Nah, I find it easier to play renegade as FemShep and paragon as ManShep.
On 360 I had a trilogy playthrough (Veteran/Insanity/Insanity) but I ended up failing to be evil on Feros and Noveria. This time around (on PC) I'll be much more ruthless.
But I'm annoyed. Surely it's more practical and smart to be "good" on Noveria. I can't always be evil :/

(Then we started having a full on conversation about Mass Effect, which was pretty cool.
It appears me and my friend have COMPLETELY different favourite classes.
My favourite class list (in order) goes:
Infiltrator.
Adept.
Engineer.
Vanguard.
Soldier.
Sentinel.
Whereas his is the opposite.
I can play every class but the damn Sentinels and they're like the easiest to play. :P I can only play the N7 Paladin sentinel and that is the ONLY Sentinel I can actually use.
But Infiltrators are so awesome.
(For anyone who hasn't played Mass Effect, Infiltrators are like hey I'm invisible [insert sniper rifle shot here] MWHAHAHAHAHAHA.)

Okay, well.
There are three BIG classes.
Engineer, soldier, adept.
Engineers focus on tech powers like taking away enemy's shields and burning their armour and the like. Also hacking enemy technology (including synthetics like the Geth so they can fight against themselves which is pretty cool).
Soldiers are just... well, soldiers. Shoot everything, throw grenades everywhere. Very good at using weapons.
Adepts are biotics. Like Sophia. So they can create barriers, rip people apart at a molecular level, lift people up in the air, freeze them on the spot with stasis, and create points of nearly infinite mass called singularities - which are effectively small black holes.
Then there are three sub-classes. Sentinel, Infiltrators, Vanguards.
Sentinel is the class that I CAN'T PLAY. They're like a mixture of Adept and Engineer - so they have both biotics and tech powers. They have something called tech armour which gives you damage protection also.
Infiltrators are my favourite. Like a mixture between Engineers and Soldiers. They have mainly tech powers with a few combat-y ones. Their main power is Tactical Cloak which makes you invisible and gives you damage bonuses on weapons so it goes great with a sniper rifle or a shotgun.
Vanguards are like a mixture between Adepts and Soldiers. They have biotics but it's very combat-based biotics. They're very aggressive and tend to use a high-risk-high-reward system. Like they can completely empty their shields into an energy pulse and the like but it leaves themselves vulnerable. Their main power is biotic charge where you encase yourself in biotic energy (and become invulnerable for a few seconds) and go flying at a target, causing damage on impact as well as refilling your shields.)

Difficult to say. Soldier is good in ME1. Though I like biotics, and biotics make things easier, so for harder difficulties I prefer Vanguard. Throwing enemies in the air and finishing them off with a shotty? Heck yeah!
Mass Effect 2. My favourite game. I refuse to play this on anything other than Insanity difficulty. And I just love the Vindicator assault rifle! And only the soldier can use the assault rifle so :/
I only ever tried one other class in ME2 - I think it was the Infiltrator. I gave up because I couldn't take down the vorcha before their health regenerated. On second thought, doing Archangel's recruitment first was stupid because I have no use for the assault rifle that nets me, so...
ME3. Soldier import from ME2. I've done nothing else. Multiplayer though... that is an entirely different matter.
Infiltrators are fun with snipers, but I find that you do need a Geth or E.D.I. with a shotty to do well on the higher difficulties.
Vanguards have to be my favourites though. For bronze and silver.
I want to mention the N7s though. They were all awesome. From triple grenades to infinite grenades to slayer swords and paladin shields -it's all great.
But the special place in my heart goes to the N7 Fury. She may be weak, but she is the best. She dishes out excellent damage to Cerberus.
(Fun facts: If you use Kinect with ME3, saying "boomstick" makes the character pull out the shotgun.
Also, I had the chance to play with Jumpinproductions, that was great! c:
