Desolation Publication Date Changed!

Hello children.

February already, is it? Dear lord, where does the time go?

Into the void, that's where. Into the void with all the PLANS we make and the PROMISES and the GOOD INTENTIONS and the LIES... Ahem.

I'm busy. I'm working away. On what? Different things. Some will see the light of day. Some will not.  That's what happens. I've pretty much started the third and final Demon Road book, which is good, since my deadline is HILARIOUSLY close and I have an awful lot of work to do. But there are so many distractions! So many different projects to work on!

But I must focus. I must.

So, right now, my publishers are busy nailing down UK and Ireland tour dates for Desolation. First thing I have to tell you is that the release date has been changed, pushing it back a week to April 7th. Not that much of a big deal, and there are a load of external factors involved in the decision. It was explained to me but I zoned out. It's something to do with... something. Anyway, whatever, it's out on the 7th, although it will be available to buy a few days earlier at certain locations on my tour.

So, roughly, from April 3rd to the 7th, I'll be in Oxford, Manchester (don't know if it'll be available to buy early here, will check), Liverpool, Birmingham and London. Irish dates include Dublin and Kilkenny so far, from the 8th to the 10th.

As soon as these things become solid, I'll post them.

We're doing our best to have something cool happen in London, so keep your eyes peeled, ladies and germs. Awesomeness awaits. And possibly nightmares. Which is awesome in itself.

  1. Why must you delay the mental breakdown I would have had reading desolation now my entire schedule is put off

    ReplyDelete
  2. Not coming to Edinburgh this year?

    ReplyDelete
  3. (I concur. A Scotland date would be nice.)

    ReplyDelete
  4. ...

I mean, I'd say "Come to America!!" but I'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen, so...

    ReplyDelete
  5. Gasp. A post.

I'm with Fabi- You should so come to America but I give up on that. Amazon UK is my friend.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I also haven't been able to acquire and read Demon Road yet, so there's that.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh...okay then. Are there any signs of who she was?

    ReplyDelete
  8. ((Does anyone know what those two side by side red beacons are for on minecraft?))

*The body will lay there, then*

    ReplyDelete
  9. Also why must you have all these cool things in London it's so inconvenient for those whom are extremely lazy/underage(or in my case both) to take part in all of these fun things!! Bring it back to our home country please do something fun here too

  10. (Ignore them. Destroy them if you want. Don't dig around them.)

    *slowly searches the woman's pockets*

    ReplyDelete
  11. (okayyyy)
    -

*The woman will have an ID card in her pocket, labeling her as "Number 6606"* *Furthermore, there is a strip at the bottom that presumably is for being scanned* *In her picture, she doesn't look mummified- her skin is healthy*

  12. The 7th?
    😰
And tours in the England from the 3-7th? Awesomeness in London?
    😢

I'm going to miss it all by a few days :(((((

    Oh well :/

  13. Oh, I assumed vampires tracked like angels did. With like a little mental GPS. Like pigeons.
Me and Lizzie theorised that angels were actually part bird and that they do actually need to eat, but they pretend they don't bevause they eat worms and seeds and things and it's embarrassing for them.
So um yeah I assumed vampires tracked like pigeons as opposed to by smell but I guess by smell works too.
    *blinks sleepily*

  14. (Hey Dug :)

Just, you know, preferably don't remove the iron..)

    *frowns*
    Looks like someone is.. experimenting?

    ReplyDelete
  15. But he said he was going to do something cool in London, and wouldn't make sense to do it on a weekend? Saturday would be the best right? And he wouldn't do it the next weekend because he's in Ireland. And he said roughly..

But idk. Probably not. I mean, I can always order it online so at least I'll get it!

    Hey Jai!

    ReplyDelete
  16. What could have done this to her...?

((Have to get some homework done, wbveryd, sorry. :-/))

    ReplyDelete
  17. (*whispers to dug*
If the Icelandic volcano erupts *hurting no one* and spews ash everywhere the flights may be delayed.)

    Starvation?

