And she was like, but I am a sadist! *facepalm* And then she was like, that's probably why I like watching Saw so much, because it's just people suffering, and you know, her and B often talk about films where people suffer and then they go IT'S SO HILARIOUS and they're just laughing their heads off and the rest of us are just sat there like . . . okay . . . :P

Well, my friend, one of the people I get along really well with because we understand each other really well and we have the best conversations ever and sometimes I just can't really comprehend how awesome she is . . . she's apparently a sadist. *nods* I'm wondering what that says about me. :P
Star, the only reasons I haven't been DONE with this wedding arc already, are these:
1 - The Chemist needs a token from Sir Reingington in order to finish the curse.
2 - I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THE WEDDING.
This has been bothering me. Because I intended to have actual Bloglanders there, but then I would have to set a date, and figure out how to make all the things I need to happen there happen while I have all these little variables running around, and it's be QUITE ABSURD.
Um well um You could just set a date and hope people turn up? I mean, don't try and go to masses of masses-ness, just tell people it's on and presumably they'll make an effort. * . . . nods?*
Alastair will find out. *nods* Remember he's being roleplayed by Ari (although it's hard to remember. XD)

That's an interesting point, Star. *bites lip* *thinking* That may be the best thing I can do. Set a date, and whoever wants to come, can come. After all, the story with proceed relatively uninhibited by Bloglandian guests . . . there's nothing they can do to stop the curse . . . and the pain . . . and the revelation of the identity of the Chemist . . . But, anyway, that may be best. Just write it out. If people come, they can come. If not, they can read it on Superfluous afterwards. And maybe once I'm done the wedding, I can do more stand-alone works, rather than long, over-arching stories. I like that idea. I believe I'll use it.

Star came to conscious slowly, so slowly she was thinking about things before she actually realised she was conscious. Then she suddenly thought - hey, I'm conscious, and that was it, she was conscious. She had been thinking about how she hurt, and vaguely wondering why that was, but once she realised she was conscious, she opened her cardboard boxes full of conscious thoughts and right on top were her most recent memories. Star immediately attempted to close the box again. She didn't want to revisit it. She was glad she'd stopped mostly hurting, though. It was very nice. Light, free. She thought it might be worth hurting just to stop hurting at the end, but immediately crumpled that thought up and chucked it far away from her precious cardboard boxes. It was far too stupid. Apparently, the folder of recent memories was too thick a wodge of paper to merely crumple up and throw away, however, so Star just closed her eyes - oh, wait, she didn't need to, they were already closed - DAMN, that was stupid, you should OPEN your eyes. Star opened her eyes and watched a roof of rock appear in her vision. Okay. Hello, rock. Where was she? Star thought back - no, she didn't. Don't think back. She didn't remember anything, anyway. Star sat up. Pain crackled down pretty much every part of her body, but compared to yesterday - No. Don't think about yesterday. In front of Star was a forest. The Blogland forest? Possibly. Forests all seemed to look the same, though. I mean, trees, more trees, sky, tree, ground, trees, trees. The trees could differ, but you still repeatedly found the same types of trees in all parts of the world. Star moved her head around, looking this way and that, and saw someone, lying on the ground. Aretha. Star's eyes widened, and she wondered for an absurd moment if she was a hallucination. Then she realised it wasn't so absurd. Star studied Aretha carefully, but she appeared to be sleeping. She wasn't dead, was she? Hallucinating dead bodies was something people hallucinated, wasn't it? Star tentatively reached over and put her hand on Aretha's forehead. It was warm. Not dead. Then why . . . ? Star reluctantly thought back, and remembered Alastair saying he'd done something with her. Apparently he liked to take bodies he'd near-killed to the same place. Star leant over. "Aretha," she whispered. Ari didn't respond. Star looked at Ari with trepidation. She'd never been much good at waking people up. "Aretha," she whispered louder, before realising - why was she whispering? "Ari," she said, but her voice sounded awfully loud in the silence. Star awkwardly tried to shake Aretha, but she didn't wake up. Cup of cold water on her face. From where? Star shrugged and lay back down, attempting to go to sleep. But her memories swirled around in her brain, tugging her into them whenever she tried to disappear into said brain, and it - well, it was hardly nice. Star sighed and stood up, walking around Ari in a circle, trying to think of something to think about. Everything seemed too distant, clouded over by the memories. Star debated just walking off, but she'd only get lost, and besides, Ari was here. She sat down and played with a stick, debating what to do.
When did he take Ari? God damn it. He's getting too good at this. *starts pacing back and forth* We need a way to stop him *turns and paces* Or to at least weaken him. To bind his powers. But how. I can't get near him. The idiot is just trying to break me by using them. But how to break him..

