February already, is it? Dear lord, where does the time go?
Into the void, that's where. Into the void with all the PLANS we make and the PROMISES and the GOOD INTENTIONS and the LIES... Ahem.
I'm busy. I'm working away. On what? Different things. Some will see the light of day. Some will not. That's what happens. I've pretty much started the third and final Demon Road book, which is good, since my deadline is HILARIOUSLY close and I have an awful lot of work to do. But there are so many distractions! So many different projects to work on!
But I must focus. I must.
So, right now, my publishers are busy nailing down UK and Ireland tour dates for Desolation. First thing I have to tell you is that the release date has been changed, pushing it back a week to April 7th. Not that much of a big deal, and there are a load of external factors involved in the decision. It was explained to me but I zoned out. It's something to do with... something. Anyway, whatever, it's out on the 7th, although it will be available to buy a few days earlier at certain locations on my tour.
So, roughly, from April 3rd to the 7th, I'll be in Oxford, Manchester (don't know if it'll be available to buy early here, will check), Liverpool, Birmingham and London. Irish dates include Dublin and Kilkenny so far, from the 8th to the 10th.
As soon as these things become solid, I'll post them.
We're doing our best to have something cool happen in London, so keep your eyes peeled, ladies and germs. Awesomeness awaits. And possibly nightmares. Which is awesome in itself.

Sitting in my accounting lecture and i'm really bored. A guy just came in like 35 minutes late and sat down on the squeakiest chair in the whole room. There are like 200 people in here and it's like complete silence cause everyone is on their phones instead of paying attention. So everyone around him burst out laughing. He turned bright red. So glad i wasn't him lol

Carrots weren't orange until the 16th century or so. The original carrots, cultivated in the middle east, were mainly PURPLE and yellow, with occasional other varieties of red, white and even black. Orange carrots were bred much later by Dutch scientists and rose to popularity as a national symbol. These are the kind you see in the grocery stores today.

1. A bit sad. Like life is pointless and that nothing really matters, which can make me feel a bit hopeless (as in, it's like the opposite of having hope) but at the same time it just makes me feel a bit numb and uncaring which can be good or bad.

I've never tried to keep up to date with music. I despise capital but I do listen to it every few weeks or so because my family usually put it on in the car.
I would merely dislike capital on the grounds that I only enjoy about 10% of the songs they play, but I have upgraded it to despise due to the fact that whenever they get a really good song they fucking REMIX it.

Mortality may seem like it sucks most of the time but honestly, I'd rather not live forever.

I felt really beautiful today. I've barely eaten recently, though that's because I'm up late at night, and stay in bed all day. I just rest and relax, and food isn't necessary.
But then I ate, and I feel all lumpy again.
It's so discouraging. No one ever says anything to me- about anything, really, so I'm halfway left on the side, wondering if my life is even worth it..

Starving yourself isn't a very healthy way of losing weight, and obviously it just makes your stomach cling on harder to any food that you eat . . .
Lizzie's rather obsessed with losing weight, and for the past few days she's been going to the gym for half an hour nearly every day and she says it's working for her and is really pleased about it.
She also got a Fitbit for Christmas and it measured what she ate and how much exercise she did and everything and then told her how many calories to eat per day, and that gave her quite a lot of distress because she'd eat lower than the recommended amount and them have to run around at the end of the day trying to find calories and eating that much at once made her feel sick, but if she did everything the Fitbit told her to do she did lose weight.
I'm taking that as proof that you have to eat more than you think you do in order to lose weight healthily. I know eating might seem counterintuitive but it's not a simple maths equation. It's not like "Wat = gain weight" and "don't eat = lose weight." So even if I can't convince you that you don't need to lose weight (because I really think you don't, but I know I'm unlikely to get through by telling you to), at least maybe u can get closer to getting through to you by pointing out that plain not eating isn't always the way to go?
