Aretha actually barely had a hand in creating me. She only wrote me into the MC because she knew there was no way for an 18 year old to make a living killing people with hundreds more years of experience than she had. I was supposed to be an incredibly minor character who only showed up once or twice. For a while she contemplated making me a vampire. Ultimately, I essentially wrote myself.

The 19 is completed, because that's Little Mix and they only have one album. The 39 is also completed, and that's One Direction, and I did that one mostly beacuse Maranesssssssss . . .
The 79 is also completed, because that's Disturbed and I did it first.
The 3 is before the rest because I had two non-lyrics playlists, but now I've deleted the videos on them. I'm filling on up with lyrics vids, and I'm going to fill the other one up when I'm doing another playlist. I only allow myself to work on four at a time . . .
The 57 is sort-of-completed-but-not-really, because there's still one album I haven't done, but I've decided not to do it yet as it came out less than six months ago.

@Star: I think so. But I guess that includes different versions of the same song, like, variations on a theme kind of thing, maybe. Then, considering they've been running for over 30 years (I think), and the fact that they have a number of songs ranging between 5 and 20 seconds, may also add to that number. :P
And then, there was the dial-a-song. (An answering machine, on which they recorded songs, and advertised the phone number in newspaper, early on, basically), which I think featured over 500 different songs/variations through its time. But, yeah. :P

*random massive rant following, feel free to ignore* Like in the acoustic version of The Last Fight, it started much sadder and heartbrokener and I was just thinking that I may have found an acoustic version that was better than the original, when the chorus started and I was like AW HELL NAW, beacuse it just say "I will fight," when the whole reason I feel in love with the song was the way the "I WILL FIGHT!!!" sprung up. Because there's this person dying of drug addiction, and the song-character, who's his/her friend, is just thinking "Should I fight for what is right or let it die?" And I'd just been listening to I Won't See You Tonight about suicide, and at the pre-chorus I was just like whydoIlistentothisdepressingmusic, and then he just yelled "I WILL FIGHT!" and I was just so happy. I just commented saying FINALLY, A SONG-CHARACTER MAKING A GOOD DECISION! :)
And the whole point is, you're unsure what he's going to go and then he says "I WILL FIGHT" really strongly and certainly and powerfully, and you're just so happy he hasn't given up and is fighting. When it's just "I will fight", it's more sad and you don't get the same elation . . .
However, like I said, the verses are much more sad and tragic in acoustic. "Everyone's sick of caring/No silver lining on the cloud that covers you/Let it pour and soak you through" than when the music is just going SMASH and partially drowning out the emotion.
(That's not to say music drowns out emotion. Typically, it creates emotion and it's awesome. It just blocks it slightly in this song. And this is why BFMV aren't the awesomest band ever.)

Like, (this may also become a little long) there's this one MCS from their first album, and it's kind of raw shouting-y, and sounds a little like it's been sped up because it's kind of just solid noise.
And then I saw a video of it performed live on an acoustic set, and I just thought it sounds so pretty and such. (And the crowd watching were all slightly confused, because naturally, the only version they'd ever heard was the louder one, so they little idea what was going on, there. :P)
I love both versions. While the acoustic lacks that athemic feeling, it has more melody, and just different tone to it that the other does not. :)

. . . That was actually very interesting, so yes. :)
I suppose it depends how good the original is to begin with . . . Because some songs I know, I'd kind of like to hear an acoustic off beacuse the sound does partially ruin it very slighlty, whereas others, they just cannot be improved, and the sound works so well.
. . . This is slightly off-track, but in the middle of The Wicked End, this string orchestra comes in and this operatic background singing starts. And it's just absolutely beautiful. And then the 'ordinary' instruments kick back in with these dark vocals, and the point (I think), is so that you're thinking "this is really beautiful", and then the darkness makes a contrast with it, and it's showing that what began as this beautiful things in the Garden of Eden went horribly downhill and now we're left with this horrible mess and all this suffering.
And if it was an acoustic version, then you wouldn't get the same contrast between that and the strings/orchestra/opera/whatsits.
And now I want to compare between acoustic and non/acoustic versions of songs. XD

The song I mentioned before, (Don't Call it a Comeback), in its original version, because of the shouting it sounds like the words are straight out of the mind, where they're most frustrated, kind of. Whereas in acoustic performance, it sounds more gentle, or respecting? I don't know.
They're different tones or feelings, used to describe the same matter/circumstance/thought/other, which give it an overall different impact, maybe?
*On a slightly unrelated topic, I guess if, also MCS, the song Everyone Will Die was performed acoustic without ITS string-section (which I'm sure it has, but I don't remember the result), I don't think it'd have the same melancholy-yet-uplifting feeling that it does. But I don't think there's any rock in that song anyway, particularly. It just mightn't have that effect. :3

I'd like to compare different versions of the same song, both in non-acoustic (eg. if re-recorded for another album, or for a split EP or something, or just between album-releases and demo tracks. :3). Like 1000 Paper Cranes. There are parts I prefer in both versions. :3
