Excuse me as my author goes to punch a wall, this is hmmm...the sixth time she punched this wall? Yeah, sixth. She usually screams she hates being an Ameriminion.
Yep, Star. I now have this page open in five differrent tabs, in the hope that ONE of them will load up something that's NOT an error page. :P
*hugs Zaffffff* Someday... :(
(*frowns at the kicking* Well, I don't think it's Derek's fault, exactly. I presume touring is arranged by the publishers/publicity people and things? Also, I'm no expert, but I have a feeling that America is a BIG place, and so the minions are probably quite widespread? And maybe the books are less known over there, generally speaking? Thus it's probably not terribly easy to organize successful tour stuff, if you get me? In any case, though, it's not Derek's fault. And although it may be pleasantly therapeutic, kicking can hurt, y'know. :P
idk. I hope Derek CAN get over to the States at some point in the near future, though. That'd be awesome. :) ^^ )
(Sorry, commenting is verrrry not working. Distant/msd)
*the Midnight Hotel blooms from the ground* *I step out onto the balcony on the second floor* *spread my arms* *take a deep breath*
Ahh, what a lovely day. The sun is shining, the sky is clear, and two of my five favorite authors tweeted me back with names for the kitten I'll be getting soon.
@Annika: I haven't heard of any of those three series *makes note*. But Moggle is also a good suggestion, actually. :) Also, the fact that you'll be getting a kitten just struck me, and YAY! :3
Yes! A local shelter recently got a fleet of 3-month-old kittens, most of them with a lame paw or a missing eye. They were rescued from a very bad situation, and I shall get one of my own!
Sorry, ANnika. Commenting is proving difficult. ^^
@Zaf: Aw. :/
My iPod can hardly even keep the music app open without crashing, so internet use is almost totally out of the question in any case. And my phone doesn't let me comment on here, ever.
(Currently it seems I can only comment if I quickly press the post comment button then minimise the blogger window and wait for a few minutes. Otherwise it says there's a server error if it's on screen whilst posting a comment. I have no idea why.)
(Elleni - long story. Giant robots. Mind control. Silente. Silente is going to get her mind controlled by a race of giant robots. *nods* Basically. :P)
Silente, you said that you couldn't be stuck like this forever. You're indoctrinated. You know you are.
Shit. I remember something. I once read a report from a mission on the planet Theros. There was an ancient, sentient plant on the planet called the Thorian. Whoever breathed in its spores were mind controlled by the plant. I remember reading that an indoctrinated civilian had the effects counteracted by the Thorian spores. But we don't have a Thorian. And being under the Thorian's control is almost as bad as the Reapers'.
She thinks it'll fix it or something, I'm not entirely sure. You'd have to ask her, not me. *clutches her forehead* Ugh. *screws up her face as colour drains from her face* *staggers slightly*
Yes. I could give people the coordinates of the planet. The Thorian was killed, but those who had been infected by the spores still had side effects from it, as if it still affected them in some way. I just need a spore sample. Being dead, the Thorian shouldn't control Silente's mind but still counteract the indoctrination. She might have a few side effects but nothing major. Occasional muscle spasms.
*shakes her head* No. I don't need to lie down. *straightens up* I'm fine. Just a headache. That's all. *turns back to Sophia and throws her arms out slightly to keep her balance* What are the symptoms?
The symptoms include headaches, dizziness, paranoia, you feel like you're being watched, ghostly visions, hallucinations... then the Reapers will manifest themselves as voices in your head before they take complete control of you.
I could get there in my ship, Hunter. But it'd involve me leaving for a few weeks. Which isn't something I want to do with an impending Reaper invasion. A portal would be the best way to get there.
Hunter: *slowly* Well . . . I have to time travel to get here. So, theoretically, I could spend an awful lot of time (*or pay someone else to do it*) getting there in my time and then come back here tomorrow . . . But I'm not prepared to do that unless I have to.
