It's a proper book now.
Demon Road was a little over 121,000. I had wanted it to be 80,000, which is roughly the size of Dark Days. Obviously, that didn't happen. But I am DETERMINED that Desolation be of a more manageable size. It'll probably end up somewhere around the 100,000 mark.
Writing a book can be a struggle. It's just so happened that in the writing of this one, every time I started to flow, and write LOTS, I had to go off on tour or do festivals or get interrupted for a multitude of reasons. It's very hard to build up any kind of rhythm when your writing schedule is kinda messed up.
But I'm flowing now. I want to get this latest draft off to my editor on Monday, because on Tuesday I'm off on holiday to Disneyworld and Universal Studios.
For Halloween.
Ooooooh this is gonna be my kind of holiday. By day, we go to Magic Kingdom, and go on rides and visit Harry Potter world and just have good, nice lovely fun...
But at night...
Universal Studios over Halloween has the most terrifying horror experiences on offer, and I will be going and subjecting my girlfriend to the ordeal. I'm going to tweet about it. I'm going to take videos. You may see me scream.
But it shall be a manly scream. A WAR CRY.
And then I'll run away and leave Laura to face this guy on her own.
Gonna be FUN.

You said you nearly cried . . . Often, if you don't stop yourself crying and /actually/ cry, people will realise that they're really upsetting you and that can be useful. I mean, I can fully imagine that she sees it as a joke - if you show her that you really are upset, she may feel bad and stop.

Celery really isn't enough.. if you eat healthy foods you can stay thin in a healthy way and it might help you feel at least a little better in some way because you are not always hungry. I realize it's not just as easy as suddenly eating enough again but maybe try and start by adding a bit of something else with unsaturated fat or protein into you diet, like some sort of nut? Almonds and peanuts are good! (To me at least, Idk maybe you don't like those or are allergic)

Gah Microsoft -_- Please just STOP. Don't make ANYTHING. Like just close down all your factories and fire all your software developers. -_- First you took Windows XP and 7 which were awesome and screwed them u with Windows 8 and 8.1, then you tried to correct it with Windows 10 but tbh it's still nowhere near as good as Windows XP or 7 like NOWHERE near. Then you took Nokia and ruined their phones with your OS. You also ruined Hotmail with Outlook which is utter rubbish. Now you've made the rubbish even worse! At least on Outlook it loaded quickly and was easy to refresh. Literally nothing has changed but the layout but somehow needs a few seconds loading, and I have no idea how to refresh the stupid thing. And the Hotmail app on my phone has stopped working. I was still using the Hotmail app. One day it didn't refresh so I tried to reinstall it from the play store but no, all it said was hotmail is now outlook so I thought okay and installed Outlook and it was the biggest pile of shit ever I couldn't read an email without it stopping working -_- I couldn't scroll and it kept freezimy and there were so many damn glitches. So I found hotmail again on a website so started using that again -_- And now that's stopped working when you made Outlook worse -_- They take something simple and y'know working with something which is complicated, stupid and doesn't work -_- If/when I buy my next laptop, I'm getting Windows 7. And I'm keeping Windows 7.

PS: If your neighborhood is popular, or just in a general area, expect lots of kids. Depending of if you hand the candy to them, or let them grab a handful: if the first, buy something worthy of one or two packets of sweets. If the latter, buy enough to last a year(ever so slightly exaggerated)- a year for someone who saves their sweets; not enough to fill the house, but enough to last a night of small handfuls.
And IF also the latter, MAKE SURE THEY KNOW ONLY ONE HANDFUL. Otherwise, they might try to take advantage of free handouts.
