Advanced Placement. Its top set where I can take a test at the end of the year to get college credit for the class. I learn how the government works. I had to test in and I took the test Tuesday, I got told by my mom at lunch, she works in the school.
Okay, so me and C devised this metaphor about understanding, and if you're metaphorically taller you have a higher level of understanding. So me and her and B are metaphorically taller than G and me and C are metaphorically taller than B. And because I am metaphorically tall, I tend to place my writing on a shelf that I can reach, because I can't bend down very easily. So people who are metaphorically shorter often can't reach my writing on my shelf and I think they'll miss a lot of stuff. :/ My writing isn't very audience-friendly.
I suppose... I think I might start doing that... But I like writing...I love it even, if you type it...it takes away the fun... It feels better when you have a light pen and you're furiously scribbling down your ideas.
I love typing because it's so fast, though . . . I mean, I type as fast as I think. It's literally that fast. You're thinking it as you type it. When you're writing, my brain moves faster and has to wait for my hand to catch up. Also, my writing is very messy and hard for me to read. Plus, editing . . . it's hard for me to correct myself on paper. And when I make errors, I have to scribble them out. I used to like writing better than typing, but I've just gotten so attached to typing through spending so much type online that I prefer it now. :P
I also get 9 points adding to my grade each marking period. If i get a 90 without the points, i'll get a 99 when grades are in. Its only for AP/Honors classes.
@Silente: Damn. O_O We only have sets in maths and science.
I've never had sets in English and I never will and I'm just like -_-. That's really selfish though, because multiple people, including my mum, who knows stuff, have informed me that sets in English are not helpful. :P It would be helpful to people who are good at English, but not to the others. Plus we got a sheet home once to show us how many people were achieving which level in each subject across the year group, and in science and maths, our setted subjects, more people have higher levels than in other subjects but more people had lower levels, too . . .
Well in my experiences the higher sets tend to do really well but then all the annoying bratty idiotic children disturb the other kids lessons in the lower sets. So its a case of the top sets get smarter and the lower sets stay low with the occasional exception.
It's partially the way they're assessed, though. On the higher maths paper, you have to get over 20% to pass. Honestly. My friends in lower sets, who take the higher paper and the lower paper when they're assessed, have informed me it's easier to do pass on the higher paper. It's ridiculous. We should all be assessed by the same criteria, like we were when my mum was at school.
I would hardly be campaigning for a lack of sets in science, though. Maybe it's selfish, but I love science and I'm not sacrificing my chances of learning more for equality. . . . Actually, that is pretty much immensely, horrible, despicably selfish. :P Oops.
I'm not going to lie to you, though. I'm not going to make myself seem better than I am. I am me, and you can either like me or dislike me, but in order for me to see what people really think of me, I have to be honest with them about myself, even the parts of myself that I don't like.
That doesn't mean I'm allowed to think that, though.
. . .
*looks at science mournfully and tries to come to terms with sacrificing that* *it's rather interesting that I can't do that. I'm not quite as nice as I thought*
@Silente: Of course I am. :) And - it's okay. :) I don't mind if you don't like me.
They can't do away with coursework! :O
Not for subjects like art, anyway! That's ridiculous!
Science and maths can be 100% exam and no coursework, because it's what you have taken in and remember and understood, and you're tested on your knowledge. For things like English and history and music, you're tested on ability. You can't base your knowledge of someone's abilities on what they shown on one day. That's ridiculous. With knowledge - you either know it or you don't. With ability - you can display it to different degrees depending on a large range of factors, and in order to judge it properly, you must do it over a range of time. It's like science experiments. The more trials you have, the more accurate your results, because you get a more rounded result as it is not possible for all of them to be hindered by one factor. If you only do one test, only look at one day, then for all you know it could be an outlier, and how would you realise when you have nothing else to judge it on? For art, I'm not even going into detail explaining. It's quite clearly ridiculous. Art is so time-consuming to create, you obviously need to give people lots of time to create artwork to a detailed extent in multiple media. In an exam, you can't do that. I'm sure if you looked at a painting Leonardo da Vinci or someone did on an off day once, you might consider not passing him for GCSE art. You have to look at all of it.
@Silente: *nods* My friend C isn't nice, and I don't have an issue telling her this. If she says the people in our friendship group are nice, I'll point out that she isn't, and she'll go, well, APART from me. Niceness is a quality, like determination or sensitiveness. It can be cool to have it, but there are disadvantages to it. Niceness is not equivalent to awesomeness. If you are nice, you are often awesome, but you don't have to be nice to be awesome. Some of the most awesome people I know aren't nice.
Nice can be defined in many ways though. Nice could be lending a hand. Or cheering you up. Or lending you money. Or giving you a hint about an askew hair or something. Even if your not all of those your still 'nice' in some sense. In a way everyone is 'nice' it jut depends on your perspective. Even Alice. He's nice enough to not hurt you unless it suits him. And to not kill you straight away. So in a way /everyone/ is nice.
