My Christmas tree is up. It actually went up a few weeks ago. It's not a REAL Christmas tree. I mean, it's real ENOUGH. It's not IMAGINARY. If you threw it at someone, it'd hit them. But it's made from assorted plastics and stuff. Also it's black. It looks awesome, but lacks that Christmas tree smell. But I don't mind that. My folks have a real Christmas tree up, and that's where Christmas happens anyway, so who cares if my house doesn't smell of pine needles? Not me. Not really.
Not... really...
Anyway, yes, the tree. It's up. The presents are bought. They're not wrapped, but they're bought. Most of them. Okay, I haven't a clue what to get my dad, but he's a dad. He'll be happy with socks. Fathers are simple creatures.
So... tree up. Presents bought. These are things I set aside time to do, because I needed to set aside time. I've been so busy lately that if I hadn't set aside this time, I just wouldn't get around to it. There are loads of things I just didn't have time for, like sending out Christmas cards. I love sending out cards. I try to combine it with answering all the letters from readers, so when I send off a reply, they get a Christmas card too. How lovely! But not this year. Answering all those letters, sending all those cards, would take two days at a minimum, and they are two days I can't afford to take off writing.
The writing is going well, by the way. I've been focussing on short stories these last three weeks, building up quite a collection of new stuff. Each of these stories will be told in a different "voice" than the one you're used to. You'll see what I mean when you read them.
One thing that I haven't decided on yet are the Christmas Skype calls I was planning on making. Essentially, I was going to take an hour one day and just fit as many three-minute Skype calls into that hour as I could. It seemed like a lovely idea at the time, but I'm not so sure anymore. Not everyone who wanted a call would be available on that hour, and so I'd have to field quite a few complaints. Then there'd be the people who'd want a one-on-one chat, when I'd only be comfortable chatting if there were two or more people in the room with you. Basically, my idea would end up causing a whole lot of hassle that I could really do without, so I just don't know.
Okay then, enough jibber-jabber. I have work to do.
Be cool, my Minions.

I wouldn't know..
@Adra: They died in the future. I mean, in the future from when you know them here. Which is in the future to when I write about them in my story, and THAT'S in the future to nowadays.
So I'm not sure why I'm upset about the fact that they'll die several hundred years in the future, because everyone has to die someday. I might as well get upset about you dying, Adra, because you will sometime in your life.
It's knowing how, I suppose.
And then my friend told me about this book where this girl, when she touched people, saw how they were going to die.
Which, you know, sounds awesome. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
*is watching roleplay, btw :) :)*
#ChaseForBookNine
Alexis: I dunno why either! I mean I'm just dizzy and all.
(That would be awful, to know how everyone dies and- I see...
I still think about how Adra would die. I, truthfully, don't know yet, although I have thought of multiple scenarios.
((Mom: My phone! Has anyone seen my phone?
((Me: I...last saw it on the...kitchen table
((Mom: [Doesn't hear me 'cause I have no voice] [Calls her phone] [It's on the kitchen table]
((Me: Mmf. [Retreats back to Blogland]
((I once lost my glasses.
I was wearing them.))
((That's happened to me, too, actually, only with my retainer.))
(I always feel a bit stupid afterward, the it's hilarious.
I once lost something. Turns out I was holding it
I was, coincidentally, my glasses.)
((Ah.))
((Wbd, making more Little Mix collage-y things!))
You know what I want to do?
I want to just go live somewhere far away from society that has electricity and just live there talking to my online friends and ranting about my imaginary ones and being antisocial.
And that would sort of be my dream life.
*nods*
Although . . . I would have to get money to pay the electricity bills. :/
Other than that, I'd be fine. I mean, I could grow my own food (bear in mind, I don't know HOW to grow food. That could be a fun adventure) and dig a well for water (or something) and, like, yeah. :) :)
Maybe I could make cards or something and sell them.
Hmm.
How much money do you need to pay electricity bills?
I could . . . um . . .
I could write stories, I suppose. *nods uncertainly* I'm not very good at writing.
Then again, sometimes I just read these books and I'm like "Well, if THAT managed to be a bestseller, I should be absolutely fine" and feel all confident and then I remember YOU SHOULD NOT JUST WRITE BOOKS TO GET AN AUDIENCE YOU SHOULD WRITE THEM FOR THE SAKE OF THEM and then I'm like well screw that then.
But even if I can't write stories awesome enough to be awesome
then I'm pretty sure I could write well enough to pay electricity bills
and that's a noble enough cause, for me. :)
Hmm. Do I need gas? "Gas and electric" seem to come in the same sentence, but do I REALLY need gas? Can't I just screw central heating and huddle under several piles of blankets when it gets cold?
(but what if I live somewhere quite cold?)
