((Why thank you Taia. Its in my tree. I have a tree.))

Sadistic updates of the day: My friend C informs me that emotional torment is more entertaining than physical torment. :P I pointed out to her about how she always cried whilst her writing because it made her so sad (she does that a lot) and how she didn't find that funny, and she tilted her head to the side and looked thoughtful and said that that was distant, and that it depended on the pain, and that it was more masochism, in a way, and I knew that masochism and sadism were related because I am a knowledgeable bubble like that so I said fairy nuff. :P
*jumps out of the tree again* *runs to a furniture store* *comes back with a rug* *and floor varnish* *and some bean bags* *and some pictures from her past* *and light blue paint* *and candle holders* *and incents* *and incent holders* *and a but load of candles* *and some draws too*
*finishes her painting* *varnishes the floor* *waits for it to dry* *puts the rug over the trap door* *puts the bean bag in on corner* *puts the draws against the wall next to them* *puts incents and candles in the draw* *starts hanging the candle holders from the roof* *puts the incent holder on he draw* *lights some candles and an incent*
*frowns at German* I have checked no boxes in the "nicht im Text" collumn. UGH. IT'S NOT EVEN A TEXT - IT'S A RECORDING. *throws a piece of pencil sharpening aggressively* *but not dangerously, because, y'know, it's a piece of pencil shaving*
*smiles at her room* *wonders what to do about heat and entertainment* *runs off* *comes back with covers and a book case* *piles the covers in a corner* *puts the bookcases down* *runs off again* *comes back with a gigantic pile of books* *starts sorting them onto shelves*
C said she had a dream. And in it, she said we were all at school, and then at the end of lunch she went to her music lesson, but we all decided not to go to our lessons so we were just standing outside Riding toilets, because we're normal like that. Anyway, she went to her music lesson, and there were these policemen outside, and they came up to her and they told her she'd murdered someone, and she was like "What? No!" and they were like "You did. You murderer Mr Johnson ((that's her and B's IT teacher))." And she was like "I didn't!" and they were like "Yes, you did" and they arrested her, like put handcuffs around her and stuff, and they said she could go and see her friends before she went to jail. So she went to Riding toilets to see us, and apparently I was like "I told you all something like this would happen! Of course she murdered someone, she's a sadist!" and B was like "Yay, you murdered the right person! It's still kind of disgusting, though . . ." and F was like "I would never have expected it of you, C" and C was like "I WOULD NEVER HAVE EXPECTED IT OF ME EITHER!" and D was like "You weren't allowed to do this! I didn't give you permission to do this, C!" And yeah. XD Quite interesting really.
*finally finishes sorting the books* *wonders if she has too many* *shrugs* *gets her bag of stuff hidden around the clearing* *sorts them into draws* *jumps out closing the door and roof behind her* *locks them* Anyway hey guys! How are you all?
I feel bad for my friend, she begged me to ask Derek to Skype for her birthday and he said no. I asked! I was even nice and no dynamite was involved....I just feel bad. She rarely gets anything and honestly the book i got her that i was hoping to get signed means so much to her. Like, I just feel bad...I mean she begged. I know I'm getting her Dark Days signed now July but hey...I know she deserves it. Bah! Human emotions.
Msd i dont remember when the period ends on a delay schedule.
@Star: Yeah. :P What's annoying is that they're not even consistent. Question three was HARD, and I don't trust any of the answers I've put. And then I could've GUESSED the answers to question four, it was so easy. *shakes head* I'd like it to either be easy or hard, y'know? Like, 'Stop changing your mind already! D:' :P
I'm alright, thanks Silente. Just doing school-y things. I've been procrastinating work for a few weeks, and now it's aaaalllll coming back to me at once. :P How're you?
@Star: Yeah. So I heard, at least. He attacked a teacher. ANd had a knife on him. o0
(... My school is not always like that, I swear! :P)
We spend ALL of our German lessons doing either practice listening or practice writing tests, now, because there's nothing else left. So I just end up sitting leaning against the wall with my feet on my friend's chair and glowering. :P
@Zaf: Hey, you tried, right? It's not your fault. ANd probably not Derek's either, really. He's a guy. A human guy. There are things he has to do and time he has to spend, just as much as the rest of us, right? If you're getting a book signed for her, that's great, anyhow. :)
@Taia: If the question is the English, answer in English. If it's in German, answer in German. That's what I was told . . . :P
And - woah. O_O O_O O_O O_O
@Zaf: You've seen Derek's recent blog posts, right-left-diagonal-up-down-curvy-circular-multipledirections-invisibledirections-nonexistantdirections? He's - woah - he's mega busy. O_O It is a bit . . . well, sad, though, I guess. D: D: Poor your friend . . .
He was a new student, I think, only a few weeks here. Again, so I hear. I was in art, at the time, cutting out all of the pictures from ten contact sheets and trying not to hate my art teacher for it. :P
ALso- Does it still count as healthy if you coat the grapes with Nutella first..?
Alright. I kind of gave up on the German, but it's only the last couple of points on the last question that I couldn't work out, sooo... :P I'm doing physics now. Which is nicer, because it's more about theory and figuring, and if you don't know, you can work it out using various other knowledges, because it's all kind of linked. :) Physics is scary and difficult, but it's also nice. *nods* Thanks for asking. :) How about you? Anything up? Or down? Or sideways?
I apologise for this, but I would like to dedicate one of my undedicated pages to the music genre of metal. I could go IT'S THE BEST MUSIC GENRE EVER ASDFGHJKL, but I don't think I've listened to all the music genres in the world, and anyway, my brain is biased to the type of music it likes hearing so it wouldn't be wholly fair. However - you know - it's fantastic. There are many things I like about metal. I think the primary reason I am attached to that music genre and not, like, idk, another one is because, you know, fullness of sound. Metal has all these LAYERS to it. It's beautiful. And when I listen to other music . . . it depends on the genre but it often sounds somehow empty, in a way. There's just a lack of . . . thickness. And that's probably the main reason why I like metal and rock and so on (well, just metal and rock, really :P), because I like the way it sounds like that. But I also like the music I listen to for many other things, which tend to be more band-specific than genre-specific. And there's things like meaningful lyrics and atmosphericness and emotionalness (someone once said in a YouTube comment that metal was 100% emotion) and portrayal of things and stuff. My dad just came in and disrupted my flow of thought, so um . . . :P Anyway. The metal genre is quite varied. I imagine all genres are quite varied. People tend to have stereotypes about things, but there's actually a lot more to things that the stereotypes suggest and things overlap and stuff, too. The stereotypes about pop that metalhead YouTubers have tend to be 'autotuning', 'no meaning to lyrics', 'not played by real instruments', and 'just a few lines repeated over and over'. Some pop music actually fits those stereotypes, but a lot doesn't. For example, Little Mix. Little Mix's music has real singing on it, the lyrics and beautiful and really speak to say something, and although admittedly none of them play instruments on their songs (to my knowledge), that doesn't stop it being good music any more than music without singing isn't proper music (my sister says that instrumental songs aren't really songs and this girl in maths says Slipknot isn't proper music because they don't sing (they do actually sing every now and then, but that is beside the point). It's just a cultural kind of . . . thing. And um, what I was meaning to say was - people have stupid stereotypes about pop music that are sometimes correct, but pop music can be so much more than that. People also have stupid stereotypes about metal that are sometimes correct, but metal can be so much more than that. And I imagine it's the same for every genre.
