ANOTHER Competition??

London had Justin Bieber turning on its city's lights. Dublin had Michael Buble. And who did my neighbouring village Donabate have to turn on THEIR Christmas lights last Saturday evening? Why, they just had international superstar author Derek Landy drop by to ROCK. THEIR. WORLD.

And verily, their world was indeed rocked.

I was surrounded at all times by a pack of chattering girls, led by my very good friend Molly, whom I had met at the Twilight premiere a few weeks ago. 'Tis a small world indeed. A small, odd world. Filled with small, odd girls, who wouldn't stop talking.

But that's not why I'm here to talk to you today. Specifically, you people with the funny accents. Even more specifically, you people with the funny accents from Australia and New Zealand. I am here to tell YOU people that, good Lordy, we are running ANOTHER create-a-character competition just for you- because I am a kind and gracious Golden God.

I wasn't planning on running another competition quite so soon, but after talking to my publishers I decided to squeeze one last contest into the final few weeks of 2011, and it's all to do with The End Of The World, which is being published in Ireland and the UK in March as part of World Book Day. Now, I'm sure all of you know just how much I love synchronicity, how much I love releasing books at the same time across the world, so we have arranged for TEOTW to be released in Australia and New Zealand at the same time, and it was decided that it should include a brand new and exclusive short story featuring two characters that you guys will have to come up with.

Readers elsewhere need not worry, of course, as this bonus story will be collected along with all the other short stories 'n' stuff sometime soon (or soonish...). And readers in Ireland and the UK will also get a few pages of bonus material in the back of TEOTW, just for being you...

But I digress.

The competition! The deadline is tight, my Australiminions, my New Zeali...minions.... (I'm not sure that works... ahem...). The deadline is 11.59 PM on New Year's Eve in whatever Time Zone you happen to be in, and not a second after!

Because we have this tight schedule, I'm going to give you a few pointers which might improve your chances of winning- pointers which look a lot like ten rules you MUST OBEY.

RULES

1. Readers from Australia- I need a female character from you lot. Readers from New Zealand- I need a male character from you.

2. There will be ONE winner from each country.

3. Be practical when giving them their powers. I couldn't use some FANTASTIC characters from the other competitions because their powers would either have needed some heavy-duty explanation, or the characters were just TOO DAMN POWERFUL.

Restrict yourselves to a discipline of magic we've already seen in the books. Don't make your character someone who can do both Elemental and Adept magic. Don't make your character half-unicorn. Don't make your character Skulduggery's long lost brother. Who is also half-unicorn. Who can do both Elemental and Adept magic.

Be practical!

4. Post your entries HERE, in the Comments Section, which is now off-limits to everyone else! (The Blog entry accompanying this one will be for the usual chatter.)

5. You can post as many times as you want.

6. Before your entry, write this: "I hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work."

7. Understand that I might have to tweak your character in order to get the best fit for the story.

8. I can't think of an eighth rule.

9. Oh, oh! I thought of one!

10. Bring me... a shrubbery.

Hayley 'liberates' things from the Sanctuary.

In my story, the Sanctuary is in the Chifley Tower, but that is open to change.

Derek Landy is one of the 3 authors who have inspired me to be a writer. Congratulations :)

Hermione Hawthorne
Adept
Hermione is an orphan from London who grew a custom to animals. She studied in Zoology from the age of 6, up until her current age of 15. She has sleek, brunette hair, silver eyes, a khaki scarf, a white shirt, leather, brown overcoat, black jeans, crimson glasses, and black boots. Her family was very wealthy, and intelligent enough to take care of herself. When her mother died at birth, he father went into anxiety, and killed himself when Hermione was 8, disregarding the love of his daughter. Hermione moved to Dublin, befriending Valkyrie's reflection at school, then meeeting the real person. Valkyrie introduced her into magic, and chose her discipline; Animalistic.

Hermione has the ability to befriend any kind of animal, natural, or non-natural. After befriending them, she can control them at her will. Her own special ability is being able to shape shift into any animal she likes, connecting with her minions more.

I am writing yet another character description, ENJOY
I hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work

Name: Annie Kindle

Power: Adept; More specifically the power to make people see images. This could scare people by showing false images of scary monsters, or it could be by fooling mortals by covering up a huge magical fight.

Profession: Annie is retired after having a heart attack. She used to work with Scrutinous and Random by fooling mortals.

Age: Annie is only 120 years old

Connections: As mentioned before she worked with random and scrutinous. Not a personal connection but her mum was ghastly's mums friend.

Clothes: Has a green shirt that she absolutely loves. Always wears a scarf, sandals and cargo pants.

Annie has never cared that much about her looks but she is naturally beautiful. Her hair is a milk chocolate colour and hangs freely behind her back.

She doesn't wear make-up, doesn't wear high heels but she can still walk into a room and be the prettiest woman there. Annie does wear one piece of jewellery (a locked locket) given to her by her twin brother who passed away just before Annie had her heart attack.

Traits: A loveable woman, no one cannot get along with her. She is smart, but incredibly modest. She isn't strict but she won't be telling jokes every two seconds.

I've learnt that off by heart!

Kevin and Pete Havelock

Kevin

Average height, blue eyes, red-ish hair, pale and freckled. Is a mortal who knows nothing about magic, twin brother of Pete. Enthusiastic and bubbly personality, jokes about anything and everything 24-7, very outgoing. Likes pizza.

Pete

Identical twin of Kevin. Knows nothing about magic. A bit of a Zack and Cody combination. Pete is shy, almost nerdy, friendly, person, but does joke, just not as often as Kevin.

Carol and Crystal now have boyfriends!

Maria Dread is a middle aged woman who lived in Jamaica for five years working as a drug dealer and assassin. She recently moved to Dublin after finding out that her brother James was threatened by a Sanctuary agent after exposing a form of magic in public. She is not happy about this.
Maria has the power to predict peoples actions when she has met them, she can also control that person and once she has met her/him she knows there true name. She has a reputation for causing trouble and murdering people on her bad side. She is untrustworthy but if something benefits her she will do it.
She is an Adept and once played a trick on Mevolent that made him look like a fool in front of his army.
A.K.A a very charming woman.

I hope you like her, if you choose her it would be an honour. I am Australian by the way.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!

Thought I'd do a quick, straight-to-the-point bio for my character Emalee Belkind:

Name: Emalee Belkind (Pronounced Emily Bell-Kind)

Personality: Emalee has a nice, cheerful, likable and easy to get along with personality. She is a joker and will usually engage adversaries in a bit of mid-brawl banter. She will usually "bend" the rules. She is very creative and will become incredibly focused during a task and will usually talk to herself about subjects varrying from the universe to top hats.

Age: 57 but appears to be in early twenties

Magic: Adept. Able to understand any technology from a simple pulley to computers. Also has some influence over machines)

Hobbies: Inventing, parqor, drawing/painting

Music: Green Day, The Living End, Paramore. She considers 'Monster' by Paramore to be her persoal theme song although she is yet to "stop the whole world from turning into a monster"

Appearance: Average height. Long, flowing hair sometimes described as a dark blonde, other times as a light brunette. Her eyes are stunning blue. Emalee usually wears clothes with plenty of pockets for storage of gadgets and a satchel slung over her right shoulder. When off the job she will usually wear white shirt, jeans and a brown jacket.

Fighting: Although Emalee is in top physical condition, she is more of a thinker than a doer. She has some experience in hand-to-hand combat, enough to hold her own in a scuffle and is a amatuer at parqor.

Weapons/Transportation: Emalee is an inventor and carries a tranquilizer dart gun of her own design that also works with a grappling hook attachment. Gaurding her workshop are security drone in the form of teddy bears (with kung-fu grips). Her main mode of transportation is her motor-scooter that she has filled with gadgets including ejector seat and an oil-slick despensor on the back.

Quotes: "The faster you grow up, the less you have to live"
"Bugger"

*I'm Australian, but I'm sorry, I had to make a male character, I've been saving this one for a while.

Deathpryer: Male, Adept, intelligent, mid 30's, intelligent. Power: Necromancer, Item of Power; sword. Appearance: Wears black, formal clothing, occasionally a top hat, and has dark purple hair.

Personality: Deathpryer is a dark, evil person, with no intentions but to further his own ambitions.

Back story: He was raised solely by his Father, and trained in Necromancy by the same man. Deathpryer killed his Father at age twenty. He has little friends, and those whom are his friends, aren't trusted. Leaving Ireland after killing his Father, he travelled abroad, eventually settling in Australia for a few years. Hearing the troubles of the Faceless ones and the threat of Darquesse, he returned to Ireland in search of fame.

Egotistical and money loving, he had been a miser whilst in Australia, accumulating a large fortune.

*Another footnote; apologies that I couldn't make a female character, but this one has been in my head for years now. I do hope you choose me. Use Liam as the Given name ^_^

Alll right Lois, Tilly and Xzenya step out of the way for some serious evil.

Name: Violet Harass

Violet has long black hair and deadly storm eyes. She wears elegant dresses with slits up the side, that makes it easy to pull out her knife. QShe wears tailor made high heeled shoes (not by Ghastly, some Australian ex- criminal) that are easy to run in. Violet is very beautiful with her long black hair that sometimes springs out a little curl or when her her stormy eques seem to flash with violet lightning. But don't be fooled, this is an act every beautiful movement is an act. Men are drawn to her as she is like a siren, a beautiful cold blooded killer.

She started of in the magic world as an innocent young teenager (16 to be exact.) she was in the Australian sanctuary when there was a massacre, she saw 18 people killed right in from of her eyes. Violet went home that night feeling shaken up. She didn't return to work in the morning: she was a different person.

She is now 21 and on the Australian sanctuarys wanted list somewhere around 1st and 2cnd. She prides her self in this as she was fought by no one to kill like she does. Violet will draw someone in and take them to an ally or a place of the like. She is creative with her victims and likes to draw pictures... Her latest body was found in an ally in Sydney. Violet recently met Fletcher Renn and is tricking him into Thinking they are friends by taking a fake name 'Georgie Crest.' When she hears that Skulduggerey Pleasant the skeleton detective and his side kick Valykrie Cain are coming to Australia to look for Violet she goes into murder mode and decides to make a real warm welcome for Pleasant and Cain.

Ahh, whoops, forgot to mention what ,magic she does. Violet is an adept who can bring out her gist.

Another Entry (I hope I win)

I hereby give my golden god, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work.

Name: Lady Lost

Power: Child of the spider. Lady is a different child of the spider though. Instead of vomiting up spiders she climbs up walls and across ceilings.

Profession: Lady is now Madam Mists private pupil. Before she joined Mist though she worked in a circus. Her uncanny abilitiy to stick to things managed to get her a position as an acrobat so she had to remain fit. Whilst and acrobat she learnt how to do flips, cartwheels and kicks.

Age: Lady is around 22 years of age

Connections: Lady's only connection is with Madam Mist being her private pupil. Mist wants to keep her as a secret weapon so no-one knows about her.

When Lady left the circus Madam Mist made her through away everything but the mask. She is now dressed in black tights and flat black shoes. She wears a red and black dress and her lips are green. By Madam Mists instructions she has to always wear the mask.

My fanfic for my character Lady Lost (this is only the beginning of the story but I like the cliffhanger I left it on so I left it there...
For Now

Lady Lost sat cross legged in her room. For most people It wouldn’t be a suitable room for a 22 year old but Lady was grateful for Madam Mist’s hospitality. The stone-brick walls were covered with moss and some substance dripped from the ceiling, forming a puddle in the corner of the room. The room was plain, it had a bed, a clock, a toilet and a sink. When she needed showers Madam Mist would take her to another room.

Lady suspected that the room used to be a prison cell despite Madam Mist denying it. Lady groaned, uncrossed her legs and placed her feet on the cold stone floor. It was 5:30am and that meant madam mist would be expecting Lady to be up and ready in five minutes. Shrugging of her T-shirt and shorts that she slept in Lady pulled on her dress. Just as she was adjusting her mask the tapping of high heels against stone alerted her that madam mist was coming.

A few minutes later Lady was sitting in another room. It was practically the same room as her bedroom but much bigger and it had a lot more stuff in it. A chalkboard was at one end of the room and a map of the world was pinned onto a wall. A circular table was in the dead centre of the room. To the right a rope hung down seeming to go up a lot further than the ceiling.

“Normal training?” Asked Lady. Madam Mist turned, to her. She was breathing heavily and Lady knew that meant she was about to go off into a boring lecture. Lady respected and would do whatever Madam Mist said but that didn’t mean that Mist didn’t bore her.

“Lady Lost how dare you say something like that” Mist snapped as Lady prepared herself “To say something as casual as what you just said in the presence of someone above you would be bad enough but to not even address the person thats despicable. Perhaps you are not ready for your task.” Lady’s ears perked up

“Task, what Task” Lady said enthusiastically and Madam Mist smiled

“Why something I need you to get for me, I am outraged that even being an elder for the council I cannot simply take an item from the repository. Outrageous it is.”

“What do you need me to get for you Madam Mist” Lady said holding back the smile that threatened to break out on her face.

“If your so willing to help me then perhaps you are worthy of the task. There is an item that we got quite recently. I told you about the assassin Tesseract did I not?” Lady nodded “His mask is being kept in the repository, you’ll no it when you see it. Apparently this mask kept him alive for centuries beyond his death date. Lady Lost, I’m going to live forever”

Gemini? Do you want me to post the Hayley story so far now?

Jakespeare said...

yes please this is the rest of my story so far btw still more to come!

Lady watched the pub. It was according to Mist abandoned but yet a light was on. Creeping from the covers of the tree Lady quickly ran across the street and made it the bar. It would be foolish to go through the front door but she had an idea.

Getting ready to run she quickly rapped her knuckles against the door before sprinting down the street. Lady peaked her head out from the back-alley she was hiding in to see a man open the door. He was average height and had bits of his skin falling off.

“No-ones there sir” he called out

“Then shut the door you imbecile” Someone else called out “Its getting cold in here Thrasher you idiot, don’t stand there gawking. The man gave a sniffle and went inside, the door thunking closed behind him. Lost shrugged and crept around the back. She could handle two men, she doubted they where more.

Drawing her knifes Lady kicked the back door open. She didn’t stop but kept on running until she reached the room were the men were before and she was right there were only to many. Or maybe one and a half men.

Lost stopped in her tracks when she saw the head on the table. She felt like screaming. The man that had answered didn’t fight that urge as well as she did and he let out a high pitched scream when he saw the knifes in her hands.

“Who are you men!” Lost shouted. The head sighed as the other man kept screaming.

“Shut up Thrasher!” shouted the head and thrasher stopped.

“Who are you, oh I know” said Lost. Madam Mist had told her that there were two zombies that were seen around town and Lady instantly knew these were them.

“My name is the killer supreme” said the head “and unfortunately this is my assistant thrasher”

“Your zombies”

“Yes we are, now would you like to leave this bar right now or you’ll face our wrath”

“I don’t have that much wrath sir” piped up thrasher

“Shut up Thrasher!” said the head

“I have no intention of dying or getting hurt today mr zombie so would you please move out of my way or you’ll face my knifes wrath”

“Thrasher kill her”

“Do I have to” Thrasher said

“Yes”

“ But she has knifes!”

“Yes and you have teeth, attack her or I’ll walk away from here without you”

“You have no legs sir”

“I’ll roll out of here without you” Thrasher stood there for a moment and then ran straight at Lady Lost as fast as he could which for a zombie isn’t that fast. Lady adjusted her mask and prepared to meet him.