(if I'm planning to be an outcast from society, I can't exactly rely on society to save me from dying of coldation)
(ah)
(maybe I do need gas)
(FINE)
Anyway. What else do I need?
I can get basic kitchen appliances like washing machines either from the previous owner of the house or, if they break down, for birthday and Christmas presents. :) :) :)
(OH WAIT. I've just realise, of course I need gas! I need hot water! *facepalm*
And also, you can't exactly take a shower under an enormous pile of blankets.
Well, you could try, but it would get a bit annoying after a while.
OKAY, GAS IS DEFINITELY NEEDED.)
Okay. What else?
Oh, I need a laptop to talk to you people on.
*points to laptop in front of me* I HAVE A LAPTOP.
Ahhhhkay, that's settled. :)
I will need books, but I have books already, and I can buy them from the internet. Do the deliver to random houses in the middle of nowhere?
Hmm.
If they don't, I may need to drive into town once a month.
Oh, shit.
I NEED MONEY TO BUY BOOKS.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Oh, wait. I can just drive into town once a month to go to the library!!! And get the occasional book for my birthday!!!!
DAMN, I am really liking this plan. :) :)
You know, I actually really, really want to do this.
I do.
I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. :) :)
#ChaseForBookNine
Damn!
If I'm relying on birthday and Christmas presents, I will have to buy birthday and Christmas presents for other people and also I will have to pay the postage for that!
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH YOU MEAN PEOPLE STOP STEALING MY MONEY.
Plus I will have to CONTACT people on Christmas and birthdays and WRITE THANK YOU NOTES and -
okay, fine
No one shall know where I live expect you awesome online people, so nobody can send me anything, and I won't send anything to them (apart from when I really want to) and I will just buy my own books and domestic appliances.
Okay. :)
@Adra: I've never known exactly how a protagonist will die before. :/
And - *hugs* :) You're amazing. :) :)
#ChaseForBookNine
Plus, if I have my own house in the middle of nowhere, I can walk around in circles and no one will be there to tell me not to!
I might start crying, now, actually, because I want to go and live in a house in the middle of nowhere and be an outcast form society so much.
#ChaseForBookNine
[hugs Starrrrrarararar]
The Blogland community is the place for you, Star :3
*hugs*
Hmmm . . .
There is a flaw in my plan.
At some point, I need to travel across the world to see you people, and I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to manage THAT.
*scowls in annoyance*
. . . How about you all just come visit me instead? ;)
#ChaseForBookNine
@Adra: I know. :) :) *hugs*
*hugs Lantern*
I want to go and do it NOW, though. :(
NOW, NOW!
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WAIT.
HEY PEOPLE.
HEY HEY.
I should buy solar panels and put them on the roof!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I SHOULD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Environmentally friendly AND you don't have to buy electricity!!!
*dances*
(The only flaw with that is that they are massively expensive.)
(HOWEVER, I could borrow the money off the bank, and then pay it back with all my extra electricity.
Because when people have solar panels, they generate too much electricity for them to need and so they pay it back to the Grid and get money.)
OH YEAH.
#ChaseForBookNine
*starts looking up solar panels on the internet*
#ChaseForBooKNine
Oh my gosh :3
When I go to England, I'll see you, Star.
Did you know you can get FREE solar panels????
I think it depends on where you live, though . . .
. . . and to get them, you have to have your roof facing the right way and stuff . . .
#ChaseForBookNine
(As I said- Blogland warehouse :3)
Excuse me... *She brushes past the two from he restroom, and runs for her room, shutting the door and flopping onto her bed*
@Adra: But I might not be living in England when I live in the middle of nowhere and be an outcast from society! :O
But yes. :) *hugs*
When I journey across the world to see my blogfriends, I will see you. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
Anyway, my house requirements:
- In the middle of nowhere.
- No extremely extreme extremities of weather (like, NOT TOO HOT).
- Preferably no fatal wildlife.
- Roof that can contain solar panels.
- Big enough surrounding land to grow food on.
I think that's about it. :)
Now, which country should I live in?
#ChaseForBookNine
(You should live in....
Uhm.
Not America.)
Revolution Number Nine is freaky... o.o
and even freakier backwards
oh and HAI :P
I'm not really here buuuuutttttt hai anyways :P
(Hi/Bye Jubi?? *hugs*)
Hey Jubi! :) :) :)
@Adra: *frowns* But America has a lot of the correct weather requirements (okay, sometimes it's too hot, but) and I speak the language plus I know people who live in America (like, you) . . .
Then again
WHY DO I NEED TO SPEAK THE LANGUAGE WHEN I AM AN OUTCAST FROM SOCIETY?
(because I need to go to the library)
(left. yes.)
