Just went on a bike ride. And it was one that we started off from our house and then ended up back at our house, and my village is on a massive hill (90 metres above sea level! Well. In year five we did a graph where we marked on (actually, drew on to the correct heigh. I quite enjoyed trying to draw the mountains) lots of mountains, like Mount Everest and Mount Blanc and Mount Snowdon (is that what it's called?), and we drew our village's hill, and it was one TINY LITTLE square on the graph paper and it was just this minute lump next to all these big mountains and AWHHHH, and anyway, I remember it was 90 meters so I marked it as about 100 metres, which is one little square (like, the little little squares). So yeah. :P If memory serves correctly . . .), so whenever you go anywhere you have to come back up the hill, and there's this massive steep road that leads down to the next village, and we went up it on the way back, and I didn't faint yay! :) (I mean, I walked some of it, but I've never done it without walking some of it, so it's good. :P)

Well, I cried once yesterday and twice the day before and once the day before that and three times the day before that, so me crying isn't unusual, but I am crying, and it does hurt, and just because I cry a lot doesn't mean I'm not sad when I cry. :/
@Val: I don't generally use tissues when I cry, actually . . . Often I'm in school as well, and I only carry tissues around with me when I have a cold. :/

Now because we had no children, Loki gets the throne. @Silente: :( Did you have a drink, yet? I know dehydration never sounds kind of immaterial, especially if you don't even feel that thirsty, but, like... a lot of the time dizziness/nausea/faintness/etc will have to do with dehydration, because of blood pressure things. I don't know this exactly, but if you think about how, if there's less water in your body, there's less blood, so your blood pressure would be lower. And it's that hypotension that causes lightheadedness/dizziness/fainting symptoms. So, I'd say get yourself some water, because basically, best case scenario it'll make you feel better, and worst case scenario, it won't. *nods* ^^
@Taia I've had a small drink. I'll be fine. This happens sometimes. In all fairness it probably is dehydration that causes it but I'm never thirsty so I don't drink.
Over the past week, whenever I've cried I've felt a bit sick, and it slightly worried me for a while because obviously I cry all the time and I don't want it to be damaging me or making me feel sick or whatever . . . but I worked out that I was probably just dehydrated, and I cried yesterday and I was fine . . . Yeah. My point is - dehydration. :P It's been quite hot recently. Water is important.

Aaahhhhhh you guys this paper is so NICE. It smells sweet and it's so SMOOTH. And it's brown (because recycledness I guess? idk) which means I don't have to worry about having a bright white background that I'll have to do something with. (Although I don't know how I'll get white where I need it. But then, I can never manage to get white on white paper, either, so... :P) And GAH idek why I haven't used it before but !!!!!
@Silente: Sometimes you don't need to ask. And sometimes you don't need to know. Like with Pavement's 'We Dance' or 'Here', where you're sitting there and you don't have a CLUE what Stephen Malkmus is singing about, you have no idea what any of it means, but it doesn't matter because of the way that it is. Sometimes you can capture a feeling or an idea or an emotion or some wordless concept, and it doesn't matter if you don't know the exact moment or stimulus, because the thing that you captured is whole enough already, to convey what matters in it. I can be, if I wish; at least, I prefer to think so. Most of the time my line of work doesn't involve violence, but violence between two parties isn't the only dangerous thing in the world. Ergo, *Gestures to her uniform* This.
Also, I'm not sure how much I believe in finding out what songs are about. You should be able to get there on your own, y'know? And songs mean all kinds of things to different people. "Art is not what you see, but what you make others see." HOWEVER, I disagree with that quote. Well, I don't disagree with it. But I don't listen to it, because I do art for me to make me happy, so everyone else and what they see can go screw themselves in my opinion. :)
(Plus, people who just do whatever the hell they want and don't listen to what society says they want tend to be awesome. Like Avenged Sevenfold, who get really enthusiastic going in lots of different directions, like when they made Lost. And they were like, we wanted to put some autotuning in, because no one really brings that poppy element into metal music so we wanted to try it out. So they got this equipment and they were all like O_O and got quite excited messing with it. "We may have gotten a little . . . festive with the autotuning." And then they kind of liked it and were kind of happy with it, and they were like "Everyone'll probably hate it, but oh well." (For the record, people do hate it. No one has any respect for autotuning. :P)
But my point is, they just do what they want, and they're amazing. So I reckon if, as far as word art goes, I just do what I want and go off into different directions and try new things and enjoy what I'm doing, then I'll do fine. :P And if I don't do fine, it doesn't matter, because I'm only really doing it for enjoyment anyway and I'm enjoying doing it. :)
@star the funny thing is I have no idea what the song is about. I just wrote it. So people ask me and I'm just like 'er.....' And they stare at me. One of the English teachers in my school started analysing it and I nearly laughed at her because she was streaming if deep meanings and what not and I have literally no meaning for it.
@Star: Well, art is individual. So sometimes art is about what you see, sometimes it's about what others see, sometimes it's about what it means to the artist, sometimes it's about what it means to the person viewing it. Maybe there are, like, several layers to art. Where you have the layer where it IS about what you see, and a layer where it's about what you make others see. And things. Because none of them are necessarily true or untrue, they just fit differently depending on perspective or standpoint. *nods uncertainly* :)
@Silente: Well, like Taia said - sometimes, things don't need to make sense. When I tell people I'm writing a story, they ask me what it's about, and I tell them I don't know. Because I don't actually know. :P C's the same. People ask her what her story (which is three books long :O)'s about, and she goes "Um, a girl" and they ask "What does the girl do?" and she's like "Um, I don't really know." :P Sometimes, it isn't about what things are about. It's more about what it . . . . . . no words. :P But if it exists, and it's awesome, and you gain . . . something . . . from it, then - yeah. :)
Lol. Have you seen things that say things like: "What the book says: The curtains were blue. What your English teacher says it means: The blue curtains are reflective of the character's inner depression. What the author actually mean: THE CURTAINS WERE FUCKING BLUE."

