I hate the piano, I mean, if all the grade pieces have to be classical pieces they could at least make them good pieces, the moonlight sonata 3rd movement, the three gymnopiedes maybe, but no, they all have to be Chopin or Field. So boring.

I dressed up as a school geek for a halloween party due to the fact my wonderful friend -the host- forgot to tell me it was only one day till the party. Surprisingly it was better than most costumes.
I went trick or treating a day early and I was refused candy by most :( but since im NOT EVIL, I let it slide... this time.
Oh and Steve Wright Sunday Love Songs has cloned itself 64 times...with 32 songs on each cd, two cds and 64 times... hmm... I think my Ipod had problems...

We went to some thing called Freakfest last night, at the time when all the students were out and getting totally smashed. There were some pretty inventive costumes, as well as the usual Power Rangers and TMNT. There was a couple dressed as Scrat and the acorn from Ice Age and they were chasing each other around. A guy had a sign that read "Bare it for the governor" and all he had on was a G-string. That was a slightly scarring experience.
I carved my first jack'o'lantern, because at home in South Africa we don't really do Halloween. And one thing they leave out in the movies and books is how raw pumpkin smells. I mean, that's something they should prepare you for. Ugh. My hands stank for the rest of the evening. But it was fun.
As for trick-or-treating, that's tonight. Of course, all my friends are back home, so I may not end up doing it.
But yay for Halloween :)

We had special 'Spooky Time' at the library i work in with stories and crafts, a lot of the staff dressed as witches and i was a skeleton, and we were on the local news because it was our 50th year of being open! check it out here.

We don't really celebrate Halloween over here in Australia, but it's slowly gaining popularity. A group of friends had a party and I dressed as (drumroll) Skulduggery Pleasant! We had guns that shot sticky/fake bullets and staged a bit of a shoot down - it was great fun!!!
I dressed up as Neko Zombie from Gregory Horror show...well, actually, I didn't have purple face paint, purple cat ears and tail or a blue and red striped t-shirt, so I was Neko Zombie's monochrome cousin. I was going to go trick or treat-ing, but only one of my friends could come so instead we just wandered around in the dark and talked about Resident Evil 4. I did scare a little kid who was laughing at us, though, so it's all gravy.
Oh, and on saturday I was cornered by two Stormtroopers outside Game. My friend just ran. A Jedi wandered out of Game when I was in mid-conversation with the Stormtroopers, looked at me as though wondering whether or not to save me, then just walked away. So that was interesting.
Pfft. Trick or treating? Nah, I'm too awesomely cool for that. I get to do baby sitting instead. Oh yeah. Bet you wish YOU were cool enough to do that. I sat, watched Black Sheep (The most rubbish horror film, of all time) ate pizza and threw sweets at the trick or treaters that dared disturb my teenager time. I did actually just throw sweets at some of them, but some of them were so adorably dressed, as pixies or wolves, and quite young, so occasionally I settled for throwing it in their pumpkin buckets. I'm very good at that, apparently. I managed to open the door, grab the bowl of sweets, grab a couple sweets in each hand, toss it in the pumpkins and close the door, leaving a rushed 'HAPPYHALLOWEEN' behind me, in about two seconds. Once. I lost the knack after that. And it might have been down to the fact that I had run out of chocolates and laughed as they noticed I was handing them mint humbugs and chocolate limes. The looks of disgust and horror on their faces was adorable, and it successfully managed to squash any guilt I'd possessed.
One of my friends dressed as a clown, another dressed as a witch, only to go for a walk, my sister went dressed as a scary fairy (which rhymes) and my other friends are still in Germany, being drowned by sparkling water. (Germans love the horrible liquid. Why? I mean, why would you make perfectly good water, fizzy? It's just a way to get kids to drink more water.)
What did you do then? Throw sweets at strangers? Nah, only I do that. Drink herbal tea? Eat Monster munch? I love monster munch. I hope you ate some.
im back from trick or treating was very fun until some people ruined it *aka mom* by not letting me watch a traditional movie like we do every halloween and then sent me to my room yelling at me so right now im on the blog to rant about because im not tired
i really want to watch Nightmare Before Christmas right now! curse you mom!