Thrasher reached her and attempted to bite her shoulder. Lost cartwheeled out of the way before jumping onto the ceiling. Thrasher whimpered and fell to the floor as Lady slashed at him with her knifes.

“Your pathetic thrasher” said the head “Fine take what you want but you should know if I still had my body and health you would be lying on the ground dead”

“But you don’t” Lady Lost said as she made her way behind the counter. She found the hatch and went underground as the head yelled at Thrasher. She was in.

Hayley looked over her shoulder, clutching a cloaking sphere. She was running through the back streets of Sydney away from the Chifley Tower. She dodged trashcans, jumped dumpsters and sidestepped pedestrians. She sprinted into an empty alley and hid in the shadows. She saw the Cleavers walk into the alley. There were three of them. It was only thanks to her sheer speed that she was here and not in shackles. She knew this alley like the back of her hand. She silently stepped up onto the loose brick in the wall behind her. With out a sound, she stood on the dumpster next to her. She ran off and jumped, and ran up the wall whistling all the while. When she reached the top of the building she looked down and laughed at the Cleavers. Hayley twisted the cloaking sphere on. Without a care in the world she flipped across the top of Sydney. She was headed for Lavender Bay. She jumped off a building rolled just as the cloaking sphere clicked off. She walked casually across the Harbour Bridge. She stopped halfway across and looked over the edge. She checked the area around her. There was no one there. She grabbed the railing and vaulted over the edge. She gripped the underside of the bridge with her left hand and pulled on the harness she had installed with her right. She clicked the harness on and slid towards North Sydney.

She dropped off the bottom of the Harbour Bridge and got a ferry to Lavender Bay. She hopped off the ferry and strolled down the beach. She then ran up one of the rock ledges and lay down and waited for her employer to arrive. Soon enough she saw shadows gather and Conner Sickle stepped out.
‘Do you have it?’ He asked, in earnest. Hayley took the cloaking sphere out of her leather jacket and held it.
‘My payment?’ She said lazily. He reached into his pocket and waved it.
‘Got it. Now give me that.’ He said. Haley shook her head.
‘Doesn’t work like that, buster. Give me the cash.’ Conner frowned and gave her the money. She counted it and smiled.
‘It’s been nice doing business with you sir.’ She said bowing. She twisted the cloaking sphere and flipped into the tree behind her. She grinned. She may have done some bad stuff, but she didn’t work with necromancers. She dropped back to the ground and threw a rock in the trees. She then ran in the other direction laughing. What a sucker. She was heading back to the Sanctuary for a ‘special meeting’. Of course, she would be giving them their toy back. For a price. She stopped next to her motorbike, a Suzuki Hayabusa. She swung her leg over the seat. She had gotten her licence long before any of her friends, because she chose a bike over a car. She revved and drove away.

Twenty minutes later Hayley parked in the very bottom floor of the Chifley Tower. This place gave her the creeps. It made you feel like all of Sydney could be flattened and you would never know. She walked to the staircase and pressed one of the bricks. A second set of stairs opened. She walked down them and saw Skulduggery Pleasant waiting. She pulled out her Mark 23 in a flash and had it trained on Skulduggery. While keeping the gun at Skulduggery Haley flicked her eyes to the other to people standing at the bottom of the stairs. There were two girls. One was tall and had dark hair and eyes. She had a necromancer ring around her finger. She had to be Valkyrie Cain. The other was short, had long brown hair and hazel eyes. She had a sword at her waist.

Sparky Braginski said...

‘Hello Hayley. How long has it been?’ Skulduggery said cheerfully. Hayley scowled.
‘Seven months. How have you been?’ She clicked the safety off. Skulduggery waved his hand and the gun flew out of Hayley’s grip.
‘Fine now that there isn’t a gun pointed at me. And you?’ Skulduggery said.
‘Great. I’m on the list if you were wondering.’ Skulduggery stepped out of her way. She picked up her gun and hurried past Skulduggery. She walked to the foyer and sat waiting. Five minutes later Skulduggery and the girls came in with a boy with silly hair, a man with scars on his face and Erskine Ravel. She brushed some dirt off the bottom of her foot.
‘Are you Hayley Skirmish?’ The scared man said. Hayley looked up.
‘Yes. Who are you, and why don’t you want to know?’
‘Ghastly Bespoke. We need your help.’
‘And why should I help you? I’m a freelance, not an agent.’
‘That may be true, but we need everyone, and your abilities are required.’ Ravel said. Hayley stood up.
‘First, I want to know who you all are.’ Skulduggery stepped forward.
‘Fletcher, Ghastly, Erskine, Valkyrie and Sparky.’ He gestured to each person as he named them.

I hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work.

Taken Name: Eevee Elliot (alternatively known as “E.V.” Elliot)
(Given Name: Isabel Fitzpatrick)
Nationality: Australian
Magical abilities: Adept – voice projection/”throwing”, mimic

Description: Eevee is Adept, with her skills manifesting themselves in her voice: she is able to project her voice so it appears to originate away from her body (known distance: six metres away from herself) and has minor mimicking/voice-changing abilities. Due to her magic seeming to be a parlour trick somewhat, Eevee has never been overly welcomed or regarded in the magical community, or her magical family.

This may also be due to her tendency to gamble and commit petty crimes. Additionally, she is frequently accused of cheating/hustling – which is, more often than not, true. Eevee uses her magic to aid her efforts whenever possible.

She moved from Australia to Ireland at age 19 and claims this was due to a wish to travel, but was most likely to distance herself from her family and gain access to a whole new market of gamblers where her reputation had not yet preceded her. Eevee’s talent would make her an exceptional ventriloquist, if she did not find traditional ventriloquist dummies disturbing, or found a means of making ventriloquism more profitable than her regular illicit affairs.

Name-The shadow
Age-No one knows
Has limited Necromancer skills, how ever is the most feared assassin in the southern hemisphere. Rarely speaks but has a strong kiwi accent when he does. Expert in poisons. Uses his necromancy skills to keep his face/body in shadow so none of the people hiring him can see his features. Kills people by becoming someone unassuming in there life and then kill them with shadows/poison when they least expect it. For example-becoming a friendly waiter at a cafe the target often goes to then poisoning there food.

I am from Australia and I thought of an awesome character called Amelia Munday. Amelia has ebony black hair that falls down to her waist and even darker skin. Her eyes are green and shine with magic.
Amelia is an Adept, her power is that she can use her hair to fight because it is mainly made of loads and loads of keratin, thick muscle and some other new bacteria that no-one knows about.
Amelia always wears blue, and is a very powerful, er, magicker.

i'm an Aussie and this my better-than-yours character Rosie sparrow.
Rosie is an adept and her power is a forcefield. say someone were to throw a fireball at her, she would freeze it in mid-air, then send it back to the owner. she also packs a damn good punch and is very feisty although she secretly melts over cheesy romance novels and dream dates.
Rosie is blond, and has a blunt fringe. her hair is halfway down her back and is also fluffy and light. she is super-duper smart and won't go anywhere without some crisply ironed clothes, her fantastic fashion sense and her straw hat. she LOVES her straw hat.

I, Lilian Thai, hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work.

Extending a train of thought:

Australia is a good place to be an Elemental. They have lots to work with: there are a hundred passionately coastal towns and cities, and in the summer months practically everything is begging to be lit on fire. We're the sort to say, "Okay, you only have one arm but you're a good Elemental. Yeah, you can keep working."

So: is the country less accommodating towards its Necromancers?

Picture one called Morgana Furor: lonely, inexperienced and weak. Death becomes almost tangible to you, where others can only feel or smell it. Imagine the corners of shadows twitching as you watched, as if in greeting. You have no official Temples to turn to; the few Necromancers from overseas who tried and failed to spread the lore of the Order are long gone. The social climate is simply wrong.

So Morgana Furor has nothing. She trains, intensely, bringing her body to the peak of efficiency, as one would repeatedly slide a knife along a whetstone to sharpen it. Hard work, but she feels it every time she moves - she could, if she continued, become an unstoppable fighter. Mastering death magic would add so much.

As it is, Morgana Furor will apply to become a Cleaver. Ignore the impulses in her chest and fingers when she sees a shadow. Once she puts on the visor and takes the scythe in her hands, a weapon cruel and efficient much like she has learned to be... She can let herself go, then. Be utterly ruthless. Get noticed.

Oh, she could be ruthless, and she would get noticed.

The last bit of my story for my character Lady Lost:

A little while later Lady Lost emerged into the foyer of the sanctuary. No one was about so Lost made her way into one of the corridors of the sanctuary. Before she had left Madam Mist had made sure that she knew the way to the repository off by heart.

Back in the olden days the place would be crawling with cleavers. At the moment the place was barren and Lady Lost reached the Repository without any hassle. Two cleavers stood on guard and they looked at her as she approached. Lady drew her knifes and the cleavers moved quickly towards her.

The first one tried to chop her head off and Lady ducked under it and cut it along its belly. The cleaver fell but the other one took its place. Lady twisted out of the way of the cleavers blade but the cleaver brought the handle around and knocked it into her knees. Lady fell and rolled and the cleaver kicked the knife out of her left hand.

Lady managed to do a flip and landed on the ceiling. The cleaver looked upwards but now was on the defensive side and Lady was fueled with new. The cleaver was watching Lady and walking backwards and he tripped over his dead colleague. Lady dropped down while the cleaver fell back and stabbed it. Lady retrieved her other knife and walked into the room.

Lady instantly recognised the mask and hurried over to it getting out a small bag which Madam Mist had instructed her to put the mask in. After the mask was in the bag and the bag was on her back Lady turned to exit.

Two people stood in front of the doors. A tall man and a dark haired woman that Lady Lost instantly recognised as Skulduggery Pleasant and Valkyrie Cain.

“Seeing that there is two dead cleavers outside and I just witnessed you putting something in your bag I’m presuming your not here to have a look at the sanctuary” Lady didn’t say anything “I’ll presume that” Skulduggery said moving closer to Lost “and I’m going to have to ask you to surrender” Skulduggery drew a gun and Lost kicked his leg.

Skulduggery fired and missed and Lady closed in on him. Skulduggery threw a vicious punch that Lost missed and in return Lost swept his feet from under his body. Skulduggery hit the ground and Lady grabbed his gun and went onto the ceiling.

Valkyrie charged forward and Lady flipped over her. Before Valkyrie could turn around Lady had the gun pressed against the back of her forehead. Lady slowly backed away as Valkyrie stayed still. Lady opened the door and ran.

Skulduggery was close behind her but she couldn’t match the speed of Lady. Lady fired backwards and all though it missed skulduggery he hesitated. Lost sped out the foyer door, and tripped. She rolled and didn’t lose her speed but she dropped the gun and didn’t stop to pick it up. Lost sprinted to the trees, didn’t look back she just thought of the task she had just completed for Madam Mist. Lost smiled.

Aussie! :D Jeez, I've been SO out of it, I JUST saw this competition! :D

I hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work. :D

Name; Annebelle Klim

Power; The ability to control diary products {I thought it woud be funny!}

Attraction to said power: Parents were dairy farmers and raised her to love a cows.

Appearance; wears overalls constantly, including when sleeping. She had overall PJs made. She has a little cow badge, which her parents gave her. She never takes it off. She has wavy blonde hair that cascades down her back like a waterfall, she had brown eyes despite this. She's tall and thin, because of her days of working on the farm and her father's height.

Quirks; Drinks Iced Tea, doesn't know what google is, she thinks computers are made from the devil :)

Background in magic; She only learnt she had powers when she could levitate her cow, Patty. She considered it to be normal. Alas her parents were amazed! They sent her to Ireland immediately; for reasons unknown.

Behaviour; She's rather quirky and eccentric, she made a pact with her cow, Patty, to keep her world-devastating powers under control.

Ah, Chelsea, I've heard the Dullahan theory... :P I've been nursing a theory that Tanith's true name would be used to order her body to eject the Remnant itself. It would of course be excruciating.

I like me some Remnant!Tanith and Sanguine romance, anyway. In a certain light, they're adorkable together. In another, they're badass as all hell. What's not to love? ^^

Oh. Right. Word of God. Tanith doesn't truly love him.

Mistah Landy, I've a bone to pick with you... :P

There's a Wild Mass Guessing page on Skulduggery Pleasant's TV Tropes page, if you've heard of it. Someone, ONE BLESSED PERSON, predicted/guessed the major twist in the middle of Death Bringer. Still coming up with theories over there. A friend of mine guessed last year that Nye would be the new team doctor after Kenspeckle. Though the "make Tanith die and bring her back" theory seems verrry iffy to me. :P

This series is too awesome to end. I want to still be reading about 25 year old Valkyrie when I'M 25. :D

Remember me- i made the character Corrin Alabaster
There are a few things i forgot to mention, actually thats a lie, these are things that came into my head only a few minutes ago. ok, here i go.

Corrin comes from an aristocratic family in the magical community. The family is like royalty, or as close as. Actually its more like the Volturi from twilight...(my sister told me, so dont think i read them or anything LOL)...except without the enforcing of the magical law. The family consists of three leaders that sit on three thrones all day and hardly ever get to do anything interesting.

Corrins family was originally from Greece, but had to leave when the war with mevolent broke out, one of the safest places to go to was Australia, seeing as it is a cradle of magic, Xanatos thought he could get some degree power in a new country, a country with so much potential.

The first leader, and i guess the overall leader of the whole family is Xanatos Malice. Xanatos is also a necromancer, and also happens to be Corrins Grandfather, he is a just man, always thinking about the good of the family, and being a good and sometimes kind leader. (Xanatos would of been my character, if the Australians were doing male characters)

The next leader is Horus, Xanatos's brother.
And the final leader is Saverce, Corrins cousin, and the youngest leader. Saverce is a vampire.

Xanatos, after hearing of his daughter and her husbands death, killed the killers whole family in one single and bloody night, and despises Solomon wreath for killing the man that killed his daughter, before Xanatos could get to him.

Corrin looks up to Xanatos, sometimes even seeing him as her father. Corrin also has a high position in the Necromancer order, because of her grandfathers influence.

Servace has a high dislike for Corrin, because of Xanatos favoring her. Even though, Xanatos game him the third position of the leaders when it came up. He once tried to get her killed, sending a child of the spider to kill her, but she disposed of the child-spider easily, nobody knows that servace had any involvement in her attempted assassination

The family is currently having a family war with another family. Sometimes with fights breaking out in the street, and the Australian Elders even coming to the family manor, to tell Xanatos to stop the bloodshed.

Corrin tries to stay away from the family politics.

The kind of feeling im trying to get, is a sort of godfather (first movie) feeling, where the leading families are trying to kill each other for more power in the magical community.

Hope you can find it interesting

Mortimer Bertino is the name I've decided on, yes I realize it sounds like a blokes name but I don't care, I decided that if it's a chick I'm attempting to create then she can be a tomboy or a lesbian even seeing as it would be her taken name not her given name. Frankly I couldn't think of another name quite so epic.

She is an adept that has a magically enhanced memory, and she is able to instantly recall everything that she has heard, seen, read etc.

She could even be an information source like china sorrows.

Florine is from France, but she ran away to an English speaking country, thinking that it would be easy… she doesn’t speak very much English, at all.

Appearance: Lightly curled chestnut hair. Crystalline blue eyes. Tanned, but only very slightly. Black clothing- although the colour doesn’t suit her. She has adapted to the colour because it was all her parents would let her wear.

Sparky Braginski!