Okay, then, wipe your stereotypes out of your mind. I am going to describe metal to you in seven words, because I like the number seven, and it is - - layered - emotive - meaningful - (occasionally) violent (thinking of Slipknot here) - beautiful - detailed - dark
Anyway. Yes. And here's a little speech with embedded links, that I was going to weave into my speech like a pro but didn't really see how to do that, so . . . just, um, follow a link or two you like the sound of?
You can have hard metal ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voyDE01Wzc4&index=38&list=PLTslNdjmKxFvz82_82YflzFzAn1Nltzi7 ), and okay, maybe that isn't that great, but you can also have softer metal ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXkVWyX5F4Q&index=77&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ). You can have religious metal ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Si5JIEYhRyo&index=52&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ) and metal that totally isn't religious ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2KJEe7iUOg&list=PLTslNdjmKxFua4FbUx4kJj2raLGzZhlvi ). XD You can have metal that definitely needs a parental advisory label, if not ten or so ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YJI1POCgPk&index=34&list=PLTslNdjmKxFvz82_82YflzFzAn1Nltzi7 ), but you have ones that don't, and how am I meant to find a link for that? You can have metal that tells a story ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6Wxbsqkvgo&index=35&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ), you can have metal that portrays a specific emotion ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdFs_7vl1wA&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av&index=49 ), you can have metal that is designed to invigorate (is that the correct word?) people ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ra0DxNFd4Qg&index=40&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av ), you can have metal that complains about issues with . . . well, the government ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpDO-3RkMcc&index=38&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ), the police ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EfgtXNL3_k&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtwrh448squGXmy5Q7nXRyQ&index=19 ), domestic violence ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7YENxC09Vs&index=51&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av ), humankind in general ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIxN2M3iUjE&index=56&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av ), or just nameless, controlling, selfish bastards ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plR1cVLHBPY&index=46&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av ).
Nah. I probably have homework but then again it'll get finished at some point. I'm wondering when the cats gonna pop. She's so fat! She can't get much fatter. But otherwise I'm just sat here wondering if others are gonna be popping up anytime soon..
You can have beautiful metal ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-olQoG_S2eE&index=82&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ), sad metal ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeatHSvqm84&index=44&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ), scary metal ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coEnNYwIq_A&index=19&list=PLTslNdjmKxFvz82_82YflzFzAn1Nltzi7 ), lots of metal with meaningful lyrics (not even going to link to that - too much choice). You can have metal that talks about uniting ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xP12LW0gQZs&index=31&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av ) and metal that talks about dividing ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qc2mssG0iPw&index=50&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av ). Metal about soldiers ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIdCdO5mWLQ&index=37&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ), metal about how they don't actually need soldiers to get to us ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssQcnHE5CE8&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtwrh448squGXmy5Q7nXRyQ&index=17 ) . . . You have metal that is instrumental ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUIkTwyDWE8&index=52&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av ) and metal that isn't (most of it.)
You have metal for anger ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YvnJu7z8Xc&index=15&list=PLTslNdjmKxFvz82_82YflzFzAn1Nltzi7 ), pain ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmFIXfyvgPQ&index=38&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av ), despair ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0Dlj5Zwbns&index=59&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av ), something so despairing you've become numb, or wish you had ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv4oJyd_Sts&index=37&list=PLTslNdjmKxFvz82_82YflzFzAn1Nltzi7 ), a horrible feeling beyond all of that which will lead to your eventual death ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9G_OW_B2r_0&index=53&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av ), insanity ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zagSV7fToc&index=14&list=PLTslNdjmKxFvz82_82YflzFzAn1Nltzi7 ) ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIzqrqmJENU&index=44&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av ), romantic love ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfCDBzgrM6k&index=47&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ), platonic love ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lx-ecBNI43Q&index=65&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ), sadistic love ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVjF-oe84Mw&index=46&list=PLTslNdjmKxFvz82_82YflzFzAn1Nltzi7 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIA7dP4CjLk&index=47&list=PLTslNdjmKxFvz82_82YflzFzAn1Nltzi7 ), sadness ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXkVWyX5F4Q&index=77&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ), depression ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyJJA2Hm6sM&index=23&list=PLTslNdjmKxFvz82_82YflzFzAn1Nltzi7 ), the feeling of being overwhelmed by work and you don't have a life anymore ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxwrj5YaaMY&index=66&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ), the feeling of being trapped in this life and you can't ever get out and life how you would do ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imwmmv9r1oE&index=75&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ), the feeling that your life is a lie ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oz1azdvJRKg&index=42&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtyDjXNSMNesm8F-RgBg0Av), the feeling that you don't want to live your life anymore ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZ3KlvKlhI8&index=23&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ), the feeling that your life will soon end and you want to go out happily ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeatHSvqm84&index=44&list=PLTslNdjmKxFtDwh1k3FIRyXuARLNTj9fJ ) and . . . well, not much in the way of happiness, haha, but we have relaxation, even if it does have a darker message to it ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVHehFlgPB4&index=39&list=PLTslNdjmKxFvz82_82YflzFzAn1Nltzi7 ).
Most of all, and this is the most important point . . . you have loads of metal that I haven't mentioned, even more metal that I haven't even heard of, and you know . . . there's an entire world out there. The scary thing is, there's one for every music genre. :P There's so many worlds, and we only have one life and one brain, you know? And you can't be into all music ever invented. It's not possible. And I'm into metal, and someone else may be into something else, and the thing is, our music'll probably be worth equal amounts, yeah? But you don't have enough time in your life to be into all of it, so you may as well admit that whether or not people like the music you like, it probably doesn't matter, and in the light of that, this comment is suddenly looking rather pointless, so um - *sits there whistling innocently*
And yeah, I often tend to slip into this focused realm with artwork . . . it's like drifting off in lessons in a way, except you drift off TO something. :P
Well when you drift off in lessons you drift into SOMETHING just not something that includes moving much...or, you know, doing stuff that makes sense or is help full...
@Silente: *nods* When I rant, I often drift off into ranting-thinking mode, and then I realise how most of what I said was irrelevant afterwards . . . XD
I do that only not typing...I can't type quick enough to type-rant. But when I'm speak-ranting I stop afterwards d just kind of look confuse for ages...then start ranting again...