    ReplyDelete
  18. ((Ah that's better.

Feels a bit wrong to be out of brackets when most people are in them.))

    ReplyDelete
  19. *whispers back*
    Oooh! That'd be awesome!
Except for the fact that we were leaving on Saturday so we had Sunday at home before school and work again but whatever. I'd rather go to a signing!

    ReplyDelete
  20. *No, she is not starved* *Would they open her stomach, they would see that it is full* *however, they are very likely to not perform an autopsy*

    ReplyDelete
  21. ((Yeah, pretty sure they wouldn't perform an autopsy.))

((I made a red book, but now I don't know what to do with it. I guess maybe it'll be a sketchbook? I didn't use the nice thick paper for it though, so idk. Really pleased with the cover though, and it has a secret pocket!))

    ReplyDelete
  22. ((@Noelle: I love how your typing gets more formal when you're roleplaying. :)))

    ReplyDelete
  23. *Slowly, the woman will turn to dust beneath them*

    ReplyDelete
  24. *Adra remains in the room, her insides feeling like they're on fire*
*For a brief moment, a small cat-door sized portion in the wall appears, and a platter of food is pushed in* *The door shuts, melts away*

    ReplyDelete
  25. Somethings draining her, maybe for her power? It would explain some things, I guess...

    ReplyDelete
  26. *glances over at the food* You should eat. *he wishes he had his coat, or magic to turn one of his bones into a weapon* *still, he moves a little closer to the entrance, thinking about it*

    ReplyDelete
  27. *She doesn't move* *She is physically incapable of moving* *Whimpers*

    ReplyDelete
  28. *Just the woman's clothes are remaining, in the pile of dust* *Her phone rolls across the floor*

    ((As a reminder again

Everyone is welcome to join! Everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  29. *touches just the edge of the tray, and gently pushes it towards her, till it's right in front of her* Are you able to move enough to eat it?
*a shudder runs through him, and suddenly, another name has vanished*

    ReplyDelete
  30. *nods to Fabi* That would make sense, I think- taking power would explain why Alastair disappeared. *pauses, thinking* But then why take pieces of Adra's organs?

    ReplyDelete
  31. *Has a little weak hand, and does lift a piece of bread to her lips, eating it* *It's rather stale*

    ReplyDelete
  32. [Fabi frowns and walks over to the phone, examining it to see if it resembles the unknown phone or is a bomb]

[Isn't sure whether or not to pick it up]

[Glances at Ari, then Silente and anyone else who is there]

Maybe just to weaken her? I'm not really sure, it doesn't make sense to me...

    ReplyDelete
  33. *nods slightly* *he will let her eat everything that she can before he takes any food*

    ReplyDelete
  34. *She will eat the bread, but no more* *Doesnt eat often, anyway, and her stomach is halved*

*A baked potato is left, with a square of butter, a glass of water*

    ReplyDelete
  35. *shrugs lightly* I don't know, either... But regardless, this woman is the best lead we have. Did you guys find any ID on her, or maybe a potential link to where she might have come from?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yeah, she has an ID. It said 6606. We could also check her phone for any info.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Do you think you'll be steady enough to drink some water without spilling it?

    ReplyDelete
  38. *Shakes her head* *Of course not* *It's okay, though, he can have it*

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ok. *nods* Phone sounds like a good idea. *bends down to pick up the phone, and tries to get into it, to look through it*

    ReplyDelete
  40. Alright- try to be still. *he lifts up the glass, then, and will feed her some of the water- he can touch the glass without touching the water, or her* *of course he isn't going to take it all himself*

    ReplyDelete
  41. [Watches, ready to help if Ari needs help cracking the passcode (if there is one) or something like that]

    ReplyDelete
  42. *She takes little sips, it quenching her parched mouth, but she is only able to drink half, her stomach becoming full*

    ReplyDelete
  43. *he sets it down, then, and moves the tray a bit to the side, still saving the water for her in case she needs it later* *he eats about half of the potato, and nothing else* Let me know if you want any more. *he slides back to where the room opened up, then, and bites into his wrist until it bleeds*

    ReplyDelete
  44. *She turns a away from him, and curls on her side* *She doesn't want to be so far away from him* *It hurts more*

    ReplyDelete
  45. *the first thing that pops up is a prompt for a passcode* *looks to Fabi* Do you know how to break through this kind of stuff?

