Taia, it's sad to see Matt Smith go, because I feel that the Doctor/Companion mechanic won't work as well with an older Doctor now that we've had 9/10/11. But idk, maybe he'll do a good job :)
Oh my gosh, today . . .
I needed to print something out, so I headed over to computer. It had a black screen and the on button was orange, so I looked about for the tower to switch it on, and there were two towers - one in between me and the boy next to me's computer, and one behind the boy next to me's computer. As the tower in between us had a blue light, like it was switched on, I assumed that one was his tower and reached behind his computer to hit the button on the other tower, EXCEPT that turned out to be his tower and when I hit the button his computer shut down and he got really annoyed at me. :P Then it turned out that all I had needed to do to make my computer active was move the mouse.

It was a bit mortifying. XD

There's somebody in my W/Bacc. class who, when I go to log in, will hit the 'enter' key on my keyboard so that the computer goes OOH LOGIn and spends a couple of minutes trying to log in veeerrry slowly before realising that the login is incomplete and goes back to the login screen and then rinse and repeat. Annoying, some. :P

@Taia: I get what you mean. :) :) :) :) It was radifyingness.
Like how you have old printers that print blurrily and that's all they do, and then you have new printers that photocopy and have a wireless connection and print at different speeds with perfect clarity, and YET, the new ones always seem to lose connection and paper jam and all sorts, whereas the old printer, however basic it was, NEVER had any problems (over than running out of paper and that) and always printed really reliably. :)
When people make new printers, they don't make better printers. They give them new features, but they're lacking in some of the old ones. "The left isn't better, it's just more of the same" - Avenged Sevenfold.
It's like how all the shops go "Oh, look, we open on Sunday! Aren't we special and awesome?" because they think saying that will make them look better and attract more customers. However, they now close on Monday instead, so they're open the same amount of days.
It's like how my primary school doesn't actually try and be a good school, it just tries and LOOKS like a good school, and it has all these special features and show-y off-y things, and they can natter on about their multi-cultural kitchen and their special *insert name of school* handwriting and five thousand trips and how ahead of everyone else they are all they want, but are the kids really benefiting from this? They don't especially like it, and sometimes it's actually bad (like parents having to pay for trips and TOO MUCH MONEY REQUIRED ARGGHHHH, and how if kids do things at primary they just recap them in secondary and what's the point and it's not special at secondary). It's just trying to LOOK good, not BE good.
. . . Sorry, those are a few pet rants of mine. :P Most of it isn't even connected, but ummm . . .

@Star: Oh, I agrees, there. Especially on the printer thing. (except that my printer is the older type - though it does feature a scanner - and it prints blurry and can't feed the paper through straight, or sometimes at all. It shakes crazy and will only seem to connect to our probably-about-ten-years-old-computer. BUT your case is still very valid, and I very very agree. And great analogy, too. :3 )

My friends had 1D's new(?) album playing at lunch, today. Nobody usually plays music unless earphones(sometimes sharing) for the sake of not making noise or disagreement of songs, but mostly the noise and other people in the room, but they made an exception for Midnight Melodies. Everyone was together and alone simultaneously. They were hearing each other and seeing each other and rushing by each other and shoving past each other and stumbling into each other, but people were grouped into their own little isolated uncommunicative bubbles, as if the other market-goers were simply obstacles to be overcome, words with just noise and no meaning."
And my last paragraph (apart from a few lonely sentences) is:
"A seller swore as a box was dropped, shattering the flow of life around them, making people turn with expressions like bowls of Cheerio’s, their eyes and mouths forming circular ‘o’s. With the shattering of the moment, there had been the shattering of the goods, and as the person shovelled items back into the box, cracks and broken parts glared out at them, the images seeping into their emotions in the form of display. As the incident was sorted, the bubbles reformed and people drifting off, lost in the foggy stream of the crowd, and the seller was left alone again."

And . . . I think that things that break those isolated bubbles and bring people together are just beautiful, and it's amazing how 1D can do that, group people together. :) The Plains Indians would not work as one united force because of there being traditional enemies within them, and Indians helped the white men to destroy other Indians, and if they'd all worked together as one big society . . . maybe they'd have had more success. :/

I hear that in a song and I don't know why it's those things that I take to but it IS. They're just honest, y'know? Even if you're expecting an electric shock, it's still called an electric shock, and because of the gaspness that came with the cold burning at my hand, I exclaimed that it was cold, to demonstrate my emotions at that moment.

@Star: Wow. Your paragraphs are really great. We did a busy market scene for our practice on descriptive before the C/A. I think yours sounds better. I like it. Especially the lines in the opening where it feels like they're kind of rolling in all different directions and flooding into and past one another and it adds to the ants-y sense, which is a brilliant effect. :)
But the bubbles of isolation - I love that. And I agree. Beautiful. :)