Magic- Sparky can make electricity stream out of her fingers, she can make it crackle around her hands so that when she punches someone they get electrocuted, if she claps a powerful shockwave throws everything in every direction off their feet but often hurts Sparky more than the enemy, can make fireworks to distract the dumber opponents such as zombies, can make electricity run through her bloodstream making her run faster, when she is aggravated in a large crowd of people she can punch the ground sending a ripple of energy in every direction sending everyone except Sparky herself flying off their feet, if she splays her hands a weak wave of electricity can jumble brainwaves and send people into confusion she loves doing this in crowded shopping centres during Christmas season for some unknown reason, and the ability to manipulate people.

Appearance- Same 3/4 length jacket as Val's first one, cargo pants, t-shirt colours always red or green or black. Long straight brown hair. Freckles. Freakishly pale skin. Short. Hazel eyes.

Background- Has known about herself being magic at a young age, but unable to find anyone else with magic has trained herself. Was always interested in electricity, thus using that interest to her advantage and very recently (with Fletcher Renn's help) gotten into LOTS of trouble. Entailing, she's been kidnapped four times. Even though she is VERY Australian, she has a Russian/Irish accent with hints of English and Welsh.

Behaviour- Gets angry easily, but takes a lot to make her show it. She is normally good-natured, but can fly into a rage at a moments notice if you aren't paying attention. Often has excellent ideas. Never gives in ever. Will always bring something up at the worst times.

Wears a belt, with Makhaira hanging quite obviously from her waist.

Sparky is thirteen, as mentioned in the story. That is all.

Also Sparky has...

Well, y'know FEARS...

Deathly afraid of spiders and *hides head in shame* being *mumbles something*

Everyone else: What?

Being tickled, okay? It renders Sparky completely useless and that scares her more than anything else in the world. Really.

*runs into near by nursery and takes as many shrubs as possible*

Shop Owner: You can't take those.
Sparky: Oh uh... *looks into shop owners eyes* You are letting me take these so that I can give them to the worlds most honourable cause. Making Derek-The-Golden-God-Landy love me and use Sparky(ME!) as a character.
S.O: KK.

When wet Sparky has a tendency to shock herself out of lack of control. When she is wet she can't touch anything because she shocks it by accident, and turning any electrical appliance on while she is wet makes all the plugs/power points in the room blow up. Sparky swears only when she does something incredibly stupid. Sparky always has her hair tied up. It varies as to how, but her hair is ALWAYS tied up. She has uncannily good balance naturally. Another thing is that Sparky is always twitching or fiddling with something. Speaking of explosions, Sparky makes pebbles explode when she's bored. I also keep forgetting about this crucial part of my appearance. Sparky is ALWAYS wearing a scarf. Always. It changes colours, styles and patterns, but she is ALWAYS wearing a scarf. She wears one to bed, to meals, to the theatre. She never takes them off.

Catchphrase: 'I'm ready. Are you?' (with sly grin)

Hayley Skirmish

Appearance- 17, Athletic build, Taller than average. Wears a leather jacket at all times. Blue eyes. Her hair is brown with blondes streaks. Has perfectly white teeth. Wears scuffed jeans. Never wears shoes.

Magic- The ability to run up walls and and upside down. She can also flip with ease. Basically her magic is and combination of Tanith's and Springheeled Jack's.

Personality- Has very strong opinions, and you can't change what she believes in. Always says what she thinks, regardless of how other will respond. She is Australian and has an Aussie accent. She is good, but is involved in a feud against the Aussie Sanctuary, because she's a bit like a modern Robin Hood.

Sparky Braginski said...

Hayley drives a Suzuki Hayabusa and always carries a Mark 23 handgun inside her jacket.

Character: Saeta Insolitus (Girl)
Saeta is a young woman in her twenties with long Blonde hair down to the floor. She is english, but was rejected by her family (at a young age) and so moved to australia. Shs still has the hint of an english accent, but is usually unrecognised.
Saeta is always alone and in a depressed state because of her rejection. She wanders around at night, looking for children in trouble. If she finds them, she attacks the enemy with her hair, which she mainly uses for strangling, but can also serve as an extra limb when needed.

Appearance: Terra has short cropped hair that's a very dark green often mistaken as black. She's usually seen in her trandemark jeans, identical to the colour of her hair with a grey v-neck shirt and black leather boots.
Power: she is able to reverse the effects of the earth power and can return an elemental who has used it back to their living state immediately although she is very difficult to find and usually demands a high price for her services

Some Australian shrubs: http://www.wildaboutgardens.org.uk/img/habitats/shrub-garden/large/shrub-garden.jpg

My Charcater is female, as I am Australian.
Name: Rowena Prowess
Physical age (like how old she looks): 23
Power: I just realised that someone else has used electricity, but I was going to use it anyway. Rowena is an Adept and can conduct electricity. So if she was to put her hand on a television, she could change the direction of the current and shoot it out the fingers of her other hand. Also, this means she can dry her hair real quick, because the current just goes ZAP and her hair is dried. Handy, eh?
Now, her appearance: She likes purple and black, and likes to wear gothic looking cocktail dresses. She has short, angular, black hair. Rowena is not fat, nor is she thin, and she is an average height.
Personality: Rowena seems quite morbid and sarcastic, and doesn't trust people easily, as her parents were killed by a family friend when she was 14. However, once one gets to know her, she is quite funny, and loyal.

I'm not sure what else I should say, because I don't want to build the character so much that you wouldn't be able to use it...

Good luck everyone, and Derek; I hope you enjoy reading all of these.

Sabremae said...

Just realised that they probably aren't Australian shrubs, as it's a UK website. My apologies, Golden God.

I hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work. Again.

Name: Nancy Brown
Age (looks): 30
Gender: Female

Nancy is quite plain. Everything about her is normal, and not outgoing. She is a quiet person, and doesn't talk unless it is necessary. She has medium length, blonde hair. Nancy normally wears a knee length skirt, a plain blouse and a cardigan with one button done up. Very un-noticable and dull looking. She works in a library, and lives alone in a plain looking apartment and doesn't socialize much.

Her power: Being rather plain, one would not expect Nancy to be into magic and such, or have an exciting power. She is largely unaware of the magical word around her, and taught herself how to manipulate water, air and fire etc. So she is an Elemental. She uses her magic for everyday things, like making toast with the click of a finger, re-arranging the books in the library with the wave a hand, and many other ordinary things.

She is, as a whole, unoriginal, dull and habitual, and doesn't think outside of the box.

Name: Autumn Blasphemous

Autumn has hair the colour of leaves when they drop (hence the name Autumn.) her eyes are frosty blue and very pale skin. She wears shirts that hide her muscles and shorts or skirts. Autumn has an excellent posture and lots of people think she is as delicate as a snowflake.

Autumn was born into the world of magic and is now 22 even though she looks like she's 18. She knows every move in boxing. She is her own weapon. Autumn took up adapt magic and learnt how to tunnel into the ground. She studies about the ancients and the faceless ones just in case... She's studied harder then ever since she heard about the destruction they caused in Ireland and how Skulduggery pleasant was sucked in to the portal. When she hears that Skulduggery is coming australia she is overjoyed and wants nothing but to help him capture a killer on the loose. This is wear she realizes her talent for solving mysteries.

Autumn choose her last name carefully. Blasphemous, she got it from a doctor episode when the daleks spoke the word she knew that it was meant to be.

Autumn would like to send a shrubbery to Sir Landy but unfortunately she is tied up in studies and detective work.

RULES

I hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work. Even though if it's picked (which it should be) I shall brag about it to my fellow minions and those of the munchkin army and claim it as my own once more.

OK Derek! Here goes..

Dana Shift (lives in Australia)
Adept
Dana shift can change the form of her body(women around the world seeth in envy).(hence the name. Shape shift-Shift-Dana Shift. Get it? I thought it was smart..) she's a known assassin. That is she's known for being unknown, in every job she does she has a different appearance only showing her true face when she's not working but always has the same cover name. That way she can build a reputation. She mainly does it for the money and one day she wants to be the good guy in her story, saving and not killing. In the plot I have in my mind she's sent to kill Fletcher so she tracks him down and has the intent to kill him when she starts getting close to him. He tells her of his back story (Valkyrie), interested she leaves for Ireland and seeks out do-gooders. There you go.
Here O, Golden Knight God, your shrubbery. *hands over shrubbery*

Always wears: -Long sleeve btton up shirt with sleves rolled up to make it short sleeved (Usually white)
-Loosly done tie (Varies in colour, uses it as a femenist statement showing that women can do what men can)
-Jeans
-Sneakers

Here's another one Derek, golden god you are. Whom I give full rights to use this character in your next mindblowing masterpiece.

Joanna Harris
Adept
Height: 163cm
Weight: 54kg
Physical Description: Black hair, short in height, ethnic looking, fit.
Joanna Harris is somewhat of a psychic. That is she can read people's minds and use telepathy. Generic psychic stuff. She can also talk in about every language in the world. Human or otherwise. This allows her to speak to animals which helps her feel like she has friends. She's always been a loner (with humans) but can always connect with animals. For this she always teased in school, called a freak, tree hugger etc. However, she always thought she was destined for something else...
Here is another shrubbery O, lord. *hands over shrubbery*

I give you (Derek Landy) full rights to this character, who is acctually the character from a friend of mine who has been having trouble getting an account so she can send a character, so I shall be putting it up in her place, so if you choose this character, please know that it should all go to my brilliant friend, Bridget.

Gadfly Codex
An Adept who has the ability to tell whether or not people are lying, in word, appearance, or action. A side effect is that she is unable to lie herself. She was previously employed be the Australian Sanctuary, but was fired considering she would give away her their secrets to anyone who asked.

Moved from Africa to New Zealand 20 years ago
Has very dark skin, is lithe but strong, has bleached blonde hair and dark eyes, has a stud in one ear and always wears orange tinted sun glasses. Is quite handsome in a unique way.
Smiles alot and instantly likeable, but is quite calculating and while he appears very friendly he will probably have forgotten you by the next time he sees you. He has very few friends but he is extremely close to them. Power-Adept-necromancer bit he doesn't associate with any of the temples and he prefers to talk he way out of tricky situations. Always wears plain dark t-shirt and jeans. Works at any odd job (magical or other) and travels quite often.

Calypso Dreamer.

Calypso Dreamer has black hair with blue streaks and sea green eyes. She has very pale skin and wears jeans, t-shirts and long brown coats. Calypso is very tall and skinny. She wears black, long converses and thongs on her feet.

She is 14 years old and is a Hired sanctuary assassin. She isn't like others though, all twisted and evil she makes the targets death quick and painless. Calypso is an adept and studies how to kill people (at will) with one touch. When Skulduggery Pleasant comes to Australia he finds out about Calypso's job and gets very angry. He thinks it is wrong and the job should be terminated. When he finds out who actually is doing the job he goes absolutely nuts (because she is only 14.) everyone is trying to protect Calypso from him but she breaks away from them and begins to follow him and his case.

Calypso Dreamer carries a 9inch dagger with her always just in case. Calypso is ready for anything and is excited about Skulduggery even though he hates her. She'd love to be able to talk with Valkyrie and Fletcher but she knows they'd tell skulduggery about her and then he'd go after her.

Being an assassin is tough, everyone Wants to kill you when you need to kill someone.

Name:Sylamir Cloud

Powers: Sylamir’s power is completely physical; she has wings. These wings are heavily feathered and are extremely thick. Like hair, she can’t feel the feathers but can feel the if they’re pulled out. She has both sides of her back appearing to be completely gouged out (and I mean COMPLETELY as in no back ribs…) to make place for the folded wings. Her bones, in both body and wings, are light which means that she can literally be swept off her feet (Kehe…)

Appearance: Sylamir has thick light brown hair and green-grey eyes. Her skin is extremely tanned, and she wears different hues of brown. She has an athletic build and is slightly taller than average. (Whatever average is.)

Sylamir is completely nomadic. Her wings make it easier for her to move around more than usual. She has been referred to, more than once, as ‘The non-stop nomad.’

(I think that is it… :D)

Adrian walked in to Auckland's one and only sorcerers bar, and slumped down on the seat. "Hey mate", the bar tender said, "usual?" "Yep" Adrian said then sighed, it had been a very long day. "What's up mate?" "You look shattered." Said the bar tender He turned to the shelf and tossed a can of beer to Adrian who was trying not to wince at the awful Kiwi accent. "The necromancer temple in Ireland have apparently found a death bringer." Adrian said with another sigh, a deep frown creasing his usually smiling face. The bartender looked confused "I thought you were a necromancer?" Adrian reached up and touched the stud that held his powers. "Yeah but I only joined because I've got a natural talent for it, I don't agree with their beliefs and necromancers creep me out." "Well your not the only one the bar tender said with a laugh, you and that Wreath bloke are the only necromancers I've ever met who don't remind me of vampires." Adrian smiled as his suspisions about the bar tender were confirmed. He put his unopened beer can down and in a spilt second the bar tender was trapped against the wall by shadows. Adrian laughed, you honestly think that I would be so unobservant to notice that a 50 year old kiwi bar tender, magical or not knew what a vampire was?" "Insane" the bar tender managed to choke out. "Ok, then drink this" Adrian said as he opened the beer can and held in up to the trapped man lips. He thrashed his head trying to avoid the can. Adrian smiled again, "poison, your preferred method isn't it Shadow." The man stopped thrashing as Adrian took the can away from his lips. Lucky I'm going to let you live cause I have another job for you.
(N.b The shadow is one of my other characters, an assassin who uses his weak necromancy skills and/or poison to kill and is the most feared assassin in the southern hemisphere.)

Threnody Trice 'Granny Red'
Let's just say that Nefarious had Lord Vile? The other side had Granny Red.
Threnody Trice was respectable before even the war began; she excelled through ranks with her sharp intelligence, and her Adept ability to, literally, ‘read the atmosphere’ of situations and conversations, she became one of the English Sanctuaries youngest Elders. When war was finally upon them, she was ready to lead them all to battle, but everyone considered her 'too important' and 'too fragile' to fight, and sent her to the back of the army. Their war front crumbling, all her allies falling right in front of her eyes, she, like most, did something stupid, drastic and desperate.
She changed sides.
Well not really, at this point her hatred was beyond loathing and she breathed for the opportunity to tear their tiny hearts out. She merely acted as though she changed sides, quietly spying, and planning to return if any drastic news was heard and race back to her own front.
Nefarious's troops were well known for defiling their own bodies for weapons, Serpine his hand, Vengeous his eyes, and it seemed that even the most useless of Adepts were willing and able to give an arm or a leg to the cause.
Threnody was given no choice in the end if she wanted to continue her deception. But she overdid it in her anger.
She gave up her youth for a weapon that could slice through anything, and inhuman strength.
An 80 year old woman, Trice was forced back to the battlefield with a black scythe that can cut though anything, and able to lift and throw a fully grown man with one arm.
But still in the bloody back line.
The thing she hated the most in the entire war, it seemed right for the generals, putting a weak looking old lady with a scythe in the back row where she wasn't likely to get hurt.
Threnody snapped, going from the modest, polite, mourning and broken old lady, to a war goddess of incomprehensible rage, blood thirst and general p*ed off-ness.
From the back row, she sliced through them all, in the end, she must have killed at least one hundred sorcerers with her scythe. When the side against Nefarious spotted her after she had cut them down, she was covered in blood, earning the name, 'Granny Red'.