I see essays as rants, except you have to rant about one particular thing and also explain it clearly in essay-style. It's like a restricted, restrained version of ranting. And as far as ranting goes - you're either feeling it or you're not, you know? I mean, when you really get going on something, your minds just sets ablaze and your thoughts flow out like a rush of lava. It can be hard to try and contain that lava, to try and control where it flows to, and I have limited success doing that. But sometimes, your lava just isn't coming, and you just don't even know what to do so you're kind of just piling rough stones in a pile trying to approximate something, and then thing is, the heat just isn't there. And I detest it when we're just told to write an essay paragraph in ten minutes at the end of the lesson, because I can't just do it like that. I often scribble in the back of my exercise book, talking to myself, in order to work out what I'm thinking so I can hit the ground and make myself erupt, because the thing is, I can't just spontaneously combust at will. I need to spend a while tapping into my lava stream. And I won't get there unless I jump into the flow and keep thinking and talking and ranting until I find it, but I can't do that in a paragraph, and I think much better when writing or speaking or typing my thoughts out. And it feels like we're just expected to turn our paragraphs on at will, like I have a lava tap somewhere, and I'm just like D:. And sometimes, my lava just isn't flowing where it should, and it kind of wanders off the road and starts burning through all these fields and then I really struggle to redirect it, and then my paragraph is really long and ramble-y and it's just like :/. And then some times, my trickle of lava is really slow, and what I'm saying just . . . it's just really lacking and below standard, but I don't know what I can do, because I can't magic up lava out of thin air.
Anyway, yeah. :P I'm sure that was going to say something relevant at some point, but I forgot it, and I thought I might as well finish off my flow of lava whilst it was there.
@Silente: Yeah, I suppose . . . But maybe someone is kind of nice, but you're not friends with them coz they're nice. You're friends with them for other reasons. Niceness can, then, occasionally be irrelevant.
(Now guys, this is Dimitri, but in my next book I want the main protagonist to be a female, so I'm going to take the role of Leila. Her powers are similar to the beauty of China, as well as some physical attributes. The character is still in development, and I will come up with a description later.)
Star went for dinner (she said Bbs dinner at the end of her comment), and Silente may have disappeared while Star was writing out a long speech. I imagine she'll be back in a moment.
I'm here, but it's morning for me, so I will be distant. Sorry for any inconvenience/misunderstanding.
@Dimitri: I had the same problem with finishing things - or even getting beyond starting them really, I think the first three chapters was the furthest I got - before Hunter and Ez came along. :P
They are, however, uh . . . otherwise occupied atm. :/
Blogland is just...here. I think its its own country. An almost completely undiscoverd one. Except for the lucky few. And hey Reaper. What's with the new character?
@Leila: I believe it's a pocket dimension. Some see it as a place, some see it as an alternative version of the world we know, and some see it as the story world we're in.
Just adding to the short story now. This is so damn gooooooooooood. I think Zaffy will like it since Ravel is in a band :3 I hope she reads it. They all have their own colour of tie for their suits :3
I just...have to put a Ghastly x Tanith moment in here, excuse me.
Whatever Hunter and Ez see it as (which is undefined - some of them is off-access to me, as my own brain is not developed enough to comprehend the details), it doesn't matter because, as they're from the future, it seems kind of like a different dimension anyway . . .
Blogland is an alternative dimension, created from imagination, which is why Blogland just happens to have all the natural features and man-made landmarks that we require it to have at any given moment. From Blogland, we can travel to England, or America, or Russia, etc, but it's unclear as to wether or not those are 'in Blogland' or 'outside Blogland.'
It's so HOT out, and I can't complain about it, because it's not actually that bad, but for Seattle, for April especially. I couldn't sleep last night and now I have a bad headache.
My story takes place after World War III. Society had fallen, and any thought of peace had been shredded to pieces. During the war, a modified subatomic particle bomb, which made the gravitational pull of the earth disappear. Eventually, the field reappeared, although earth was now a long streak. Fourteen years after this occurrence is when Leila wishes to make her mark, in a world where countries no longer exist, but rather sectors. Such as District Nine, The Hunger Games and Divergent. Although there are no prawn people or games of death.
I thought it would be insanely cool if the earth that has been created from my story was the earth that was in our universe, but it's an extremely big ask and I don't expect it to happen. Maybe in another dimension.
Rain will make the flowers grow, but it won't cheer me up like a nice hot day would. Particularly since it's been raining for five days now. One or two days is one thing, but after three, I am ready for the sun to come out once more.
Rain isn't as nice when its the only weather you see 99% of the time. Its cold and soaks you. And the clouds look grey and grumpy. It makes everything darker. You get sick of it eventually.
My favorite days are the autumn ones, when the air is crisp, cool, and clear, and leaves twirl around you and crunch under your boots like potato chips or the bones of your enemies.
I like spring, but almost only because of the blossoms on trees. I like making them rain on me. Its fun. And pretty. But otherwise and chose August. Its not too cold like in late autumn but its not warm like in mid summer.
Moss was right. If I refrain from harming any of you, it is only because, in my mind, you are not even human, and not worth the trouble. To use Aretha's metaphor, I like to break mirrors, so cardboard is a waste of my time. If I kill slowly, it is only because death ends suffering, and I live for pain.
Sounds like a fun person to spar with. And I'm sure I could beat her eventually. Beauty can be overcome. Speed and agility are skills we share. As are weapons training. Although her access to weapons might be more limited... witty..that should be fun.
*glares at the shot* That was loud. *sighs* *sings and dances* Wake me up. Wake me up inside. Can't wake up. Wake me up and s- Save me! Call my name and save me from the dark. Wake me up. Bid my blood to run. Can't wake up. Before I come undone. Save me! Save me from the nothing I've become! *finishes the song dropped over the top of her coffin peering at her used eyes*
Well not really. I know its not considered a happy cheery thing but it was a random quick sketch of how someone puts on a fake face to hide the disaster they feel they are inside.. but then I realised a may be considered disturbing...
@Leila: Well, I don't know. You know my characters have superspeed, yes? They can move so fast they teleport. When they're not using etherenergy, though, she'll be faster than them. :)
Ok first, do you guys feel awkward at really flirtatious scenes and maybe getting a bit...hanky panky? Because if you do, i'll try to leave them out in future...