    ReplyDelete
  46. ((Msd/mbd for a bit- getting dinner))

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yeah, of course.

[She takes the phone from Ari, examines the screen closely, then pulls out a little gadget and plugs it into the phone]

[The passcode types itself, and Fabi unplugs the device, handing the phone back to Ari]

    ReplyDelete
  48. *The screen will be small, with very few widgets on it- there is a phone app, a timer, and maps*

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm sorry, Adra... I'll fix it as soon as I can. And they'll find us. *pauses* Do you have your stone? No one should have been able to take it off of you...

Aretha: *her eyes widen a little* Awesome! Thanks. *she looks through it, then*

    ReplyDelete
  50. *She nodd* I have it, but it isn't working in here.

    ReplyDelete
  51. ((I'm reading this, but I haven't had time to jump in. We're having our kitchen redone tomorrow so we've been cleaning out the kitchen.))

    ReplyDelete
  52. ((Alright, Zafira.))

    I see... I'm sorry.

Aretha: *nods, and checks through the phone app*

    ReplyDelete
  53. *Adra remains on the floor, grasping her side, which is throbbing profusely* *She's seized with a. Coughing fit, where her throat is clogged with blood* *Begins to hack it up, the substances spilling over the floor in a splatter* *She lays back down*

    ReplyDelete
  54. ( nooo I missed star! :( *hugs her* you've been gone in forever! )

    ReplyDelete
  55. ((I suppose you haven't.))

*winces* *he wishes he could help her*

*the phone's numbers are all blocked*

    ReplyDelete
  56. (hey trip! *offers handshake* ....I'm ...*ponders* ecstatic )

    ReplyDelete
  57. ((Good evening trip! You should be sleeping!!))

*She just lays there, blood dribbling from her mouth*

    ReplyDelete
  58. ((Trip! Hello!))

((Hey Zaf, Keiron, anyone who's ghosting))

    ReplyDelete
  59. (mostly just life:P it doesn't say Glasgow or edinburgh so i'd need to drive to an England one if he doesn't)

    ReplyDelete
  60. ((*Gently holds him, then* I'm sorry, hon. *Snuggles, feeding him chocolates*))

    ReplyDelete
  61. ( Hey Fabi :D

this feels cosy I like it, we've not had this many people on in a long while it seems.

I also seen someone said about jumping in, are we doing another group rp? if so can I get a quick recap and ponder whether or not I should/ whether or not you want me too :P )

    ReplyDelete
  62. ((Offers Trip some nice warm tea and a pink bunny rabbit.))

    ((Feel better soon, friend.))

    ReplyDelete
  63. (It's on the last page of the previous post and this one. It won't take long to read))

    ReplyDelete
  64. ((Yeah, we are. Alastair, Niccolo and Adra were kidnapped by an unknown entity that seems to have a lot of power and stuff. Also Adra's missing pieces and coughing up blood, and Fabi's hair keeps turning silver. Um, currently Aretha, Fabi, and Silente are around Adra's lab, trying to figure out what's going on. A woman showed up, said "two weeks" and died. Ari and Fabi are trying to figure out who she is now.
Niccolo and Adra are trapped in an undisclosed location that magically protected against vampires using blood to track people.

    I think that's it?))

    ReplyDelete
  65. ((Yeah, I would strongly recommend reading it if you want to join.))

    ReplyDelete
  66. ((*Hugs her little Twippy* *Holds him, snoogling*

    ReplyDelete
  67. ((Ooh, I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but I put a bunch of Bloglandians' names in a random Hunger Games generator, and one of the randomly-generated events was "Adra convinces Trip to snuggle with her." It was pretty great.))

