A few hours ago I was sent the finalists for the Gordon Edgley Book Review competition, where people had to review books that they (or anyone else) had never actually read. These reviews were BRILLIANT. We got some of the best, most imaginative responses back, and it was not easy picking winners.
But picking winners is what I had to do, and so the winners are Patricia Snake, Sophie Carter, Ella Corkum and Katie Roberts-Malpass.
Huge congratulations to the winners, and a huge congratulations to EVERYONE who entered. You have kept me entertained...!

@Sophia: I don't mind normal social conventions whilst being polite. I do mind the social convetions that normal people have and I don't, because I don't even know them. Dates . . . don't even go there. :O No one has ever informed me of the social conventions for a date, so if I ever go on one, it will probably fail.

*Casha had heard the voices outside as she woke up. She then got up and headed to the balcony. She gasped when she saw Rose talking to herself but she knew who it was. She started getting angry and was extremely tempted to take her head off in flight.
But she didn't.
She did however spread her wings and flew down to stand behind Rose. She growled at Judhipor.*

Lorcan picked her up gently and held her close to him. He started rocking her gently while he whispered.*
Lorcan: What's the matter little girl? Bad dream eh? Oh dear...
*Her cry seemed like a pained cry as she held herself tightly into Lorcan. He sat with her on the rocking chair, gently stroking her hair and rubbing her back.*
Lorcan: Someone is in pain, are you hurting somewhere sweetie? Are you sore?

Emerald was hunkered down in front of her, holding her hands but she was shaking so badly.
He sat down beside her.*
Lorcan: Are you okay? Do you want a glass of water or food?
*She shook her head as her whole body was just shaking.
Lorcan knew it was against his better judgement but he placed his hand on her shoulder.
She screamed slightly as she stood but as soon as she stood away from him, her knees gave out again.
Roland picked her up quickly and carried her back into her room.
Lorcan sat with his head in his hands while Emerald rubbed his arm.*
Lorcan: So much for comforting her...
Emerald: She has gone through so so much sweetie, you just have to take the reactions as they come. They aren't a reflection on you.
(I'm going to disappear now good night everybody.)
Thor: I did not wish to force her to leave Midgard, she was happy there, and I too. When she died, I knew she was going to wait for me in Valhalla. I found Zanida, and well...I guess fate never intended me to make Jane one of us.
*She held Ariana close to her and buried her face into the child's hair. What was going to happen to her? Would she hurt the others?
When she heard Casha's scream, her heart seemed to stop in her chest. What she had done was stupid. Of course she shouldn't have sent Lorcan down there. She didn't realise that two and two...
She let her tears fall into Ariana's hair and hugged her tightly. She took Lorcan's place in the rocking chair, pulled her legs under her, and rocked slowly, crying*
*Ariana was still crying in pain as well. She held on tightly to Rose.*