They make me blush and feel a tiny bit awkward but overall I kinda like them which may seem a bit pervy but I think it adds more character and more detail to the story.
Alright. Because I may be very good at writing these scenes. obviously not from experience... >.<
the Guild Hunter Series I'm reading had so many scenes in just the first book! and the other two I read. Not so much the 2nd cause it was more plot and a big battle.
I agree with the red for skulduggery, I'm not really sure on Dexters personality, only that he's a joking fun kinda guy and that the royal blue seems rather deep and emotional to me so maybe a slightly lighter colour for him. I like the yellow tie for Ghastly and think the purple tie for sacren really suits him. The green for Anton I might have done a grey or something darker and the black for ravel I think I right as well.
I wouldn't have said those colours - but, of course, different colours mean different things to different people. Like me and Lantern both see letters as different colours, but we see them as different colours to each other. *often sorts out word art colour schemes by the colours of letters and words :P* Colours symbolise different things to different people.
Oh. I have to ded. Great. Perfect. Well then. I DEDICATE THIS PAGE TO...TO....ER...... ICE! AND SNOW! ICE IS FUN TO SKATE ON! ALTHOUGH NOT WHEN YOU SLIP ON IT AND HURT YOUR BUTT...SNOW IS GREAT! I LOVE HOW IT COVERS THE WORLD IN A GIANT BLANKET. IT MAKES EVERYTHING ONE AND THE SAME! IT MAKES THINGS SILENT AND PEACEFUL! ITS LIKE A FRESH START! ITS BEAUTIFUL! AND I LOVE IT!
What do you think of the instruments Silente? I chose Saracen's to be funny, obviously. I chose the rest for perfectly good reasons, but do you agree with my choices? if not, what would you have chosen?
Well much as I hate to critizise you forgot the bass.. I though Skulduggery would have been the singer personally. Then Ghastly on drums. Dexter and Sacren on guitar and bass. Ravel..I have no idea what Ravel would have been. Anton I wouldn't know what he should do either. Maybe keyboard? But that's just my ideas. I don't really know them that well and its also based on personal experience with musicians.
I chose Skulduggery for the drums because I thought he could use bones as drumsticks, I just thought it would be cool.
Dexter, the one on guitar is usually hot, and *looks at him* Yep.
I didn't because then one of them would be dancing with the girls and I would feel sorry for them. And I couldn't think of another instrument in a band.
Ghastly, I thought of him at his sewing machine and thought of him playing piano because of the pedals and stuff so - keyboard.
Ravel - I don't know why I made him a singer, just felt right.
@Chi: I would have chosen black for Skulduggery. He's a black kind of person, in so many aspects. :) Ghastly's name's grey, so I'm used to thinking the colour grey whenever I think of him, but I don't think he's actually grey, so I don't know. He's possibly purple, although purple is a bit of a funny colour, so that would depend on which way you looked at it. Probably a dark kind of purple. And Dexter would probably have been a golden kind of colour, possibly, but I haven't thought about that immensely, it's just the colour I think of him in my mind and isn't backed up by logic or reasoning or anything. Dark green is possibly good for Anton. *thinks about it* I don't know, it depends how you think about it. . . . Crap. The problem is, I don't know many of them well enough, so I can't really sum up their personality in my mind very well, and it's hard to kind of find a colour, especially when the feeling of the colour keeps changing and shifting. D: Ravel - I always think red when I think of him, because his name begins with a capital R. Come on. I think he possibly is red, as well, although it's a kind of . . . he's kind of the red of my red felt tip, so it isn't . . . it's a kind of smooth red, although that's not what I mean. . . . *is wondering the point of saying any of this, because it's not like I'm speaking English :P* Anton could have been dark green, yes. *nods* *blinks* Saracen - his first name is a yellow word, a kind of brownish yellow in a way, but orange-y as well because of that 'c', and his surname is red. So it might take me a while to think past thought colours. . . . I don't know, for Saracan. . . . Damn. . . . This is why Hunter has fixed eye colours for each emotion. -_- *yells at colours* JUST STAY STILL A MOMENT! I think he's kind of what grey represents, but he isn't grey, so that doesn't make sense. *blinks* He is purple, actually. I think he is. O_O
Anyway.
Your colours are better as far as picking main colours goes - if I'd had a choice of good colours I could pick, like, red and yellow and blue and green and purple and all the main ones, I would probably have sorted them slightly better, using names and personalities and process of elimination. :P
Don't ever ask me a deep evaluation question like this, though. It's too hard. XD
I know it's inconvenient, them both being purple, but that's just how it is. :P
Dark purple just fits Ghastly. He is dark, in a way. He's been through a lot of shit in his life, and he just likes sitting in a corner - in a tailorshop, which is dark and smooth - and . . . I forgot what I was saying. And I don't think - I don't think he's innocent, in a way. And I don't think he's very light-hearted. And idk. I was thinking of him in the beginning of LSODM.
@star how do you get colours from a name? *looks at own name* *well by own name I mean Silente Tempest not Echo Tempest* how?
Actually that's a good point with Ghastly on keyboard. I didn't think of it like that. I though Dexter and Sacren for bass and guitar because they always seem joking and funny and*le blush* *mumbles* hot.. skulduggery I though because of his 'velvety voice' *shrugs* I don't know really,
I should put another guitar in but then the other person would be dancing and I wouldn't want only one guy dancing with the girls!
And I know it was rather stereotypical, but that is just what I've noticed from music videos and stuff. I mean, usually all are really good looking, but I mostly prefer the one on guitar. That's my opinion.
