Laura was meant to come round yesterday to pick up her copy, but instead she's calling round tonight. While I wait for her to arrive, I've been going over the word counts to all the books so far. I'm very surprised by the first four books— for some reason, I thought everything I've written had been over 80,000 words. Apparently not.
Skulduggery Pleasant was 67,393 words.
Playing With Fire was 69,683.
The Faceless Ones was 69,689.
Dark Days was 77,335.
And now we see the numbers start to jump...
Mortal Coil was 104,000.
Deathbringer was 118,000.
Kingdom of the Wicked was 134,765.
And the second draft of Last Stand of Dead Men is coming in at a back-breaking 156,688 words. Basically, it's twice the length of Dark Days.
I don't know how long it'll be after the edit, but hopefully I'll be able to trim it down a little.

Well, news flash - I am trying to be found by my friends with the name I already use! You idiots are obsctructing that from happening and may make people not add me coz they don't recognise me. -_-

i can post the little bit ive done Cain:)
A large jail, like building jutted out from the earth. It was dank and grey, the volume however was large. Wired fence was doubled around the whole building, topped with barbed wire, and then surrounded by another lot of the stuff. Four large gun towers surrounded the Jail, people were positioned on each, but it was hard to see their features, let alone identify who they were. However the smell of death and decaying bodies was intense. Twenty odd people seemed to be walking along the outside of the Jail, but they were more than people by the looks of it. Blood smeared their shirts; they were bone skinny and when they turned to face you it was as if their eyes had retreated into the back of their head. Some had hands and arms torn off. Others half dangling legs. One of them had a jaw that seemed to be missing. Their skin was grey-ish and their clothes too baggy. It was like a living hell, or a necromancer heaven. Dead bodies and half eaten bodies lay further away from the jail, and everyone acted as if this was an everyday occurrence. A blue box appeared on the top of the prison. It didn’t appear silently, but it didn’t make a noise. It was, as you could clearly see, a 1960’s Police Box. A man in a suit stepped out and looked around, followed by a girl in a nice yellow dress. Neither of them seemed to expect what they saw.
And then the vision faded to black.

ONCE UPON A TIME IS AMAZING. IT'S ALL MYSTERIOUS AND FRACTURED STRUCTURE. AND REGINA IS SO HORRIBLE BUT I FEEL SO SORRY FOR HER. AND MR. GOLD IS ONE OF THE BEST CHARACTERS EVER (partially because of brilliant acting). AND ASDFGHJKL.
And modern-world David is just so pathetic. You don't WANT him and Snow to get together because he's just so useless and asdfghjkl.