But that's why I generally have no respect for it.)
@Matex: Yeah - people generally just use it to cheat because they can't be bothered to actually make music, I think. :P Avenged Sevenfold, who are absolutely amazing and make a wide variety of music and also self-produce, just used it in one song because they thought it would be cool to experiment with it a bit. :P It's quite severe autotuning - they were like "Increase it so you can hear all the individual notes in it." "And I kno-o-ow That most of us just ain't right" Yeah - you can hear all the notes being separated in the 'know'. :) So, like - I guess they're not using it to cheat because they can't be bothered, they're just using it to experiment, so - yeah. :P
Don't be too harsh on English teachers haha! They can go overboard sometimes but a lot of students do misunderstand. The point is usually not to guess what the author's intentions were, but to get an insight into how they think based on what they did. And really good authors DO put complex symbols in to help shape the story (hence Chekhov's gun).
And yeah Avenged are fantastic, much love :) But I don't mind that haha, that's a style in itself, using autotune like that. It can be interesting. I just think autotuned radio pop is really bland (usually) XD

Anthropology is the study of human kind and cultures, ways of life- specifically ancient ones, though I do find a great interest in modern cultures as well. The temporal part means that I'm assigned a case or person to study, and then I travel in time to study first hand the life of those whom I study.

It's a bit like relating to somebody else's words, because you don't know what the originally intended meaning was. (Well, they might, but that would screw up their actions in the story, so I wouldn't let them, and they're not influencing how I write them off the blog. They're only irritating like that when I'm roleplaying them, because you can talk in the sidelines then.) They would just wear what they would wear in that scene. O_O

Take my wings, for example, or my right remaining lives. I have a few more things up my sleeve, though. But no magic that I can use.

@Star: As an artistic device, I have no problem with autotune. If you like how it sounds, well, that's the point, isn't it? I can understand why people get annoyed about autotune. In a sense that there are a lot of great artists who sounds great without it, and it feels like credit is being put to the wrong people, kind of? But I guess it's like... You can draw digitally with a graphics tablet, or traditionally on paper. And Maybe people say that digital art is easier because you can undo and layers and such. And people who are able to do it without those features on a computer are better? But just because different tools and techniques have been used doesn't make them more/less valuable. Just makes them different. At the end of the day, if you like how the drawing looks/feels, then why does it matter, kind of? That's how I feel about autotune. *nods*

(completely different from young adult fiction, which is why most people find it confusing and think authors would just make the curtains blue or the uniform grey for no reason),
and the more you study it the more you realize that yeah, the authors did intend that :/

I'm surrounded by tons of YouTubians who are very anti-pop and anti-autotune, though, so I guess I've been influenced by them into being anti-autotune. :P (Seriously, one person was saying "You NEVER skip an Avenged Sevenfold song" and someone replied "Well, apart from Lost." They hate autotuning and pop that much. :P) So considering my surrounding society, I think I'm doing quite well as far as acceptance goes here. :P
Star - I don't like recent pop music and basically every popular person uses autotune. It's just stupid. They have no talent. All it is singing is machinery and all that is behind their success is just marketing. All people like that are interested in is money.

In year five we did a graph where we marked on (actually, drew on to the correct heigh. I quite enjoyed trying to draw the mountains) lots of mountains, like Mount Everest and Mount Blanc and Mount Snowdon (is that what it's called?), and we drew our village's hill, and it was one TINY LITTLE square on the graph paper and it was just this minute lump next to all these big mountains and AWHHHH, and anyway, I remember it was 90 meters so I marked it as about 100 metres, which is one little square (like, the little little squares).
So yeah. :P If memory serves correctly . . .), so whenever you go anywhere you have to come back up the hill, and there's this massive steep road that leads down to the next village, and we went up it on the way back, and I didn't faint yay! :)
(I mean, I walked some of it, but I've never done it without walking some of it, so it's good. :P)

Now because we had no children, Loki gets the throne. He and I had tried to take over Midguard once before, and then he becomes king of Asgard, so I ask him if we should rule together as we both were close to on Midguard, so he turns and has that evil smile and simply says: Zanida Laufeydottir, Queen of Asgard