@Silente: Because letters are just different colours. D: It's hard to explain. It's like when . . . I don't know. You know how in the autumn the sun is more yellow, and in some lightbulbs the light is more white, and in some the light is more yellow, and in summer the light is glaring and bright, and in the winter the sun is watery and weak? It's like that. You can't really explain how the light is different colours, it juts kind of IS. And it's not as if you can exactly look at light, because it just . . . is, like a coat overlying the objects you're observing.
Silente is a light yellow for me. Tempest is more sunset orange-with-a-little-pink. And they're just there. They're just associations. Probably different for Star, though. :-P
(Crap. :P Sorry.) (It's just rock is such a wide genre.)
What kind of guitar, actually? Was it, like, kind of beat-y, or was it kind of solo-y?
(I'm sorry! D:) (You can ignore me if you want. :P)
@Silente: Well, you can thing of more than one thing at once! You're cool!
@Lantern: I agree with Ravel and mostly with Saracen, when his surname is included. Dexter's name begins with D, so it's green, but it's kind of grey as well. It's hard, though, because when I start thinking about it, I start seeing all the individual colours of the letters and my vision kind of falls apart . . . :P Skulduggery's name starts off yellow and kind of goes darker at the end. Murky, in a way. Pleasant is purple, though. :) Anton's name is kind of light green. :)
(Don't worry, Silente. It's actually sort of weird to see colors in letters. And it's not seeing so much as associating. But yeah. Also, you don't have to try so much to fit in. You're amazing for who you are, you don't need to go into who you're not.))
Okay. I've tryed with Stars name. I see the word Star as a sort of pale pink with orange in it. As for Inkbright its sort of...dark blue/black/purple at the ink but then the bright adds more if a white/yellow hue..what do you guys see?
@Silente: Silente is yellow, like Lantern said. :) Although is kind of reminds me of windows in a house, though. You know, it's an old house, and it's dark, and this bright yellow light is shining out from the windows, almost blocking out the dark edges of the house around them. . . . I have no idea where that's coming from. :P You can't look too closely, though, or you miss it. Like a less-difficult version of looking at something in the corner of your eye. Tempest is dark blue-purple. :)
And - it's rather fascinating to me, to think of NOT being able to see words as colours. :P
I put a lot of thought into the colours and instruments but I did it off of personality, not names. If I did it off of names, I would probs agree with you guys. Dexter as green. Ghastly, would be purple, skulduggery black, Ravel blood red, Saracen, grey, anton, orange
((Fabi I always try hard to fit in. I'm a scared child. I don't like the idea of being alone or...ordinary. I don't like the idea of blending in and turning...grey. That's the best way I can phrase it.))
@Silente: Really? I see Star as kind of yellow and turquoise. A really light turquoise though - my turquoise felt tip, which is, along with my grey, my lightest . . . Inkbright is red and blue. :P Possibly a dark indigo kind of blue. Bright is a shining blue word, though. That's why it's there. :) Ink is definitely red. :P Dark red, kind of. They look different when you put them together. :) Star Inkbright is red and yellow. :)
@Silente: *nods* I know what you mean. I don't like fitting in, but I do. (I'm so contradictory. D:) But yeah . . . I think. And - yeah. :/ I like to think I'm different and special. Once this boy said to me that I liked to think I was all special, being different, but really I was just this sad little loser and didn't realise it. Possibly that's true. It's a rather interesting thought, in any case.
I don't know why I'm like that. Its just...the idea of being grey and blending in, the idea that I could be overlooked and seen as average..I don't like it. And I always worry that I am. I'm normally terrified that I'm blending in, just fading away and becoming an irritant. Urgh I hate insecurities. They make you sound like your whining.
(( [hugs Silente] That happens to a lot of us. But with something like name colors, we're not going to hold it against you if you don't see/understand them, and I hope you know that. I guess that's what I was trying to say.))
I see Star as orange...
And Inkbright as light purple.
And Fabi is kind of hard to color because it has a red, yellow, blue and white letter.
I can remember that in year one, most of the playground was lining up to get oranges, and I didn't want to, because everyone else liked oranges and I didn't want to be one of Them, and my best friend lined up to get an orange and I was disappointed because she was one of Them as well. :( This desire to not to mainstream has been in me for as long as I can remember and idek where it came from but it's here. :P
Huh. I found words like Star and Fabi a lot harder to colour when we had these discussions in the past, but now I can just light turquoise it. XD I think my brain is adapting to my felt tips and pencils . . . I made two other references to them up there, although one is invisible.

Like, just now.
Wbd, though - I need to work out colour schemes for my word art and write some stuff.
#ChaseForBookNine
Is it going to kill you?
Are you going to die?
Don't die!
DONT DI:-) E!
THAT IS NOT AN APPROPRIATE PLACE FOR A SMILY FACE TABLET!
*screeches* Zaffy got into AP Government
YEY ZAFFY GOT INTO AP GOVERNMENT! WHAT /IS/ THIS AP GOVERNMENT?!
No I'm not ill. I'm on study leave for my exams. But, I have almost finished typing up the short story :)
@Silente: *laughs* XD
@Chi: Well, up, yay! :)
@Zaf: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! :)
#ChaseForBookNine
Oh good. Being ill isn't very fun. So its good your not ill. And YEY! Short story! Can't wait!
Well, almost done typing up what I wrote...I might add to it...
Advanced Placement. Its top set where I can take a test at the end of the year to get college credit for the class. I learn how the government works. I had to test in and I took the test Tuesday, I got told by my mom at lunch, she works in the school.
You see, this is why I prefer writing either on the computer or my phone . . . :P
You only have to write it once.
