MERRRRRRRRRY CHRISTMAS!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas day, whether you celebrate it or not. I hope this day is fun and filled with laughter and that you spend it surrounded by friends and family.
And to set you on your way, here is the Twelve Days of Fandom video (actually two videos, because apparently Youtube can't handle that much editing in one go). Thanks to everyone who took part — it has taken up two days of my life putting all this together, but it was so worth it. Some of you can really sing! And some of you really CAN'T. The videos I saw were funny, sweet, genuine, wacky, impressive, silly, and some of them were downright CUTE (Melissa and her doggy — I mean COME ON!)
The lyrics were written by myself and Laura Jordan (not Valkyrie-Laura, but an awesome Laura just the same!) and it features a special appearance by one Miss Holly Smale.

I actually woke up early today . . . :P Well, I woke up at around eight. Compare that to ten and nine, and it seems early.
I was just thinking - if they made the Sequin Art pins half a centimetre shorter, imagine how my metal they would save. You get loads of pins in a set, and how many sets must they make? There are many different variations, and I am one person, and this is my fifth Sequin Art (in this lifetime).
They would then save money from having to buy less metal.

@Adra: Possibly. :P I doubt they'd read it, though. Plus many the pins would be more likely to fall out. Some are shorter than others, though. You get some that are freaks and are too long, but I've never had a pin that was too short, and it got me thinking.

(It's a bit like map reading, in a way. It reminds me of map reading, anyway, and I think maybe that's why I'm so good at map reading, because I spent my childhood doing Hama Beads.)

Lucozade is an energy drink, and it's red.. And there's like, Lucozade Energy which is the soft drink, and the Lucozade Sport which isn't fizzy and is used for sports and stuff. Like, you see all these ads with really big athletes in Ireland (mostly rugby players tbh) and they say like, "last longer, finish stronger".

In English, we've just started doing Romeo and Juliet, and Sir was asking us why he wasn't just letting us watch the movie (the one with Leonardo diCaprio in), and I said it was because Shakespeare created the play to mean certain things, and created the actions and the words to portray that meaning, and the movie had taken those words and actions and worked around them so they meant something different, and that Sir didn't want us analysing the wrong meaning.
Sir: *gives me that look people give me when they have no clue what I'm on about* Yes.
My thoughts: FOR FUCK'S SAKE YOU'RE AN ENGLISH TEACHER YOU'RE MEANT TO UNDERSTAND ANALYSIS.
It's like . . . and this is an example . . . in the play, they're all like "Put down your sword", and Shakespeare made them say this because he wanted the character to tell another character to put down his pointy stabby bit of metal, whereas in the film, they took the words "Put down your sword" and made the character say it the other character, but the character wasn't holding a sword, he was holding a gun that had been made by the make "Sword", so the sentence still applied, but the meaning was different.
I didn't say the example in the lesson, but I fully intend to write it down in my English book.

Hello, not here, but I wanted to post this comment I wrote earlier. There wasn't wifi before.
This might sound weird, but I was on the same flight as Fabi.
There was a group of college-age people behind me, all talking, except one girl was standing awkwardly at the edge of things, holding a notebook close to her chest. SHE LOOKED LIKE FABI. SERIOUSLY.
This girl not only had Fabi's face, dressed like Fabi (the shirt and boots, anyway) and shared Fabi's quiet presence, but when I looked over to her part of the plane, she was always writing in a notebook and FABI DOES THAT, and she twisted her hair around the same way Fabi does, and fidgeted, and then I had this moment, like whoa, this girl is more like Fabi then I am. Especially since she appeared to be traveling by herself. I mean, I guess that sounds silly, I don't know her and was trying not to look at her very much because that would be a bit creepy.
So instead I focused on the back of the seat in front of me, and couldn't help overhearing the conversation between the young woman in front of me and the old couple next to her. I think my brain must have been in find-character mode, because the way she sounded kind of rough and a tad overconfident but good-hearted at the same time reminded me of Liz. And then I realized that she was someone I'd stood behind in line earlier, and she looked like Liz as well. Even though she wasn't wearing a hoodie, I could totally picture Liz in her outfit, especially since she was right in front of me. And then I got out the iPad and played Trainyard for a while, because I was starting to feel like a creepy person watching people. So after that, I only glanced at them occasionally, and then I'd freak out because they were acting so much like my characters and eeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I should probably mention, Liz had the seat in front of me, but Fabi was across the aisle, near Dad (who couldn't sit with me, Mom and Nel because there were three seats on each side). So I could look out the window, at or through the seat in front of me, or in the direction of Fabi. Looking behind me wasn't something I could do for a while, because uncomfortableness. So it's not like I was trying to watch these people, there just wasn't much to do. Oh, except work on Mara's Christmas present, version B. I brought plenty of stuff to do on the plane, I just didn't feel like doing any if it. It was too vibration-y to do anything worthwhile mostly.
Anyway, we landed and people started getting off, and Liz exited first because she was a row in front of us, and then my family went, and then Fabi and this woman in a white shirt who snores really loudly. Right. She's irrelevant (sorry).
So in the terminal, a bit ahead of us, Liz stops and adjusts her backpack, and then Fabi passes us and catches up to her, and they don't exchange words but just walk towards the baggage claim together, and I realized OHMYGOSH, THEYRE SISTERS. 'Cause they hadn't entered the plane together or sat together, though they did look alike, and Liz was just the right amount shorter than Fabi. Also, the way they did the stop and catch up, then proceed efficiently thing reminded me of them being on some sort of mission. And then they picked up their luggage and left the airport, and I don't know where they went after that, because I didn't follow them. I'm not quite that creepy.

Maybe . . . maybe you got the ideas for Fabi and Liz by seeing the Fabi and Liz on the plane through the layers of reality, and it's a strong point in your life as you had such a reaction from seeing them, so that kind of bled back through the layers and you got your idea for Fabi and Liz from them, except you didn't know it was them, you were just sort of glimpsing them . . . or other version of them, because there are many versions of people as they all look different though different layers, like looking through Quality Street wrappers . . .
It's like in Doctor Who. "You named your daughter after your daughter?"

It's events like you that, and like my friend dreaming the future (seriously, she did. Don't even try to tell me she didn't, because she did), and they just kind of through this cover off things, and there's this moment when you realise the world is fantastic and mysterious and everything strange and wonderful and magical that doesn't belong in the logical confines of today, you suddenly have that moment where it's there, it does belong, and it seems out of place but you have to remember that it's there all along. Like, when you play peek-a-boo with a baby, when you cover your head up, they think you've not there, and when you uncover it . . . to them, you've appeared out of nowhere.
And we're like that young baby, in a way. Just because we can't see it, we think it isn't there . . .

Sorry I poofed; I was listening to music (which I stopped paying attention to because thoughts), doing Sequin Art (which I finished. I'll show you a picture of the Sequin Art corner of my room, if you want. It's pretty), and planning what I'm going to write in the acknowledgments of my first book, which is an activity I have planned in my head many, many times, despite the fact I'm probably never going to publish a book. :P
Maybe the fact that I'm just going to natter on for pages about music and internet friends that I've never met (although hopefully by that point I will have met a few more of you) is rather sad, but then again, I will have written a book. That's one awesome thing in my life.
(That said, I haven't actually written a book.)
(But I will have by the time I'm writing the acknowledgements.)
In the first sentence though, I'm going to put "I've never actually seen an author go on for pages and pages in the acknowledgements, which seems to suggest that you shouldn't, but screw you, there's not a law against it, and if there is, I'll break it, because I may not be Hunter, but he's in my head and that's close enough."