I know dehydration never sounds kind of immaterial, especially if you don't even feel that thirsty, but, like... a lot of the time dizziness/nausea/faintness/etc will have to do with dehydration, because of blood pressure things.
I don't know this exactly, but if you think about how, if there's less water in your body, there's less blood, so your blood pressure would be lower. And it's that hypotension that causes lightheadedness/dizziness/fainting symptoms.
So, I'd say get yourself some water, because basically, best case scenario it'll make you feel better, and worst case scenario, it won't. *nods* ^^

@Taia I've had a small drink. I'll be fine. This happens sometimes. In all fairness it probably is dehydration that causes it but I'm never thirsty so I don't drink.
Over the past week, whenever I've cried I've felt a bit sick, and it slightly worried me for a while because obviously I cry all the time and I don't want it to be damaging me or making me feel sick or whatever . . . but I worked out that I was probably just dehydrated, and I cried yesterday and I was fine . . .
Yeah. My point is - dehydration. :P It's been quite hot recently. Water is important.

And they were like, we wanted to put some autotuning in, because no one really brings that poppy element into metal music so we wanted to try it out. So they got this equipment and they were all like O_O and got quite excited messing with it.

And then they kind of liked it and were kind of happy with it, and they were like "Everyone'll probably hate it, but oh well."
(For the record, people do hate it. No one has any respect for autotuning. :P)
But my point is, they just do what they want, and they're amazing.
So I reckon if, as far as word art goes, I just do what I want and go off into different directions and try new things and enjoy what I'm doing, then I'll do fine. :P
And if I don't do fine, it doesn't matter, because I'm only really doing it for enjoyment anyway and I'm enjoying doing it. :)
@star the funny thing is I have no idea what the song is about. I just wrote it. So people ask me and I'm just like 'er.....' And they stare at me. Maybe there are, like, several layers to art. Where you have the layer where it IS about what you see, and a layer where it's about what you make others see. And things.
Because none of them are necessarily true or untrue, they just fit differently depending on perspective or standpoint.

Don't be too harsh on English teachers haha! They can go overboard sometimes but a lot of students do misunderstand. The point is usually not to guess what the author's intentions were, but to get an insight into how they think based on what they did. And really good authors DO put complex symbols in to help shape the story (hence Chekhov's gun).
And yeah Avenged are fantastic, much love :) But I don't mind that haha, that's a style in itself, using autotune like that. It can be interesting. I just think autotuned radio pop is really bland (usually) XD

Anthropology is the study of human kind and cultures, ways of life- specifically ancient ones, though I do find a great interest in modern cultures as well.
The temporal part means that I'm assigned a case or person to study, and then I travel in time to study first hand the life of those whom I study.

@Silente: I've written like that, poetry-wise. Sometimes you have to find meanings afterwards. Or, you don't have to, but you can. It's a bit like relating to somebody else's words, because you don't know what the originally intended meaning was. Which is quite good because if you do get a meaning, that meaning is susceptible to change more so than if you had something you were trying to capture from the beginning. *nods*

I can understand that maybe it DOES convey something, but I don't think that was intentional, y'know?

(Well, they might, but that would screw up their actions in the story, so I wouldn't let them, and they're not influencing how I write them off the blog. They're only irritating like that when I'm roleplaying them, because you can talk in the sidelines then.)
They would just wear what they would wear in that scene. O_O

@Star: As an artistic device, I have no problem with autotune. If you like how it sounds, well, that's the point, isn't it? I can understand why people get annoyed about autotune. In a sense that there are a lot of great artists who sounds great without it, and it feels like credit is being put to the wrong people, kind of? But I guess it's like... You can draw digitally with a graphics tablet, or traditionally on paper. And Maybe people say that digital art is easier because you can undo and layers and such. And people who are able to do it without those features on a computer are better?
But just because different tools and techniques have been used doesn't make them more/less valuable. Just makes them different.
At the end of the day, if you like how the drawing looks/feels, then why does it matter, kind of?

@Star, sorry, by Author I didn't mean people like us writing character's on the blog haha, I'm talking about author's of literature :) Of course, it's totally different here
But literature is a meticulously constructed art
(completely different from young adult fiction, which is why most people find it confusing and think authors would just make the curtains blue or the uniform grey for no reason),
and the more you study it the more you realize that yeah, the authors did intend that :/

I'm surrounded by tons of YouTubians who are very anti-pop and anti-autotune, though, so I guess I've been influenced by them into being anti-autotune. :P
(Seriously, one person was saying "You NEVER skip an Avenged Sevenfold song" and someone replied "Well, apart from Lost."
They hate autotuning and pop that much. :P)
So considering my surrounding society, I think I'm doing quite well as far as acceptance goes here. :P

Star - I don't like recent pop music and basically every popular person uses autotune. It's just stupid. They have no talent. All it is singing is machinery and all that is behind their success is just marketing. All people like that are interested in is money.
