shut up :( So now it's basically just going in there with costumes for the first time and our lines...)

(Yeah but there is 4 people in my group and we have to take cues off of other people. If other people fuck up their lines and jump some I could probably bring it back, but it fucks up the whole thing unless we can keep going from the line they give us. It's completely a team effort, so I can't really read my lines myself cause I need cues of when to say my lines. I need someone else to read in for me. My mum said she would do that with me today.)