    ReplyDelete
  68. ((It doesn't take much convincing. He's easy :P

    ReplyDelete
  69. ((I'm sorry you aren't feeling well, Trip.))

*he just waits, then, for the hatch to be opened again*

    ReplyDelete
  70. ((I already exploit you, Trip.
*Whisper* I use you only for your hugs :)))
((Aretha and I are in the process of making Adra's lab on MC, for all who are interested at taking a peek..))

*It will be a while, though a while may be short*

    ReplyDelete
  71. ((Once I've finished the church of jeb_ I think I'm going to have a go at remaking the bar. That'll be a real challenge.))

    ReplyDelete
  72. *he will continue to wait there until it happens, occasionally biting his wrist again when he needs to*

    ReplyDelete
  73. ((I promise to not sabotage it!!))
    -

*It will be twelve hours before the door opens again, a hand slipping in to place a new tray*

    ReplyDelete
  74. ((@Trip Elleni won, without killing anyone, actually. You made it pretty close to the end, but you made contact with spiny, lethal plant life.))

    ReplyDelete
  75. ((Gtg soonish, Pilates class. Will be back around 9 or so pacific time.))

((Leaving a bit early, because the local art supply store is having a buy 1 get 2 free sale on paintbrushes. :D))

    ReplyDelete
  76. ((How quickly did Adra die?))

((*Hug* Illhave to show you the lab sometime soon!))

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  81. *he will try to use that small piece of him that isn't bound to heal himself, and secondarily, to feel for what's around them* *and he still won't let go till he draws blood*

    ReplyDelete
  82. *He will likely have drawn blood by now* *But it doesn't taste human* *He will yank his arm away*

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  84. *The tip of a sword will skewer it, then, and lift it from the floor, to shove back in the hatch*

    ReplyDelete
  85. *his hand is forced back in, then, before he could get a good feel for their surroundings, and now it's bleeding- but at least he did manage to clean his blood* *he tears off a bit of his shirt to tie around the wound, and slides closer to Adra, taking her hand*

*he speaks aloud, briefly, but loudly* Even if you aren't human, there's a chance that whatever disease I had will kill you. I am the only person alive who knows how to heal it. If we are released willingly, I'll make sure you don't die from it.

    ReplyDelete
  86. *She feels, and has heard him being skewered* *She takes his injured hand, and holds it to her cheek, cradling it with her other hand*

*There is a low laughing from the other side, and the door closes*

    ReplyDelete
  87. *kisses her head, once* There. You won't be alone. *reaches out for the new tray, pulling it closer to them* You should try to eat some more.

    ReplyDelete
  88. *Her lip trembles at the thought of it* I'm sorry- I don't know if I can.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Try for me, please. Just a small amount. *squeezes her hand gently*

    ReplyDelete
  90. *Ok, she will* *The new platter of food again has a piece of bread- but today, there is a little bit of cheese, and an apple* *She tries to cut the apple with the plastic knife, but can't* *Takes the cheese, then, and breaks that in two, before breaking the bread in two*

*Nibbles at the little cheese then bread*
*Leans against him, happier, feeling safer, now that he isn't ill*

    ReplyDelete
  91. *lets her lean on him* Thank you. *he eats some of the cheese, and then cuts the apple into slices, and offers her one*

  115. [Fabi glares at the phone, her hair starting to turn silver again]

[She sees the reflection of it in the black screen, and it makes her angrier]

[You've gotten to the point where you can be around people again, but you still can't control that []ing hair.]

[She doesn't throw the phone across the room]

[She sets it on a table, not too gently]

[To Sil and Ari] I'll... I'll be right back.

[She vanishes before she can slip any further]

    ReplyDelete
  116. Fabi appears in a warehouse, the walls of which are still coated in a thin layer of metal from the last time she was there. She's not even sure where all this excess metal comes from, or where it goes when she makes it go away. She can't be creating it out of nothing. Life doesn't work that way.

