Hmmm...
Just flicking through the books to remind myself of some details/dates, and I stumbled across a typo. I know there are a few in the books- it's kind of inevitable when the deadlines are this close together- but by the time the new paperback editions are published in April, I want all these typos to be fixed. Which is where YOU come in, my Minions.
I know that most of you have read these books a few times because you're, you know, insane and everything. Have you noticed the typos? Can you remember where they were? There are a few glaring ones, mistakes that I just should have caught, but for whatever reason I didn't. Care to help?

I hardly ever notice typos. I gobble up the books so fast, and to be honest, I haven't read them multiple times. The first three are back at the library, and the next two I own, but...Once I finish a book, I crave only new material. But I did notice one time, you called Davina Marr a "him" or something. I don't even remember where it was...Sorry. Not very helpful.
I was thinking, though, you should put a few answers to FAQ in your profile. So people will know why books 4 and 5 aren't out in the US and how they can get them, stuff like that. Or you could make a new tab for FAQ at the top of the blog, using a widget. Never done it myself, but I've seen other people do it.

yeah Derek, I love your books (I met you on the Gold Coast, Australia at Somerset College. You gave me a free shirt and I got you to sign it. Yeah that's how cool I am). BUT in 'The Faceless Ones' on p.157 it says Valkyrie '...ripped her arms out of the sleeves, abandoning the coat to the darkness' YET on p. 168 it says she '...picked up her coat' (I assume she has not left the Hibernian since Kenspeckle was fixing her tooth. So where did she get the new coat from?)
I hate to nitpick your work but I thought it might be helpful (well you did call for typos). ALSO in 'Mortal Coil' on p.342 the word 'was' is missing from the line '...she nothing but a slip of a girl.' Well, again, I assume it is since it is not someone speaking in a slang style and the rest of the book does not really include that style of language.

On the first page of Chapter 9 (The Hidden Room) there's a bit that says, "They were headed over to Gordon's house, to see if her late uncle's office held any books on the Grotesquery," and two pages later there's a paragraph that says the same.
Can't wait for the new paperbacks, I'm going to buy them for my nine year old cousin. She just started reading the series, and love it when I read it toher with special character voices. :D

I'm not sure if this counts as a typo, but one thing I'm not sure I understand...in Dark Days, at the end when there's HOLY CRAP SPOILER ALERT it says Valkyrie heard the name two days ago, but if Kenspeckle kept her in the hospital (is it a hospital?) for two days, does that mean the whole book's events were set over a day?

Okay, back for a SECOND. It's not exactly a typo, it's just something that I think needs fixed. On page 24 it says "They weren't great, and they weren't many, and hiding wasn't one of them." It should be..."They weren't great, they weren't many, and hiding wasn't one of them." And also, the amount of times you use 'she' in chapter 3 is...distracting. *Hides in a corner* Just saying!

OK. So there are definitely a few typo's I remember reading the books and finding one, staring at it for a few seconds then forgetting it. I'm not about to search for them now but I have something to say about typos:
They let us know that you're a real pperson. Not some big Idol of Awesomeness, so Mindblowingly Awesome that we'd squeal whenever we see you (and apparently write with a lot of capitols like in HTTYD...)
So, yeah, I like the typo's.
