Dannielle - There is no conclusive evidence which suggests that any form of afterlife exists. It is more likely your dream was spurred on by the fact that you were talking about Chase earlier in the day, nothing more and nothing less. Coming on and calling us idiots would in no way help Noelle or help the situation. As it seems that Noelle is actually alright - all your swearing and insults were for no reason, and accomplished nothing. And this, may I add, is why you should do as I said originally and wait for further evidence before you jump to conclusions and start swearing at and insulting those more logical than yourself. Which tends to include avoiding overpopulation, as this generally causes the species to use up its resources and die out.
Did you know that if a group of rats is put in cramped conditions and a different group of rats is given plenty of resources and space, there is a higher percentage of gay rats in the cramped population?
So I'might fairly sure both gayness and asexualityness are important for the continuation of the species, thank you very much. ;)

Okay. Time to write down a variety of things that have passed through my mind recently, then.
Thing 1.
We had an English exam on Monday and we got two poems, and the first one described how beautiful lilacs were making their way into every corner of city life. And I came into school the next day and everyone was saying 'omg that first poem was actually about prostitution did you pick up on that because I didn't.'
So when lunch came around, I said to C, who is better at English than me and would pick up on these things, "Everyone's saying the first one was about prostitution, but I don't see how it can be," and she was like, "Well, I think it touched upon it," and I was like, "Yeah, I'mean pretty sure it mentioned prostitution - bare-legged girls, exchange of flesh and money - bit I don't think the whole poem was a metaphor for prostitution or women hinge," and she was like, "No. No, it wasn't," and I was like, "So you didn't talk about it? Because I didn't," and she was like, "Well, I mentioned it in talking about the vileness of the city, but I didn't talk about it any more than that," and I was like, "Ah, I didn't even do that. I don't believe prostitution is inherently vile anyway," and she was like, "What?" and I was like, "I seriously don't see what's wrong about it," and she was like, "No. No. It is. Don't even go there. Just - you're wrong. /No/" and I was like "?"
So yeah. Can someone explain to me exactly why prostitution is meant to be so bad? Because I really don't get it. Am I just being asexual and ignorant here?
Thing 2.
Let's explain about asexuality here, because no one ever knows about it and I can never be bothered to explain all about the ins and outs of everything in detail. But some of you (Fera) wanted to know, and I have time, so here goes.
Let's started off by thinking about sex and gender. For most people, their sex and their gender align, so most people don't even bother to find out the difference between the two as it has no relevance to their lives. But for some people, their sextet and their gender /don't/ align, so as such, we have created two different concepts for sec and gender instead of one, and different labels and such, most of which are only relevant to a small minority of people.
Attraction is a bit like the sex/gender phenomenon. For most people, their secular orientation and their romantic orientation align, so they just stick them under one label (eg. straight) and leave it at that. But for a small minority of people, their romantic orientations and their secular orientations don't align, so they could be, for example, a heteroromantic homosexual - they could fall in love and feel romantically attached to people of the opposite sex, but they could only feel sexually attracted to (although never fall in love with) people of the same sex.
Where does asexuality come into this? Well, there are a LOT of asexuals with mismatched orientations - a great, great number of asexuals can still be straight/gay/bi/pan but not experience any sexual attraction to the people they like.
So just because someone is asexual doesn't mean they can't get attracted to people. It just means that their attraction doesn't include any sexual feelings.
However, there are people who aren't romantically attracted to anyone either - as in, they can't fall in love or anything like that. You can have aromantic sexuals (who probably don't often know what they are, we think), and you can have aromantic asexuals. Like me. Hello. :) Aromantic sexuals get sexual lyrics attracted to people but don't ever really feel romantic love for them. Aromantic asexuals are very simple - they just don't feel any attraction towards anyone.
That was probably very confusing. I'm sorry. It's a confusing thing.

There's a transgender guy at my school - the only transgender person I know of - and it's just so heartwarming how accepting the whole school has been of him. As far as I can work out, he's just been like, "I'm a guy now. I want you to call me Axel instead of Amber" and basically the whole world has just been like "okay" and has just thoroughly accepted and complied with this, no questions asked. I am, frankly, AWFUL at remembering to call people by the correct name and pronouns after they change them (it's easier for me on the Internet, but most of you have witnessed at least a few of my slip-ups), and I referred to him "Amber" the other day whilst in conversation with my friends, and C went "Amber? It's AXEL now, Holly. And it's HE, not she. God, get if right." And I believe most of you know how narrow minded C can be sometimes, so just - yeah. Seeing this amount of acceptance is really nice. :)
Thing 4.
Alright, I'm gonna have to say summat.
Look, I'm ace/aro (asexual/aromantic), okay? I'm apparently deficient of some of the most basic emotions on life. Emotions which people will say are part of being human and that make us human. And yet, despite being deficient in some of the most basic human emotons, am I still human?
I believe I am.
And therefore, when you say that people are inhuman because they lack some basic emotions - or not even lack them, just don't have as much of them - I'm kind of like "Wow. Thanks."
The way I say it, you can be perfectly human and perfectly valid as a person even if you are missing in some basic emotions. Either that, or I'm not human. And I mean - well, if you think I'm not human, I won't necessarily hate you or even dislike you, but I will have to fundamentally disagree with you.
So yeah, I believe that you are equally human even if you care less than some people, and that you are equal human even if you're completely deficient of empathy.
(Although if you go around causing human to people, I'm going to believe that it is better if you were locked up, no matter how human you are. I'm sorry - many of the few.)
I also believe that human life exists as a sdries of spectrums. We are all different colours of the rainbow - of people were excluded for not being blue enough, we would end up with a lack of red, and the rainbow would be incomplete. I believe that people who care more than most are absolutely lovely and that can contribute positively to life - but I believe that people who care less can have strengths in other areas and can also contribute positively to life.
I also believe that as we are a rainbow spectrum of people, we are all different, and as such even if two people may care the same amount, they may care differently, and as such may express their caring differently. And just because someone is expressing their caring differently to you doesn't mean they don't care. And if they didn't care then that is fine so long as they are causing no harm because of it.
If I posted this on WhatsApp C would make a lot of marks about my optimism and idealism and naivety, bug you're all ridiculously idealistic and naive here anyway so it'll probably go down well. ;)
(Er . . . I'm not sure if I meant that as an insult or a compliment.)
Thing 5.
Year eleven is insane.
I'm not even kidding. Everyone was so normal and ordinary and then they hit year eleven and they all went insane. It's glorious.
After spending ten minutes in English planning an informal letter to a fictious friend giving her advice on a problem - her problem being that she was stuck on the Mid-Atlantic ridge and was scared the Earth's polarity was going to switch at any moment (we'd had a physics exams the day before) - I asked my tabe why everyone had gone so insane and what even was life and why was year eleven so great.
And the girl next to me said that she'd always been this insane, but that she'd used to hide it for fear of looking weird, bit that now she was just like 'whatever' and just let her inner weirdness out.
Which is exactly what happened to me, except I started letting my inner weirdness out when everyone was still trying to be normal. :P
But anyway.