And - *laughs* XD His eyes automatically change colour according to his emotion, although he can also change them at will. It serves pretty much no purpose, but he thought it would be cool, so. XD
((The lightness and darkness of his eyes represents the lightness and darkness of his mood. If his eyes are black, that's a very dark mood . . . Blue is serious, focused, anything along those lines. Green is joking, lack of seriousness. Orange is enthusiastic, excited. Red is angry. Gold is happy. Grey is blank - shocked, hiding his feelings, numb, anything. Purple is a mixture of colours, including pleading and curious and a few other things. It's a curious colour, purple, which is due to the fact it's a curious colour. XD))
((He's had his eyes like that for a long time, now. They were like that when Ez first met him, and like - yeah. O_O He lived for quite a few decades BEFORE she met him, but. :P))
@Star: I agree. And maybe I don’t have that much experience in metal, but I do know some metal music, and I also know a lot of other music. And I’m not great at genre distinction and whatnot, because I still don’t really get how you can just define an artist or a song or an album by just one label, or category, or group. And how one person might call one thing rock, and another would call it country, and... I remember one time in primary school, we had this thing in our assemblies at some point where each week somebody would be chosen to have a song played in the assembly, and they’d have to have some things to say about that song and its composer (which everybody got shouted at, for talking about the singer or the members of the band, and not the composer. Like, people DO write their own songs sometimes, you know. T.T), and I remember one friend of mine chose Led Zeppelin’s ‘Stairway To Heaven’. And the wrote on the board, where it said ‘genre’, she wrote “Heavy metal.” And I remember one boy, in this assembly hall, said “What? This isn’t heavy metal.” And it was like he rejected it, because he didn’t see it as coming under that label. And some of the other kids turned around, like, “Yeah, it is.” And he said, “It’s not.” And it’s weird how subjective the idea of genres are. And how for some reason people kind of rely on those as markers on how they should feel about a song. Because that’s what other people call it.
And there’s one upload of They Might Be Giants’ ‘We Want A Rock’ on YouTube, and there was a comment below the video where somebody said how he showed this song to his friends, and they they heard the first two seconds and said “It sounds like country music. We don’t listen to country music.” And that was it, and they lost interest and didn’t listen. And maybe they’d have really liked that song, with the metaphors about how everybody wants a rock to wind a piece of string around, and with arson and prosthetic foreheads and all of the weird lyrics that make no sense and some sense at the same time. But they have this, like, stigma against it, and so they just lose interest. And maybe music should be judged on its own merit, rather than what genre it fits into?
And, like... You look at Motion City Soundtrack, and they’ve been classed under ‘Pop-punk’ and ‘punk-rock’ and ‘power-pop’ and ‘emo’ and ‘country’ and ‘pop-rock’ and ‘indie’ and ‘alternative’ and ‘alt-rock’ and ‘rock’ and ‘pop’ and ‘synth-rock’ and so on, and on, and on. And I think Justin Pierre said, once, how that used to bother him. Because he wanted to be like Pavement and Superchunk and the Flaming Lips and Sonic Youth, and he didn’t understand why what they were putting out was classed as “pop-rock”, because that’s not what he wanted it to be. And he says that he realised at some point that maybe it doesn’t matter, because if you think it’s ‘emo’ or ‘punk’ or ‘country’ and you like that, then good for you. Y’know?
And I don’t know what I’m saying, really. You know when you have loads of points to make one thing, and can’t choose one, so you just start working through them, but then kind of forget where you were going TO in the first place? Anyway. Um. TBC
But I think my point is that, maybe it doesn’t matter whether I KNOW that much metal or not, because that doesn’t change what it is, in terms of how good or bad it is. And so if you say it’s amazing music, then it doesn’t matter about those stereotypes and stigma that get put against them, because if you like it then that is GREAT. And anybody who refuses to listen BECAUSE of those stigmas and stereotypes, whether they are accurate in the case or not – that’s them who are missing out. And you said it’s like pop, and like pop, it’s so much more than that, and that’s because it is. And I know that because I’ve HEARD that in what I HAVE listened to, and I see that in what you talk about. And if you can set a speech that amazing to the music that you love, then it must be amazing, too. And I think that it doesn’t just stop at metal, but that doesn’t negate metal one bit. It just empowers all of the other music out there. And all of those different worlds, which interlink in so many different ways. And that’s why I like listening to so much different music. You get all of those worlds, and you get to see where they all collide, and it makes you think, maybe they’re not all that different after all, you know? I don’t know.
To paraphrase, brilliant dedication, and, I agree, and thank you for sharing, and more. :)
@Star: *laughs* I think I always liked physics least until more recently. Maybe it's to do with teachers, idk, I mean, my physics teacher is amazing. But, idk. I find the work more engaging. Biology is so much remembering names and functions and not actually figuring anything OUT. I think I find biology hardest, now. I guess that chemistry is in between the two, but, and this really might just be my teacher, but it's so repetitive, and I just ugh in our classes. In psyics... idk. It's hard. It's so hard. The exams are terrifying, and my teacher is terrifying, but he's also a good teacher, and he puts you in your place and you end up doing so much learning at a breakneck pace with hardly any time to breathe just to get through the course, that if you get lost you're pretty much doomed, but it's great. idk. *shrugs* I always dreaded it, because it's so HARD, but, idk, I like it, too. And I'm getting to not dread it now. Which is REALLY annoying me bc I still don't know which science I'm taking next year and physics wasn't a contributing factor BEFORE and now I'm finding myself kind of WANTING to do it, and, eek! :P
Speed typing definitely DOES come with Bloglanding. And then typoing does, too, I thin. xD
*physics *so that if you *thinK *facepalms* *not even going through the two-comment response for typos. Partially for fear of how many. And partially because I don't want to go back now and realise that none it actually mentioned any of the direct/relevant things that I meant, too. :P *
*apologises for diatribe* (I didn't scare anybody off, did I? I can't help notice the sudden quiet. ._.)
Thank you. *nods* Yeah. I mean, I would probably say I like music in the rock/metal spectrum, because, like, yeah. But that doesn't automatically mean I like all the music in that spectrum or that I don't like other music out of that spectrum. But the reason I would say I like music in that spectrum is because it tends to have that fullness of sound which I like, and you can go around saying whatever you want about beautiful meaningful lyrics but at the end of the day, I listen to music in order to listen to it, so deluding myself is pointless. :P You know, Avenged Sevenfold . . . it says on their wiki pages that they have been criticised for being not metal enough. And their vocalist apparently says to that that they make music to make good music, not so they can be classified as a metal band. And, you know . . . genres are kind of irrelevant when you really look into them, but they can be good as vague indicators. Like . . . just because the speed limit says 70 doesn't mean all the cars will be driving at 70 miles an hour, but it's an indicator of the speed the road should be moving at. It's all the subgenres that screw things up. Nu metal, thrash metal, alternative metal, metalcore, death metal, glam metal, doom metal, gothic metal, Christian metal, extreme metal, post-metal, neo-classical metal, symphonic metal, groove metal, power metal, progressive metal, rap metal, sludge metal, Viking metal, speed metal, black metal, traditional classic metal, industrial metal, drone metal, avant-garde metal, cello metal, folk metal, funk metal, dark metal, stoner metal . . . I haven't heard of most of these. Got them off the wiki page. :P My point is - it's ridiculous. 73.893 miles per hour? What kind of speed limit is that? :P
That's a lotttttttttt a genres....why do we need genres? Why can't it just be their a bit like (insert name here) and a bit like (insert different nam here)
This is really confusing tongue twister: A bitter biting bittern bit a better biting bittern And the better biting bittern bit the bitter biting bittern back. Said the bitter biting bittern to the better biting bittern “I’m a bitter biting bittern bitten back”
@Star: WOw. Yeah. Speed limits. That's... Okay, fine. :P I don't know. I think I always go by 'listen to what you love', because what else makes sense, really? And if most of it DOES come into a specific spectrum, then, like, fair deuce. And the indicator, that makes sense. *nods* Speed limits is a really great analogy.