Looks: If you took a beetle, super glued it to a twig with twine, then put sand and flowers over it, then you’re desperately trying to distract yourself from the fact that Granny Red looks scarier than a bunker full of unexploded mines.
She looks like a nice old granny from the back, you would probably think to help her across the street, but as soon as she turns and shows her face, you’re ready to run across said street no matter how fast the traffic to get away from her.
One dead eye and a nice scar from her forehead to her brow, which sadly makes her, look eternally grumpy; being wrinkled with age doesn’t help either. White wispy hair in a large bun, few paper clips, small metal glasses. She’s pale, but respectfully upright posture and fit. She will wear whatever she wants, but usually wears any respectable elder would, but she prefers pants.

Personality: You can imagine she is a little cracked, don’t try to defend her, she’s headstrong and will take offence to any form of protection. If you took a bullet for her she would smack you across the cheek when you wake up in hospital. No one really knows all the things that annoy her, but there are many, (she hates Easter, she hates autumn, she hates you, etc.) She will always be polite, always saying ‘Thank you very much’. She very rarely smiles.
If you talk to her, don’t joke. Be short, sharp, and straight to the point, and if you can, be a bit louder. She won’t admit it but her hearing is horrible but she refuses hearing aids. If she can’t hear what you said then she won’t say anything out of sheer pride.

My characters name is Ariana Obscurum. She is a quiet and dangerous Necromancer in her mid-200's with the appearance of a 21 year old. She, like all other Necromancers is traditionally adorned in black clothing, with a Victorian era twist of frills and lace chokers. She has black hair with two streaks of purple that hang down the side of her face, pale skin and dark red lips. She has inhabited her dark power into a handle of sorts that can exude darkness into solid matter, such as a sword, whip, dagger etc. She was born in Australia, but has travelled all over the world and spent much time in Japan and later on England before finally settling into the Necromancer Temple in Ireland.

She generally wears a comfortable t-shirt with baggy cargo pants and skate-shoes, and always fingerless gloves. She often wears a hooded jacket, keeping the hood up around people she doesn't know.

Abilities/ Powers: Elemental. She usually uses her control over Air to help her perform acrobatic tricks to disorient her opponent(s).

Sparky is thirteen.

Deathly afraid of spiders and being tickled. It renders Sparky completely useless and that scares her more than anything else in the world.

Hayley drives a Suzuki Hayabusa and carries a Mark 23 inside her jacket at all times.

Name: Deanna Soul.

Deanna Soul has light blonde hair and blue eyes. She wears white dresses and no shoes, this way she looks sort of like a spirit. Deanna is very pale- practically white- and has very red lips. She looks like she is 21 even though she's 56 and will probably look like that for as long as she lives. Deanna is tall and moves gracefully, sailors believe that she is an angel who shows them the way to shore.

Deanna's adept ability is to open locked doors with out touching them. Deanna's mother is on the Australian council of the elders and mollycoddles her even though she protests. Deanna's mother disapproves of her chosen adept ability by saying that she is wasting her potential. Deanna meets a young boy whose chosen name is Fletcher Renn. Fletcher catches sight of Deanna once and falls into deep unwanted puppie love. He quickly snaps out of it when Val and Skulduggery come Australia. They are here for a case concerning something very murderous and evil. Deannna thinks she can help them and so they begin following a case in and around Sydney.

Deanna's form of transport is always walking her weapon is a small knife that was made by one of the sanctuaries weapon guys to her liking. It is silver and has her initials etched into it. Deanna lives by herself next to Sydney harbor. She has snobby neighbors and is thinking of letting Val and Skulduggery stay at her house for a little bit while they solve the case.

Excuse me Mr Landy but if you made a movie Skulduggery pleasant would you consider me to play the part of Valykrie. I mayn't be Irish but I can put on an accent!

I am writing a little bit of a story for three of my characters, here is Lucy Finch's

It all started for Lucy when she was waiting in the elevator at her dads work. She was by herself and while twiddling her fingers she watched the screen in front of her count down the levels. 12, 11, 10- she bit her lip in agitation when something caught her eye. There were four buttons. One showed the elevator door opening and the other one closing. The two buttons underneath showed
the same things but pointed in another direction. She tapped her feat curiously, 9, 8- turned around and saw the big green sheet that covered the back, she
walked to it in curiousity and pulled it down. Lucy's face grew a massive grin and she pressed the button that showed the doors opening the other side. They did and all that showed was darkness. Lucy wasn't a naughty girl who didn't do as she was told but she was very curious and sometimes her curiosity takes over her. This was what happened when the doors opened and the blackness showed. Lucy stepped forward and looked down, while doing so the elevator jerked to a stop and Lucy fell into the darkness. When the man from level 5 steped in there was no one there and the doors from the other side had closed.
Lucy meanwhile had been tumbling into darkness when she came to a sudden stop. She had hit the floor of a white marble like building. Her beach blonde hair was streached around her and her blues eyes fluttered open. Men and women stood around her. One of them, a young man in a business suit helped her up and she said,
"where am I?"
Two weeks later,
"Miss Retrospective please pay attention, you must be on your absolute best behavior when the elders arivve, I knew you are new to this but please just try?" Tilly crossed her arms,
"okay, but only because I'm the your secretary Administrator."
"please call me Zander," he said then continued saying what to do when the elders walk into a room.
"Zander," she intterupted, "what are you adept or elemental?" Zander crossed his arms and said angrily.
"you weren't even listening to me,"
"was too,"
"were not."
"oh yeah I'll show you what to do when they walk in." grace fully she stood up bowed her head and sat down again. Tilly poked her tongue at Zander and asked her question again, he sighed and said.
"adept, I study symbols and stuff. Have you chosen yet." Tilly grinned and rubbed her hands together. A flame appeared and she set fire to a piece of paper.
"NO!" exclaimed Zander and he slammed out the fire. "with out that we wouldnt be able to tell who is allowed in and who is not." she mimicked him and clicked suddenly his hair was drenched and she laughed he frowned. Just as Zander was about to yell he fell silent. Tilly got up gracefully and bowed her head along with Zander. There in front of her was the young man in the suit who had helped her up on her first day in the magic sanctuary and had explained everything to her. His name was Alez Hatred, next to him was a women in black robes, a nectromancer whose name Tilly always forgot and in front of them was the grand mage who took the name Signori Lucifarno even though he wasn't at all Italian. When Alez looked at her he said
"hello Miss Retrospective and Zander." they walked on and when they were out of site they both began laughing.
"that was..." puffed Zander
"rediculas!" finished Tilly and they both fell down in their chairs.

Next I will post the beginning of Calypso Dreamer's story.

More info on her power: It hurts mainly mentally by bringing a horrible past back so vivid in the victims mind it seems real, or by bringing out a fear and making it half real and paralysing them. This works by sending out a psychic weapon with whatever intent above. It hurts physically by cutting through the skin, like necromancy, only way way way weaker.
Normally wears: black denim shorts, black singlet top, black jacket with hood, black knee-high boots.
Weakness: Nercromancy
Given name: Melanie (Mel) Archer
Taken name: Celeste Psyche
Age: 14 ( I changed it but you can change back if it suits your books more)
More about Celeste: when her parents died, and she was forced to move in with her neighbours (she had no living family members left). She knew no other sorcerers and she’d stopped talking to everyone, she hardly saw anyone, and she tried cutting herself out of the world. She would go to the beach whenever she could to practice her magic.
One day, on the beach, Celeste was buying ice-cream, and she say a boy with funny hair. She giggled and he turned his head and looked at her confused. She made her face go blank, a trick she learnt when she sealed herself out from the world (by not recognising/answering anyone. Eg: pretends they are dead). She walked away to her secret part of the beach, and practiced until it was dark and she was panting and sweating. She’d managed to dust a big rock, which was unheard of in her line of sorcery, she had cheered at that.
“Wow...” came a voice.
I cursed a silently a thousand times. I’d been spotted. I was so dead.
The boy with funny hair walked out. “Hi, I’m Fletcher.” He said.

One word - Dragons!!!
I think you should introduce dragons into the series as they have vampires and skeletons, but i think having dragons will be even cooler. I cant be bothered thinking of a female name, so i suggest that dragons dont have names, (just like the Unnamed), but they know everyone's true name. People can find out other's true names, through the dragons, but dragons expect things in return.

Other things that might be cool-
-the Unnamed was the master of all dragons
-Ghastly Bespoke supposedly killed the last dragon
-however there are two more dragons living undetected
-dragons are invisible to mortals
-a dragons fireball never misses
-Lord Vile's armour was forged by dragon fire
-Lord Vile's armour is useless against dragons

Thats about it

Okay- that was really hard. It is so difficult to admit that I would fall to my knees in worship for His Majesty The Golden God. I am such a rebellious and headstrong Australiaminion, you see.
*Ahem*
I suppose I should go on about my character entrant, one that I could say I have spent years preening and making perfect but I have in fact only just made it up right now. Actually, I suppose that’s pretty much a lie as the idea of this character has been swimming around in my head for some time, eating away at parts of my brain to be thought of more. But I should cease my babbling, onward!

Fifteen year old Rixmar Travail has been around magic all her life. It would be pretty hard not to be, what with her parents working full time at the Australian Sanctuary and all. If asked what they actually worked as, you would be met with a blinking stare and a shrug. It’s top secret, apparently.
An elemental with a specialty in fire, she has a strong sense of right and wrong and will do anything she thinks is right in her own mind. This makes her slightly arrogant, and doesn’t take orders from others too well; which can lead to not being much of a ‘team player’. She is quick with her tongue and rather eccentric; her thick mop of brown curls, constant grin, bright blue/green heterochromia eyes and vintage clothes displaying this perhaps more than needed. As her parents work for the Sanctuary, she often spends her time in both Dublin and Sydney- the world’s cradles of magic by Word of God.
When she is not busying herself practicing her magic or just being plain flamboyant and careless with it, she is busy scanning the pages of her hero, Batman. Oh how courageous Bruce Wayne is, prowling the night as a vigilante to keep Gotham safe from its hardened criminals. She hopes to be like him one day, and has trained herself extensively in Hapkido, as all heroes must at some point teach themselves a form of martial arts.
She’s intelligent, but cannot easily accept other opinions or even facts that she perceives as wrong. While she can be trusted and is usually a valuable ally, if she finds it fit she will backstab for her own gain.
But with style, of course.

Well that was either a wonderful description or a terrible one, up to the eyes of the beholder. Also, I don’t have a shrub handy as that is absolutely ridiculous, but in the spirit of Christmas I will give you a pear tree.
Oh look, it even has a plastic partridge hidden inside its fake foliage.
(What's that about deleting comments so they can be revised? Pish posh I do say)

Hi? I know I haven't posted any comments on your site before, but I have been reading it for pretty much ever, and it'd be so cool to have a character I'd invented feature in one of the Skulduggery Pleasant short stories so here goes:

She is around 21 or 2, she's an Australian Aboriginal and her name is "Gori" which is Wagiman (an Aboriginal language spoken in the Northern Territory of Australia) for Charcoal.

She's an elemental, but instead of learning all four elements, she has just focused on fire. So she has like "SUPER FIRE". And instead of clicking her fingers and summoning a fire ball, she can just touch things and they'll be enveloped in flames. And her fire is sometimes so hot that its blue.

So yeah, that's my idea. Hopefully you'll like it :)

Um, I don't think mine posted last time cos I can't find it, and I'm sorry I'm not trying to spam you. Also, I haven't included a story in mine (is there supposed to?) sorry. Oh yeah and I forgot to say that I'm Aussie, which probably doesn't matter as I don't think mine posted before anyway. But yeah, I'm an Aussie...
Um, so here's mine again. It's not that detailed cos I don't know what your stories going to be about so I left alot to be altered, to make it easier for you to fit her into the story, just incase I'm the lucky one who gets chosen!
Anyway I'm babbling heres my character (again/maybe again/i don't know if it posted or not:)

I hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work.

Given name: Helga Delandes.
Taken name: Victoria Fountain.
Magic: Adept, Sonic screaming.

Appearance: Greasey black hair, puke coloured eyes, used to be pale skin; but now orange and patchy (brown), tall 6"3, wears pink lipstick and too much maskara weighs 83 kilos, pink tops that are too tight for her chunky body, very short fluero yellow; black and white striped skirts, nasally voice, mole on her nose, always showing belly button, peirced ears, nose, bellybutton and lip, lower back tattoo of butterfly around two dolphins, crooked nose, crooked teeth, high knee boots or large, thick wedges, generally ugly!!! lol

Personality: Stuck up, deluded, untalented, rude, vile, easy to hate, always hits on men (single or not), thinks the world revolves around herself, stupid, cannot make a joke unless it is racist, offensive, cocky, arrogant, ignorant, keeps a mirror on her at all times to check her appearance (which she thinks is gods gift to man), overall a real nasty person.

Hometown: New South Wales. (SN/ We feel embarassed just having her on my screen much less Victoria [state])

Age: 09/05/1986

How characters view her:

SKULDUGGERY: Irritating, she thinks she's funny the only way she is funny is because she looks like a clown with all that make-up, more obsessed with her appearance then Fletcher

VALKYRIE: She called me sweetie, I didn't like that, she reminds me of Beryl only 10 times worse... scratch that, they are just as bad as each other, and she thinks shes so much more powerful than me, but she can only scream.

GHASTLY: She called me Alpachino, and she won't fit any of my clothes. I can make the clothes as big as a house, and she still won't be able to fit.

ERSKINE: She is an embarassment to magic, and she called me stud muscles.

MADAME MIST: Victoria called me a creepy crawly and that my kind should be eradicated, probably under her fat.

Her magical heritage: She only found out she was magical three years ago after the surge, and she ended up with sonic screaming.

ohhhh by the way we are going to be posting more but they are all different people but who knows maybe Victoria will eat em.

Avarice Coil.

Greedy. Extremely greedy. Thinks she owns everything. See that item to your left? That's hers. What's that you say? It's yours? Too bad. It's her's now. No exceptions. Everything belongs to her. Except the things that don't. And trust me, there isn't much.

Arrogant, egotistical, condescending, on occasion very generous, flamboyant, and tends to use some ridiculously silly logic to win arguments.

She's an Elemental who loves fire, of course. Greedy and all-consuming, there's nothing like a good blaze to really kick off your day. Oh, was that your house? Whoops. She's a bit of an arsonist as well.

Okay. I have no idea what I was thinking when I made this one up and she sounds ridiculous so yeeeaah...

Katie Deliriliam

Katie has dark paralyzing eyes, not the -wow- paralyzing but the -I'm going to kill you- paralyzing. Her hair is the colour the dark and terrifying night. She wears black dresses that reach the floor and a black glove on her right hand. Sometimes she wears a black viel over her face if she doesnt want to be seen.

Katie sometimes just goes by Miss Deliriam or Katie. She is 90 years old but looks about 24. A little but like Serpine she has a weapon that basically means she has what some could call a red right hand. But it is actually a red hand that's why she wears the glove. It is specially made so it dimins her powers to just gently hurt people. She meets Fletcher Renn and try's to take him under her murderous wing but he breaks away and runs to the Australian sanctuary. Then they call in Skulduggery pleasant, Valykrie Cain and some random new Zealand guy. They are now hunting her down, she has decided to play a game with them; every step closer they get to her, every new lead they get a new dead body. On there doorstep... Literally.

Katie has made a small alliance with a man who says his name is Billy Ray Sanguine and a woman called Tanith Low. The man Is an American assassin and Tanith is English and obviously possessed by a rementant. She runs away with the two misfits and finally stands up to Skulduggery.

Get ready, for the Queen of all Mary-sues!!!!!