She closes her eyes and the metal drains out of the walls and out of her hair, pooling around her feet. If she were to open her eyes, she'd be able to see her reflection, distorted by the ripples. She doesn't.

Tiny droplets rise from the pool and begin to swirl around her, like a silver hailstorm. Some of the droplets form chimes that hover in the air, others collide with the chimes to make a cacophony of plinking noises. Fabi mentally adjusts the chimes and the timing of the plinking until she gets a tune that sounds familiar. She begins to sing, with no regard for the lyrics. It's just a noise.

    A minor, E minor, C major, G major, repeat
    A minor, E minor, C major, G major, repeat
    A minor, E minor, C major, G major, repeat
    A minor, E minor, C major, G major, repeat

When she grows tired of that one, she switches to another

    A minor, F major 7, C major, G major, repeat
    A minor, F major 7, C major, G major, repeat
    A minor, F major 7, C major, G major, repeat
    A minor, F major 7, C major, G major, repeat

Funny that those two songs match up like that. Well, maybe not so funny. She's used to transposing the second one from another key.

After about an hour, she stops singing and collapses on the floor. The chimes and plinky-things liquefy and fall, some of them seeming to evaporate before they hit the ground.

    "Are you...alright?"

    ReplyDelete
  117. Fabi jumps to her feet and whirls around, her glare resting on a youngish man in the doorway.

"No one is supposed to be here."

The young man shrugs. "I was just passing through, when I heard the most lovely singing, and I--"

    "Don't lie to me."

    "Alright! Alright! Your singing's terrible."

Fabi nods, well aware of this, but she was asking about something else. "How can you just be passing through an obscure warehouse in the middle of the Canadian wilderness?"

"Oh! How silly of me. I should have introduced myself sooner. My name's Mack. Mack Benjamin. I'm a wildlife photographer." Mack holds out his hand, expecting Fabi to shake it, but she stays where she is, twenty feet away.

"Well, that's just lovely. I'm not a bird or a rabbit or anything like that, so I believe you're in the wrong place."

"I didn't think you were a bird or a rabbit or anything. Birds and rabbits aren't usually beautiful." Mack attempts a cheesy grin, but his confusion and concern about what he just witnessed breath through the humor. This weird lady made chimes appear in the air.

"I said don't lie to me. Who sent you here? Who told you about this place? What makes you think I won't kill you?" A single silver tear runs down Fabi's cheek as she asks the last question.

Mack takes two big steps backward. "I'm really sorry, miss. I didn't see any signs saying it was your property or anything. If there'd been a "no trespassing" sign posted, I never would have come. I--"

"Listen, Mack Benjamin. You're going to forget you ever met me.."

    Mack blinks. "I don't think I could forget... I mean, I am?"

Fabi sighs, her voice changing to mimic a certain persuasive Irish collector. "Yes. Yes, you are. You stumbled across a warehouse on one of your wildlife photography trips and thought it might make some good photos, but when you got closer, you realized it was too decrepit. You decided it wasn't worth your time and headed off to photograph a black squirrel. You certainly didn't meet anyone up here. Why would there be anyone up here? Part of why you chose this place was because it was so out of the way."

Mack frowns in confusion, moving backwards without seeming to realize it. "That makes sense. I mean, part of why I picked it was because I thought it'd be quiet enough that the animals would be out."

Fabi nods sympathetically. "It's a pity that wasn't the case. Maybe you need a quieter brand of shoes."

Mack continues to walk backwards until he's halfway down the hill. He stops and frowns. He could have sworn he'd been following a black squirrel...

Meanwhile, Fabi stands very very still, looking down at her hands. She managed not to kill the irritating mortal. She hopes that's a good sign.

  118. Time passes, and Fabi decides it's been long enough. She can't afford to have people worrying about her just now, and if she can avoid hurting a wildlife photographer, she can avoid hurting her friends. It's time to do something productive.

She disappears, reappearing outside the lab.

    *******

Mack Benjamin returns to his hotel in the nearest town. He spots one of his buddies from college, the one who recommended he come out here.

    "Hey, Robby!"