However, it could be quite nice to go live in a random foreign country in Europe. :) I like the sound of Norway and Denmark.
#ChaseForBookNine
(Juuuuuuubi!
*Theres a knock and Jar walks in*
Jar: Um Madame, the candidates wish to have a word with you. They seem to be upset.
*Elizabeth rolled her eyes*
Elizabeth: Christ what is wrong now?
Ok I'm actually here...
heh ok
HAI ADRA AND STAR!! *Supermegatacklehugsofdoom*
Australia is too hot. *nods*
#ChaseForBookNine
ZAF!!!! EM!!! *Supermegatacklehugsofdoom*
HAII!
*watching roleplay, Em :)*
Hey Jubi! :)
#ChaseForBookNine
(STAR COME LIVE WITH ME!!)
*Shuts her eyes, curling with her bear*
I might want to live by a woods or something so I can go and walk around in it . . . plus it sounds nice. :)
AND THEN I DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE KIND OF PEOPLE YOU SEE AT SCHOOL EVER AGAIN.
AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT BEING JUDGED.
AND YOU'RE FREE, YOU'RE LIBERATED. :)
(Then again, how are you meant to form amazingly philosophical theories on society when you don't experience society? And also, running away from the things you dislike isn't really helping you like them.)
*sighs*
I guess my plan is off. :(
#ChaseForBookNine
@Adra: I want to. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
America does NOT have the correct weather requirements... O.O
THE WEATHER IS GETTING SO WONKY THAT IT'S REALLY SCARY
it's literally 10 degrees F outside right not which is like -12C according to this weather thingy
and yesterday it was 32F which is like 10ish C
AND ON FRIDAY IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE 60F WHICH IS LIKE 20ISH C AND IT'S NOT GOOD AT ALL BECAUSE GLOBAL WARMING UUGGHH
yeah
*amazing
#ChaseForBookNine
OOH YOU COULD LIVE WITH ME COZ I'M CLOSER TO THE EAST COAST THAT ADRA IS SO THE FLIGHT WOULD BE SHORTER >:)
*Than
@Jubi: Well, for one thing, you only live in a tiny portion of America. For another thing, that sounds cool. For a third thing, awww. :(
And what I meant is - it isn't necessarily too hot (when you live kind of nothernlyer) and that's really all I'm bothered about.
I have experienced enough heat for one lifetime. *nods*
#ChaseForBookNine
Alexis: it'll be about us....(msd
(OKAY NO IT WAS -7 LAST NIGHT DON'T TALK TO ME JUBI :P)
@Jubi: *laughs* :) Valid reason. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
Star! You should live with me! I have literally always wanted to live in the middle of nowhere in the forest in Iowa, like I do in roleplay. I know a town so small it's not on the map, and there are so few people, which is good for me because people won't complain about my future electrical experiments. The summers are hot and the winters are cold, but that's another part of the reason I want to live there. And there's tons of farmland, and my whole family is farmers, so we could easily grow food!
#ChaseForBook9
(I live closer to NYC besides Ari maybe
(Althoguh, JUbi, that does sound IMMENSELY wonky, your weather. O_O)
#ChaseForBookNine
YEAH BUT THAT WAS LAST /NIGHT/
It's 10 right now but it was FREEEEEEZING last night
like, there was ice on the windows this morning and it was INSIDE the house no on the outside
it was cold
(Okay thats scary I just mentioned Ari and she comments ARETHA TESLA ARE YOU STALKING ME? (JK)
@Ari: ARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) I SHOULD LIVE WITH YOU!
(Plus, IOWA. That's where Slipknot are from. AND THEY HAVE A SONG CALLED IOWA IN AN ALBUM CALLED IOWA AND okay you've won my over :P)
Brb, dinner.
#ChaseForBookNine
*Elizabeth follows Jar into the wreck room where all the candidates were standing and talking to themselves.
A girl walked forward to Elizabeth as they all became quiet*
Girl: Why didn't you tell us there was someone here with silver?! We all could have died!!
Elizabeth: Now you are all over reacting. There is no risk to any of you and I wouldn't have brought Lorcan in here if any of you are in danger.
Paul: He's poisoned with silver Madame! And he's still alive!!! Who knows how contagious his strain is. We're all at risk.
(COME TO CINCINNATI.
ALL THE OTHERS ARE SILLY
CINCY IS WHERE IT'S AT.)
Literally I've always wanted pretty much everything Star had on that list, except the weather. I like extreme weather. But it's still not THAT extreme. And Ipwa just fits it all! But- maybe now, maybe in a few hours if I need to go- I'll talk about going to sea, and that's pretty epic, too. I want to live at sea for a few years.
#ChaseForBook9
(The Pocono Mountains are beautiful! We're a big tourist attraction here!