Given name: Joesphine Myob
Taken name: Matilli Sider
Magic: Adept, lightning (enjoys blowing up pebbles)
Age: 13

Appearance: Short 5"2, weighs 50 kilos, stuck-up features, long blonde hair that falls into ringlets, blue eyes that shine, violet dresses that fit perfectly on her slim, but short athletic figure, pink and blue flower pins in her hair, purple flats and glasses that sit upon her nose: that she uses while reading her many books.

Personality: She is a kind hearted girl, she is considerate, kind hearted, brave, smart, athletic, pretty and modest about it and sees the goodness in people. Though when bored or angry, she takes her temper out on innocent roses; which she grows in her own organic garden, which is perfectly soiled. She is perfect in everyway.

Hometown: Darwin (her and her parents run a shelter for homeless people, which serves 5 star cuisine and room service [Obviously Matilli doesn't work such a mundane job since she is perfect, she doesn't work their, she volunteers there.])

Magical heritage: Her family has known they were magic for centuries, but instead of fighting she used her magic to supply poor people in Tanzania with free power and her mother would supply them with water and her father would supply them with gold.

LOL as if anyone would post something so stupid and overcompensating on the blogesphere... inspired by Sparky Braginski.

Yeah. Well. So, I as I was reading your blog. I noticed the competition. And you are touring NZ next year. Dear Faceless Ones, I almost cried! But I didn't. Because then Skulduggery would never let me live it down. Anyway...

So.

As I am DEFINTELY gonna see you next year, remember me as the girl who shall give you the shubbery and calls herself Oscuro Dreams.

Taken name. Yup. What's yours?

I am aware I am rambling, as you probably do. So I will finish soon. Ish.
Nah, maybe later.

So, how's Doctor Nye? He's my second favourite character. After Skulduggery.
(Skully's reading over my shoulder. -.-)
You should upload a pic of him. I need one.
He is really cool. Like you. But also ugly. Unlike you. Yeah.

I almost forgot. My character.
What I originally meant to talking about.
Oh well.
Here goes nothing!

"Scourge Abberant. So we meet again." Skulduggery's voice, usually so velvety, was as hard as rock, and as cold as Valkyrie had ever heard him. Valkyrie restrained herself from raising an eyebrow. "That's a bit cliche, Skulduggery, even for you." Skulduggery turned his head, ever so slightly, to give Valkyrie the Shut-up-now-or-I'll-kill-you-now glare. "This is the man, Valkyrie, who killed my partner before I met you." "Aw, Skulduggery," Scourge grinned, tilting his head. "We aren't still sore about that, are we?" Skulduggery sank into a fighting stance, fire in his hands. "I will always be sore about that, Abberant." With that, Skulduggery threw the fireballs, throwing them with an anger Valkyrie had never seen, even against Serpine. She stepped back top avoid the heat, then flinched in surprise as a blast of air hammered her and Skulduggery, blasting them backwards, into the convienently placed wall behind them. Valkyrie shook her head to try and clear the stars that danced in front of her eyes, and then wished she hadn't. Scourge was still recognizable, but barely. Grotesque wings had burst out of his back, and his nails had grown into long talons that slashed at the air. She felt Skulduggery stiffen beside her. "When I say, run like hell." Skulduggery whispered in her ear, then got up and took in a deep, unnecessary breath. "One," he started, and Scourge sank into a fighting stance. "Three!" He roared, and spun around, grabbing Valkyrie, and proceeded to run like hell.

LOOK AT NEXT POST!

Finally, after what seemed like hours of running to Valkyrie, they reached the Bentley. They leapt in and reversed so fast Valkyrie smacked her head on the dashboard. "Skulduggery," Valkyrie began, rubbing her head. "What in the Facless Ones just happened?" Skulduggery didn't reply until he was on the open road, then sighed. "That, Valkyrie, was Scourge Abberant, the man that killed my other crime-fighting partner." Valkyrie nodded. "That much I gathered. What I want to know, is what the heck just happened to him?" Skulduggery muttered something along the lines of, "Nye..." Then sighed. "Scourge fought on our side in the war. Until he was captured by our lovely friend, Doctor Nye." Valkyrie cursed. "Goddammit. I would rather call him our frenemy, thanks." Skulduggery nodded, then continued. "He was experimented on by Nye, who proceeded to graft bat DNA into his bloodstream. Which, of course, explains the wing and claws. Unfortunately, he didn't have any anesthetic, which ended up in him losing weight, becoming amazingly intelligent and driving him mad, making him join the baddies." Valkyrie sighed. "Yet another tale of Nye's stupidity." Skulduggery nodded. "My previous sidekick didn't deserve to die the way he did." And for the rest of the way home, the pair drove in silence.

Yeah. I hope ya like him!
Anyway, to recap.

TAKEN NAME: Scourge Abberant
MAGICAL TYPE: Adept
MAGICAL QUIRKS: Flies with bat wings, huge claws when morphed.
GENDER: Male
ACTUAL AGE: 467
LOOKS HOW OLD: 39
FROM: New Zealand
HISTORY: Explained above.

I'm actually not breaking any rules, because Skulduggery metioned an adept who can transform.

SO THERE, HATERS!
I'm good.
Cause I'm cool, here is my given name.
MOLLY PIDDINGTON!
Say it, don't spray it.
Sometimes I lick windows.
XD
Goodbye, dear author!
Come to Timaru when you come to NZ!
Bye.

I realised I forgot to post his appearance and personality, so here they are!

Appearance:
With raven black hair, he spikes it up higher than Fletchers. (Which is an achievement within itself...)
The tips of his hair are a crimson, blood red and he has a pale skin tone. He prefers to wear an oversized jacket, similar to Valkyrie's, and always wears a pair of ripped jeans and a t-shirt. All of his clothes are a deep, purple/black.

Personality:
He is sarcastic, ruthless and cunning. Not best buddy qualities. He prefers his own company to anyone elses, and as Mr Incredible once said...
"I work alone."
MERRY CHRISTMAS AGAIN!

Aria Blaze
Adept with the odd ability to just run... really fast. She has really long straight ginger hair (like me) and very short (unlike me). She's a really violent person and really hates Valkyrie for some random reason and is an ex forensic officer for the English sanctuary. She looks about 22 but is really 40. She was taught magic in Japan and killed her parents by mistake. She try’s to simplify everything and hates people that use long complicated words (like Skulduggery) and is bad at following instructions.

Hope I win!

Serendipity Moore
She is a talkative person. She is quite smart, just very light headed and often forgets what she is doing. She is hydrophobic, and hates Ireland because of the rain. She is quite depressed when first introduced into the story, but because happier till the end (Or unless the Golden God decides to kill her off). She considers herself Australian, but not the cliché type. Her choice of clothing is anything practical. But still maintains an innate sense of style.
She is 564 years old; she did originally come from Ireland, but moved at 3 to London. She travelled the world meeting many people and learning their languages, all the people that met her thought she was a spirit. She then came to Australia as a stowaway on The First Fleet. She travelled alone, but always managed to find food and people to help her.
Her Chosen Name, Serendipity reflects her uncanny ability to find things, namely treasure. This is why she is filthy rich.
She is an adept with the ability to warp metal and control metal things. She always carries ( or wears) some form of metal which she would shape to fit her needs.

Hi Derek, I am a huge fan and i hope i can make a contribution to your future plans even if it is the least bit one.

My character is called Chao (feel free to change this)
He lived in mainland China when he was young. At that time he was learning a type of martials which involved infusing kung fu with elemental magic. Evil people got envious of this art and threatened Chao's family to teach them. These evil people were refused but they wouldn't take no for an answer and they went for Chao and his family. They were ruthless and intended to kill everyone but Chao, with assistance from his family, manage to just escape. From then on he realised that magic wasn't powerful enough to defend himslef so he started to get into weaponry. Since then he has lessened his practise of kung fu and started creating weapons that ran on magic. These weapons were his own private collection to be kept in secret from the public to try to prevent happenings of the past from occuring again. He lived his live in seclusion, proffesionalising his weapons. After hearing stories of the legendary Skulduggery and Valkyrie and the predicaments they had gone up against, he decided to seek them out and hopefully assist them in saving the world. That was his way of making his family proud of him. By then he was a top notch weaponry expert. He was the Kenspeckle Grouse of ammunitions, so to speak. He tries to team up with the awesome duo and ........

The rest is up to you, Derek!
I hope you see this and i hope it is worthy of your selection. I am from Australia.
Thank you

I am from New Zealand and my character is an Adept.

Eli Pharazyn remembered the war clearly. It was a beautiful time. A time where he could murder in cold blood and brag rather then run. Eli was often hidden in the background, drawing secret symbols on the surrounding landscape and activating them once the enemy was in range. He loved to hear their shreiks of pain as they realised death was inevitable. He loved the knowing look in their eyes as they realised they weren't going to be the hero this time. Compared to China Sorrows his power was nothing, but he possessed different qualities. He was stealthy. He was fast. And he was a nobody. To many he was just another Adept with power over symbols who worshipped Mevolent. But that status changed on that fateful day. The day he he met The Dead Men.

I am Australian and i have been waiting for a moment like this for FOREVER!!! I find it highly amusing when people write the same word twice but its not on accident :)

CHARACTER: Crimson Rayne - can be called either Rayne or Crimson.
And it MUST be spelled R-A-Y-N-E, as much as i worship my Golden God it cannot be spelled R-A-I-N.

MAGIC: Elemental BUT she can also fly and do all the (VERY) impressive things Skulduggery can. Except the whole necromancy thing but if my Great Golden God wishes to, he can make her do Necromancy - it would suit her.

APPERANCE: Jet black hair with red streaks through it. One eye is Sappire blue and the other is Crimson red. Pale skin. Tall and skinny but has curves. Has a small tattoo of a dragon in the corner of her right eye and temple, also has a tattoo of a Ying-Yang on her left wrist.

CLOTHING: 3\4 length tight fittin black trench coat with buckles and straps everywhere, blue and black or red and black corsets, black bell-bottom denim jeans and (sometimes) a skirt over the top, knee-high boots with laces and buckles, fingerless gloves (mid fore-arm or elbow length), black lace chocker with heart locket containing pictures of dead identical twin sister.

BACKGROUND: 321 years old, born and raised in Australia, Queensland in the rainforest (its very pretty), Australian accent, has been around magic all her life, she tought herself magic, twin sister was murdered at age 27 by Billy-Ray Sanguine and she vowes to get her revenge.

BEHAVIOUR: Bubbily, daydreams a lot, witty and sharp tongued (like Skulduggery), has a hidden dark side that can make her lash out, be cruel and kick some serious butt, makes fun of Valkyrie at every opertunaty she gets, has a crush on the great Skeleton Detective (i vote this would be very amusing and would be able to twist into just about anything), likes to walk on her hands.

I'm from Australia, but I'm in England right now for Christmas. I've sadly forgotten what the sun looks like.

Jespa London
Jespa is the 22 year old daughter of the Australian Grand Mage. Her hair is shaggy, tarnished almost to red and down to her waist. She's short, skinny and square jawed and wears grungey clothes. Black boots, ripped or patterned tights, denim cutoffs. She has a green velvet blazer with heaps of badges or else just a simple leather jacket. And she absolutely always wears red lipstick.
She is catty, sarcastic and biting, with Keira Knightley mannerisms. She always has her chin up in sullen defiance.
Jespa is an Adept. she can hypnotise people. Her eyes, a soft blue before she Surged are now dark flashing an unerring and looking into them is transfixing. But although she has a great capacity for her Adept discipline Jespa has very little grasp on it. This is due to the training she had forced on her in the Australian Sanctuary. she takes pride in the fact she never focused on developing her magic. Therefore anyone aware of her ability finds the slightly vague and passive feeling fairly easy to shake.
Despising authority and the expectations she spectacularly failed to live up to at the Australian Sanctuary, Jespa steals an overstuffed wallet of her grandfather's and teleports to Ireland with a certain cute, annoying, messy haired guy. She plans to stay in Ireland as it's also a Cradle of Magic, but stay away from the magical community.

I’m a true-blooded awesome-accented Aussie girl, so… my character is to be a true-blooded awesome-accented Aussie girl, I suppose!

Biologically forty years old, Kendriah Tally is an Elemental and is just “one of the crowd”. With her strange (yet seemingly non-magical) way of blending into her surroundings, many people forget that she is even there – a common occurrence, unless she actively draws attention to herself. Personality-wise, she lacks forethought, and listens to music more than common sense, with a very laid back approach to life and work.

She works as an Elemental instructor for magical children, teaching them the basics to controlling their abilities before they choose their own paths in life. While she has no active participation in the Australian Sanctuary, she corresponds with them on a regular basis, and hears snippets about the goings on across the world – including the unfortunate events that beset the Irish Sanctuary.

Oh, and here. I found you a shrubbery. Well, not so much found, but stole. With care, though! It's from some guy in the forest. He wanted me to cut down a tree with a herring, what was I supposed to do?

Skulduggery whispered in her ear, then got up and took in a deep, unnecessary breath. "One," he started, and Scourge sank into a fighting stance. "Three!" He roared, and spun around, grabbing Valkyrie, and proceeded to run like hell.

Name: Rosalie Black

Rosalie Black has straight strawberry blonde hair and emerald green eyes. She is very tall and is all round muscly and pale. Rosalie wears jeans, t-shirts and her favorite navy jacket. Although it is casual clothing she wears high heels to make it look like she cares were she's standing just a little bit.

Rosalie is a sanctuary detective, she works solo and if anyone comes nears her when she's assessing the crime scene or body she gets annoyed with them until they go away. She is an elemental and meets Fletcher Renn during a crime scene investigation and gets mad with him. The case has gotten massive now and the council of the elders have decided she needs to work with someone else. When Fletcher says he knows Skulduggery Pleasant and Valkyrie Cain she decides to let them help. They get to Australia and the case begins. 4 dead body's all killed by some physcopath.

Fletcher meanwhile is tagging along and Rosalie finds this very annoying. When Fletcher is put at risk of being murdered another side shows to Rosalie. A violent side. Rosalie has a sword that she uses to harm the killer.

*Rosalie pulls out a shrubbery and posts it to Derek Landy.*

Sinead Jones (again very irish)
clumsy Sinead,nick-named noodle, has a bubbly additude to match her bubbly apperance. her short dark pixie haircut and chubby cheaks to match her colourful dress sence and personaility. She's very family oriented and is always up to no good, like burning down her school in year 3. she's an adept with a gist. she dosn't like getting punched in the face, which is good, but likes to punch people i the face :). she's quite short (shorter than Valkyrie) and is a real jet setter having gone to over 20 contrys in the last 3 years.
i like this character hope you do to

From Australia I just changed my name (it used to be Darquesse)
Ailis (said A-lish ((it’s very Irish) Quinn
Adept
Waist length red hair (usually in a bun or ponytail) 16. Warlock (but a girl so dose that make her a witch). Techno crazy and can type 100 words per minute. Always seen in white dr. martens white boots with gothic rose print up the side and black and white clothing. Extraordinarily childish and very immature and reads way too much. She is always very quiet and always says weird things like she's "strawberry blond" and she "isn't gothic" and she's 'not weird". She is very violent at inappropriate
times but very brave (like she can pick up a big spider the size of my hand.)
(This again is based on a friend but her name isn’t Ailis it's Quinn. my
is Ailis)

I am Australian, im 16 years old and i have been waiting for a moment like this for FOREVER!!! I find it highly amusing when people write the same word twice but its not on accident :)

CHARACTER: Crimson Rayne

Also carries around throwing stars, they are her weapon.

BACKGROUND: 127 years old, born and raised in Australia, Queensland in the rainforest (its very pretty), strong Australian accent, has been around magic all her life, she tought herself magic, twin sister was murdered at age 27 by Billy-Ray Sanguine and she vowes to get her revenge.