#ChaseForBookNine
Whatever you think would be best Chi! Just inform me when its up!
@zaf so good then. Very good. In that case YEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Okay, so me and C devised this metaphor about understanding, and if you're metaphorically taller you have a higher level of understanding. So me and her and B are metaphorically taller than G and me and C are metaphorically taller than B.

I suppose... I think I might start doing that... But I like writing...I love it even, if you type it...it takes away the fun... It feels better when you have a light pen and you're furiously scribbling down your ideas.
I thought I didn't get in. *sighs* I guess Nic has a point, I do have some form of intelligence.
But it is amazingly annoying typing it all up again. Especially with my writing when...writing.
Writing stuff down does tend to feel more personal..
YOU HAVE A HIGH FORM OF INTELLIGENCE! AT LEAST IN SOME AREA YOU HAVE A HIGH FORM OF INTELLIGENCE!

@Silente: I suppose, in a way. But in depends on perspective, mindframe, associations and how accustomed you are to each media.
@Zaf: Of course you're intelligent! :P

*time
@Zaf: Damn. O_O That's ace.
#ChaseForBookNine
I never feel like I am. I'm in Honors English but nothing else, well next year I'll take Honors English and AP Government.
@Zaf: That's ace!!!!
I really, really, really wish we had sets in English. :/ Damn.
#ChaseForBookNine
It is Star. I get that in English this year. It helps when my English teacher sucks.
We have sets in English...we have sets in nearly everything.
Plus we got a sheet home once to show us how many people were achieving which level in each subject across the year group, and in science and maths, our setted subjects, more people have higher levels than in other subjects but more people had lower levels, too . . .
#ChaseForBookNine
I mean - the grades were more spread out in science and maths. In other subjects, we pootled along in the middle a bit more. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
#ChaseForBookNine
@Silente: Well, that sucks. -_-
Yeah. Sets are probably not good.
I would hardly be campaigning for a lack of sets in science, though. Maybe it's selfish, but I love science and I'm not sacrificing my chances of learning more for equality.
. . .
Actually, that is pretty much immensely, horrible, despicably selfish. :P
Oops.
I'm not going to lie to you, though. I'm not going to make myself seem better than I am. I am me, and you can either like me or dislike me, but in order for me to see what people really think of me, I have to be honest with them about myself, even the parts of myself that I don't like.
#ChaseForBookNine
I agree. And apparently they're trying to do away with coursework. That's really stupid!
Its fine. I still like you. Your still an awesomly bubbly bubble. :-)
That doesn't mean I'm allowed to think that, though.
. . .
*looks at science mournfully and tries to come to terms with sacrificing that*
*it's rather interesting that I can't do that. I'm not quite as nice as I thought*
#ChaseForBookNine
*being nice is overrated*
*Theres a line between nice and NICE*
*you should never cross it*
*ever*
Ok. I think, after I type up the ones I have wrote, I will start to just type them.
@Silente: Of course I am. :)
And - it's okay. :) I don't mind if you don't like me.
#ChaseForBookNine
@Silente: *nods*
My friend C isn't nice, and I don't have an issue telling her this.
#ChaseForBookNine
I know about art. I've seen my sister cry, scream, beg and plead over art.
But your emotions can screw up your science/maths tests! One bad day and BAM! Bad results. Just like that. Maybe just one bad hour even...
@Silente: Well, then you resit.
#ChaseForBookNine
Nice can be defined in many ways though. Nice could be lending a hand. Or cheering you up. Or lending you money. Or giving you a hint about an askew hair or something. Even if your not all of those your still 'nice' in some sense. In a way everyone is 'nice' it jut depends on your perspective. Even Alice. He's nice enough to not hurt you unless it suits him. And to not kill you straight away. So in a way /everyone/ is nice.
Although for English -
I see essays as rants, except you have to rant about one particular thing and also explain it clearly in essay-style.
I'm sure that was going to say something relevant at some point, but I forgot it, and I thought I might as well finish off my flow of lava whilst it was there.
#ChaseForBookNine
I don't think he's not hurting you because he's being nice. I think it's because he sees you as pathetic flies and not worth his time.
Um, sorry.
Sorry, I got distracted.
For two hours.
*mind's
@Silente: Yeah, I suppose . . .
But maybe someone is kind of nice, but you're not friends with them coz they're nice. You're friends with them for other reasons.
Niceness can, then, occasionally be irrelevant.
Bbs, dinner.
#ChaseForBookNine
I agree, Lantern. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
(Now guys, this is Dimitri, but in my next book I want the main protagonist to be a female, so I'm going to take the role of Leila. Her powers are similar to the beauty of China, as well as some physical attributes. The character is still in development, and I will come up with a description later.)
(And by next book I mean story, since I've never really tied any of my stories off.)
..it would suck if everyone just left bc I came on
Which has happened before.
._.
[Waves] Have a nice dinner, Starararararararararawr
Hi Dimitri/Leila. Um, Fabi in the roleplay is sort of unavailable at the moment, but I could bring in another character if you want to roleplay?
Yeah... I never finish my stories either. Or my paintings. Or my cathedrals. Meh.
I'm distant because I'm typing this up. Sorry Dimitri/Leila.
#ChaseForBookNine
It's fine, thanks.
And you can call me Leila.
I hope this doesn't make me any less masculine as a male bc I'm using a female character ;-;
Ah, yes. I'm back now. *nods* *nods at Lantern*
I did go for dinner.
It was . . . dinner-y.
