It's not easy writing a book.
I mean, it's easier than mining coal. It's easier than most factory work. It's probably easier than a lot of office jobs as well.
But STARTING to write a book... those first few inches you have to push that boulder till it hits the edge and starts to roll downhill... THAT'S the hard part.
Not as hard as teaching, granted. Or working on a farm. Or being a doctor or a nurse or a cop or a fireman. I doubt it's as hard as construction, either, or carpentry, or plumbing, or engineering.
But STILL...

Dear Darling Diary,
Another day working at the florists, and the work is great. The flowers constantly smell amazing and everyone is always smiling! Flowers can brighten any situation. The sigils I've incorperated into the bases are working well to better preserve the flowers for longer so business is improving as well. This is an amazing apprenticeship and I can't help but enjoy it. A nice family came in today wanting flowers for a wedding! An actual wedding! Can you imagine anything better? I love weddings, they're so nice. The homeless centre is still fun. The people there love it so much. It's so nice to make them smile, to make them happy.
There's still no sign of Leri, but I'm sure she'll be back soon. She's such a good person, I really do love her. Maybe I can buy her something with the extra salary I'm getting, something nice, a necklace maybe, something easily sterilized so she can wear it under her suit instead of on top, actually feel it on her skin instead of through the suit. She'd like that. Maybe something to match her eyes. She has such beautiful eyes. I really do love her.