Muscle spasms, at the very most. And not major ones. You could also be mentally connected with the people of Zhu's Hope who were affected by the Thorian previously... but that is only when you're close to them. And they live half a galaxy away. So that won't have any effect.
I can already reduce the mass of my ship to zero, Hunter. I would just need more power to propel the ship to greater speeds...
Or, I could simply not decelerate for a longer time. When you travel faster than light, you accelerate for half your journey and decelerate for the other half so you arrive in your location at the same speed you left. I could potentially accelerate for longer, but it could be dangerous. But would cut down the time of the journey by a few days.
Silente, that is the only way I can think of to cure it. Having muscle spasms is better than having your mind controlled by bloody Reapers. Think about it.
Acceleration, Hunter. My ship can travel at fifty times the speed of light but it still isn't enough. We need to get there and get back as fast as possible. However, travelling that distance in one journey creates another problem... the drive core will be filled with static electricity which could reach dangerous levels by the time I get to Feros.
Hunter: *frowns* Yes, but this time, you won't be able to come back. Plus, you'll be spying on us. You could get us killed. Is that what you want? Me and Sophia, maybe, but Elleni, Viv?
I didn't even HELP. I just got my stupid self stuck on a stupid robot with a stupid broken arm and a stupid controlled mind. *puts her head in her hands*
Hunter: You know, Silente? You're lucky you care about them. You should be glad that you mind about their lives. It tells you you're a good person. *his eyes are dark grey*
Well, I imagine Sophia knows better then the rest of us what we're dealing with. I'd listen to her. Why are you still here, if you know you're being used against us?
I haven't got a choice, Silente. Anything you see - the Reapers see. If we're talking about plans to survive, then they will know. And they will be able to stop us. Personally, I don't find being harvested and turned into a Reaper that appealing.
I promise I will shoot you before you hurt anyone. But it won't be too late. Even if they take full control of your mind, it won't be too late. What will be too late is if you lower yourself down on to a spike and get turned into a Husk. Then there is no cure.

Maybe iPods work better with Blogger...?)
*She took one arm away from Zaf and held it out to Loki*
If you really want a cuddle so bad...
@Death: I'm on a laptop, and I'm fine - I just have to reload a few times . . .
Maybe desktop computers have a thing with blogger...?)
@Death: *shrugs helplessly* *doesn't know D:*

IT'S THE PUBLISHERS
PLEASE STOP BLAMING ONE OF THE MOST WONDERFUL PEOPLE I KNOW FOR SOMETHING OUT OF HIS CONTROL
IT HURTS
@Death: Silente's on her phone, so it's not just computers. :/

@Death: Silente's on her phone, so it's not just computers. :/
STAAAAR!
*hugs*
Derek was one of the authors who tweeted me! He says I should name my kitten Smudgeface.
*crosses fingers*
Pretty pretty pretty please work!
@Clara: Yaaay!
Smudgeface sounds nice. :)
Hi!
OMG IT WORKED!
Does anybody just see the Armageddon outta here trailer?
I do! :/
Bye!
Email, Sil!
@Annika: *grins* I think Smudgeface sounds pretty cool. :P
What was the other suggestion, from which other author? :)
*hopes this one takes less than 30 minutes to post?*
Scott Westerfeld (author of the Uglies series, the Leviathan trilogy, and Afterworlds,) told me to name it Moggle!
My comments are having difficulty posting as well . . . and I am on my beloved laptop . . .
Hullo?
(Huh. That's an improvement... )
I don't have that problem, Dugglyn, sorry. :(
@Annika: I haven't heard of any of those three series *makes note*. But Moggle is also a good suggestion, actually. :)
Also, the fact that you'll be getting a kitten just struck me, and YAY! :3
*shakes an angry fist at Blogger*
My iPod finally gave up.-Zaf
Yes! A local shelter recently got a fleet of 3-month-old kittens, most of them with a lame paw or a missing eye. They were rescued from a very bad situation, and I shall get one of my own!