Rather like a dinner, in fact. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
@Leila: Well, I use Hunter and he's male. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
BACK! I went to eat food. Sorry,
*bounces up and down*
*starts singing wake me up*
*looks at her coffin*
*smiles at the irony and continues singing*
Dinner was like a dinner? O_O
Wb Tempest!
Hello Fabster! How are you?
Uh
Something I've never asked is;
Where exactly is Blogland? Is it it's own planet? A country? In a country? It's own universe?
Does anyone know?
Fabster? Haven't heard that one in, like, a while. O_O
I'm absolutely rubbish, thank you! Yourself?
Well, I like to think of it as its own sort of level of reality, but I imagine other people might be opinionated to the contrary, so....
It is international territory, through. That seems to be generally accepted.
So, like,
It's own sustainable dimension?
Blogland is just...here. I think its its own country. An almost completely undiscoverd one. Except for the lucky few. And hey Reaper. What's with the new character?
@Leila: I believe it's a pocket dimension.
Some see it as a place, some see it as an alternative version of the world we know, and some see it as the story world we're in.
@Lantern: Something like that, yeah. O_O
Wb, Silente! :)
#ChaseForBookNine
Actually now I think about it its more like an alternate dimention...much like the real world but ours...
I'm fine thanks fabz. Why are you rubbish?
No, I see it as a dimension.
Just adding to the short story now. This is so damn gooooooooooood. I think Zaffy will like it since Ravel is in a band :3 I hope she reads it. They all have their own colour of tie for their suits :3
I just...have to put a Ghastly x Tanith moment in here, excuse me.
MAJOR FLIRTATIOUS SCENES AHEAD! ~Just a warning~
Whatever Hunter and Ez see it as (which is undefined - some of them is off-access to me, as my own brain is not developed enough to comprehend the details), it doesn't matter because, as they're from the future, it seems kind of like a different dimension anyway . . .
#ChaseForBookNine
Blogland is an alternative dimension, created from imagination, which is why Blogland just happens to have all the natural features and man-made landmarks that we require it to have at any given moment. From Blogland, we can travel to England, or America, or Russia, etc, but it's unclear as to wether or not those are 'in Blogland' or 'outside Blogland.'
Something like that...
It's so HOT out, and I can't complain about it, because it's not actually that bad, but for Seattle, for April especially. I couldn't sleep last night and now I have a bad headache.
*nods at Clara*
Hi, btw. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
@Lantern: :( *hugs*
I'm sorry.
#ChaseForBookNine
Hot? HOT?
Oh, what I would give for it to be hot outside! It is wet and rainy, miserable and dismal, muddy and foggy, and entirely disagreeable.
Hey Clara!
@Silente, she's for my new storyline.
The reason I ask about Blogland is,
My story takes place after World War III. Although there are no prawn people or games of death.
lol @ whoever is hot. It's 2:43 here in Sydney and it's 14°.
Sydney, ah, Sydney, land of the famous Opera house and the hometown of the infamous P. Sherman. How I wish to visit Sydney.
Oh she sounds interesting. Will she be interacting with the blogiands? Aka us.
@Clara: Yeah, I can empathise. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
Yes she will, Silente.
I thought it would be insanely cool if the earth that has been created from my story was the earth that was in our universe, but it's an extremely big ask and I don't expect it to happen. Maybe in another dimension.
I'll gladly trade weather with you, Annika. I don't enjoy it when it's 86F/30C out unless I can go swimming, which I can't.
And I hardly find rain disagreeable. It's relaxing, and helps me feel at home, and I can wear my favorite coat without being horribly uncomfortable.
Rain will make the flowers grow, but it won't cheer me up like a nice hot day would. Particularly since it's been raining for five days now. One or two days is one thing, but after three, I am ready for the sun to come out once more.
@Leila: That would collide with Hunter and Ez's timeline, anyway . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Maybe Blogland is better off being a pocket dimension. :P
I don't like rain.
It's cold and wet.
I don't like being cold or wet.
:P
I don't like being hot, either.
Ugh.
Heat.
#ChaseForBookNine
Rain isn't as nice when its the only weather you see 99% of the time. Its cold and soaks you. And the clouds look grey and grumpy. It makes everything darker. You get sick of it eventually.
(My fanfic is set before book 5, so Tanith is still...Tanith, just so you know *nods*)
Almost done!
She will? Yey. New person to meet and beat.
*nods*
What's her skills?
My favorite days are the autumn ones, when the air is crisp, cool, and clear, and leaves twirl around you and crunch under your boots like potato chips or the bones of your enemies.
Almost?! Yey!
I like spring, but almost only because of the blossoms on trees. I like making them rain on me. Its fun. And pretty. But otherwise and chose August. Its not too cold like in late autumn but its not warm like in mid summer.
Sun never really cheers me up. It makes me sweat, and often gives me migraines.
It's cloudy/rainy most of the time here, and I'm comfortable with it.
Beat? I don't think so.
She has the beauty of China Sorrows, yet has the speed and agility of a panther. She is trained in ballistics and weaponry, and is very witty.
Now before you guys go and call her overpowered, remember that she has pretty much no magical abilities whatsoever. Remember that.
*blinks*
Hullo, Alastair. Charming as ever, I see.
Ello Alastair! How're you?
*smiles at him*
*waves wildly*
Oh, no no.
The speed and agility she owns is not one that can be matched.
Let's have some fun.
-I turn, seeing Alastair-
Hello, good sir. May I ask who you are?
*uncertain of what do do now*
*begins polishing the name-plate from my desk*
*CLARA CROWLEY, MANAGER*
I'm pretty sure Hunter and Ez can beat her on speed, but yeah. :P
*not really here*
#ChaseForBookNine
[Bitter laugh]
[Is not on the roleplay plane of existence]
[Will probably disappear entirely from Blogland soon]
Done Silente! and any of you who wishes to read my new short story:
'The Dead Men Live'
It's up now.