Dominic Mente

Mente is Italian for 'mind', an appropriate name because Dominic is an Adept who has the power of putting dreams in humans' heads. The only way to distinguish the dreams that he puts in your head from real dreams is the fact that Dominic needs to look his victim in the eye and his pupils briefly dilate. The only restriction to his power is that it only works on humans, not animals, zombies or skeletons. The dreams can be pleasant dreams or nightmares. Dominic has had his power for as long as he can remember, but has never used it for serious purposes - until now. He can blend into a crowd, with his short chocolate brown hair and hazel eyes, but his tendency to wear brightly coloured clothes can make him stand out.

Kate Lindsay: I hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work.

Kate lindsay is the average elemental, not very good not very bad. She is a low rank australian sanctuary agent, she is moving to Dublin city. She is a very quiet person because when she was young her parents where killed by serpines red right hand. She has no idea that he is dead and she wants revenge. No one has ever seen a smile on her face since she was a young child, she has been tracking down serpine all her life and the last place he was at was dublin city. She was adopted at birth, has a massive scar across her eye because of the of serpines henchmen the scar glows, she can only see out of one eye. She knows she cant beat serpine alone and she only knows one person at Dublin City and that is skulduggery pleasant. Her chose name is Valerina Genaposa, she is very boring to be around, wears dark clothing. She trained at a mixed martial arts and judo centre. She wants to be the one to kill serpine and if someone gets in her way even if it is a very nice person she will kill them. She is sixty nine years old.

I hope i win because your my idol and i want to be just like you when i grow up

Name – Artemis “Arty” Rueleaf
Artemis was fascinated with Mythology while she was growing up so thereby chose her name after her favourite Greek Goddess at the time. She has platinum blonde hair generally kept up in a bun, bright blue eyes, and freckles that make her look quite childish. Despite being about 100 or so (she claims she’s younger) her petit frame, freckles and childish antics could probably let her get away with being about 14-16 years (as long as she doesn’t wear heels or use makeup!).
Artemis is a sensitive, having learnt astral projection when she was younger and being able to read people’s emotions sometimes manipulating them if she can keep a level head and control her own emotions. A large ‘wave’ of emotion can manipulate her instead though, eg. If there was a large amount of hate and aggression directed at a person, if she couldn’t control it she’d possibly attack a person nearby, or the person the anger was directed at.
Because her power isn’t useful in contact she’s armed, generally wearing boots (obviously with a throwing knife strapped in each boot), a pocket knife in her short-shorts, and double long knives concealed under her singlet top and leather jacket. Her brother trained her to use the weapons, and how to fight in hand to hand combat, and also had her participate in gymnastics so that she’d have ‘balance’ and be fairly agile, before he died.
In almost all situations she’s wearing a grin, and has a bright and bubbly personality, quite out-going and hates sitting still or not knowing what’s going on. Because of her power she’s cautious and often feels as though she’s prying so she never talks about others emotions unless it’s to a person about their own. She’s nice and caring, but also has a fairly short temper!
Merci…
A shrubbery… *bites lip and starts watching Monty Python to figure out where to get one*

Im from N.Z.

Albi
Valkyries new boy toy. He is a necromancer (although he lies and says he's an adept) in disguise and he is trying to get revenge on Valkyrie. valkyrie is sad cause she's not with fletcher any more and she meets albi while practising battle moves with skulduggery. she goes out with him with albi because she's sad (she wants to forget about Fletcher and she's trying to forget him with other boys) and he's hot. hes from France and she feels sorry for him cos he says he has a hard time adjusting (he's a liar). she thinks thinks that she's in love with him but he's just trying to destory her (he gave her love potion). he's not that powerful but he thinks he can take her down by trickery. skulduggery doesn't like him but she wont listen to him. Skulduggery fights with Valkyrie and she is left alone with Albi.
He trys to poisen Valkyrie with something that will make her do what he tells her to. He nearly succeeds and it's so close and so dramatic but Skulduggery saves her and they find an antidote for the potion Albi gives Valkyrie.

"Who's that behind you?" Valkyrie asked worriedly.
"There's someone behind me?" Skulduggery replied.
'Yes, we'd better stop, this might seem strange to normal people."
"yes, I was just going to say that myself, aren't you clever?"
"Are you Skulduggery Pleasant?"The voice that came from the boy was a soft one, and Valkyrie melted.
"Yes."
"I need help. I'm a Adept. There's someone after me."
"Really? I can't see anyone"
"Skulduggery!" Valkyrie protested.
"Oh. Sorry." Skulduggery replied, not sounding sorry at all."Who did you say you were?"
"I'm Albi. And the beutiful girl behind you must be Valkyrie. I've heard all about you," Albi said flirtingly.
Valkyrie nearly fainted in adoration.

I am from Australia!

Rosetta Mayfeild is a very attractive 28 year old woman. She has blonde shoulder length hair with caramel and light brown foils through it (her hair always looks pristine!). She prefers to wear either a pencil skirt with a blouse, a tight dress. And when she is on the job dark coloured jeans and a black top. She also LOVES shoes! She has a room full of shoes!
Her favourite colour is saffron yellow which you can tell because she is always wearing something yellow. Either a pencil skirt, dress, shoes, bangles or her yellow crystal pendent on her necklace.
Rosette was brought up by her grandfather. Her parents died when she was very young which lead to her going to live with her grandfather in brisbane. Her grandfather tought her the ways of magic and other self defence methods so she could protect herself in the magic community. Her grandfather also gave her a silver necklace with a mysterious yellow pendent on it which she has never taken off.
Nowa days she is currently working in the Australian Sanctuary as a detective. And during her spare time she is studying and training to be the sanctuary doctor.
Even though she seems like a typical girly girl who likes shoes be careful, she can fight! And p.s dont, under any circumstances touch her hair!

And i can bring you a shrubbery. I live where there a HEAPS of shrubs!!!!!

When she got her own home she decided she'd do it, she didn't do it properly and now her hair had turned a light curly orange. Friday has sparkly blue eyes. She wears a red trench coat and a purple skirt. Friday wears silver doc
Martians and black stockings.

Fletcher teleports her into Ireland on the top of a roof when it's

Friday is very happy even though there is a nutter and her favorite trench coat is wrecked. She is now in a relationship with Fletcher.

I'm Kimberley Crawford, 16years old, from Australia, thought this sounded like a pretty cool competition :)
I love reading your books, and I am quite partial to the Necromancers, (I know they didn't do the nicest thing,s but Death is quite fascinating).

Anyway, here's a design I've come up with for you to consider using in this bonus material :)

Melody Red

She's small for her age at around 160cm.
19 years old.
Brown eyes, long straight red hair with pale skin and those light freckles everywhere.
She's not thin, but she's not chubby either. And not really fit.

She enjoys drawing with oil crayons and water-painting spooky landscapes. She has a macabre personality, enjoying the darker things in life.
Her voice is soft and she has some cool accent. Like Finish or Irish. Or Australian. :)(French is also acceptable. But it usually suits men better)

She wears dresses usually and always has her hair pulled up with black ribbons.
According to her name she should be able to sing, so she has a nice vocal ability but is extremely shy, refusing to sing publicly.

There's a number of things she could be. I'm slightly indecisive here.
I kind of want her to be awesome, but at the same time I think it'd be cool if she had a mundane ability that she made appear awesome.
I know I'M supposed to do the designing here, but I'd like a multiple choice thing.
(please?)
- Light manipulation (can do some cool stuff there. Like change things colours.)
- Vocal attacks (could be earsplitting screams)

And... that's all I can think of at the moment.

I hope you see this and I hope you decide to pick Melody Red :P

[Love the books and can't wait for the next to arrive here]

Yeah. I occasionally obey awesomeness. But only occasionally.

Darke Fyre glared at Valkyrie. "My name isn't that funny! Just because you are from the twenty first century..." Valkyrie pulled herself upright, choking from laughter. "The spelling... It's so... Medieval!" Darke Fyre raised an eyebrow. "That may be because I am." Valkyrie stopped laughing for a minute, before collapsing again. "You. Are. Ancient!" She managed to choke out between hysterical giggles. Skulduggery walked in just as Darke was about to slam her with a fist of black shadows. "Darke... You know what we said about my combat accessory." Darke glared evily at Valkyrie before snuffing out the shadows. "No attacking it because you haven't insured it yet." Skulduggery nodded. "I'm glad you understand that." As he turned on his heel and trotted out the door, he looked over his shoulder and added, "Your name is ridiculous, by the way." Darke turned and looked at Valkyrie. "I blame you for this." Valkyrie managed to nod through her tears of laughter. "Good."

Taken Name: Darke Fyre
Actual Age: 1000
Looks: 50
Magical Type: Necromancer
Magical Quirks: His shadows take the form of black fire, and his necromancer object is a dragon tattooed on his hand.
Gender: Male
History: Was born some thousand years ago. He used to be an elemental until he realised the power he had over shadows. One of Skulduggery's 'friends', he saved him when he was human, and vanished after the war. He doesn't like Valkyrie much, as she makes fun of his name. Constantly.
Appearance: Pale skin tone with flame-red hair. A tattoo of a black dragon is on his right hand. He wears a red and black robe and his eyes are a bright blue, clashing with everything else.
Personality: Decent. Honorable. Honest. And more fun than I am making him sound, I swear!
I'm joking. Read below to find out what he is actually like.
He has a razor-sharp tongue and an amazing sense of sarcasm. He is also prone to get annoyed really, really, fast.

:D Merry Christmas, everyone!

Margaret Defenestra was a happy little jailbird. She sat cross-legged like a pre-schooler on the floor of her cell, singing old pop songs while she waited for her tea. A smiling woman with a long braid and dirty glasses. She drank her lukewarm tea and ate everything the nice prison guards gave her, because it was the polite thing to do. She had no books, but she recited Dr. Seuss and TS Eliot and Ovid, as much to stop the guards in the hall from getting bored as to entertain herself. There was an accent, but she had a sweet voice.

Lucky thing there was no one sharing her cell, because as soon as the lights went off Margaret would have torn into them with her absurdly long nails, and painted painted painted great works of art with their blood.

Name: Solza Independent

Solza Independent has brown hair with bits of black in it. She wears a red cloak, black high heel boots, dresses and lucky for her she has matching grey eyes. She has long eye lashes and a perfect nose. She is overall beautiful and tall. Solza has a Strap on the back of all her dresses where her gun goes.

Solza's gun is Silver and diamond encrusted. She barley needs to use it but when she does, she does. Solza is an adept who can climb upsidedown and stick to things. She has doesn't trust the sanctuary and doesn't have a real occupation but if someone asks her what she does to get all the money she has Solza will say. "you won't understand it's grown up stuff." she actually gets the money from helping the sanctuary even though she doesn't trust them she does what they want her to, on her terms. She only let's a young boy who is new to the sanctuary and not yet untrustworthy give her the money. His name is Fletcher Renn and he is the last telaporter. News from the sanctuary says that a murderer has escaped from the prison and Skulduggery Pleasant an Irish detective has been called in. Then they call her in to help in. Although she protests she meets an agreement with them. Unless it is arranged they don't see her in put of work hours, they drive her car and Fletcher comes to.

Solza will never relax around Skulduggerry or Valykrie. Is it possible that she is hiding something from them, something personal about the case?

I hereby give my golden god, Derek Landy full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work.

Name: Florence illuminate

Florence Illuminate has dyed silvery hair that swishes in the wind and bright almost turquoise eyes. She has long legs and wears no shoes, Florence wears a knee length purple skirt that flys around her at the slightest twist or leap. She wears a black corset covered by a black jacket.

Florence Illuminate has powers like spring heeled Jack just a bit more graceful. Like an evil ballerina she leaps from roof to-to roof and walks like a tightrope walker across power lines. Don't be fooled by her fairy like grace she is a murderess of the night a springing Jack the ripper and murders people with her long kitchen knife. She likes to kill silently and up in the air. She is cruel and ruthless and is a pyhcopath.

I had an idea for this character Sir Landy so if you choose this one if you like you can use this...

Florence is all of these things and gets it from one person: her father. When Skulduggery Pleasant asked Baron Vengous if he heard the pitter patter of evil little feet he was half right, he did have child but not that young. A child of 10 she is now 17 and holds a grudge against anyone who killed her father. So when Valykrie and Skulduggery come to town she ain't to happy.

Santa Claus is one of the oldest and strongest adapts in the world. He has a large white beard and a face that seemed to be an ever mask of joy. Santa is powerful in three ways.

Firstly: His powers. He can enter almost any building whatsoever and not be sensed, can give such a powerful uppercut you'd think that he'ill faint. Oh and he can eat an unholy amount of cookies.

Secondly: Speech's. Santa has a natural ability to inspire confidence, courage, trust and most important of all 'hope' in a speech.

Three: Being Old. Being god knows how old Santa has a lot of wisdom. He has seen more then you can begin to imagine and learnt from it.

J. Walker (Short for Jasmine)

Female

Age: 31

Jasmine has long, straight, black hair. She is thin and quite tall. She has a fixation with Hawaiian shirts and silicone bake wear. She is an Adept, and her power is that she can move really fast, like when vampires flit, it looks like they jump from one place to another, but they are actually just running really fast. She generally wears one of her Hawaiian shirt tucked into a pair of high-wasted shorts, one of many pairs of Converse shoes she owns and funky Ray-Bans. Jasmine is just about always seen listening to music, and works as a chef for well off magical families. Even though her employers may not approve of her clothing and weird demeanor, she is quiet, great at what she does, and pretty handy with knives if people get on her bad side.

This is a bit of an extension!

Oh, and before i forget
"I hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work."

How Chao could be useful in the story,
-Valkyrie mentioned that she wanted a weapon. Skulduggery has a gun and Tanith has a sword, Chao could provide with this weapon.

-He could upgrade Skulduggery's gun.

-He could create a weapon that could suck the remnant out of Tanith

these are just a few ideas about how Chao could fit into the story.

I really hope you pick mine,
Thank you,

Eli Pharazyn loved the war. He loved the murder, the threats, the betrayals and most of all the strategies for victory. He was a useless warrior in all scenarios. His combat skills were laughable, he was clueless with a sword and his skin bruised easily. But that's why Eli loved to stratigise. He would silently draw symbols throughout the battlefield and wait for the perfect moment, the moment when the enemy would unknowlingly step into his circle of symbols. Quickly, Eli would touch his now glowing arms and trap them in a barrier of pain. His dull brown eyes would light up in delight as their shreiks of terror reached his ears, flesh being torn from their bodies. Another quick tap of his symbols and the fight was over. Eli would dissappear into the woods before anyone could turn to identify the murderer, before a vendetta could be created. Eli held a lanky frame as he ran, his long arms swinging like propellers as his knobbly knees shook. He activated hidden symbols that were etched into trees as he ran, prepared to eliminate anybody who tried to chase him. Eli had dark shaggy hair and skin like leather, tanned from the many hours cooped underneath the sun awaiting an enemy attack. He sported a crooked nose, broken several times by Mevolent when he disobeyed specfic orders. It was his own fault. Lord Melovent was always right. He chuckled. He was always in a good mood when a plan was successful. That sorceror had been dangerous and had threatened Eli more than a few times with a painful death. How ironic. Eli reached his hideout, a large willow tree with a hole through the middle. He paused. The barriers had been breached. Only China Sorrows was knowledgable enough to enter without being executed by the alarm symbols, and they were on the same side. He entered cautiously, ready to activate force fields if the need arose. Eli froze. The Dead Men were staring at him. A smile swept across Pleasant's face as he pointed a gun directly between Eli's eyes. Eli knew why they were here. He had information.
"Start talking before my patience runs out."
Eli opened his mouth.

