I kind of find the opposite in my writing, Adra- my characters take the story and run with it, and my plots are never predetermined. I just come up with the first problem, and let the rest unfold on its own. But everybody writes differently.

I get anxious around people, like, even friends, because my mind is like rainfall in wind of rapidly altering direction, and nothing in there is organised, so I have to dash around for words, resulting in a slip-up in the puddles, and I just sit, confused, instead.
But of course, they don't see any of that rain and the puddles and whatnot.
People who've been in most of my classes for four years still say to me "Y'know, I've never heard you talk."

Well Derek knows Erin means Ireland so my mom thought he liked my given name but she was curious as to why he didnt address me as Zafira because I'm an Elder and its reapectful, I couldn't even answer.

I found it hard to take a name at first, because I love my name so much... It tells the story of my family. My parents met on a ship called the Mallory Lykes (my dad was the captain, my mom was the third mate), and he fell in love with her and retired and literally chased her all over the world. And got her away from a horrible boyfriend who I would hunt down and beat into a pulp if she would tell me his name. Then they fell in love and got married and had their honeymoon at the Cabo San Lucas, and then they moved to Connecticut and had two kids, and the rest is just a memoir. They named me Mallory, after the ship, and my brother Lucas, after their honeymoon. So my name has significance. And I also think it suits me. I just find it to be a really cool name. But I also love Aretha Tesla. So now I've got two names I love, and I don't think that's such a bad thing.

Just sharing personal opinion for no real reason. :)

My given name is Mallory Karolina Zabrocky. Mallory after the ship my parents met on, Karolina after my great grandmother, and Zabrocky is just my dad's last name. Though it's meant to be spelled Zabrocki. It's polish. When my dad's family moved to America, people just started spelling it the wrong way, and nobody corrected it, so it stuck.

I think you all have brilliant names - Both in the given and the taken.
I generally try not to keep opinions on names, because I feel like, you hear a person's name, you already like the name, maybe you feel more obliged to like the person. Which is alright, I suppose, but with a name you hold something against for some reason, then maybe that leads to holding their name against them. Which I don't want to do, so I try to avoid opinions on names.
But, that said, I like them, I think as much as I can without breaking my own rules too far. :P