BBS!
Oh, don't be that way, Moss. Your loss would be mourned by all.
Moss
your loss
would weigh like an albatross
around
the neck
of destiny.
(All I ask is to have the speed that no one else can beat, that is all. I have no magic.)
I didn't mean permanently. Sorry...
Unfortunately, it's really hard to just leave somewhere you've been going almost every day for over a year.
But I will have to leave soon. Sorry again...
Thanks for the poem...
I'll probably have to read your story later, sorry Chi.
Did Alastair disappear..
I could've written a better one had I time and a thesaurus.
And yes, Leila, I believe he has vanished. Alistair is wont to do that.
Probably. He doesn't like to fight people just because they want to. And Aretha's likely in school.
Yeah, Ari doesn't like to stick around much.
I still remember when my good friend Dylan fought Nagier Ryn. Very fun times.
I wouldn't say that, exactly, but she is really busy and usually can't stay long.
Baaaaaack! The story was good Chi!
Oh, I wasn't trying to make it sound like Ari doesn't like being around us. I understand that things can get busy.
She does get incredibly busy.
*dances around her echo stone*
My, it has grown quiet.
I do so agree Clara. Very quiet. Its scary,
So quiet.
*whispers* I feel like we should be whispering.
-I fire my pistol into the air-
That's how you break silence.
*stops dancing*
*whispers back*
I agree!
*the greyhounds are loosed from their stations at the sound of the pistol, and they begin to run around a track*
Goodness, Leila, look what you've started.
Silente, could you comment on it, saying what you really think? it would be appreciated! ^.^
*glares at the shot*
That was loud.
*sighs*
*sings and dances*
Wake me up. Wake me up inside. Can't wake up. Wake me up and s- Save me! Call my name and save me from the dark. Wake me up. Bid my blood to run. Can't wake up. Before I come undone. Save me! Save me from the nothing I've become!

-I move to the track, grabbing part of it and ripping it off, allowing the greyhounds out-
Let's have some fun!
*blinks twice*
. . .
*puts on a pair of noise-cancelling headphones*
*the greyhounds storm the lobby*
*I clap my hands twice*
*they skid to a halt*
*I point at the sign on the wall*
*NO GREYHOUNDS*
*they leave, their tails drooping a little*
Omg this short story isn't really short... it's my longest post cause of all the conversation O.O
That comment better?
Honest question. This dp, is it scary?
No fun.
I do not know. Is it meant to be?
Yes, it is kinda scary.
And Silente, I want to ask you some things about the short story, should I ask you here or on the post?
*they greyhounds run rampant through the streets, biting people, knocking grandmothers over, and graffitiing public property*
Well not really. I know its not considered a happy cheery thing but it was a random quick sketch of how someone puts on a fake face to hide the disaster they feel they are inside.. but then I realised a may be considered disturbing...
*the
@Silente: I don't think excessively so. :) It's cool, though. :O
@Leila: Well, I don't know. You know my characters have superspeed, yes? They can move so fast they teleport.
When they're not using etherenergy, though, she'll be faster than them. :)
Sorry I poofed, writing! D:
#ChaseForBookNine
Wherever Chi.
*the greyhounds charge through town, singing Voltaire's "When You're Evil" and chasing cats up trees*
I don't know.
I've read about Aladra making out for seven hours, though, so I'm probably fine. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
*checks watch*
I must go.
*goes*
bye Clara
Alright. Because I may be very good at writing these scenes. obviously not from experience... >.<
the Guild Hunter Series I'm reading had so many scenes in just the first book! and the other two I read. Not so much the 2nd cause it was more plot and a big battle.
Is that your only question?
Ok, another question:
Silente, do you agree with the colours I chose for their ties? because they're all the colours I associate with the characters.
I haven't even had a boyfriend yet so haha. XD
#ChaseForBookNine
I've had...quite a few... but it's not because I'm like...a slut or anything... ;-; im just horrible with guys...
So maybe a lighter blue for Dexter? maybe sky blue? and it's not bright green for Anton, I knew he would suit a darker colour so it was a dark green.
Same Chi. I've had quite a few. Doesn't make you a slut.
Yeah maybe a Lighter Blue. As for the green I thought it was a bright one. The dark green sounds like him though.
I wouldn't have said those colours - but, of course, different colours mean different things to different people. Like me and Lantern both see letters as different colours, but we see them as different colours to each other.
*often sorts out word art colour schemes by the colours of letters and words :P*
Colours symbolise different things to different people.
#ChaseForBookNine
What colours would you have chosen for each of them, Star?
And I'm glad someone else would think the same colours as me. That means Silente see their personalities as the same colours too. *high fives her*
*high fives Chi back*
Well much as I hate to critizise you forgot the bass..
I've always thought of Ghastly as purple for whatever reason. Possibly because that's the color of his name...
*thinks about it*
I don't know, it depends how you think about it.
. . .
Crap.
The problem is, I don't know many of them well enough, so I can't really sum up their personality in my mind very well, and it's hard to kind of find a colour, especially when the feeling of the colour keeps changing and shifting. D:
Ravel - I always think red when I think of him, because his name begins with a capital R. Come on. I think he possibly is red, as well, although it's a kind of . . . he's kind of the red of my red felt tip, so it isn't . . . it's a kind of smooth red, although that's not what I mean.
. . .