I am going to leave now, and give Blogger a little time to recuperate.

@Annika: Oh, poor kittens. :(
But it's grand that you'll be helping one out! :)
Alright. See you, Anni! *waves*
I'll probably come back to try every so often, I'm not sure.
I'll keep my email open anyway, in case anyone's lonely? :P

(*tries to post comment without minimising*)
(Oh yay it works. :D)
(Mine seems to be working NOW. :P)
@Elleni: You're like the only one wihtout problems, then . . . O_O
Oh
It's better for me now, as well. :)
Maybe it's fixed . . .
YAAAAAAAAY!
(Please...)
(Yay hey Star! ^^)
Hey Silente. :)
Hey Dragona! :)
(Wait are you working?)
(Yes! Haha! Thank you!)
(PEOPLE. :P)
(Okay Draggie we can continue here now if that's okay?)
PEOPLE ARE ARRIVINGGGGGGGGGGGG
*runs in irregular pentagons*
(Yes, that's fine. :P
Basically, Silente kind of accidentally revealed to Keating that she was indoctrinated, for anyone who doesn't know which will basically be everyone.)
No! I'm not! You're crazy! I'm fine.
Star: *falls over*
ARGH!
*rolls over and stands up, dusting off hands*
*runs more slowly and cautiously this time :P*
*because it's naturral instinct to put a name and a colon in front of any type of roleplay even if it isn't now XD
It's fine, Elleniiiii. :)
(Elleni - long story.
Giant robots.
Mind control.
Silente.
Silente is going to get her mind controlled by a race of giant robots. *nods*
Basically. :P)
Silente, you said that you couldn't be stuck like this forever. You're indoctrinated. You know you are.
*shakes her head, wincing at the head it gives her*
No I meant something else!
**headrush
You were asking about a cure for it. There's no bloody way you could have meant anything else.
((Hunter: Distantly here.))
Hunter: Silente.
We're not trying to pester you, or hurt you.
But the quicker we know, the quicker we can cure it.
Yes there is!
Hunter: *watches Elleni drag Silente away*
Okay.
Bye.
*looks at El with fearful eyes*
*whispers quietly*
I don't know...
(*Feros, typos. :P)
Hi Dragona! Hi Elleni!
*waves greetings to all who are returning, also*
It's workign again, now? :)
Might be around, a little, for the next half hour, then. :) ^^
(Hey Raisin! How are you?)
What happens with what?
((Hunter: Hi sparkly person! :D))
Hunter: @Sophia: Do you think there's any way people could portal to some place where they have it?
I don't know that either! I don't want to ask Sophia, she won't tell me anyway. If I get close to her she changes the subject to something stupid.
She thinks it'll fix it or something, I'm not entirely sure. You'd have to ask her, not me.
*clutches her forehead*
Ugh.
*screws up her face as colour drains from her face*
*staggers slightly*
(@Dragona: *laughs* I'd forgotten about raisin, and it caught me by surprise then. :P I think I rather like having a nickname. :)
I'm good, thanks. :)
Hi Hunter! :D)
*shakes her head*
No. I don't need to lie down.
*straightens up*
I'm fine. Just a headache. That's all.
*turns back to Sophia and throws her arms out slightly to keep her balance*
What are the symptoms?
(Taia, lol. :P Raisin. *nods*)
Hunter: Okay.
*nods*
Unfortunately, one of the only people who can do portals of that nature is Silente.
(@Dragona: *nods, too* :P)
(*watching*)
The symptoms include headaches, dizziness, paranoia, you feel like you're being watched, ghostly visions, hallucinations... then the Reapers will manifest themselves as voices in your head before they take complete control of you.
I could get there in my ship, Hunter. But it'd involve me leaving for a few weeks. Which isn't something I want to do with an impending Reaper invasion. A portal would be the best way to get there.
Okay. See. It could still be a coincidence..