But also, like... even your indicator genres cross. Like... Aren't all genres kind of derived from various things, and so maybe the subgenres are like furthering that distinction... idk what I mean. If you take a subgenre, it's a genre which has taken various different parts of another genre/s, and focussed centrally on those? But... idk. The genre of Rock was derived from the 40's/50's Rock'n'Roll genre. It was built off of rock'n'roll. Which was built off of blues and jazz and gospel and country and Western swing. Like... Where does genre end and sub-genre begin? If heavy metal music, according to Wiki, was built on influences of Blues Rock and psychedelic rock, and psychedelic rock is derived from rock, and jazz and and folk rock, and blues rock and whatnot... And those genres were built off of various forms of blues and rock and folk and jazz... But heavy metal, even though it's come off of all of those things, it's not a subgenre, is it? It's like a huge map of everything, because they're all interlinked, y'know? They're all the same, even though they're all different. It's like people. idk. And like people... People share all of these traits in common with other people. Maybe they came from different places and show differently because of all of the OTHER traits inside.. we're all a bit the same, even though we're all totally different. Maybe music is like that, too. idk. I'mnot actually going anywhere with this, just, kinda, contemplating. Sorry. :P
@Star: Yeah. I think that's what I mean. Sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-genres. idk. :P
ANd, like.. What if one metal song DID have an intensely strong beat? Would it not be metal anymore? Would it suddenly become rock? idk. It's so BIG, y'know? It's just... big.
@Taia: O_O Woah. Woah. Yeah. . . . Yeah. I guess it's like words. And they all come from other words. And one minutes they're slang and the next they're a proper word and then before you know it they're formal English. And yeah. And - yeah. O_O
It's astonishing, watching things grow like that. :) :)
And -
yeah.
Yeah.
. . .
I suppose it's like the vehicles on the road changing, so new speed signs get invented, but they're adapted from the old ones. In a way. And - yeah.
Star, if you're interested (and if you have time) there's two images I've posted on my Mass Effect blog - just my attempt to draw some biotic energy in GIMP. There's also a part of the story I don't think you've read yet. ^^
It's real music to the people who listen to it? Some of Justin Pierre's earliest influences were rap musicians. And he still derives from those. It's an art in that kind of kinetic formation of rhythm and sounds, which is kind of what music IS?
There's plenty of music, once you get into, like, noisy shoegazey nonsense, where it's just fuzz and sound and feedback. But if you love it... Maybe to one person it's just noise. But to another it's the greatest music they could hope for, because they feel through it. You know? :)
@Dragona: WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH STOP RIGHT THERE!!! Rap is proper music! Music is pleasurable sound! If people like listening to it, it is music! And why is it not music? Because it doesn't sing? Instrumental songs don't sing either, so they? It's not about being melodic. Music is about a wide variety of things. And you know, they call people 'vocalists' - that doesn't mean 'singers'. That means 'people who use their vocal chords as instruments'.
And it doesn't matter what they choose to do with their vocals. More choose to use them to create melodic sound - singing. Some scream, some growl, some whisper, and some rap. Rapping is music. It isn't just talking. It's talking in a rhythmic fashion. It's talking that adapts itself to the music. It's a musical style. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't music. What is music, anyway, huh? What stops it being music?
(Sorry. I'm a bit touching about things being classified as not music because they don't involve singing. This girl in math said Slipknot weren't proper music because they didn't sing (they do, but it's beside the point) and I was grumpy about it for about a week. XD)
Don't like anything modern - why not? Because it's modern? Isn't that discrimination? What if there was a band who just started this year who did 80's style music? Would you not like them just because they started this year? Isn't that discrimination?
@Star: WOrds. Yeah. Woah. :) *nods* Astonishing. And- :) Thank you for your agreement? I'm not really sure if I made a real point, so much as just buzzed about linkage, but, cool. :P
If you compare most music from like now, to music in the 80s, the music in the 80s had a LOT more emotions in. Also, some of them were legendary - whereas today, none of them really seem to stand out - they kind of all flow together in a single sea of musicalness, whereas the 80s music is like a lake with tidal waves in it, in comparison.
@Dragona: You can use '80's' as a music genre name, though, so - fair enough. :P
@Taia: But it was good buzzing. :) And something that just sounds like a load of mindless buzzing to one person could be the best music ever to another. :P *pokes*
No, if a band would be doing 80s music today - I'd like them. It's not the age that I dislike, it's the kind of music that I dislike.
I kind of segregate 80s music into a category on its own, because that's how I feel about how music has changed. I think that the 80s were the musical golden age - and it's more like the nuclear winter of music now where everyone's died. Compare the music now, and compare the music to the 80s - they're completely different. That's the way I classify things, not by what the music is composed of, but what the music kind of feels like.
@Dragona: I think you may be mostly correct about the rock/pop side of things (mostly), but there are a lot of other modern bands in different genres that are plenty emotional. And that's a good metaphor. :) I do understand what you're saying, like - *nods* My brother says that he can never really tell which artist is which when he listens to Capital because they all sound the same. :P Whilst that may be a bit exaggerated, I can see where he's coming from. (Although if you're offended, please remember what I said about when discussing pop music stereotypes - not all pop music fits that, yeah?)
@Star: Yes. Just, yessing on the whole rap-related comment because waaaaahhhhhh. :P
@Dragona: *nods* Just, like, I think there was some dominant hiphop/rap movement IN the 80's, in, like, idk, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy. Whatever. And quirky alt music, like, idk, They Might Be Giants coming in, Noise rock like Sonic Youth, industrial rock - Nine Inch Nails... A lot of things happened in the 80s. A lot of things happen always. :P but, like.. That rap music could have been influencial TO various rock/pop artists in the 80s. I don't know. Everything is kind of squiggly and confused and circular but not so straightforward. :P But, awesome. What kinds of artists, then, like, any examples?
Zafira's returned. Now to see if the vampire is still here... I'll have to leave again within the half hour, however, and I doubt I'll return until the vampire and Star have left again.
Oi Alastair its Silente NOT the vampire! Get it right!
Also guys if you have the time could you possibly check this out? I hate asking people to do this but I want an honest opinion on them :-) http://tempestspoems.blogspot.co.uk/
I am not some 'plaything'!!! You are an idiot to think I will let you do a thing to me then what you have, *is glaring, the only thing I actually can do*
Javier: Zaf, shh. I'll get you to the Sanctuary. Hayley will know what to do, he poisoned you.