*is wondering the point of saying any of this, because it's not like I'm speaking English :P*
Anton could have been dark green, yes. *nods* *blinks*
Saracen - his first name is a yellow word, a kind of brownish yellow in a way, but orange-y as well because of that 'c', and his surname is red. So it might take me a while to think past thought colours.
. . .
I don't know, for Saracan.
. . .
Damn.
. . .
This is why Hunter has fixed eye colours for each emotion. -_-
*yells at colours* JUST STAY STILL A MOMENT!
I think he's kind of what grey represents, but he isn't grey, so that doesn't make sense.
*blinks*
He is purple, actually.
XD
#ChaseForBookNine
I don't see Ghastly as a dark colour. His name is, but I just... I don't see him, as a person, as purple.
I prefer Saracen as purple.
@Lantern: I see 'G' as purple and grey . . .
I wouldn't have picked Skulduggery for drums, but playing with his bones is cool, yes. :)
And - @Chi: 'The one on guitar is usually hot' - that's rather stereotypical. I think the one on guitar should be the one who rocks at guitar. :P
What kind of guitar, though?
What kind of music were they playing?
#ChaseForBookNine
I know it's inconvenient, them both being purple, but that's just how it is. :P
Dark purple just fits Ghastly. He is dark, in a way. He's been through a lot of shit in his life, and he just likes sitting in a corner - in a tailorshop, which is dark and smooth - and . . .
I forgot what I was saying.
And I don't think - I don't think he's innocent, in a way.
And I don't think he's very light-hearted.
And idk.
I was thinking of him in the beginning of LSODM.
#ChaseForBookNine
@star how do you get colours from a name? *looks at own name* *well by own name I mean Silente Tempest not Echo Tempest* how?
Actually that's a good point with Ghastly on keyboard. I didn't think of it like that. I though Dexter and Sacren for bass and guitar because they always seem joking and funny and*le blush* *mumbles* hot.. skulduggery I though because of his 'velvety voice' *shrugs* I don't know really,
Skulduggery's name is sort of yellow/orange/brown
Ravel's is red
Saracen's is reddish-orange
Dexter's is yellow-orange
Anton's is blue-black
Rock.
Dexter was on lead guitar.
Am I the only one who doesn't get colours from names?!
@Silente: Yeah . . . Skulduggery's velvety voice. :)
@Silente: Because letters are just different colours. D:
It's hard to explain.
#ChaseForBookNine
Yeah I understand the lights are different but...what colours my name?
Hello.
Hey Dragona.
I see the vowels as really light colours. And S, and C, stuff like that.
I see Chione as a pale blue.
Asahina... I would say purple, maybe red...
G is purple for me.
Silente is a light yellow for me. Tempest is more sunset orange-with-a-little-pink. And they're just there. They're just associations. Probably different for Star, though. :-P
Chione is green for me, a light green. Asashina is darker, but green as well.
*attempts to see colours from peoples names*
@Chi: What kind of rock?
(Crap. :P Sorry.)
(It's just rock is such a wide genre.)
What kind of guitar, actually?
Was it, like, kind of beat-y, or was it kind of solo-y?
(I'm sorry! D:)
(You can ignore me if you want. :P)
@Silente: Well, you can thing of more than one thing at once! You're cool!
@Lantern: I agree with Ravel and mostly with Saracen, when his surname is included. Dexter's name begins with D, so it's green, but it's kind of grey as well. It's hard, though, because when I start thinking about it, I start seeing all the individual colours of the letters and my vision kind of falls apart . . . :P
Skulduggery's name starts off yellow and kind of goes darker at the end. Murky, in a way.
Pleasant is purple, though. :)
Anton's name is kind of light green. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
Fabi, I see your name as green. But I can also see it being yellow.
Although is kind of reminds me of windows in a house, though. You know, it's an old house, and it's dark, and this bright yellow light is shining out from the windows, almost blocking out the dark edges of the house around them.
. . .
I have no idea where that's coming from. :P
You can't look too closely, though, or you miss it.

@Silente: Really?
Ink is definitely red. :P Dark red, kind of.
They look different when you put them together. :)
Star Inkbright is red and yellow. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
I see Star as a pinky colour too Silente, even though stars are usually seen as yellow or orange.
Inkbright, I also agree. dark blue/purple
*nods at Chi*
Personalities is better. :)
@Silente: *nods*
I know what you mean.
I don't like fitting in, but I do.
(I'm so contradictory. D:)
But yeah . . . I think.
And - yeah. :/ I like to think I'm different and special. Once this boy said to me that I liked to think I was all special, being different, but really I was just this sad little loser and didn't realise it.
Possibly that's true.
It's a rather interesting thought, in any case.
#ChaseForBookNine
Yey Chi agrees! I don't know why Star is pinky it just...is. But a hard to describe pinky colour.
@Silente: I know . . . *nods*
I can remember that in year one, most of the playground was lining up to get oranges, and I didn't want to, because everyone else liked oranges and I didn't want to be one of Them, and my best friend lined up to get an orange and I was disappointed because she was one of Them as well. :(
This desire to not to mainstream has been in me for as long as I can remember and idek where it came from but it's here. :P

Fabi is probably grey and my light turquoise. :P
Huh. I found words like Star and Fabi a lot harder to colour when we had these discussions in the past, but now I can just light turquoise it. XD
I think my brain is adapting to my felt tips and pencils . . . I made two other references to them up there, although one is invisible.
#ChaseForBookNine
((Thanks Fabi, I know you won't hold it against me because your all too awesome for that. I'm just insanely insecure. :-) ))
@Silente: It's like . . .
You aren't grey because you don't see colours in words. I am more grey than you in other areas, and . . . meh. :P
