No. For a start, she is not my character. She is 17, I think, and while she is powerful, that's due to raw power, not skill.
She is also not a soldier.
While she is technically alien, as she's from a different planet, her race is human. She comes from a planet with many life forms, some sentient, that are not found on Earth. She does not know what science fiction is, so she doesn't know what aliens are, and didn't know that the spaceship she was on was alien, and instead thought it belonged to one of the races on her planet.)

several things.
First, about the word 'slut':
Elleni was correct in referencing it to the word 'nigger' - although it has a technical definition, and if you called a black person a nigger it would be factually accurate, to do so would be extremely socially frowned upon because of all the negative connotations adn cultural baggage connected with the word. Words are not the sum of their definitions; they're associated with entires histories and experiences.
The word 'slut' is generally used as an insult. Therefore, if you use it, it sounds derogatory, and that fact is irrelevant to whether the word is being used in a factually accurate way.
Also, everyone seems to be pointing out how Gemma is not a slut because she has multiple sexual partners. I would like to take this opportunity to give a nod to the polyamorous inidividuals out there and say how HAVING MULTIPLE SEXUAL PARTNERS IS NOT A BAD THING. WE JUST THINK IT IS BECAUSE OF THE CULUTURE WE LIVE IN.
However, having multiple sexual partners is only okay if all your sexual partners are alright with such an arrangement.
Cheating is never okay, because cheating, essentially, is a breaking of trust. Of course, some breakings of trust are more serious than others. The amount of hurt that comes from the breaking of a trust is more or less (coz social interactions don't work in black and white like maths) directly proportional to how much emotion was put into that trust that was broken in the first place (if that makes any sense . . . ?).
Relationships are built on a basisi of a few key elements, trust being one of them. Relationships are also pretty much entirely created of emotion (well, along with social & cultural stuff. Debatable whether that counts. Probably depends on your definition of 'relationship'). As such, if you break the trust in a major way in the relationship, that's quite a lot of hurt going to be caused there (assuming the other person in the relationship was properly emotionally invested in the relationship and not cheating too).
Yeah. So cheating is bad.
And we all know cheating is bad.

And I think by this point, she's been guilt-tripped enough about it. Because if you think about it, she's been having people have a go at her for this for monoths now.
What is the point of havign a go at people? WHat is the point of punishment?
- To teach people what they did was wrong.
- To make sure they're unlikely to do it again.
- To get revenge.
The first one - Gemma knows cheating is wrong. She's not stupid, adn we've been telling her enough.
The second one - well, if all THIS shit happens whenever Gemma cheats on someone, she's unlikely to want to do it again.
(and if all this hasn't taught her yet, which I think it has but let's just say, then tbh, if she hasn't learn now then continuing in the same vein probably isn't going to do much).
The third one - well. I don't believe in revenge. I understand that hurting someone else helps you feel better, but I think it just causes more hurt. And furthermore, if you're hurting someone else just so you feel better, then you don't really have many grounds to have a go at Gemma.
By this point, I really think trying to move on would be good. You don't have to forgive, and you certainly don't have to forget (forgetting is generally counterproductive. You don't learn that way), but tbh, all it's doing now is just hurting everyone more, imo.

I understand Fera was only trying to have fun, but please try to undeesrand that for some people (ie. me), having people flirt with them makes them very uncomfortable and it really is not fun at all.
(I'm not even especially fond of flirting when it's directed at someone else, although I'm trying to program my brain away from that attitude as it's obviously not very benefical to anyone).

I think bullying is worse than cheating. When it's proper bullying, I mean. In the area where I live, it's common for teenagers to go "Omg you're bullying me!" when someone keeps stealing their rubber. When it's proper serious bullying, it's one of the worst things in the world.
*However, I think it's really very subjective and I don't mind if someone thinks cheating is worse
(I agree Star, I've been bullied twice and I would much rather have someone cheat of my double the amount of times.)

Danni posted a lovely thing the other day related to this, I believe. I can't remember exactly what she said off the top of our head, but she was asking us if we could please try and stick up for people without insulting the person we were arguing against. And I realise that's hard. That's damn hard. Not only because, hey, you're opposing this person, but also because, if you're sticking up for a friend, you tend to be very angry in defence of them and so you can get a little carried away with your typing. I often get quite carried away with my typing. :/
But I think it /would/ all be really nice if we tried to, y'know, argue reasonably (when arguing is necessary) without hating on each other.
I could have done better with that in these last few comments, actually . . . sorry. I'll try harder next time. And I know I keep saying that, but I really do keep trying. It just takes me a while. And it takes everyone else a while too. We're not perfect. And it would be nice if people could acknowledge that, too.

@Savannah: I think it really depends on both the cheating and the bullying. If you have good supportive friends, then bullying is nowhere near as bad as if you have no one, for instance. And if you're really close to your partner and have been with them fifteen years, it'll probably hurt more than if you barely know them and have only been going out a few days.
But yeah. In my opinion, bullying is generally worse.