((Not play things, that you *smiles sweetly* okay play then)) *snarls at hunters teleportation* *looks around and captures sight one of the Alastairs* *bounds towards it* *jumps and lands on its chest swapping at his face* *leaves 4 claw marks and 1 less eye*
Cruciatus-Alastair, your opinions are illogical. I suggest you need psychological assistance. Underestimating opponents leads to overconfidence in organics. Overconfidence leads to the defeat of organics. It is a neurological weakness.
((I will warn you that I'll be leaving again any moment now.)) *pushes Javier back into the forest with air* *the Alastair under the vampire smirks, then vanishes* *all the rest of the Alastairs vanish, leaving Zafira and the vampire alone in the clearing*
((Aw man he left the fight...sorry zaf)) *snarls at Alastairs disappearance* *looks around securing for new prey* *spots zaf* *starts bounding towards her*
((Screw you Alastair!)) *pushes against dragon with her back legs* *scents the blood and pushes against him harder sending him to the other side of the clearing* *jumps back on zaf* *claws at her back again and again* *grows stronger at the sight of blood* *snarls*
Alexis: *sends a collum of air to knock Silente off Zaf* *turns on Alastair and sends a knife using the air to make it extremely fast, directed at his heart*
*claws more and more at zaf* *growls and snarls with each swipe* *its dark eyes glimmer with joy* *flips her over and claws her stomach* *swipes at her face leaving 4 ugly gashes*
((Yeah we can, I'd like to return to my senses but I can't do that unless we finish)) *is thrown back by the air* *sees that zaf, too is gone* *turns to Alexis and starts bounding towards her* *jumps up to get a better attack*
*hisses and swipes* *the gun breaks into two seperate pieces* *pushes dragona off once more* *swipes at the robots face, damaging the software* *leaps at Alexis*
*Balls of silver hit Silente's claws and harden around them, trapping her hands. Another ball shoots towards her chest, knocking her back off Alexis. Lorcan runs up beside Alexis, checking her over.*
*Lorcan keeps firing silver balls at her claws, having it harden and layer before he jumps and lands on her chest. All his silver and anger bearing down on the vampire*
Lorcan: Silente!!! Come to your senses or else I will encase you in silver and leave you for a statue!
*breaks the silver covering her chest and arms* *shakes and shudders* *shudders and snakes* *human skin begins to reform* *the beast snarls its displeasure* *the girls images returns soon followed by her clouded mind* *memories of what happen break through the fog* *her eyes widen in fear and the girl starts to sob* No zaf..I..I couldn't have..I mean I didn't...I mean *lunges to her feet and runs through the ice* *flees into the forest her memories hot on her heels* *tears through the woods not looking where she's going just trying to out run reality*
Star (if you're still here), there's a new part of my ME story that I've just posted if you have time but there's a part before it you haven't read yet so...
*runs faster ignoring the people behind her* *tears blur her vision* *she let's instinct stop her from running into trees* *runs faster and faster still* *sobs rack her body* *still she runs*

*watches Silente* Pretty damn fine tree house, that. :)
#ChaseForBook9
((Why thank you Taia. Its in my tree. I have a tree.))
*finishes painting the outside including the bottom*
*jumps into the house*

*reatatches it with hinges*
*does the same to the other side*
Sadistic updates of the day:
My friend C informs me that emotional torment is more entertaining than physical torment. :P
I pointed out to her about how she always cried whilst her writing because it made her so sad (she does that a lot) and how she didn't find that funny, and she tilted her head to the side and looked thoughtful and said that that was distant, and that it depended on the pain, and that it was more masochism, in a way, and I knew that masochism and sadism were related because I am a knowledgeable bubble like that so I said fairy nuff. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
*jumps out of the tree again*
*runs to a furniture store*
*comes back with a rug*
*and floor varnish*
*and some bean bags*
*and some pictures from her past*
*and light blue paint*
*and candle holders*
*and incents*
*and incent holders*
*and a but load of candles*
*and some draws too*
*cried whilst writing
Unlike me, she can actually WRITE. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
May be distant . . .
Word art calls, you know. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
((HEY STAR! I like the sound of friend C. She sounds nice))
*carries the stuff into the tree house*
*plonks them in one corner*
*starts painting the interior walls*
((She isn't nice, but you don't have to be nice to be awesome. XD))
O_O That's a cool tree house.
#ChaseForBookNine
((*different
Not DISTANT.
Fuckssake. -_-))
#ChaseForBookNine
*finishes her painting*
*varnishes the floor*
*waits for it to dry*
*puts the rug over the trap door*
*puts the bean bag in on corner*
*puts the draws against the wall next to them*
*puts incents and candles in the draw*
*starts hanging the candle holders from the roof*
*puts the incent holder on he draw*
*lights some candles and an incent*
@Tempest: :)
HEY STAR! :)
*frowns at German*
I have checked no boxes in the "nicht im Text" collumn. UGH.
IT'S NOT EVEN A TEXT - IT'S A RECORDING. *throws a piece of pencil sharpening aggressively*
*but not dangerously, because, y'know, it's a piece of pencil shaving*
#ChaseForBook9
*smiles at her room*
*wonders what to do about heat and entertainment*
*runs off*
*comes back with covers and a book case*

*puts the bookcases down*

*comes back with a gigantic pile of books*
*starts sorting them onto shelves*
I didn't give you permission to do this, C!"
And yeah. XD
Quite interesting really.
#ChaseForBookNine
*murdered
I CAN'T COMMUNICATE *facepalm*
@Taia: HEY! :) And, ugh - I hate listening exercises. D:
I work much better just out of textbooks and stuff. I never really like the practical real life side of subjects. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
*finally finishes sorting the books*
*wonders if she has too many*
*shrugs*
*gets her bag of stuff hidden around the clearing*
*sorts them into draws*
*jumps out closing the door and roof behind her*
*locks them*
Anyway hey guys! How are you all?
((You can never have too many books. :P))
I'm okay, Silente . . . you?
#ChaseForBookNine
I had to take a test so hi again. Anyhow....
Dynamite.
@Star: *laughs* Interesting. :P
Though, somebody actually DID get arrested in my school, today. 0.o
#ChaseForBook9
Hi Zaf! :)
Ugh. Tests. D:
. . . I think I generally like tests better than German listening exercises, though. XD
#ChaseForBookNine
@Taia: Really? O_O
Woah.
#ChaseForBookNine
I'm fine thanks!
Dynamite! *throws zaf some lit dynamite*
Is it normal to be looking up torture methods?
I feel bad for my friend, she begged me to ask Derek to Skype for her birthday and he said no. I asked! I was even nice and no dynamite was involved....I just feel bad. She rarely gets anything and honestly the book i got her that i was hoping to get signed means so much to her. Like, I just feel bad...I mean she begged. I know I'm getting her Dark Days signed now July but hey...I know she deserves it. Bah! Human emotions.
Msd i dont remember when the period ends on a delay schedule.
*explodes happily*
Yey zafs happy! Exploded, but happy!
*throws her more lit dynamite*
And Dereks a meanie!
@Star: Yeah. :P
What's annoying is that they're not even consistent.
How're you?
Yo, Zaf! :)
Gelignite.
#ChaseForBook9
I'm fine thanks Taia!