Also, there are plenty of caves in Iowa, so we could go caving.
#ChaseForBook9
(The sea is nice, but it gets boring after a while. I love the mountains :)
(Ari I want to visit Ireland. I always have. Want to meet NJ and Em and Derek and then go to England and see London and all that, I want to stand on Fleet Street to say I have.
gotta go :(
BAAIIII!!
(Bai Jubi
On Jeopardy last night they had a catagory Green Things and they did an arieal shot of Ireland
(Bye Jubi!!!)
*Pulls out her phone, and looks through her texts*
*Sees a specific one*
*Her eyes scan over it*
*Her heart stops in shock*
No...
Mountains are beautiful. :) :)
The sea is too, however. :) :)
I just don't like dying from the heat . . .
I would actually rather live in a cold place, I think.
ALTHOUGH . . . it hasn't been cold this year, not properly, so maybe if it had been, I would be reminded of how I dislike the cold and disagree.
I don't really dislike the cold, though. You can wear coats and huddle next to radiators and stuff.
But when it's hot . . . you just feel hot, and also, you can't use blankets. One of the things I dislike most about the summer is the lack of blankets.
Because our family have blankets that we use on the sofa, and I don't like watching TV without being able to huddle under a blanket.
But there are a lot of good things about the summer, too. When it's kind of not cold, and you can wear T-shirts and there's sun, but it's not too hot and there's a nice breeze and OHMYGOSH that's nice weather. :)
I want that weather, now . . .
But when it's too hot . . . urgh.
#ChaseForBookNine
I feel you- hot weather kills me. And I burn easily in the sun anyway, so...
Ayyyyy
I'm Deffo going to live in Estonia for a bit, though.)
I don't like the snow.
It's all cold and wet and after a while you just want to see the grass again.
The first day after the snow goes, and all the grass is coming through, I'm exclaiming over how GREEN it is and how BRIGHT and of course, the person I'm walking to school with will either be ignoring me or looking at me like I'm mad, but you know . . . :)
Then again, I always get excited when it starts snowing. It's beautiful, when it snows. I love it when it snows, all those flakes swirling down from the sky . . .
I suppose I do like the snow. :) I like it when it snows, and I like it when it goes. Ooh, rhyme.
The thing I dislike is when it gets all in your shoes and urgh.
And it's cold and wet.
Hunter likes the snow . . .
@Adra: You do that. :) :) :) *hugs*
#ChaseForBookNine
A while later...
[There's a knock at the lab door]
Rook: You may want to use a different face, Effie.
Effie: It's someone I've met?
Rook: [Pauses] It's someone you probably hate, and I'm sure it's mutual. [Goes to answer the door]
Effie: Well. [Her hair lengthens into blonde dreadlocks and her face shifts] [Her outfit turns into a tank top, blue skinny jeans and a lot of dangly jewelry] Hey, Liz. How do I look?
Liz: [Mouth twitches slightly, but is otherwise unresponsive]
Effie: [Would actually be looking worried if not for the illusions] Liz.... Are you...alive in there?
Silence.
Rook returns, followed by a scowling brunette in what looks like a school uniform. He glances at Liz, his generally emotionless face flickering briefly in worry.
Liz: [Stonily] Faeris.
Brunette (Faeris): Liz. Nice to see you again. [Her tone is one of reluctant respect] I'll help you out, but don't expect me to do it again, understood? [She pulls out a vial of blood-red liquid and a syringe] Where's Ioux?
*watching roleplay, Lantern. :) :) :)*
*and Effie is awesome, btw. :)*
#ChaseForBookNine
(I WILL, STAR!
And I might want to live in the Middle East for a little while... Greece? Italy? Mmmm...)
(Man. IOUX.)
My dad wants to go to Italy . . .
He's wanted to for years.
My brother doesn't want to go because he's scared of the volcanos. XD
#ChaseForBookNine
(They aren't that scary. Although Etna was smoking a bit when we were in Sicily.)
@Adra: I think he's just afraid one will erupt on us. :P
Awww. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
(Precious :p
You know, I think I just thought of something for Adra
OHMIGOD
OHMIGOD
see Em and I were talking about this
But
OHMIGOD
THIS CAN WORK
*begins to dance*)
@Adra: . . .
Yay?
:)
#ChaseForBooknien
My fingers seem to enjoy typing 'nien' as opposed to 'Nine'. *facepalm*
Sometimes, I correct it . . .
#ChaseForBookNine
(The German in you!!
Omg Trip's going to kill me lol.
Whatevs.)
Liz: [Gestures towards the sofa, where Ioux is, his skin still purple from the poison]
Faeris: Hey, I remember this. I taught him that poison. How'd you get it to work on him, though? If you know how it works, it basically does nothing, and he knew alright.
