The ghosts had activated the bulb before for their attack on Blogland, some time ago, but had been too far out of range to do it, hence why one had tried to drag Adra towards the woods. Except Belinda and Lucinda didn't know about Adra specifically and Effie didn't know who they were talking about because they didn't say.]

But it IS the day after my all-night lock-in, so I'm feeling a bit exhausted and more than a little dizzy. Do you like my new profile picture of me, Oscar Neurotic, Dexter Vex, and Nefarian Serpine chillin' on the beach?
She told me to put the counters in two piles, which one of each counter in each pile. I did them so the piles weren't matching. She then got this wooden box with two holes in, and she took one pile and put a counter in one of the holes, face down. I put one of mine in - the one at the bottom, that she couldn't see - face up. She said "I predicted that" and put her second counter in on top of her first one, face down. I couldn't see her counter, btw. I put my counter in, face up. The time it landed in the box was the first time she saw it, and she was putting her counters in before me. We put the rest of our counter in, then she put the lid on the box, tapped it with her magic wand, shook it, and opened it by taking the bottom off and leaving the piels of counters on the lid. She took the top two counters - which had previously been the bottom two - off, and they matched. So did the next two counters. And all of them. O_O There wasn't enough room in the box for her to be hiding replacement counters and swapping them round. I'm positive. Plus, how would she put them there when she didn't know what order my counters were in?
@Annika: I know there's some trick somewhere. It's just no very work-outable. :) So I'm impressed. Usually, when siblings show you magic tricks, they either get them wrong or it's blatantly obviously what the trick is. Like her one where she made the handkerchief disappear in her magic bag - there was a switch underneath the handle that switched the fabric around.
To have a GOOD magic trick that you can't work out presented to you by a sibling is pretty damn rare. :)

It just becomes part of your vocab. I picked up most of the words I know from books I read, and then go pronouncing them all wrong because I've never heard them said out loud. Words just get imbedded into your subconscious. :) People get in the habit of using it.

A. She is too busy to reply--will not change with more pestering
B. She is somehow unable to reply, perhaps hasn't even seen emails--also will not change with pestering
C. She is intentionally ignoring the emails for reasons unknown--hardly likely, but will not change with pestering either.
D. Life happens--also will not change with repetition of the same strategies.
