Ah, 2013... I knew you well.
It was a good year for me, all things considered. A busy one, of course- but when is it ever any different? The Maleficent Seven and Last Stand of Dead Men were both released, delivering to me the most shocking revelation of all — that there's only one Skulduggery Pleasant left. Yes, technically I KNEW it was coming, but it still kinda took me by surprise to find myself writing the final book in the series.
So what else did I get up to in 2013? Let's recap, shall we?
January - dipped my toes into Twitter. Discovered Twitter to be basically quicksand, and so was unable to pull toes out. Still being dragged under.
February - I did an event at the Imagine festival in London, showing clips from movies that inspired Skulduggery. So much FUN.
March - Went to Germany. As usual, had an insane amount of fun and was kept incredibly busy for the entire time. The Maleficent Seven was unleashed upon an unsuspecting world.
Also met Steven Moffat and compared notes on how to traumatise people. (Speaking of which - The Time of the Doctor, eh? I'll miss Matt Smith, and it was so good seeing my beloved Amy back for a few seconds...)
April - was spent writing.
May - Started yapping to Ronda Rousey's mum. Which is, I think, an event worthy of an entire month.
June - this month consisted of me editing, touring, playing video games and watching movies. Not a bad way to spend a few weeks.
July - Read Geek Girl. Met Holly Smale. Holly Smale fell in love with me. It happens.
August - Last Stand of Dead Men released. Could life get any better?
September - My doggy died. This year I have had to put down my three dogs. I now have no dogs left. Ali's death sucked most of all.
October - My Doctor Who short story was released. Yay!
November - Writing for Book Nine.
December - Writing for Book Nine.
And how shall I be spending my New Year's Eve, you wonder? Will I be partying? Will I be singing? Carousing?
Nope. I'll be writing. And I'll be writing happily.
In closing, I'd like to thank all of you for your support, thank you for reading, thank you for being nice to each other, and for supporting each other. It's because of you that I am able to do the thing I love every single day.
I hope 2014 is kind to us all.
But especially me.

Evening all :)
This year for me has been... interesting.
I started off the year pretty low, and then crashed further, until I became scarily low.
But then you guys happened. You wonderful, beautiful, shining, unimaginable people who completely saved me.
So yes, this year started shit. But it's turned into something amazing over the course of just a few months.
And I just wanted to say thank you. (I'm probably going to reiterate what I said in that massive ded I did a while back)
Thank you Derek Landy for writing brilliant books that led me here.
Thank you every single one of you here, on this blog. Yes, we might fight at times, but we're a family and that's what a family does. It yells and shouts and screams until the cows come home. But, regardless, we love each other - right down to our bones.
And thank you Luciana Scáth for starting this all off and bring me here so that I could meet all these amazing people.
So here is to another year of us, of this :)

You see once you pick your first school you're ok and Storm students have epic attacks and powrrful but less health, Myth students learn spells with summoning mythical creatures and are okay some like Medusa are better but thats Myth school as your main only, Death students can be powerful too they have many spells that kkill and then heal themselves and can have a decent attack rate and decent amount of health, Life they heal mostly but have some attacks they have second highest ealth, Ice is weak attacks but good health the highest though attacls get better by the level Fire is decent both ways you have good health and good spells I like Efreet best, and then last is Balance which is hardest no prisms to convert if yo go against a balance boss its hard not many take it
Later in Celestia you can learn Star Moon or Sun magic and Star boosts your attacks and criticals Sun does that too but just to one spell and Moon allows you to transform to anoter school for a few rounds and is extremely helpful

So, this year has been a rollercoaster ride for me, to say the least. Ups and downs. Good and bad. Positives and negatives. You get the picture.
Anyway, when I was at my lowest of low, I always knew that you guys would be here for me, and not once have you failed me and left me all alone. You’ve been your usual perfect selves. But I don’t want to dwell on what was bad (even though you guys brought light into it <3).
The first time I met Derek Landy was this year, at an event in Leeds. I also met three wonderful Bloglandians there, who I will never cease to love. Flora met me by the door (and we saw Landy, wooooo!) and then we managed to find Star and Mel too (I’d already found Ellikins on the second floor c:). My point in bringing this up is, that day was probably the best day of my life. I met some wonderful people who will never leave my heart, and I wanted to say thank you to all of you for being here and being you, because without all of you I doubt things would have worked out the same. Especially you, Flora, Star and Mel. <3
Then there was Manchester. Rhydian found me there! (I love you man) and Derek wore my Skullified hat. Which was ace.
But over the year, I have found who my real friends are and who I love most of all. I’d like to say I wasn’t surprised it was all of you guys, but I was for some reason. Half of the time, I’m convinced that you all hate me. But then I’ll get a random message – like I did earlier today – from one of you saying thank you, and I’ll just sit and cry because you guys cannot get much more perfect even if you try.
Thank you for supporting me with my becoming an author too – Star even has a signed copy and she got so excited about it, it really made my year special.
Thank you for supporting me in general.
Thank you for an amazing year. Next year will be extra special, especially in August because I will hug each and every one of you who I see. Especially Maralie. Because she’s beautiful and I love her, because she’s my little sister.
May next year bring happiness and excitement for us all!

I, personally, thought the movies were fine on their own, and the first one was actually pretty funny. But only when I'm not comparing them to the books. In comparison to the books, I think they are awful and deficient.

(Yes, Edward. It has a completely random plot (if it can be called a plot) and it makes absolutely no sense. The first one was just "Check this out" all the time. They fixed the script issue, but then there's character inconsistencies, plot inconsistencies, general inconsistencies, just random things which aren't at all explained which is irritating... really powerful creatures which are defeated so easy...)

In a dream I had last night, I was sent off to war, and I didn't want to go, but I had to anyway.

A few guards, probably. The dungeons are pretty expansive, and the guards move around, so if we're lucky we won't meet with any resistance. If you see a guard and it runs, don't chase it. I learned that the hard way. Just kill it if you can, or leave as quickly as possible if you can't. If we're unlucky, we'll meet up with a more powerful mage- possibly one of Mevolent's generals, or someone like Hyde or Niccolò's copy.

((Um, regarding the praying thing- I'm technically Catholic (I disagree with a few things, but agree with most of it), and I pray. Niccolò has had over 500 years to break his faith. He's pretty sure that if there is a God, he's either too busy or doesn't care about us humans, so He is not to be relied on. But that's just Niccolò, and he does not wish to offend anyone, so here's a disclaimer on his part.))

Well, it's all a tad bit connected into one big life story of mine, and, er, it might take a while to get through, which, I'm sure you probably don't, um, have the time for...
(I agree with some teachings and others I do not but it is cool Nic was a priest)
(Aye- I grew up Methodist, but I think Catholicism is a very lovely denomination of Christianity- I like the reverence of it especially, in comparison to some Protestant denominations... I'm not quite sure what I believe, but it definitely isn't fully Christian. I am, however, very intrigued by other faiths and religions.)