Rook: I have several theories for that. If you work quickly, I might share them.
Faeris: Of course. Strictly business as always, Charon. Huh. [Pours the red liquid into the syringe and injects it into Ioux] [Suddenly notices Effie] Hey, who's that?
Effie: I'm Fayla, but you can call me Fifi.
Faeris: Fifi. Right. [Pulls out another vial, this time of a green liquid] You do know that's stupid, right? You're lucky I'm too busy to kill you.
Effie: Oh.
"No" in German is "nein." :P
And - no, he won't kill you.
Hunter will kidnap you.
Sort of.
(Sorry, I poofed a bit, there. :/)
#ChaseForBookNine
@Lantern: *laughs*
#ChaseForBookNine
(FIFI
that is adorable)
(I know, Star :P
I really want to know what plan B is though.)
Toughhhhhhhhh. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
(When can I find outtttttttt)
Although, trust me, it's not very exciting. :)
#ChaseForBookNine
(SO)
YOU CAN FIND OUT WHEN YOU FIND OUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.
(I don't know. It depends on how things flow.)
(Plus if he knew you really wanted to find out he'd probably go to lengths to make you NOT find out, even though you might get killed as a result of him trying to make you not find out, which would be all your fault, of course.)
#ChaseForBookNine
(I dont think I could do anything to Lexi simply because Em doesnt speak to me
(Oh right. My fault. Sure.
*rolling eyes a lot*
Grrrrr
FINE
WELL
YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIND YOU WHAT THE THING I SAID WAS
HA))
. . . I don't have to find me what the thing you said was?
#ChaseForBookNine
(*out
Dammit.)
. . .
Okay.
(I'm sorry, school must be rubbing off on me already. That just seems like the appropriate response.)
#ChaseForBookNine
(Ofc :P)
(Merph... I might go write out a bit of the adventureeee)
((@Adra: Okay. :) :) :)))
((It's a pity this werewolf plot is kind of collapsing because of online-coming-on times. :/ It's a good one.))
#ChaseForBookNine
(I know, right?
Grr... Damn timezones.)
((TIMEZONES SHOULD BE EXTERMINATED.))
((But don't tell that to Hunter. I don't think trying to exterminate timezones would work out very well.))
#ChaseForBookNine
Make the world flat.
Faeris: You lot might not want to be here when he wakes up. The first twenty-four hours are...debatable.
Effie: What's that supposed to mean?
Faeris: You might want to keep your mouth shut in case I change my mind about not killing you.
Effie: Fine. Be that way.
Faeris: [Turns to Rook] The memory potion takes about twenty-four hours to set in. Which means he shouldn't see any of you. A tiny pinprick could be enough to break the wall while it's still weak like this. That clear enough
Rook: [Nods]
Faeris: Great. I'll just be on my way, then. [Starts to leave] [Pauses] Unless you want me to watch him for you, make sure everything works.
Rook: That won't be necessary.
Faeris: Of course not. [Leaves]
(Hahah yeah flat world
Effie and Rook glance around and suddenly notice Liz is no longer in the room.
(OH HOT DAMN)
Homework doneee
(Hallo Mara! Woohoo! *hugs*)
Hey Mara! :)
@Adra: But then you could fall off the edge of it. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
Sorry, sorry, sorry
I am back. I had to have dinner and then get Ciaran to bed. I'm here now.
So will I post my last comment again and continue from there or???
((Yay, Mara!))
(YEah so Star u wanna fight me :P
(Joking))
*Adra eventually makes her way after Elizabeth*
@Adra: I DO NOT NEED TO FIGHT. I HAVE A GET-OUT-OF-ARGUMENTS-FREE PASS THAT AUTOMATICALLY MAKES ME WIN ALL ARGUMENTS BECAUSE I AM A BUBBLE AND I AM AWESOME.
#ChaseForBookNine
(omg)
Boy: I will not stay here just to be silver poisoned!
Girl: Me neither!
Paul: Madame, you know this is our home. We can't have Lorcan stay here anymore, he's too much of a risk to keep around. He could infect us all.
Elizabeth: Why don't you trust my word when I say he's not contagious?
Paul: Because he should be dead!!!
Girl2: All you're interested in is another science experiment Madame!
*Another boy starts weeping softly*
Boy2: I don't wanna die...
((Emmmmm! D:))
#ChaseForBookNine
((D':))
*Adra walks in, surveys the scene*
Oi, you ninnies!
*Shakes her head sadly* Lorcan isn't contagious. He won't hurt you, anyways. I can promise you that, in the very very VERY small chance he loses a bit of control, I will gladly lay down my life before he gets to you all, right?