    "Hey Mack. Any good shots?"

"A couple decent ones, but nothing spectacular. I spent a lot of time trying to get a photo of a black squirrel, but it moved too quickly."

"Aw, that's too bad. Better luck next time."

Mack and Robby go for a drink before Mack returns to his hotel room. He drifts in and out of sleep, his dreams invaded by a mysterious silver lady, asking him why she shouldn't kill him. He wakes up earlier than he planned and can't get back to sleep. He shivers, wondering where the dream came from.

He pulls out his phone and makes a quick text.

    Hey Robby, you still up?

His phone beeps a while later and he grins.

You know me, I'm a night owl. Sup?

    --

I just had the weirdest dream, and I feel like it's trying to tell me something.

    --

I'm the wrong guy to ask about dream stuff, sorry dude.

    --

Yeah, but I didn't know who else to talk to. These small-town folks mean well, but I don't want everyone going around saying I think some dream lady is trying to kill me.

    --

So it was a dream about a girl.

    --

Not a romantic dream or anything. She was asking me why she shouldn't kill me, and her eyes were literally made of steel.

    --

I'm gonna pretend I know what I'm talking about and say that steel-eye-lady is somebody you'll meet soon who might end up breaking your heart, so you should avoid her.

    --

    Dude, that makes no sense.

    --

Are you criticizing my dream-reading skillz?

    --

What kind of person spells skills with a z?

    --

    The stylish dream-reading kind, apparently.

    --

Yeah, don't quit your day job.

  119. ((I don't even know where I'm going with this anymore. Mack thinks Fabi is going to try to kill him, and Robby's jealous that Mack had a dream about a girl, but is trying to act chill about it??? I'll probably wake up tomorrow and ask "what the eff did I just write?" but hey at least I wrote something. I've been really bad at that. I think I might keep it as an AU though, so it doesn't interfere with the main plot or anything. Not really sure. Eh, we'll see.))

  120. @Lantern: :) I enjoyed it, anyway.

@Keiron: Alright alright keep your hair on. :P We'll be online at the same time eventually.

  121. . . .
I was away for my Blogversary.

How many years has it been now, four?
Must have been. I came when I was thirteen.
It's do hard to keep track now . . . I have a really good time perception of the first few years when I gave a shit, but then it all just sort of turns into a mush . . .

Either way. I'm four blogyears old. Yay?

  122. Hey guys, I don't know if anyone remembers me, but hey, here I am again! I don't even remember the last time I commented on one of Derek's blogs, but I'm pretty sure it was over a year ago, around the time that the Skulduggery Pleasant series finished (it still feels really weird to say-or type-that). I haven't been on here in so long because high school just gets really busy sometimes, and I've just sort of had to push Derek's blog to the back of mind for so long that I almost forgot about it. But only almost. Anyway, I just wanted to say hey to everyone old and new in the blogoverse, and also, I'm kinda annoyed at Derek for pushing the book release back, because that's another 7 days that I have to wait for some of his new material, but at the same time I'm happy, because this way he gets to be able to put more work into Desolation. Well, I've got to go now and do my homework, but I will try to start commenting again at least once every 3-4 days, so, you know, bye until then! :)

  123. (Also, it's going to come out 2 days after my birthday, so at least this way I should be able to buy it with some birthday money, because I'm broke as hell right now)

  125. Hi Rueben.
    Sorry nor really here.
Getting ready to go to peak district.

  126. *She closes her eyes gently* If you insist... I'm just worried for you.

  127. April 7th- my birthday! One more thing on this day to be happy about :D

  128. *nods* *he knows- and he knows that refusing to sleep is self-destructive* *but right now, he is a threat to her, and if anyone else threatened her she likely wouldn't be able to defend herself, so he has to* *thinks, for a moment* If you knew that Alastair were here, in another room, perhaps, or back in Blogland, and he needed you... Do you think you would be able to escape?

    ReplyDelete
  129. ((Yeah, pretty sure I shouldn't leave that in there. I'll leave it up if it's not too confusing, but I don't think Fabi can have been gone that long. Unless maybe she left while people were sleeping?))