Gotta go desmelitize now...bbs!
I mean he did it once, and he knows we can't go to Ireland, I just generally feel bad! I just do...
@Zaf: :( :(
I guess, you know -
we're never going to get everything we want
and that is life.
#ChaseForBookNine
#ChaseForBook9
*pops in*
Hey Star, Taia, and Zaf!
*pops back out*
Bye Silente!
Hi Dau!
Bye Dau! It was good seeing you momentarily! *waves*
Wait.
Am I supposed to answer in German or English?
*falls to the ground, slowly, like a felled tree*
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
#ChaseForBook9
I think i learned Derek lacks a thought process
*Pops in as well*
DAU
*Pops out*
@Zaf: Oh? Which one would that be?
Hi Adra! Good to see you, also! Bye Adra! *waves*
#ChaseForBook9
Hey Dau! :) :) :)
@Taia: If the question is the English, answer in English. If it's in German, answer in German.
That's what I was told . . . :P
And - woah. O_O O_O O_O O_O
@Zaf: You've seen Derek's recent blog posts, right-left-diagonal-up-down-curvy-circular-multipledirections-invisibledirections-nonexistantdirections? He's - woah - he's mega busy. O_O
It is a bit . . . well, sad, though, I guess. D: D: Poor your friend . . .
#ChaseForBookNine
No seriously he does! I feel bad...
Baaaah msd in math
*pops in*
ADRA
*pops out* (for real this time..?)
@Star: eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-
Actually, that's pretty great logic. Thank you. :)
Also, damn. :P
#ChaseForBook9
Anddddddddddddddddddddddddd am back!
*waves hi/bye to Dau again* :)
Welcome back, Tempesttttt. :)
#ChaseForBook9
Hey Taiaaaaa!
Where'd everyone goooooooo?
Sorry. Poof't.
I don't know? Into the realms of distance? Classes?
#ChaseForBook9
Classes for Zaf, possibly but for Star its only 6:21 or so..
Star said she was doing word art, so probably distant, or otherwise maybe food? ^^
And, if I disappear suddenly, sorry, my laptop is teetering on the brink of, idk, self-destruction, or something. :P
#ChaseForBook9
Okay then :-)
And if she was doing word art shes probably just focusing loads.
*laughs* Yeah. :P/:)
#ChaseForBook9
How's the German/other homework stuff going?
Alright. I kind of gave up on the German, but it's only the last couple of points on the last question that I couldn't work out, sooo... :P
I'm doing physics now. Which is nicer, because it's more about theory and figuring, and if you don't know, you can work it out using various other knowledges, because it's all kind of linked. :)
Physics is scary and difficult, but it's also nice. *nods*
Thanks for asking. :)
How about you? Anything up? Or down? Or sideways?
#ChaseForBook9
My dad just came in and disrupted my flow of thought, so um . . . :P
Anyway.
I am going to describe metal to you in seven words, because I like the number seven, and it is -
- layered
- emotive
- meaningful
- (occasionally) violent (thinking of Slipknot here)
- beautiful
- detailed
- dark
*nods slowly*
Ican'tdescribeorexplainsoyouknow.
TBC
Anyway.

*looks at stars comments*
Whoooooooow. You really have a lot to say about metal music..
@Silente: x3
@Star: Wow, and, I have response, but I'm waiting until you're done, first. :)

There's so many worlds, and we only have one life and one brain, you know? And you can't be into all music ever invented. It's not possible. And I'm into metal, and someone else may be into something else, and the thing is, our music'll probably be worth equal amounts, yeah? But you don't have enough time in your life to be into all of it, so you may as well admit that whether or not people like the music you like, it probably doesn't matter, and in the light of that, this comment is suddenly looking rather pointless, so um - *sits there whistling innocently*
#ChaseForBookNine
I always have a lot to say about metal.
I now spend most of my life listening to metal, thinking about metal, or making word art on metal.
Oh, wait.
I don't have a life. XD
#ChaseForBookNine
^^That was @Silente. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
And yeah, I often tend to slip into this focused realm with artwork . . . it's like drifting off in lessons in a way, except you drift off TO something. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
And I do like science.
Even though I like physics the least. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
(Yeah
should probably stop talking :P)
#ChaseForBookNine
Well when you drift off in lessons you drift into SOMETHING just not something that includes moving much...or, you know, doing stuff that makes sense or is help full...
@Silente: *nods*
When I rant, I often drift off into ranting-thinking mode, and then I realise how most of what I said was irrelevant afterwards . . . XD
#ChaseForBookNine
I do that only not typing...I can't type quick enough to type-rant. But when I'm speak-ranting I stop afterwards d just kind of look confuse for ages...then start ranting again...
You see, I asfast as I speak.
*facepalm*
Speed comes with practise, and I've been a Bloglandian way too long. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
*I type as fast
Hai Guys. mbd.
Hey Chi! :)
#ChaseFoBookNine
HEY CHI!
*ninjatacklehugsfromtheshadows*
*starts tickling her*
I often rant, then stop and change the subject, then change it back without warning. XD
#ChaseForBookNine
I've noticed star. You do it quite a lot...although sometimes you use Hunter to argue against you or change the subject instead.
@Silente: Often I use MYSELF to argue against me. XD
And I don't use Hunter to argue against me. He just decides to disagree with me. XD
#ChaseForBookNine
Yeah...he doesn't disagree with you much though...not anymore. His eyes are weird..what's up with that?
Does he not? *looks curious*
And - *laughs* XD
His eyes automatically change colour according to his emotion, although he can also change them at will. It serves pretty much no purpose, but he thought it would be cool, so. XD
#ChaseForBookNine
I knew it was emotion! Do you know what any of the colours stand for...blue green and black specifically...
XD))
#ChaseForBookNine
((He's had his eyes like that for a long time, now. They were like that when Ez first met him, and like - yeah. O_O
He lived for quite a few decades BEFORE she met him, but. :P))
#ChaseForBookNine
Okay so apperently he's very serious when it comes to me...okay then...
*shrugs*
Vampz get that z lot
How is he and ez and you?
@Star:
I agree.
And the wrote on the board, where it said ‘genre’, she wrote “Heavy metal.”
And I remember one boy, in this assembly hall, said “What? This isn’t heavy metal.”
And it was like he rejected it, because he didn’t see it as coming under that label.
And some of the other kids turned around, like, “Yeah, it is.”
And he said, “It’s not.”
And it’s weird how subjective the idea of genres are.
Anyway. Um.
TBC
#ChaseForBook9
#ChaseForBook9
And then typoing does, too, I thin. xD
Hey Chione! :)
#ChaseForBook9
*physics
*so that if you
*thinK
*facepalms*
*not even going through the two-comment response for typos. Partially for fear of how many. And partially because I don't want to go back now and realise that none it actually mentioned any of the direct/relevant things that I meant, too. :P *
*apologises for diatribe*
(I didn't scare anybody off, did I? I can't help notice the sudden quiet. ._.)
#ChaseForBook9
I do love you, Taia. :) You're ace.
Thank you. *nods*
Yeah.