Hunter: Sorry, but I can't really do portals of that nature very easily . . . *pauses, thinking, his eyes flickering a few different colours*
El it could just be a coincidence! The plant they're talking about could screw me up worse for no reason!
Hunter: *slowly*
Well . . .
I have to time travel to get here. So, theoretically, I could spend an awful lot of time (*or pay someone else to do it*) getting there in my time and then come back here tomorrow . . .
But I'm not prepared to do that unless I have to.
No, Silente. The plant is dead. The spores will have minimal effects.
If there was a way to speed up my ship, I could get there quicker...
Minimal effects are still effects! What effects Sophia?!
Hunter: *his eyes flicker again, trying to think of possible ways to speed up ships*
Hunter: @Silente: *shrugs, and his eyes rest on grey for a moment* Possible side effects are better than definite mind-controlled zombie effects.
Muscle spasms, at the very most. And not major ones. You could also be mentally connected with the people of Zhu's Hope who were affected by the Thorian previously... but that is only when you're close to them. And they live half a galaxy away. So that won't have any effect.
*shoots Hunter a look*
I'm not a mind controlled Zombie.
Muscle spasms? To what degree? Randomly falling over? Dropping a cup? Throwing a knife wrong?
Hunter: @Silente: Not yet, you're not. :)
Hunter: Power.
What kind of power?
Not when your job requires precision its not! Throwing a knife wrong could get me killed!
Hunter: *shrugs*
We'll find a way to fix the muscle spasms.
*his eyes are still on Sophia, waiting for an answer to his question*
Acceleration, Hunter. My ship can travel at fifty times the speed of light but it still isn't enough. We need to get there and get back as fast as possible.
However, travelling that distance in one journey creates another problem... the drive core will be filled with static electricity which could reach dangerous levels by the time I get to Feros.
But you can't guarantee that Hunter!
(Brb.)
Hunter: @Silente: Yes I can.
@Sophia: You see, I know a thing or two about energy.
I can absorb electricity.
I'm not sure if I can get you to go faster, however.
How can you Hunter?! You don't know ANYTHING about this plant! And Sophia knows how it reacts with HUMANS not VAMPIRES!
Hunter: *frowns* Yeah, but it's betetr than being a zombie.
It might not be though Hunter! Maybe, maybe if i am being controlled, maybe it won't even be that bad!
Hunter: You seriously think that?
It'll be like being dead.
...I've been dead before Hunter.....it wasn't that bad....
Hunter: *frowns* Yes, but this time, you won't be able to come back.
Plus, you'll be spying on us. You could get us killed. Is that what you want? Me and Sophia, maybe, but Elleni, Viv?
*pauses*
I...no.
*sighs*
No. I wouldn't. I don't. Not now not ever.
Hunter: *nods at Silente, and his eyes are brown now* I'm sorry.
I shouldn't have jumped onto that stupid reaper.
*sits down heavily on the ground*
Fat load of good it did anyone.
Hunter: It's okay.
You were just trying to destroy it.
I didn't even HELP. I just got my stupid self stuck on a stupid robot with a stupid broken arm and a stupid controlled mind.
*puts her head in her hands*
Hunter: @Elleni: We can bring her back.
@Silente: Yes, but it's the thought that counts, and you did a very good job distracting it.
Yeah. Distracted it enough to make it destroy a few more homes. Lives.
Hunter: You know, Silente?
You're lucky you care about them.
You should be glad that you mind about their lives.
It tells you you're a good person.
*his eyes are dark grey*
*laughs*
Yeah. Good. Sure.
*falls backwards from her sitting position so that she's laying down*
*lays an arm over her eyes*
Hunter: *shrugs* Gooder than me.
That's what you think.
So. How do we fix this? Cause it sounds like the plant is a no go.
Hunter: That is what I think.
*his eyes brighten a bit* I don't think it sounds like a no go at all.
You have no optimism.
