I thought the title of this entry was smart and funny, effectively conveying the relief at another tour being over and done with in a winning and whimsical manner. But how many of you are going to miss the John Lennon reference and just puzzle at the "Happy Christmas| part? Ah well. Too late now to go changing it.
So, another tour bites the dust. This was a fun one, lots of people turning up, lots of glares and scowls and cakes and pictures and fist-bumps and many, many moody looks into camera... All in a day's work, really. Thanks to everyone who came along — it was tiring but I had a blast.
And now I'm home, and it's time to get organised.
There's going to be some cool news coming your way over the next few weeks and months. Some of it will make you go "Cool!" and some of it will make you grin. Some of it, of course, will make you weep, as it's coming up to that time when I'll have to start plotting out Book Nine. Most of you will still be reeling from the events of LSODM, so you'll know not to trust me. For some reason, the tagline from the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre is floating through my head...
"Who will survive, and what will be left of them?"
The good news is, now that the pressure of editing and touring is off, I'll be able to get back to my regular (ahem) blogging and Twitter routine, so I should be chatting to you guys a little more often than I have been. Hopefully.
The fact is, I'm going to be incredibly busy for the next year. Want a brief rundown on what I have ahead of me?
1) Plot, write and finish Book Nine by March.
2) Work on Mystery Project 2.
3) Write 10 brand new short stories for the Skulduggery Collection out next Summer.
4) Work on Mystery Project 3.
5) Devise, plan and start writing New Book Series by September 2014.
6) Work on Mystery Project 4.
All that, and blog and tweet and play with my nieces. Oh, and my nephew.
Nephew, you say? But Golden God, you don't HAVE a nephew. I do now, gentle Minion. Born this afternoon, weighing in at over 9 pounds, Baby Skulduggery is now part of my Baby Army of Terror, and he is to be feared.
(Okay fine, my sister hasn't OFFICIALLY named him Baby Skulduggery, but come on... How could she NOT?)

Today I missed the series 4 final of Doctor Who on TV. I was extremely dreppressed because of that.

Title change (am doing it in sync with my character on Mass Effect 3's multiplayer - just because all the titles on there are pretty awesome).
I am now a 8ft tall robot which is pretty much indestructible.
I unlocked him on a random (and bad) game pack, so the chances of getting him was like 0.00001%. Because he was a super-rare. And it was a pack meant for 'common-medium'.
Anyway, for those who I saw yesterday I mentioned that my previous character was stabbed by a very powerful enemy called a Banshee. And unfortunately died.
This time, when my Geth Juggernaut met a Banshee, it tried to stab me - failed - and then I just stood next to it draining its energy.
And I also fought a Praetorian, which is like the most powerful enemy in the game... it's like a giant floaty spider thing with two particle cannons (beams capable of ripping things apart), and it has a biotic barrier AND armour for protection.
I was fighting it at point blank range by draining its energy. Yes, I am that awesome.
Of course, I could have shot it with my sniper, but where's the fun in that?
I also had a melee fight with a giant mech, which I won.
Mwhahaha I am powerful.

The Banshees are by far the worst, they scream as soon as they come into the battle, scream as they die... and they kind use biotic jumps (like teleports) to slowly get closer towards you. And if they get too close to a normal character they'll stab you and lift you up in the air.
I just laughed when one tried and started draining its energy when I was my Geth.

Today in English this girl on my table asked another "When did Crooks start trusting Lennie?" And I got into an argument with her over whether or not Crooks trusted Lennie (he doesn't. He wasn't confiding in Lennie, he was just ralking at him. After fumbling for a bit, I came up with the good metaphor of it being like when someone's friends with someone because they're good at English abd they want to steal ideas. They don't actually like the person, or want to be friends wirh THEM. They just like them for what they have, like being friends with someone so you could borrow their rubber. Crooks doesn't trust in Lennie. He simply trusts in Lennie's inability to hear and remember. I didn't say this, but it's like un Linger, when Cole turns into a wolf and Isabel tells him that sge killed her brother and that she shouldn't have told him his kiss sucked. She wasn't telling Cole, because if she had, she would have told him when he was human and could hear. She wanted to tell Cole but couldn't because another part of her was stopping her, so she pretended she was telling him and did the next best. Crooks wanted to tell a person, but another part of him was stopping him talking to people (that part was stopping him because of the discrimination and segregation, just to clarify), so he pretended he was abd did the next best. He didn't tell Lennie. He told the Lennie-shaped glass wall seperating Lennie from the world, the one that stopped Lennie hearing or being heard.