You know, Avenged Sevenfold . . . it says on their wiki pages that they have been criticised for being not metal enough.
My point is - it's ridiculous. 73.893 miles per hour? What kind of speed limit is that? :P
#ChaseForBookNine
#ChaseForBookNine
(You wonder why they bother with genres and don't just give descriptive adjectives to each song and band. :P)
#ChaseForBookNine
That's a lotttttttttt a genres....why do we need genres? Why can't it just be their a bit like (insert name here) and a bit like (insert different nam here)
@Silente: I KNOW!!!!!!!! D:
#ChaseForBookNine
Or like you said star, description! Its fast and heavy. The beats strong. Yada yada yada.. etc etc etc...
This is really confusing tongue twister:
A bitter biting bittern bit a better biting bittern
And the better biting bittern bit the bitter biting bittern back.
Said the bitter biting bittern to the better biting bittern
“I’m a bitter biting bittern bitten back”
Oh my gosh.
*facepalm*
I'm reading the page on heavy metal subgenres and THERE ARE SUBGENRES FOR THE SUBGENRES.
URGH. :P
Oh my gosh, Silente. :O That looks hard . . .
#ChaseForBookNine
(Metal doesn't often have that intensely strong a beat.
That's rock you're thinking of, people. :P)
#ChaseForBookNine
I was just giving you an example :-)
I was just giving you an example :-)
Yeah. :) :)
*nods*
Wasn't speaking specifically to you. :)
WELL, I have wasted enough of my life now, so um . . . ! *looks around for something to do*
#ChaseForBookNine
Msd, actually. I have things to do like go in the shower and put sheets on my bed. :O
#ChaseForBookNine
@Star: WOw. Yeah. Speed limits. That's... Okay, fine. :P
I don't know.
Sorry. :P
#ChaseForBook9
Hello.
@Silente: Great tongue twister. xD
@Star: Yeah. I think that's what I mean. Sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-genres. idk. :P
ANd, like.. What if one metal song DID have an intensely strong beat?
Would it not be metal anymore?
Would it suddenly become rock?
idk.
It's so BIG, y'know? It's just... big.
#ChaseForBook9
I like 80s music. Don't like anything modern - especially rap. Rap is HORRIBLE music. It's just talking. Not real music -.-
Hi Dragona! :)
@Taia: O_O
Woah.
Woah.
Yeah.
. . .
Yeah.
I guess it's like words.
And they all come from other words.
And one minutes they're slang and the next they're a proper word and then before you know it they're formal English.
And
yeah.
And -
yeah.
O_O
It's astonishing, watching things grow like that. :) :)
And -
yeah.
Yeah.
. . .
I suppose it's like the vehicles on the road changing, so new speed signs get invented, but they're adapted from the old ones.
In a way.
And -
yeah.
Let's just say I agree with you, Taia. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
Star, if you're interested (and if you have time) there's two images I've posted on my Mass Effect blog - just my attempt to draw some biotic energy in GIMP. There's also a part of the story I don't think you've read yet. ^^
Hey Dragona! :)
You know? :)
Also, what kind of 80's music?
#ChaseForBook9
XD)
#ChaseForBookNine
Rock and pop from the 80s. They were the best.
I GOT ICED COFFEE!!!!
Don't like anything modern - why not? Because it's modern? Isn't that discrimination? What if there was a band who just started this year who did 80's style music? Would you not like them just because they started this year? Isn't that discrimination?
(Not really angry, btw. :P)
#ChaseForBookNine
@Star: WOrds. Yeah. Woah. :)
*nods* Astonishing. And- :)
Thank you for your agreement? I'm not really sure if I made a real point, so much as just buzzed about linkage, but, cool. :P
#ChaseForBook9
@Dragona: *nods*
#ChaseForBookNine
If you compare most music from like now, to music in the 80s, the music in the 80s had a LOT more emotions in. Also, some of them were legendary - whereas today, none of them really seem to stand out - they kind of all flow together in a single sea of musicalness, whereas the 80s music is like a lake with tidal waves in it, in comparison.
@Dragona: You can use '80's' as a music genre name, though, so - fair enough. :P
@Taia: But it was good buzzing. :)
And something that just sounds like a load of mindless buzzing to one person could be the best music ever to another. :P *pokes*
#ChaseForBookNine
Woah a big debate I see long comments!!
No puedo leer!
I do understand what you're saying, like - *nods*
My brother says that he can never really tell which artist is which when he listens to Capital because they all sound the same. :P
Whilst that may be a bit exaggerated, I can see where he's coming from.
(Although if you're offended, please remember what I said about when discussing pop music stereotypes - not all pop music fits that, yeah?)
#ChaseForBookNine
LOL, Zaf, you just said you can't read.
@Dragona: *nods*
Yeah.
You're using it as a genre.
Which is fair enough. :)
Music is . . . yeah. It's different.
Change is constant.
#ChaseForBookNine
I think you mean "no voy a leerlo". "I'm not going to read it".
Or maybe "No voy a leer todo" "I'm not going to read everything"
Sorry, Spanish AS Level asljsadlsdakl
Right ok I think I'm here.
Hai Dragona and Star.
Hi Chi! :)
#ChaseForBookNine
@Star: Yes.
Just, yessing on the whole rap-related comment because waaaaahhhhhh. :P
@Dragona: *nods*
Just, like, I think there was some dominant hiphop/rap movement IN the 80's, in, like, idk, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy. Whatever.
And quirky alt music, like, idk, They Might Be Giants coming in, Noise rock like Sonic Youth, industrial rock - Nine Inch Nails... A lot of things happened in the 80s. A lot of things happen always. :P
but, like.. That rap music could have been influencial TO various rock/pop artists in the 80s. I don't know.
Everything is kind of squiggly and confused and circular but not so straightforward. :P
But, awesome. What kinds of artists, then, like, any examples?
BRB

Zafira's returned. Now to see if the vampire is still here... I'll have to leave again within the half hour, however, and I doubt I'll return until the vampire and Star have left again.
I know I was being funny. Zaffy is in Spanish 3 almost Finished I can conjugate my verbs.
Tengo dos gerbils y sus nombres son Coco y Snowball. My favorito animal es el gato. Yo tenia un gato pero èl murò. Quero un gato.
So deal with me while you have me Alastair
Alastair portarse mal. (i think I kind of said it right, I just learned the saying so forgive me)
Oi Alastair its Silente NOT the vampire! Get it right!
Also guys if you have the time could you possibly check this out? I hate asking people to do this but I want an honest opinion on them :-)
http://tempestspoems.blogspot.co.uk/
Cruciatus-Alastair, it would be illogical to wait for another enemy to be in proximity.
Silente! *tacklehugs*
Silente has a name, Cruciatus. I may be unable to move but I can still yell at you.
*is tacklehugged* Chio! How are you?! Its been a while! Well only like two days or something but that's too long!
They're not enemies. They're playthings.
((Are we pressing play on the rp then?))
I am not some 'plaything'!!! You are an idiot to think I will let you do a thing to me then what you have, *is glaring, the only thing I actually can do*
Javier: Zaf, shh. I'll get you to the Sanctuary. Hayley will know what to do, he poisoned you.