*Firmly* Lorcan deserves as much of a chance as any of you. He doesn't need to be kicked out. He needs help. Support. And you all are being idiots and making him feel isolated.
Alexis: *stays by Lorcan*
Paul: There has never been a wolf alive to survive silver!!!! That makes him isolated alone. We don't know what his silver poison could be like, he could pass it on!
*A murmer from the crowd sounds like agreement for Paul's arguement*
*Lorcan opens his eyes and gasps again like he's been pulled from water after almost drowning. He splutters as well*
((THANK you, Adra. :)))
#ChaseForBookNine
(Can I just take this opportunity to tell you all how much I love Disturbed?)
((EM! D:

( ) = sort of distant information, that isn't important, and I'm not really talking to anybody in particular.
YEAH.)
#ChaseForBookNine
*Gives Paul a look* How old are you? Eighteen?
Look. I'm a doctor, and have been for over 400 years, and above that, I'm an alchemist. I'm here to help Lorcan, and I will assure you that you all are completely safe, and I will not let any of you get hurt.
In the mean time, I'll be looking for a cure for Lorcan.
@Adra: O_O O_O
#ChaseForBookNine
Alexis: Lorcan?
( i know...
I'm going to have to do a chapter about that.)
*Lorcan gasps and splutters before reaching for Lexi*
Lorcan: Water... water...
Elizabeth: Now, I don't want to hear another idiotic theory about you all getting infected. It won't happen. Back to training to all of you.
*Everyone leaves except Paul*
*She crosses her arms* Right... This should be... Fun.
((IT'S ALWAYS PAUL. D:))
#ChaseForbooknine
(I want to hit Paul)
(He's our local hot head lol)
Elizabeth: Yes Paul?
Paul: You know this is un-natural Madame, that everything about him is un-natural. He could be jeopardizing all of us, our home. Why is he allowed stay and Cunningham wasn't?
Elizabeth: Cunningham killed 2 girls out of cold blood and then cried silver poison. There wasn't a trace within him or on him. Lorcan is different. He needs help, he needs a pack to support him and right now we are the only pack he has.
So, if you go to sea, like as a merchant seaman (my dad did this for 22 years, and my mom for 2- they met on a ship that I'm named after) you're basically just alone with the waves for months at a time. You have to work really hard in and out of ports, and sometimes on the ocean- my dad was once awake for three days in a row, working- but in between there are just long stretches of nothing. And you can see the stars properly. And you can see all sorts of amazing other things- my dad saw a moon rainbow once. And vacation days are equal to working days, so you get six months of vacation, and you can take it anywhere in the world, because you go everywhere in the world. My dad used to get off the ship, take the train into town, stay at the first hotel he saw, and wander about in the new country, living like the locals lived. And while you're at sea you don't have to pay any living expenses, so you can make a lot of money over time. My dad used to pick his favorite fabrics in Italy and bring them across the world to his favorite tailors, where they'd be made into bespoke suits. I'm wrapping this up now because I hate typing on touch screen keyboards. But basically, if you don't mind isolation and you want to see the world, going to sea is awesome.
#ChaseForBook9
Ah, sorry. I had to study :/
Paul, please. Shut up/
(Ay, the sea is lovely. I do love it in small doses. But I grew up with it, and have had a number of bad experiences with her as well, so..
Jellyfish experiences
*Shudder*
But I used to go out all the time with my dad. He once crashed into a sandbar with us, because he was drunk.
>.<
So yeah.
But the sea is wonderful sometimes.)
@Ari: That sounds beautiful. :) :) *hugs*
#ChaseForBookNine
(Cool Ari
That's fine, Maraness. :) *hugs*
#ChaseForBookNine
Alexis: *takes his hand* hey there
(Meera! WB!)
Paul: No!! He's a freak!
*Lorcan looks at Lexi and half smiles through the tiredness*
Lorcan: I had a dream about you. That you pulled me out of water cause I was drowning...
*Nods to Madame* I mean no disrespect, and I'm sorry if there are about to be detrimental consequences.
*Takes a step towards Paul, then punches him across the face*
*Paul falls to the floor and starts to growl. But Elizabeth steps in front of him*
Elizabeth: How dare you strike a member of staff like that!! This is another mark on your record and you are to clean dishes for a month in the kitchen.
Now get back to training. Now!!!!
*Paul gets up and slinks off holding his face*
*Frowns* No, Madame- you must have something wrong. I punched him. He didn't hit anyone?
((It sounds amazing, Ari.))
((Maraaaaaaaa!))
Elizabeth: All I saw was self defence on your part Miss Dark.
*And Elizabeth winks at her*
Alexis: I bet you did dream abd we wiuld pull yiu out
*Sighs* Of course.... *Frowns slightly, glancing at him*
(( . . .
