Right, well, SOMEBODY at Harper Collins messed up, and I am NOT a happy writer. But, for those of you who may have heard, yes, it is true, you are getting a Tanith Low novella coming you way early in 2013 so, um...
SURPRISE!
Grrrrr.
And before you get carried away with what it might be about or who might be in it, the synopsis provided was an early one, before I'd actually started the damn thing. Biggest change? Ghastly ain't in it. Probably.
So what IS it about, you ask?
It's about God-Killer weapons. Four of them, scattered around the world. Four weapons that could hurt- even kill- Darquesse whenever she arrives. Tanith, being thoroughly devoted to dear Darquesse, does not want these weapons falling into enemy hands. So she recruits a gang of misfits and villains and off she goes to snatch them before the good guys come calling.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to stomp away and find someone to beat up...

HOWEVER, as a result of my obsessive overload, I chose to COUNT out the copies of Death Bringer in that photograph, to see if all thirteen were in the picture. And counting those were very confusing. It took me about three tries to realise this, but...
There were fifteen in the picture.
Also, when they came in the mail, after about 20 minutes of shrieking in excitement,I noticed that the one you sent was different than the one in the picture. The one in the picture said, "DEAD FAMOUS BEST SELLER" or something like that along the top, whereas mine didn't.
So, out of curiosity, what happened to those other fifteen?

Me: *looks at brother wandering around a slightly destroyed building* What are you destroying now?
Brother: Something American.
Me: What?
Brother: I dunno. The Empire State building? That's pretty famous.
Me: *looks at brother's character looking out of window* It also has more than two floors.
Brother: Oh. *starts walking out of building*
Me: *sees a glimpse of white and windows behind him* Is it the White House?
Brother: *turns round and faces building*
Me: Yeah, it's the White House.
Brother: Oh.
Me: Do you know what the White House is?
Brother: No.
Me: It's where the President lives.
Brother: Cool, maybe I can destroy him as well then!
Gah...my mum just ordered me to run up and downstairs 20 times.