PLEASEEEEEEEEE let your inner weirdness out and don't try to be ordinary and normal! It is so fun when everyone around you is insane! It's great and I love everyone so much more now! Come to the dark side!

Thing 6.
Thing 6 will be about the Stormlight Archive. Because I keep roleplaying Kaladin and it keeps making me think about it and freak out. Plus autocorrect keeps offerING Kaladin's name to me and it just makes me want to rant about Kaladin okay.
I believe I mat have to subsection this.
6. a) Lirin
Kaladin (that's a character) grew up in a small town in Alethkar (that'a a country) where most people were farmers. Kaladin's father, Lirin, wasn't a farmer. He was a surgeon. I could, at this point, describe Kaladin's entire backstory and the ins and outs of every significant event that happened. I'm not. Mostly because spoilers. I'm gonna talk about Lirin - because Lirin was a good person.
My favourite Lirin quote - "Someone has to start. Someone has to do what is right, BECAUSE it is right. If nobody starts, than others cannot follow."
Other Lirin quotes - " Lirin made quite a few decisions during what we saw of Kakadin's flashbacks. And not all of them were good decisions. And one time, he made a decision that was the RIGHT decision - the decision that was the most honourable and right. And it had very bad consequences and made things a whole worse for everyone.
I started a debate on that, and asked everyone I knew what they thought - should he have done the right thing, the good thing, even if it led to bad consequences, or should he have done the wrong thing, that would lead to good consequences?
I still don't know the answer, but my mum, when I asked her, pointed out to me that his son (that's Kaladin) watched him do the right thing in that instance, and that impacted Kaladin. Whenever Kaladin has a major choice in life, he often thinks of his father, and that often persuades him to do the right thing. And not a 'right thing with bad consequences.' A 'right thing with good consequences,' such as saving people's lives. When faced with the choice to abandon people and stay safe, or to risk his life to save people, Kaladin thinks of his fayre, and that causes him to choowe to save people.
Maybe doing the right thing seems a bit blah at the time, but your actions /can/ have impacts on others. And I'm just very grateful to Lirin for causing such positive impact in the world even though he never thought his actions would have such far-reaching impacts.
Yeah. So. That's why doing the right thing Can be the right thing. :)

6. a) This title should say something about how people have value.
Kaladin has a bit of a thing about protecting people. It makes him both beautiful and messed-up. I mean, a desire to constantly protect people sounds good, but he gets so perfectionist and OCD about it, and he always picks the HARDEST people to protect, and then when they end up dying he always blames himself and gets so depressed over it.
But you see, you initially think he's an idiot when he decides to protect someone. They're usually so . . . fragile - you know they'llc get killed within an instant, and you also know even if they do survive, they'll be no use. When Kaladin was a soldier in Amaram's army, he used to save his money to bribe the other squad leaders to get them to transfer their rubbish soldiers, that would be worth nothing, to him. And you couldn't help but think that this was going to backfire on him - his squad would be filled with rubbish people and what good would that do him?
Until you'd been following these people for months, and you saw that either Kaladin could use them, could teach them, could make them useful, or, if it was inevitable that they would never be able to fight, they could develop other skills, have other uses, and contribute to the team just as validly in other ways.
And you also go to know them as people. Got to know their personalities and appreciate them.
And then, once they'very become friends to you and you'be seen how valuable they can be, you can't believe that someone would throw them away, would see them as worthless, would use them as a body to take an arrow to gain them an extra five minutes to win a battle. Their potential is so /unrealised/, and it hurts that that will never be acknowledged.
And the moral of this story is - everyone has worth. Everyone can so something. Everyone is valuable. The young boy at the front who has barely used a spear? He's valuable. The one-armed Herdazian at the back who will never be able to carry a bridge? He's valuable. The man who's injured and now has no legs? He's valuable. The man who isn't even human? He's valuable.
(Um, there aren't any female bridge men or soldiers, so I have no female examples, but females are valuable too, as are people of other genders. And Kaladin knows that).
Not sure I can think of an immediate Thing 6. c), and I don't think I have time. :P