((Not play things, that you *smiles sweetly* okay play then))
*snarls at hunters teleportation*
*looks around and captures sight one of the Alastairs*
*bounds towards it*
*jumps and lands on its chest swapping at his face*
*leaves 4 claw marks and 1 less eye*
Cruciatus-Alastair, your opinions are illogical. I suggest you need psychological assistance. Underestimating opponents leads to overconfidence in organics. Overconfidence leads to the defeat of organics. It is a neurological weakness.
((I'm good silente, sorry I haven't been on a lot, been busy and stuff))
((Sorry for poofing. D:))

((I think he may have left..))
((Aw man he left the fight...sorry zaf))
*snarls at Alastairs disappearance*
*looks around securing for new prey*
*spots zaf*
*starts bounding towards her*
**searching
Silente?! Help....I can't move....*growls in frustration*
Javier: *hits ground* Damn it!!! *runs towards the clearing*
(Alice, you'll be back later my time, yes?!
*stands in front of Silente*
((Really very sorry))
*leaps onto zafs back*
*knocks her over*
*claws at her back drawing blood*
*swipes again making crossing cuts*
*turns around and tackles Silente*
*forms a wall of air to keep Javier back*
SILENTE STOP IT!!!! STOP!!! *isn't able to defend self against her*
(I'm basically paralyzed thanks to Alastair so I really can't do much to defend myself...)
Javier: *slams into wall* ALASTAIR STOP IT!!!! *is shaking in rage* Let her go!!! Silente will kill her!!! Then you will have one less plaything.
*shadows wrap around Dragona, lifting him off the ground and holding him there*
((Screw you Alastair!))
*pushes against dragon with her back legs*
*scents the blood and pushes against him harder sending him to the other side of the clearing*
*jumps back on zaf*
*claws at her back again and again*
*grows stronger at the sight of blood*
*snarls*
*sends pulses of electricity through the shadows*
Attacking this unit is illogical.
*sends pulses of electricity through the shadows*
Attacking this unit is illogical.
*absorbs the electricity, keeping the shadows intact*
*also sorry for poofing* :P

Cruciatus-Alastair, this unit does not understand what you are wanting to achieve. Please state.
((This is where we leave. If we're not pausing, assume I moved Zafira before she died. If not, don't assume anything.))
Alexis: *sends a collum of air to knock Silente off Zaf* *turns on Alastair and sends a knife using the air to make it extremely fast, directed at his heart*
*keeps quiet though is in a lot of pain*
*claws more and more at zaf*
*growls and snarls with each swipe*
*its dark eyes glimmer with joy*
*flips her over and claws her stomach*
*swipes at her face leaving 4 ugly gashes*
(Silente we can continue if you'd like, I have Alexis still able to fight and I can work around Zaf being moved)
((Yeah we can, I'd like to return to my senses but I can't do that unless we finish))
*is thrown back by the air*
*sees that zaf, too is gone*
*turns to Alexis and starts bounding towards her*
*jumps up to get a better attack*
*jumps at Silente at the same time and both hit the ground*
9(I'll bring Hunter back on. :P))
#ChaseForBookNine
*kick dragona off again*
*hisses in displeasure/anger*
*runs again at Alexis*
*is a blur of movement*
*leaps onto Alexis*
*tackles Silente again*
*pins her down* *draws pistol and points it at her head*
Alexis: *clicks fingers and throws fire at Silente* *has serum and tries to get Silente with it*
*hisses and swipes*
*the gun breaks into two seperate pieces*
*pushes dragona off once more*
*swipes at the robots face, damaging the software*
*leaps at Alexis*
*Balls of silver hit Silente's claws and harden around them, trapping her hands. Another ball shoots towards her chest, knocking her back off Alexis. Lorcan runs up beside Alexis, checking her over.*
Lorcan: Lexi! Are you okay?
Alexis: I'm fine. Thank you Lorcan. I can't say the same for my mother...wherever Alastair threw her.
*punches Silente hard in the back of the head, with his metal hand powered by synthetic muscle tissue stronger than any human*
*hisses at the silver bounding her claws*
*pulls against it*
*watches it crack and pulls harder jumping to her feet*
((Sorry. Computer malfunctioning.))
#ChaseForBookNine
*Lorcan keeps firing silver balls at her claws, having it harden and layer before he jumps and lands on her chest. All his silver and anger bearing down on the vampire*
Lorcan: Silente!!! Come to your senses or else I will encase you in silver and leave you for a statue!
Aro: *cuts Silente's senses off*
Alexis: *rumages for a serum needle*
*has her senses cut off*
*flails her legs around violently*
*shakes lorcan off*
*lays on the ground rather disturbed*
*gets to her feet and stands*
((WARNING CANT JUST BE ANY SERUM! NEEDS TO BE MY SPECIAL TYPE OR I WILL HAVE A SEVIER ALLERGIC REACTION THAT MAY END IN DEATH!))
*jumps in front of Silente, protecting her*
*Steals them both in a sphere of ice*
Alexis; Oh my god
Aro: What did Silente do?!
((Chi you just sealed yourse in an ice sphere with a (quite literally) sensless vampire who chest is covered in silver...))
((Aw man ded.. er..hmm..))
I dedicate this page to individuality! We all have it and we should all cherish it.
(Hear hear!!!)
((Can I please have my senses back?!))
*moves to a defensive crouch*
*waits for her senses to return*
*snarls in anger and fear*
Aro: *releases Silente's senses*
Alexis: Aro? Thank you. We need Mom.
Aro: I know, sis. Damn Lorcan is strong.
Lorcan: I'm a one of a kind mage, strength kinda comes with the package.
*breaks the silver covering her chest and arms*
*shakes and shudders*
*shudders and snakes*
*human skin begins to reform*
*the beast snarls its displeasure*
*the girls images returns soon followed by her clouded mind*
*memories of what happen break through the fog*
*her eyes widen in fear and the girl starts to sob*
No zaf..I..I couldn't have..I mean I didn't...I mean
*lunges to her feet and runs through the ice*
*flees into the forest her memories hot on her heels*
*tears through the woods not looking where she's going just trying to out run reality*
Are you guys having a fight without me?
Who needs Zaf, when you have me? *Theme tune plays*
((Sorry Blake you came too late))
Oh great... *flies in pursuit, staying in the shadows*
Aro: Wicked.
Alexis: Oh! Lorcan...have I introdced you properly to Aro? Well uh this is Aro my older brother.
Javier: *runs after Silente* Hey Silente wait!!
I have to go now. Bye!

((Raig D:<))
Oh well, I suppose I'll just beat people up another time. What exactly did I miss?
*runs faster ignoring the people behind her*
*tears blur her vision*
*she let's instinct stop her from running into trees*
*runs faster and faster still*
*sobs rack her body*
*still she runs*
I know Em and you my Iriminion one day will Skype with me again *pets*
*Lorcan nods to Aro in greeting*
Lorcan: Nice to finally meet you. Just a warning, don't go near my head, it doesn't do nice things to people.