I also have a question before I start. Do we have to live in Australia, or do our OC's have too???

Given name: Kelly Hamilton
Taken name: Lily Wallace
Magic: Necromancy (Her family are from a long line of Necromancers)
Age: 11 (13/04/2000)

Appearance: Long dark brown hair, dark blue eyes and a childish, innocent smile on her face, she dresses mostly in a fluffy pink shirt and sweater and a black pair of trousers with a pink belt, carries a pink little teddy bear as her object of Necromancy ([Forgot what it was called])

Personality: Cheerful for a Necromancy and highly annoying, she cannot stop talking and idolises Valkyrie Cain that she sometimes follows her home and asks her to for an autograph. Lily is a crappy Necromancer and finds it depressing that a girl like herself associates with death magic. Lily doesn't interact well with other student's in the temple and stalks Valkyrie around the temple when she arrives.

Hometown: Either Ireland or Australia (depending on if the people who sent it in have to be Australian or the character herself)

Magical heritage: Lily comes from a long line of Necromancers, whom never had an ancestor that didn't follow Necromancy and are heavy believers in the Death Bringer.

And done :).

(Hello! My name is JoJo. I'm not new to the Skulduggery fandom but I AM new to these forum type things, so... Please be kind! ^^;)

Name: Vesper Bright
Gender: Female
Power type: Adept
Power: Miss Bright can make herself intangible. Just like a ghost. When she makes herself intangible she can walk through walls, people, and punches and kicks go right through her.

Oh! I forgot to add a personality for Vesper Bright!

Personality: Vesper loves puns. She loves them. The lamer the joke, the more she laughs. Everything's pun-tastic to her. She can always find the humour in even the darkest situation. She likes to use her power to play practical jokes on people. However, she CAN be serious, though very rarely, and it's very scary when she is.

Heya...I'm a Kiwi. Here's my character. Posted before...just want to remind you who's in charge...soz.

Marco Guile
Adept

Marco Guile is first, and foremost, a Child of The Spider. He is 5ft5” and dresses predominantly in black. Black jeans. Black tee. Black jacket. Black shoes (All Stars, always). Black hair (with the occasional red highlight, of course). He is one of those people you take one quick glance at and think; “Woah. Emo guy”. He’s pasty white, as people who dress in black generally are. High cheekbones. Big, wide, WIDE blue eyes. The sort of seventeen year-old boy who makes all the seventeen year-old girls sigh and fall over dead. (Well, that might be an exaggeration, but...)
He likes to spend his days in a derelict old house in Roarhaven (the usual, in other words) honing his skills in a style of adept magic the likes of which have never been seen before (more on that later...). If you were to go into this house, you would find a hallway. Down that hallway, you would find Marco’s room, a place of broken hopes and dreams, a place where the very air is infused with the bitter nectar of despair. Oh, and don’t forget the rainbows. They’re rather important. You see, Marco is an avid collector of all things magical. Not in the jaw-dropping-slightly-macabre-China-Sorrows-way, but in the plushy-cuddle-rainbows-and-unicorns-way. This room is sickly pink, and plastered with posters. (Like I said, “infused with the bitter nectar of despair”.)
Marco himself is a wonderful young lad. The sort who walks old ladies across the street (although, he doesn’t enjoy this. One of the few people in Roarhaven who qualifies happens to be Madam Mist) and will smile and say “How are you today?” to a flame-wielding skeleton detective. There are very few things about him to dislike.
Which brings us, finally, to his power. It’s a sneaky, malicious sort of trick. One that would curdle your blood and make you yell “No! No! Get the mean boy away from me!” You see, Marco’s power is, essentially, nightmares. He can slip into your head while you are sleeping and make most terrible things happen. Marco being a Roarhaven resident, “most terrible things” usually consists of a giant spider. But here’s the clever part: Marco can see into your subconscious. He can find out what makes you tick, then bring all of your worst fears rushing to the surface.
If I were you, I would run now.
Because here’s where it gets worse.
Marco is learning how to do it when you’re awake...

Elena Savage
Elemental
Elena is an twenty year old that is an elemental. She has deep blue eyes, slightly pale brown hair that curls in ringlets. She always has her hair pulled back off her face not only for to keep her cool in the heat but so it's not an issue when fighting. Elena has a very smooth, calm voice.
Elena has an older sister that is also gifted in the arts of Elemental magic and that how she found out she possessed magic. There was a blackout whilst Elena's parents were out and her sister held a flame whilst looking for a torch. It turned out Elena's sister was making sure that no one or nothing had gotten into the house. Elena only found out about her powers in elemental magic at fourteen.
She's an Australian Sanctuary agent in training. Elena is trained in combat but does not fight to kill. If she can avoid killing she does. Elena only found out about her powers in elemental magic at fourteen.
Elena isn't a descendant of the ancients or very powerful so mainly uses combat in field work rather than magic. This normally ends up with more trouble than its worth.
Elena despises of Valkyrie greatly, as she is not that powerful and Valkyrie is. Valkyrie is always being mentioned for saving the world yet again and she isn't as old as Elena. Elena always tries to save the day but whatever she does she is always outshone by Val. Elena's dislike started when she saved Longreach (in Queensland) from a Vampire attack.
Elena has the potential to be a super villain but is wanting to prove herself better then Valkyrie instead of trying to ruin the world.

I, James Eunson, hereby give the Golden God Derek Landy full rights to take my character and adapt it into his mind-blowingly powerful work of art. Maximus Crypt was orphaned as a baby when his entire family was killed by hired killers. He is portrayed in the book as a sorcer in his twenties. He is tall and lean, and has brown hair styled as a ducktail worn by 1950s greasers. He has slightly arched eyebrows and blue eyes, which show kindness and intelligence. He has a faint, thin mustache growing along his upper lip. He sometimes wears a thin tie with his well-tailored suit. His personality defines himself as lively and energetic and brash, eccentric and alien

Gender: Female
Name: Mirage Oddity
Magic: Sensitive- she is able to create illusions in other people's minds
Age: 27

Mirage has amber eyes and blood red hair. She usually finds herself in trouble, and uses her power to confuse or distract others while she runs away. After over-using her talent for many years, she has become slightly mad. She is attempting to redeem past bad deeds she's committed by training as an agent, but tends to annoy most people in the process.

I've been mulling it over for a while, and decided to submit something. Or someone. An Aussie girl, rather.

Kalia Boson, a young (apparently) sorceress. Biologically 72, Kalia lives on the border of both worlds, preferring to stray into the mortal world due to her wish to be "normal". While a musician in the mortal world, she is an Adept in the magical world, possessing the ability to emit energy beams from her eyes.

Due to her inherited ability requiring a lot of concentration, and the incredible physical drain caused from it, Kalia is reluctant to use her powers, thus causing her reluctance to stay in the magic world.

When not among her true peers, she is aloof, laid back and never beyond ten metres from some kind of music-emitting device.

She does not stand out in a crowd due to her unremarkable appearance - dark hair and glasses. She wears branded clothing, but beyond that she is an average young adult.

"Oh, Thank Thee, The Amazingly Awesome Ninja Mecha Zombie Pirate That we know as THE Golden God (Or Derek Landy to the Masses, The Sickly, and Unwashed Masses) for putting this competition up for us. Because you are awesome".

Now that the customary Ego Stroking (God Knows you Need it...) is out of the way...

"I hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work."

Felix Dee Gallows, Practitioner of Magic “Most Fowl and Icky".

"...you all have the collective intelligence of the secret love child of a broken cinder block and an Undead Goldfish, and..."
Quoted from Felix's Speech to the Council of Elders, Seconds before his Arrest and subsequent hospitalization by Cleavers.

Appearance: The man known as Felix wears dress vests, fingerless gloves, loafers with blue jeans and a great coat (Shoulder ‘covers’ and all)

Physically, he *could* be considered a handsome man almost veering into "Androgynous Beauty". Dark Green eyes, long black hair tide back into a pony tail, a wide grin that sits on a small, curved chin.

Could, being the word here. His Dark Green Eyes are Bloodshot, Sunken and punctuated by black rings, from lack of sleep. His black hair is messy and oily and his Skin a dark, almost corpse grey.
The Fact that his clothes are often dirty and Sowed together in a weird series of patchwork patterns doesn't help either.

Magic: Felix Is an Adept, with the power to animate objects, giving them a semblance of life. With a click of his fingers, statues get up and walk, furniture bound and leap, with a bit of effort, even simple forms like fire and earth groan to life, and smaller objects combine together to form weird parodies of Voltron.
(Be as creative as you can, which shouldn’t be hard for you, all mighty one)

The Only real problem with the power is that these Constructs are not completely under his control, though they are “Helpful”. Fire, for example, would happily burn things at his command, but telling a fire to put itself out or cut back on property damage is hard. This means that Felix often has to bargain with what he is animating for there help.

Personality:
Felix is the Embodiment of the ‘gentle giant’, more willing to talk things out than fight, often giving his foes a chance to stop fight, and often apologises for beating someone to a pulp if he has to, he is also quite polite “Normally”, is over articulate and tends to be quite over the top when he speaks, and he has a no hitting girls rule.

He is known for defending even the “worst of the worst”, such as followers of the faceless ones, vampires and other Miscreants.

This coupled with his unshakable honour, humbleness and kindness has meant that he has gained both enemies on both the side of “Good” and “Bad”, and people like Skulduggery are just as likely to shake his hand as they are to try and remove the hand from his body.

He has a hate for the Council of Elders, not because of the usual “Restricting power and having to much power” deal that many people have with them, but rather because they tend to be hypocritical in there supposed “Fairness”.
(I Suspect that if Felix had been at the voting for the new Council in the sixth book, he would have immediately voted for the necromancers as part of the council)

He also has a…Fascination with many of the more “creepy” Elements of the magical world, he is one of the few that would stand up for the Necromancers, and has a well catalogued habit of “chasing the skirts” of anything from The Children of the spider (More so when there in there Spider Like Forms) to things like Sea Hags, and banshees.

Oh oh! I just remembered something about Maximus Crypt! He can also be described as He can also look on the bright side on a bad situation. Also when thinking, he would block out all outside distractions. Scenario: Fletcher dying, Valkyrie near tears, Maximus trying to save Fletcher.

Valkyrie: "Fletcher, please don't die!"
Maximus: "Shut up I'm working."

He doesn't like to talk about his past.

Name: Tessie Unloved

Tessie has sad pale blue eyes and limp brown hair. She is an Australian sanctuay mental patient so she has to wear a white nightie and no shoes. She is pale and skinny because she doesn't eat. Her lips are dry and cracked from not being given any water. Tessie, unfortunately, is sick from lack of sunlight so she barely ever moves.

Tessie's name was once Tessie Love she changed it when she was put in the mental hospital because no one In her family not even her mother made an objection. She used to be an elemental who could burst fire from her finger tips. But they took that away from her as well when she was put into the cell. Tessie was put in the cell because she had killed someone; one of the Australian Elders. Or apparently she did because she was the only one in the room besides the other Elder and the only one holding the gun. Skulduggery Pleasant is a well talked about thing in the mental prison sometimes she hears things like:
"this one was attacked by Skulduggery Pleasant, scared him for life it must've 'cause he went into a shop wanting to kill Skulduggery Pleasant. He thought they were all Mister Pleasant." and stuff about Valykrie Cain. "who does she think she is? A superhero?" Tessie is starting to wonder if these two people would help Her escape or get her free or at the least give her a trial. They seem to know justice.

I thought for a bit and decided to put this in but you don't have to.

The man walked over to her cell and opened the lock. He put his gun on the floor and sat by her bed.
"why did you change your name to 'Unloved?'" he asked. Tessie laughed,
"because no one loves me, I'm just a freak, aren't I? You don't really care, no one really cares. No one could ever go what I'm going through." her voice was increasing with volume and her hands had started to shake. He latched onto them and said,
"why did you do it?" she sat up straight and opened her eyes. She looked like she was going to cry.
"I want you to hold the gun up and shoot him." she said in a deep voice that wasnt her own.
"no, no don't do this, you don't have to do this Tessie, neither do you." she said in another voice.
"yes I do how else am I going to fo up there without you stoping me? Tessie shoot him." said the first voice.
"Tessie don't shoot me." the second voice pleaded and then in a voice of her own
"No,I'll do what I want to." she pretended to bring down her hand and used her other to pretend someone else was holding hers. She Made a shooting noise and fell on the bed. She got back up went close to his ear.
"I didn't do it. Don't you see. I have to explain it that way or no one believes me. You do believe me, don't you?" he looked at her, she was so young only 23.
He nodded his head.
"yes, yes I, I do. And I promise you I'll do anything to get you out.

I guess I'm going to have to build a shrine of you now, what with putting in two characters and all. So that now brings my tally up to two, and I initially was going to put just the one but my friend wanted me to put in this one.
Hmph.

Calliope LeMort grew up in a family of Necromancers, worshippers of both the Faceless Ones and of Mevolent in The War.
Due to being forced by her parents that would accept nothing but a Necromancer way of life for their daughter, she was given a pocket watch on her sixth birthday to channel her powers with. The problem being with this is that Calliope is deathly afraid of everything, terrified of darkness and death being included. So frightened she is that she even finds it a battle to step outside of a morning in fear that the sun's UV rays could mutate her cells and leave her with a horrible incurable cancer. This has remained throughout her whole life, and in that time she has become an expert in phobias, leading herself to believe she has just about every single one- and even a few more unheard of. Throughout her lifetime, she has embraced her Necromancy powers and has taught herself to control the shadows so that they sense fear and turn into their prey's worst nightmare, anything from warping into a giant shadowy spider to an obese axe wielding shadowy maniac. She derives happiness in knowing that people can be as filled as fear as her, and she has turned to a criminal lifestyle to do this as often as she choose. She was born in France, but was sent to live in London when she was 12 with her grandmother; an extremely strict no nonsense Necromancer made her granddaughters life miserable. She is now 98, with the appearance of that of a 25 year old. Quite timid and mousy in appearance, she has her blonde hair scraped up into a messy bun and usually wears neat light coloured blouses and skirts. Her slightly broken horn rimmed glasses sit upon her nose in a haphazard fashion, which she has been meaning to get fixed but has never gotten around to it.
Despite being a terrible fighter and not a very good leader type figure, she wishes to overthrown all the world's sanctuary's and make everyone crazed with fear- so they can finally understand what it is like to be here. Although she's not quite sure how she will do this, she is sure through constant prayer to the Faceless Ones she will complete her task and chaos will finally be hers.

But I already gave you a fake pear tree!

Claudia Burden
Adept
Claudia Burden is a in her late eighties (though she looks about her early twenties). She is and adept that has laser vision like Frightening Jones. She can fire beams of heat from her eyes. However, like Frightening, she cannot use the beams for long as they leave her temporarily blind and very weak as they drain her. To try and prevent this weakness she carries around a gun and dagger.
Claudia works for the Australian Sanctuary and is a highly ranked agent.
Claudia is short but strong. She can run incredibly fast in a short amount of time. She is slim and has dark brown hair that is long so she keeps it pulled loosely back off her face with ribbon. Her eyes are emerald green and she has a button like nose.
Claudia has a dislike for Necromancers after one killed her Mother (and the Death Bringer was going to kill three billion people.)
Claudia uses the sleeper hold on innocent people that try and stop her doing what she has to, once her opponent is unconscious she will try to put them in a place that they are not familiar with, that way when they regain consciousness they get confused and lost. On her enemies Claudia is not so light hearted, she kills if she has to.
Claudia wears dark colours as she likes to blend in with the shadows. She mainly wears dark blue jeans with black boots (she keeps her dagger in a pouch in her right shoe, easy access and it doesn't cut into her foot). She wears dark coloured polo's like black. She keeps her gun in a holster under her polo.