Well from what Sophia has said if she goes for the plant it will either take forever or her ship will explode.
What's your problem now?
Hello Alastair. Remember the big robot from yesterday? Well apparently, according to Sophia, I have THAT controlling my brain.
Are there more of them coming?
Soph thinks so. She's under the impression I'm being used to spy for them and find weaknesses and what not.
Hunter: @Alastair: Apparently.
@Silente: I'll stop her ship exploding.
(soz if slow reply cat on hand, arm pinning my typing hand.)
*Adra curls herself against Alastair, hugging him*
(Back.)
*holds Adra tightly*
Well, I imagine Sophia knows better then the rest of us what we're dealing with. I'd listen to her. Why are you still here, if you know you're being used against us?
(welcome back)
So Soph, you come up with an insane plan yet.
*Curls her legs around his waist, and hoists herself up, and kisses his neck gently*
*Then slides down, walking away*
I'm still here because anytime I leave I'M DRAGGED BACK.
CAAAAAALLLLLLLLLEEEEEEDDDDDD ITTTTTTTTTTTTT!
(LUUUUUUUUUUUCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!
*sprinkles with icing sugar*
*tacklehugs*)
(Wait, brb.)
((Star: Hey Mushroom! :) *hugs*))
*scoops Adra into his arms and kisses her hair* *carries her away*
(wb)
So Soph. What's the insane plan you've come up with?
Which insane plan? To cure your indoctrination?
That's the one
Hunter: *thought indoctrination couldn't be cured, but okay then*
I'm sorry, Silente, but I'm not going to tell you. Because the moment I tell you, the Reapers will know. And then they will try and stop me.
Seriously. Are you kidding me? So, what, at some point you're going to kidnap me or something to fix me? Not exactly a good sounding plan.
It's the best one we have, Silente.
Hunter, I remembered a report I once read.
Hunter: Plans never sound good, really.
Hunter: *thought he thought that, but okay then*
Soph...I'm sorry, for lieing.
*moves her arm and looks up at Sophia from her position on the floor*
But please...don't leave me out of the loop.
Hunter: I'm sorry, Silente, but she doesn't have much choice.
Hunter: Yay.
I dedicate this page to popcorn machines.
They're great collectables.
Everyone has a choice.
I haven't got a choice, Silente. Anything you see - the Reapers see. If we're talking about plans to survive, then they will know. And they will be able to stop us. Personally, I don't find being harvested and turned into a Reaper that appealing.
Okay. I have two problems here!
One, if you keep me out of the loop, what's to stop these robots getting FURTHER into my head?!
Two I can't get up.
I will stop them getting further into your head. That is, if the plan works.
*helps Silente up*
*leans heavily against Sophia*
Wooooow. Head rush.
*blinks*
Yes. Indoctrination.
*shakes her head and focuses*
Soph....I-I'm scared....
*looks Sophia in the eyes*
We will get your mind free of them, Silente.
What if its already too late? Soph, don't let me hurt anyone. Shoot me before that happens. PROMISE ME you'll shoot me before that happens.
Helllo...
I'll set you on fire if that helps, fire that can't be put out by any regular means.
Hey Chi..
I promise I will shoot you before you hurt anyone. But it won't be too late. Even if they take full control of your mind, it won't be too late. What will be too late is if you lower yourself down on to a spike and get turned into a Husk. Then there is no cure.
Hey Ugly.
I'll keep that in mind.
Hey Chi *Hugs her tightly*
The kids are sleeping, didn't want to wake them...
So... any news on the topic of Silente being infested with a robot zombie?
*glares at Blake*
I'm not a robot zombie.....yet....or hopefully ever.
However...Sophia may have been right. I may have a robot in my brain...
Wait Chi you can bring people back from the dead right?
She is indoctrinated. She admitted she is. And we have a plan to counter it. Which isn't as easy as it sounds.
Hecate can. Goddess of magic and necromancy, duh.