Okay.))
#ChaseForBookNine
(okay?)
((Haha! I have a keyboard now! *expertly brandishes words* I'm invincible!!
And Anni posted an awesome thing today, and Ember and Mith have been here more frequently, and this place is making me so happy now! Now, if only I can figure out how to make my plot happier...))
#ChaseForBook9
(Hello!
If you manage a way, that would be amazing!!)
(And happy)
(Ole)
Elizabeth: Don't worry about Paul, he's always been like this. Its just something we all get on with and he just gets on with it too.
No matter how many services we supply for him or how many activities with get him involved with. He's always the same.
*Lorcan just stares off*
Lorcan: I can always count on you to save me...
((Gah! Curse my overuse of the word "now"! *glares at "now"* *stops glaring and hugs it because it's a word and it's so beautiful and functional and I love it a lot*))
#ChaseForbook9
*Feels for the kid* Why though?
Alexis: *giggles* of course
(Im not sure how to help you until War is gone and Im petrified of the copy so i am not daring mentally reach to him for fear of my head
((I feel like I should say something, but idk what. Still here, though.))
*Elizabeth sighs*
Elizabeth: He just doesn't take too well to change. He has literally been here all his life. He was abandoned here back just as I was taking over the facility.
(okay Fabi *hugs*
I just found out that I'm actually 2 blogyears old?
What?
Does that count? I made an account in October 2011, and I commented on every post, but I didn't become a regular until later..)
I believe that all people have good and bad aspects, and branding someone as bad and just sticking with that opinion . . . did you know, if a teacher thinks his/her pupils are going to fail, they're more likely to fail than if he/she thinks they'll succeed?
Also, if everyone expects someone to be a certain way, it's very hard to change.
Plus, if you try really hard to change but everyone is just treating you badly because you've been bad in the past . . . do you know how crushing that is, and how hard it is to change?
People should be encouraged.
If you see the best in people, they're more likely to see it in themselves, and more likely to bring it to light.
You shouldn't punish people for doing bad things.
You should reward them for doing good things.
#ChaseForBookNine
((Hey there, Moss! *hugs*
You know, there was something that I was thinking that might happen that would have just been so awesome, but then those kids and the copy just messed it all up and now it's not happening.))
#ChaseForBook9
Have you ever thought that's why he's so cruel? Having to grow up without parents to love him, where here he's just a candidate?
Poor thing..
*Moves past her towards Paul*
(*Points to Star* *hugs*)
((Heh- Paul went down with Adra punching him, and now he'll get up and find her hugging him or something.))
#ChaseForBook9
*Paul sees Adra coming towards him but he just keeps walking to the training room*
Paul: Go away from me. Go and treat Lorcan. I don't want the idiot to die in here.
Brother: *points to Bloglandian Name Thing, the one with the stripes and the black background* I can't actually see any NAMES in here, can you?
Me: WHAT? *looks at him in annoyance* Well, taht's because you're an ignorant *brother's name* who can't read!
Brother: *points to 'Taia'* Is that Zaf? Z . . . A . . . F?
Me: No, that's Taia. *facepalm*
Brother: *points* Fab!
Me: That's Fabi.
Brother: Oh. Thought it was Fab.
Me likes Fabs!
Brother: *points to Nix* Nix!
Me: *looks* Yeah, that's Nix!
Brother: *points to Zaf* Zaf! Z, A, F!
Me: Yay!
Brother: Aw . . . I can't remember any . . . *thinks* Louisiana?
Me: Luciana. *facepalm*
(sorry, recounting conversation as it happens. :P)
#ChaseForBookNine
(I want to help but Im petrified.... Like I want to stop War but that copy is scary and im not getting an angry Nic style lecture on how im risking his life
(Shhh spoilers, Aretha!)
No, Paul, please- *Grabs his arm* Wait! I'm sorry for hitting you. That wasn't very kind of me.
Ole
Brother: *points to Adra* Adra!
Me: Yay! I'll tell her you found that!
Um, Adra, he found and managed to recognise your name. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
(Awh, Starry :P)
DAMMIT.
I dedicate to my two Bloglandian Name Project Things!
#ChaseForBookNine
Paul: Don't apologise. You did what needed to be done. No damage done.
*He starts walking again as he heads straight for the punching bag*
(*Raises glass* Hear hear!!!)
No, really, Paul! *Moves, blocking his path*
Look at me.
*Waits for him to*
I'm sorry. Please- let me have a look at it?
((Hugs))
((I love to hit things when I'm upset. But I'm never angry. Like, if I try to strike out of anger, I only strike, like, twice and then I'm so exhausted and I need to stop and I feel loads worse. I love being emotionless when I hit things, though. I'm going to quote Fight Club- "when the fight was over, nothing was solved, but nothing mattered". So sparring is awesome for me, but in a different way than I think most people would expect.))