    ReplyDelete
  130. ((Okay. Assuming she teleported away and then back again while people were sleeping, and after she set the phone down, she just went to the bathroom or somewhere quiet. I feel like that makes more sense.))

    ReplyDelete
  131. *Her heart squeezes* I don't know if I could. *She bites her lip, eyes watering* I can hardly move..

*Another strip of Fabi's hair will begin to run silver*

  132. *Breathes out slowly* I would either try to harm myself, or try to find the source of what is binding our magic. Then.. I'd try to destroy it. Or, I would use my blood to try to make counteractive symbols.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Why would it help you to harm yourself? *he's considering her other ideas, also- he has enough blood that he could certainly draw symbols with it, if he knew where the bind was coming from*

    ReplyDelete
  134. *She nods* If they want to keep us, they need S alive.

    ReplyDelete
  135. *thinks about that for a moment* I suppose they do. *keeps that in mind as a last resort, and gets up to examine the walls, looking for any trace of what binds them*

    ReplyDelete
  136. (that was a sure surprise I thought everyone would be gasping in my return)

    ReplyDelete
  137. (dugglyn? hey! last thing i remember was that I dropped you from the sky)

    ReplyDelete
  138. ((Yep, tis me!
You dropped me from the sky?))

    ReplyDelete
  139. (yup, I was flying with you and then I sort of disappeared)

    (darn gotta go soon)

    ReplyDelete
  140. ((Huh, okay then! I haven't role played in ages!

    Oh okay :(
    Pie!!))

  142. *Dugglyn is walking through Blogland, near Adra's lab*
*she notices the clothes of the women, 6606, on the ground*
*walks over to them and frowns*
*it looks as though someone had been wearing them and then some how undressed, leaving their clothes behind*
*like they evaporated or... turned to dust*
    *hmm.*
*decides to knock on the door*

  143. *There will not be anything, visible or invisible*She gently raises her arm, placing her teeth against it to draw blood, so that she may try a symbol* *It's hard for her to get her jaw to clench hard enough*

    ReplyDelete
  144. *moves over to her, and gently pulls her arm away* Adra, my hand hasn't stopped bleeding yet. You can use that- I'll lose blood regardless, and you've lost too much already.

    ReplyDelete
  145. *The door will be unlocked, so Dugglyn can enter*
    -
*She takes his hand, gently rubbing her finger through the blood, and begins to draw on the wall, a circle, then begins to fill it in* *It's like she can see without sight* *It glows once, then flickers out* It's not working..

    ReplyDelete
  146. Is there any reason you can think of why it wouldn't work?

    ReplyDelete
  147. ... It's a bound room? Maybe it's like a magic vacuum.

    ReplyDelete
  148. *enters, looking around curiously*
    ...hello?

    ReplyDelete
  149. Perhaps... *considers that for a few moments* *he'll see if he can power it the next time they're given food* *in the meantime, he draws a few symbols of his own*

    ReplyDelete
  151. *Alright*
*She feels around on the floor, trying to see if there is anything soft for her to lay on* *There isn't* *rests her head on the stone* How long have we been in here?

    ReplyDelete
  152. *he would give her his coat, if he still had it* *it feels wrong not to have it* *regardless, he slides closer to her, silently offering to let her rest her head on him* I don't know. But there were at least a few hours in between the times we've been fed.

    ReplyDelete
  153. *She does curl against him, closing her eyes* Okay..
*There's another sharp pain inside her, and she begins to loose feeling in her feet*

    ReplyDelete
  154. *gently, he slides them closer to the hatch* *he has to be prepared- he doesn't know how much, but he's sure they lose a lot of time between openings*

    ReplyDelete
  155. *She will likely just rest there for the next twelve hours, laying against him*

*When the hatch reappears on the wall this time, it is on the adjacent wall: their meager food is pushed through by a stick, and then a closed envelope is placed on the platter* *The hatch melts away*