Always wanting something whether it be jewels, gold or a person Rylan will go to any and all lengths to get it and she never gives up.

And a very new and exiting member of the Skulduggery World.

When her friend asked her to set up a palm reading stall outside her knick knack shop, Emilyn Desolate didn't say no. It had nothing to do with being a Sensitive; she had a genuine interest and read her way into it. Business for her friend's shop picked up, and Emilyn could brighten a stranger's day just by holding their hand. Eventually she started dressing to suit the image of a gypsy fortune teller: red bandana, long cotton skirts and her own jewellery. People seemed quite taken with them.

So Emilyn filled her friend's shop with exquisite pieces of chain and crystal and beads, which she made by hand in front of the telly. She sewed pockets into all her skirts to hold five small pliers and lengths of wire at all times. Prospective muggers quickly learned of the existence of these pliers, and of the unspeakable things they could do to one's face. If they were lucky they were also granted an education in the relative hardness of minerals, when Emilyn's earrings were hooked into their eyelids.

Well, Emilyn Desolate was delighted to finally be useful. What good were visions - a phrase tomorrow's customer would say, a far-away natural disaster next week's new would pick up, or her own body twisting in a burning city - anyway?

Adana Bright.
Blonde and bubbly (and perhaps Australian) no one would ever believe Adana was a particuarly special Elemental and for good reason. She couldn't conjure a flame, she could hardly stir a breeze and anything to do with water frightened her. But Adana had a secret, there was an aspect of Elemental magic that she excelled at beyond compare....Earth. For ever since she was a little girl Adana had been taught by her mother as her mother had been before her, the secrets of the Earth. Adana loved the Earth, she loved forming trees and boulders out of the ground, she loved molding hills and gullys out of solid rock but most of all she loved the feeling of belonging and of power she got from it.

Personally I think this would better suit a guy rather than a girl but alas I live in Australia and can only create girl under the law of Landy. Either way I hope it is enjoyed.

Your shrubbery, your holiness:

Given Name:UNKNOWN
Taken Name: Rin Ayanami(Rin A-ya-na-me)
True Name: Despairtos(Des-pair-toss) http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/despertar-se#Catalan

Adept
Age:19

Powers: His red eye has the power to see very far away, see though illusions(maybe immuned against China's spell), people who are possessed and a reflection a mile away.
Stronger Shadow Walk
Former Powers
Fire - a blue flame making it 3 times powerful than above average flame and will continuely burn a target until there is nothing left but ashes. This advanced verison is highly effective against vampires, killing them, it is unknown how effective it is against a Faceless One seeing that Rin was doing something else at the time. Only uses it when he has absolutely no choice.
Water - he uses water to heal wounds, making him a field medic, can not produce any water
Wind - Rin only uses this Wind magic to push and pull objects or people as seen in the Star Wars movies(he likes those movies)
Earth - by manipulating the shape of an object made of metal and earth, he is bending earth to his will
Electricity -having both of his back hand have been covered in an electrical circuit pattern tattoo reaching his fingertips, he is to channeling/charging electricity using it offensively.

Physical appearance: White hair, red right(his right) eye and blue left eye, slighty-well-built body, the same build as Tanith Low's body.

Dress: During freelancer work for any Sanctuary branch, bounty hunting and adventuring, he always wears a -pair white leather gloves on both hands,
-lighter and white version of the Necromancy Order robes, with alteration to look like a white ringwraith from Lord of The Rings, with the hood on,
-a white faceless mask with eye slits depending on the situation of his job.
Upon cooking he wears an apron, over any clothing, everytime he cooks. Other times he works normal clothing.

Intelligance: The same level as Kenspeckle Grouse, developing and advancing in magic and forge the Echo Sword; the idea was that to use an echo stone every where you go without holding the stone and cradle together, two minds are better than one, the other idea for Rin, was to imprint a copy of himself to a weapon rather than a stone, using a black crystal instead of the cradle as a power source for the echo sword, pieces of the echo stone was implanted into Rin so that when he dies his imprint will be completely be up-to-date. Upon going to a mortal school for the first time, he has been held back a few years.

Personality: The silent type. In pre-combat he would always charges first, reasoning that, the longer the fight, the higher the casuality and post combat/retreating he would remain behind as a rearguard as they saying goes 'no one gets left behind'. He's always cold when there is a lesson to be told or when someone is wrong and has a weird way of being kind towards friends, having been with the Necromancy Order since birth, he was always alone until he went to a mortal school, which might making Rin immune to China's love spell, sensing the lonliness with in people. He became very talkative, developed a bloodlust and more funny when a Remnant tried to possess him.

Background: Rin was raised from the Necromancy Order in the asian branch.(more Background use the link: http://whitewraith-rin.deviantart.com/journal/)

Selene Descant
Elemental

Little-known magic-scientist who works for a specific clientele. Known exclusively by a few old magic families, Selene isn't generally disturbed due to her eccentric nature. She tends to avoid social gatherings (much to other people's pleasure) and mainly resides in the company of her specific clientele.

Selene's appearance is as obscure as her personality - Odd, knee-high socks of various colours, shorts or short skirts and themed jumpers of various bright colours being a part of her usual wardrobe. She has short, wind-blown light-brown hair and three piercings in her left ear but none in her right. She also has a star tattoo on the back of her neck.

Specialises in use of fire element for her experiments but is also adept at manipulating the water in objects however she has terrible control over the wind element (She had little patience for an element she viewed as useless in her experiments).

Forgot to mention that Selene appears to be in her mid-twenties but is actually approximately one hundred and fifty years old.

(By the way, I'm 13)

Character: Melody Finch
Appearance: Honey coloured hair that's neither blonde nor brown and unnaturally pale skin. Intoxicating green eyes with very long, dark lashes.
Melody can change her age, and be exactly as she was at whatever age she chooses (for example, if she decided to go back to being ten years old, she would look, act, and know exactly what she did when she was ten, although she is able to remember certain pieces of information if she chooses) She can also use this skill on other people just as effectively as on herself, and is quick to do so when annoyed. She has a bad temper and little patience. When asked if she is able to reverse her spell on other people, she claims that she can't or doesn't know how to, but it is actually quite easy for her. She is also able to unlock memories from a person's past. Because of this skill, she never forgets a thing, but on other people, she can override any natuaral or unnatural forgetfullness,(like an event in childhood that's very insignificant and was forgotten, or if the person has been forced to forget - like with Davina Marr)
She has few friends and doesn't care what anyone thinks of her.

(Please, knight that says 'ni', will you let us pass if we bring you a shrubbery? Not too small and not too expensive)

Sabrina Escrine
Appearance: tanned skin, short, cropped dark brown hair. Very dark, seemingly black eyes, short and just on the chubby side.

Sabrina is able to enchant anything to make it perfect for it's use. She works as a mortal policewoman and enchants all her weapons to make them perfectly accurate. Her favourite of them all is a gun, that while under her spell will never miss. She is well-known and admired throughout the 'police world' because of her extraordinary 'skills'. She wishes only to continue building her reputation as a police goddess and doesn't really care about stopping crime or serving justice, she only wishes to be admired. Sabrina doesn't involve herself in anything she doesn't have to, especially magical ones.

I hereby give the dreadfully talented and witty, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work, and promise at some point to send over a shubbery.
one that looks nice.
and not too expensive.

being australian i guess i should share a female character

#1 Name: (chosen) Sethia Song

unruly silver hair, hazel eyes, caucasian, but has seen some australian sun. athletic looking and average height, appears to be early twenties.

trained in necromancy until she was around 18, but defected after a change in beliefs. has a tattoo of (something not cliche) on her right shoulder or across her back with embedded black crystals that acts as the object which she can channel her migic through.
after leaving the temple Sethia focused her training on brutal mixed martial arts, and has become somewhat of a treasure hunter and theif, mainly magical artifacts. she is lethal and has a teriible habit of double crossing her associates

possibilities -
she could have aquired a magically assisted diamond edged sword, sharper than woven steel, which would be her weapon of choice, however that may just be rediculous, and illogical. could also be possible that the sanctuary has once offered her a job to collect artifacts for the repository.

My name is Elishia Ward and I’m from New Zealand, here’s my character oh mighty Golden God of all that is awesome, and your shrubbery has been delivered by my mice and can be found at:http://jincd.net/media/shrub.jpg

I hereby give my Golden God, Derek Landy, full rights to take this character and adapt it into his brain-explodingly brilliant work.
Name: Natter Brazen)
Age: Real-87, Looks-13
Magic: Adept-has the ability to speak to animals and read ancient texts (this is only possible after he has been studying the texts for three days, without interruptions).
Appearance: A young Irish boy with short, messy orange hair. He has green eyes that sparkle with energy and enthusiasm. Wears a baggy jacket that hides a small pistol in case he needs to defend himself. Always carries a small raccoon around with him, called Paul.
Paul: An actual raccoon that just doesn’t like moving so is mistaken for a stuffed animal. Paul has no magical powers, he just really likes Natter. Paul has a dark green ribbon tied around his neck.
Likes: Mimicking those who try to ignore him, anything sweet, proving people wrong, appeasing Paul, and pretending he is actually 13 years old.
Dislikes: Being ignored, being called short, potatoes, the magical people who don’t think he belongs with them, and anyone who tries to separate himself from Paul.
Weapons: A small pistol and Paul (if anyone tries to separate Paul from Natter, Paul will ATTACK!!!).
Personality: Natter likes to act like a child to reflect his appearance, however he does understand the normal things an adult should as well as being able to have a ‘grown up’ conversation if he has to, he just doesn’t usually want to. Often talks quietly to Paul, makes people believe that Paul is Natter’s imaginary friend, Paul is actually alive. Enjoys confusing people in order to prove them wrong. Will collect information on people through his sources (e.g. animals) but only for a price (sweets or something that pleases Paul). Natter is difficult to track down because he is not seen as ‘magical’; he hides in the ‘mortal’ world. He acts like your average child in order to avoid anyone magical; he can be found attending random schools or at parks and is never seen with adult supervision (because his real age makes him an adult).

Name: Jane Frost

Power: An elemental who is one of there kind. Instead of putting her efforts into fire and air (she still is reasonably powerful in those two elements to) she put her efforts into the water branch, more specifically the transformation of water into ice.

Profession: She works for the Irish sanctuary. She's not a detective but she catches criminals and is often support for other agents. She works on some small cases, some big. She is well noted in the sanctuary and lots of criminals know her.

Age: around 90 years old but looks around 40

Connections: She doesn't really have any but you can add them if you want

Clothes: She normally wears Ghastly Bespoke made clothes that are made to look like jeans, a normal shirt and a leather jacket.

Her hair is a bright blue and her eyes are like sapphires. She wears combat boots, won't say no to makeup and has a blue stud in her left ear.

Traits: She is sort of like a female version of skulduggery (to put it frankly). She is witty, smart and stores her rage inside of her where it is ready to come out when she has to fight.

She is a brutal fighter and all though she doesn't have any specific weapon she is known to create icicles in fights and use them as swords or knifes.

Part One of my FANFIC for my character Jane Frost

Jane Frost hung upside down from the chandelier in the ballroom of Charleston Manor. As her blue hair tangled in front of her eyes she was extremely glad that she had wore black tights underneath her dress.

Normally Jane wouldn’t be caught dead wearing a dress but she had been invited to dinner. Jane had shown up looking amazing at the doorstep and “bam” someone had hit her in the head from behind.

Jane was an elemental who hence the name “Frost” had taken an interest in the water, more specifically the solid form of water. Ice. A man walked into the room and looked up at her. He wore a black robe with a hood and had a fringe that covered his crystal blue eyes. On his right hand he wore a black glove, his distinctive item of power. Jane knew a Necromancer when she saw one.

“Miss Frost” The man said “You were late so now we are behind schedule”

“Good day to you too” Replied Jane “And may I point it out to you that it’s rather hypocritical of you to say that I’m rude by being late when your the man that has me hanging upside down in his ballroom and hasn’t even told me his name”

“You surely know me Jane, I know you. And for future reference this is a particularly stubborn mortals house”

“By particularly stubborn do you mean he was resistant to giving his house to a strange man?”

“Yes thats the folk he was also quite reluctant to being locked in his own basement. Much easier to kill him”

“Necromancers do love death”

“See you do know me!”

“Its blatantly obvious what your power was. The shadows literally move around you. Now you seem to know my name what is yours?”

“My Lady, my name is Raven Night and my face is likely the last one you’ll ever see”

“Unlucky me” Jane remarked and Raven took a step closer to her

“You should not mock the man that holds your life in his hands”

“An incredibly stupid man may I add”

“You laugh at me but I am smart, you will fear me!”

“Your not smart, a smart man would have used rope that binds his prisoners powers” Jane said sweetly as Ravens smile fell. Momentarily the moisture behind Jane’s back turned into water and then into ice. The ice cut through the ropes that tied her to the chandelier. The ropes split and Jane fell.

Part Two of my FANFIC for my character Jane Frost

Time seemed to freeze as Jane Frost fell. She looked down at Raven who had a shocked expression on his face. She managed to look downwards and push at the air. Even though Jane had spent most of her life studying water she still knew the basics of the other elements.

Jane landed heavily but the air managed to cushion her fall slightly so she didn’t end up with broken bones. Raven looked at her and snarled.

“Surrender and your death will be quick” he snapped but his voice quivered. A key sign of nervousness.

“You ready to dance baby” Frost said with a smile “I can tango all night.” Raven flicked his wrist and sent a wave of shadows at Jane. Jane jumped and rolled as Raven advanced on her. Raven ran at her and she pushed towards him into thin air.

A dagger of ice appeared out of nowhere. The dagger twirled and hit Raven straight in the chest pausing him in mid step. The ice spread across his chest and Raven struggled for breath as it surrounded him. The ice thinned and Raven swung his hand into his chest causing it to crack and fall off.

Raven staggered forward, gasping for breath. His lips were blue but yet he managed to speak:

“Give in now before I kill you” He said coldly

“Hows that going for you?” Replied Jane. Yelling something that was most likely a curse on Jane’s soul, Raven sent out wild streams of shadows and Jane moved quickly around them. When Raven paused Jane brought both her hands up like she was trying to lift weights and a wave of water picked her up. The wave carried her quickly towards Raven and she jumped, pushing off the wave.

Two icicles formed in her hands. She swung one and Raven ducked. She tried to stab him with the other and he made a weak shield out of shadow that broke when the icicle hit it. Raven swung a punch and Frost grabbed his wrist and held it against his back.

Raven squirmed and she dropped him to the floor. He scamped up and ran for the door but Frost just reached out with her hand and ice seemed to come out of the ground and grip onto his shoulders. Raven tried to get free but the ice was hard.

Jane walked over and as Raven looked at her she punched him square in between the eyes. Ravens head slumped forward and Frost pulled off his glove. The ice cracked as soon as Jane touched it and she pulled Raven away from the pile of broken ice.

She found some of the ropes she had been tied up in that were half decent and tied his hands behind his back. By the time she was finished Raven was awake and yelling.

“Let me go you, you...!”

“Please will you mind being quiet and make up your insults a bit quicker?”

“I’ll kill you!”