#ChaseForBook9
*Paul tilts his head and does what he's told*
Brother: *is looking at other Bloglandian Name Thing now* I have a feeling Adra's around here . . . *points to Ivy/Ieni section*
Me: Nope!
Brother: *points fingers at actual Adra, the R, without noticing what it is* That's an X .. .
Me: No, that's an R. If it was an X, it wouldn't have that join across the top.
Brother: Oh.
#ChaseForBookNine
@Ari: That sounds awesome. :) *hugs*
(There's Bloglandian Name Thing number 1.)
#ChaseForBookNine
(*hits Aretha with a feather* YOU BROKE THE FIRST RULE.)
*She tilts his head towards the light, having to get on her tip-toes to reach him, before reaching into her bag, and pouring a little purple liquid onto a towel, and dabbing his face where she hit him*
(And there's Bloglandian Name Thing number 2!)
OH GOSH.
I JUST REALISED.
I MISSED OUT THE 'N' IN 'LYNXIA' ON THE SECOND ONE. *facepalm*
DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.
I missed out the 'K' in 'SPARKY' on the first one. XD
My brother just worked out what Adra was!
He's spotted Zaf and Zath. :)
#ChaseForBooknien
(Ari dear do you want to rp?
*Paul winces slightly but lets Adra treat him*
Paul: How is Lorcan still alive? Serious question.
(It's just so beautiful, Star :'D)
(Hmm? Me? He read LSODM?
Thanks, Adra. :)
Irreadable, though.
#ChaseForBookNine
(No, really- it's really beautiful, Star. It looks amazing :D)
*Frowns* I wouldn't know.
It's my blogversary :) *Goes to type out long messages to people*
(SAPH *cuddles* HAPPY BLOGGERVERSARY! *hugs*)
((They're awesome, Star!))
((I should post an updated pic of my name project... I haven't updated that blog in ages and there are a lot more names now... Over a hundred, I think...))
@Zaf: No. *shrugs* He's nine. He'll read it sooner or later.
(Yes, he could technically read it already, but he's scared he'll damage my books and I'll be cross, plus I'd rather he read them when he was a bit older and could appreciate their brilliance better. Plus, it's a bit mean when the last few books are 11+. Not sure how keen my parents are on him reading 11+ books. Besides . . . there's so many books you can only read when he's his age. He needs to read them whilst he is still his age, and can save SP until he's that age. :))
He probably just knows you from reading comments or me talking about you, Zaf. :P
#ChaseForBookNine
SAPPHY
HAPPY BLOGVERSARY [hugs] [Dances around]
Yay, Saph!!! :)
*hugs Adra and Lantern* :) :)
I suppose I just generally have an attraction with beautiful things that nobody can understand. XD
#ChaseForBookNine
(I know, Star. That's why you like me :P)
*Paul stops her dabbing after a minute or two before he nods politely and keeps heading for the punch bag*
(Ah! Its odd for me I keep getting followers and DM's on Twitter: oh you're Grand Mage of America and im like yeah (i think it makes people shocked as i have myself on a throne at Medeval Times as my profile
*She tucks the cloth away, staying where she is*
Paul, why are you so angry all the time?
@Adra: XD
#ChaseForBookNine
#ChaseForBookNine
Fabi; Over a hundred? Wow o_O *squeezehugs her back*
Adra; Thank you :3 *cuddles happily* Wow, one year... it feels like longer :)
Wifey; Me like beautiful things too! *waves arms around happily*
My family laugh at me when I mention the blog, so they don't know who you are... my friends do though :)
(Staph is my ship.
OH MY GOD
CAN I DO STAPH FOR A SHIPS OF BLOGLAND PLEASE>)
Good morning, afternoon, evening, or other, Blogland.
My sis knows who a lot of you are. :-)
Saph, I think it was a hundred and four. I'd have to check, though.
Well, Hunter's the Grand Hunter of Hunterville.
*can't stop laughing at that for some reason*
Um, yes.
I'm not entirely sure what I was trying to say there. I think I had a thought, and then the laughing chased it out. I blame Hunter. XD
Actually, Hunter's mostly just Hunter. Which won't make much sense, but ummm . . . yeah. :P He's doesn't really fit any category other than himself, but nobody really does, do that? Everyone is unique, and nobody will exactly match. And, like, one Grand Mage is entirely different to another Grand Mage. And in some places to some people, the word 'Grand Mage' will invoke anger and bitterness and dislike, and in other places to other people, it will bring a sense of love and patriotism, and in another place with other people it will cause fear and dread, and . . . *shrugs*
