And then the mother will start shaking the poor girl. "She has. A tattoo. Of your character. ON HER FACE."
And I'll peer closer. "Is that what it is? I thought it was a freckle."
"It takes up her ENTIRE face!"
"I thought it was a big freckle. Are you going to sue me now?"
"YES!"
And that's when the ninjas attack.

It asks you to use metaphors, similes and adjectives wherever you can, and in the paragraph it gives you, they overuse them.
They say it makes your story more exciting, but I think too many makes it annoying. *nods*

Of course it does. And I find if I have too much description, my brain doesn't take it in. I've read chapter before where they start with describing a place, and I'll read a page of description without taking any of it in, and then the speaking starts and I suddenly go what where are they what happened? and have to go back and reread the description again.
Description makes stuff boring. :)
But school writing and home writing are different things, in my mind . . . At school, I do stuff to try and get levels. At home, I try and write cool stories. School isn't proper writing. When I fail to remember this, my school writing gets critisised. Often for informality; I try to write how people think. We could told to write a diary entry once and I wrote it how a real person would write a diary entry exceot with better describingness, then I got told off for informality. When REAL people write diaries, they ARE informal. I was getting into character. *glares*

(Cougar and Husky are the two local-ish college teams. I don't really watch sports and my parents didn't go to either of them, so I can't say I really care. I'm slightly Husky, though, 'cause of University Bookstore)

Alison Edgley stood on the pier, staring out as the water crashed violently against the rocks below, with her sin-black hair tied back out of her face. She wasn’t focussing on anything; really, she looked to be rather distant from everything.
She didn’t need to turn around to know she had company. It was at exactly the same time every day he visited the pier, 01:39 pm. She didn’t need to look at her watch to know the time, because she always made it to the pier five minutes before he did. It was sort of a schedule they worked out by accident.
“Any news?” she asked, her eyes still trained on the water.
“No,” he admitted in that velvety voice that everyone seemed to find so comforting. “Nothing, not a trace of magic, a whisper, a trail of blood… or a body...” his voice trailed off.
“So there’s still hope?” Alison asked, looking up finally. She spun on her heel to face him, to see the skeleton detective in his true form for once.
“I doubt it,” he mumbled.
Alison stared into his hollow socket-eyes for a few moments, “Remember what you told me when I first tried to learn magic, and failed?”
“Don’t lose hope.” He replied, almost sadly.
“Exactly. Don’t lose hope, she could be alive!” Alison smiled for the first time in weeks before speaking again; “After all…” she clicked her fingers, summoning a small flame in her hand.
She watched the flame dance around her hand for a few moments, before it extinguished itself.
Skulduggery looked up at her, and she grinned at him. It took a few moments before either of them said a word, then she felt Skulduggery smile.
“Magic,” he said.

Especially when you have to stay on a coach for three hours to get there and another three hours to get back. We were gone for the whole day and we didn't even win or anything. *grumbles*
That was a whole day of my lovely weekend gone.
Mind you, this weekend hasn't been that lovely. Yesterday was okay. I had String Orchestra in the morning and they squeezed every last drop of energy out of us like we were lemons and they wanted every last drop of our juice (waste not, want not), but I in general like making birthday cards (five hours on them is a bit much though)! Today was BLERGH. I had church in the morning, and then history, history, history, history! Six hours and counting! *dies*
I know it'll get much worse in year ten and I'm like noooooooooooooooooooooo I won't live then! D:

I feel so sorry for you Star. SIX hours of history. Your brain must be melted.
That just what the competition I had last week was like. Except it only took one hour to get there and one hour to get back. So it wasn't as bad.

That's what Mara said a month or two ago. Why I remember these things, I have no idea. :P
Please take no offense, Mara, but I don't think I could ever obsess over them like you do. For one thing, I don't want to spend hours being Directionery, because I only have a limited amount of time on this Earth, I'm busy enough anyway and I don't want to get into anything else (also the reasin I don't want Facebook). For another thing, I like to think of myself as too intelligent to be drawn into the mass conspiracy of the media. The celebrities just show the public one huge lie, I in general believe, and act out their lives like they act out their roles in TV shows. I'm not saying this is true of everyone. It's just my general belief. The media is corrupt and the government is corrupt. *nods nods nods* I like to think I'm too intelligent to be drawn in and fangirl about celebrities like everything I hear and read about them is true, like everything they say is true, etcetera. I want to think of myself as above that, and so I have banned myself from believing that an celebrity always speaks the truth and is perfect. For yet another thing, I still believe Disturbed are the best band ever.

Even with breaks its not right to give you that much homework. Sometimes I don't know if the teachers realise that we have lives outside of school and can't spend wall of output time doing schoolwork.

I wanted to get it all done today, so I didn't have to do it later.
I've planned out the rest of my week. French on Monday, French on Tuesday, French and English on Wednesday, English on Thursday and a quick while on my French.
So then I won't be totally overloaded with History on Monday and Tuesday, and therefore have to learn all my French in two days, plus do my English.
So I'll feel lighter and have more time for coming on here and annoying you all. *pokes*