That may be the best thing I can do. Set a date, and whoever wants to come, can come. After all, the story with proceed relatively uninhibited by Bloglandian guests . . . there's nothing they can do to stop the curse . . . and the pain . . . and the revelation of the identity of the Chemist . . .
But, anyway, that may be best. Just write it out. If people come, they can come. If not, they can read it on Superfluous afterwards.
And maybe once I'm done the wedding, I can do more stand-alone works, rather than long, over-arching stories.
I like that idea.
I believe I'll use it.

Star came to conscious slowly, so slowly she was thinking about things before she actually realised she was conscious. Then she suddenly thought - hey, I'm conscious, and that was it, she was conscious.
ReplyDeleteShe had been thinking about how she hurt, and vaguely wondering why that was, but once she realised she was conscious, she opened her cardboard boxes full of conscious thoughts and right on top were her most recent memories.
Star immediately attempted to close the box again.
She didn't want to revisit it.
She was glad she'd stopped mostly hurting, though. It was very nice. Light, free. She thought it might be worth hurting just to stop hurting at the end, but immediately crumpled that thought up and chucked it far away from her precious cardboard boxes. It was far too stupid.
Apparently, the folder of recent memories was too thick a wodge of paper to merely crumple up and throw away, however, so Star just closed her eyes - oh, wait, she didn't need to, they were already closed - DAMN, that was stupid, you should OPEN your eyes.
Star opened her eyes and watched a roof of rock appear in her vision.
Okay.
Hello, rock.
Where was she?
Star thought back - no, she didn't. Don't think back.
She didn't remember anything, anyway.
Star sat up. Pain crackled down pretty much every part of her body, but compared to yesterday -
No. Don't think about yesterday.
In front of Star was a forest. The Blogland forest? Possibly. Forests all seemed to look the same, though. I mean, trees, more trees, sky, tree, ground, trees, trees.
The trees could differ, but you still repeatedly found the same types of trees in all parts of the world.
Star moved her head around, looking this way and that, and saw someone, lying on the ground. Aretha.
Star's eyes widened, and she wondered for an absurd moment if she was a hallucination. Then she realised it wasn't so absurd.
Star studied Aretha carefully, but she appeared to be sleeping.
She wasn't dead, was she?
Hallucinating dead bodies was something people hallucinated, wasn't it?
Star tentatively reached over and put her hand on Aretha's forehead. It was warm.
Not dead.
Then why . . . ?
Star reluctantly thought back, and remembered Alastair saying he'd done something with her.
Apparently he liked to take bodies he'd near-killed to the same place.
Star leant over. "Aretha," she whispered.
Ari didn't respond.
Star looked at Ari with trepidation. She'd never been much good at waking people up.
"Aretha," she whispered louder, before realising - why was she whispering?
"Ari," she said, but her voice sounded awfully loud in the silence.
Star awkwardly tried to shake Aretha, but she didn't wake up.
Cup of cold water on her face.
From where?
Star shrugged and lay back down, attempting to go to sleep. But her memories swirled around in her brain, tugging her into them whenever she tried to disappear into said brain, and it - well, it was hardly nice.
Star sighed and stood up, walking around Ari in a circle, trying to think of something to think about.
Everything seemed too distant, clouded over by the memories.
Star debated just walking off, but she'd only get lost, and besides, Ari was here.
She sat down and played with a stick, debating what to do.

Well technically I was making an image of a blackcurrant from the Ribena adverts with dragon wings to make it look like the stupid dragons from How To Train Your Dragon to make a point, but yeah that's poofing.
