Common sense says he knows something, if you remember back when he finished his first draft of TDOTL he said that he was going to be announcing some exciting things coming up. Secretive.
I swear if he's coming to America, Zaffy is taking her LSODM and hitting him with it for making me think way too much.
This is looking very, very bad. Mevolent coming back...but how would he make an Isthmus Anchor? Valkyrie didn't leave anything there (...did she?). So (currently) the only possibility is for Nadir to shunt Mevolent (along with those he choses) back over to Valkyrie's realm. And that would be a Very, Very Bad Thing....

And - that always happens in life. I've been fond of many Bloglandians. They've all left, and the ones who haven't will . . . :/ I miss them. But it's okay, because you meet new awesome people, and although they'll never replace them, they're just as awesome, so y'know . . . 'sall good. :)
Ari left because Alastair. That monster forced my friend to leave. He's nothing more ten a monster. He doesn't deserve to be alive. He should be dead, and stay dead. If I ever get a chance I will find a way to kill off Alastair for good.

And I don't care what people have done. Well, obviously I do care. But you can't degrade someone based on one action, or you'll end up hating everyone. If you looked through my life, you would find something I'd done that was as bad as forcing someone to leave, and if you chose, you could hate me for the rest of my life. Or you could look past those incidents, because we're all wrong, and we all slip up, and we're all horrible monsters sometimes, and love me for who I am. OBVIOUSLY, in Alastair's case he's a sadistic mass-murderer, so you would be utterly justified in hating him and if you look past an isolatory incident, you will merely find a life scattered with thousands of incidents just as bad or worse, but most of us are not sadistic mass-murderers, and most of us can easily be loved.

@Rhydian: It happened off the blog, due to Adra leaving due to . . . circumstances. :/
Basically - Adra went unbalanced. Instead of being really good (which is also, btw, unbalanced, but in the other direction), she went bad, and because a cannibal and just went around murdering and eating people. Alastair found her and they began going around killing and eating people together, and then they began casually flirting with each other, and then they began kissing each other, and then they began making love to each other, and - yeah. :P And so they went around doing that for a while, until Trip managed to sneak up on them and catch them. And he began pulling Alastair apart emotionally, so, like, totally destroying his personality. Adra, meanwhile, made peace with herself and became fully balanced, and she put a symbol on herself that made her go into Hell (like, the one you go to when you die) and mean that only Alastair could get her out. Trip didn't stop destroying Alastair and carried on doing it, leaving Adra in Hell for several weeks. I don't think either of them will ever forgive him for that. And anyway, Alastair managed to make himself not destroyed because copies of himself, and he rescued Adra and they went to Aretha's house. Adra can't walk, can't see, and is pretty broken, mentally. :/ So they're just kind of recuperating at the moment. Adra still loves Trip, but she thinks he doesn't love her. Alastair loves Adra and would do anything for her. Trip still loves Adra but he isn't doing a very good job of it. And they're trying to sort things out for Cara - Adra and Trip's child - because they really want her to be okay.

When you're walking into a shop, you recognise the chocolate by the wrapper. It singposts it. But the actual chocolate is worth a lot more than the wrapper. You but a chocolate bar for the chocolate, after all. I would assume, anyway.
Why would you buy a chocolate bar just for the wrapper and not care about the actual chocolate . . . ? :/

ReplyDeleteBasically - Adra went unbalanced. Instead of being really good (which is also, btw, unbalanced, but in the other direction), she went bad, and because a cannibal and just went around murdering and eating people. Alastair found her and they began going around killing and eating people together, and then they began casually flirting with each other, and then they began kissing each other, and then they began making love to each other, and -
yeah. :P
And so they went around doing that for a while, until Trip managed to sneak up on them and catch them. And he began pulling Alastair apart emotionally, so, like, totally destroying his personality.
Adra, meanwhile, made peace with herself and became fully balanced, and she put a symbol on herself that made her go into Hell (like, the one you go to when you die) and mean that only Alastair could get her out.
Trip didn't stop destroying Alastair and carried on doing it, leaving Adra in Hell for several weeks.
I don't think either of them will ever forgive him for that.
And anyway, Alastair managed to make himself not destroyed because copies of himself, and he rescued Adra and they went to Aretha's house.
Adra can't walk, can't see, and is pretty broken, mentally. :/
So they're just kind of recuperating at the moment.
Adra still loves Trip, but she thinks he doesn't love her.
Alastair loves Adra and would do anything for her.
Trip still loves Adra but he isn't doing a very good job of it.
And they're trying to sort things out for Cara - Adra and Trip's child - because they really want her to be okay.

I think that's about it. :)
